I chose this hotel because of the good reviews and location. After a long bike tour, I wanted a hassle-free stay and paid $77 USD for one night.

The first night was fine. The issue began when I went to extend my stay. Instead of processing the extension, the staff brought out a laundry bag with a towel I had used to wipe dirt off my hiking shoes and told me I would have to pay for it to be washed.

When I asked how much, they said they would “let me know tomorrow” because it was Sunday. That meant I was expected to accept an unknown charge.

I reviewed the contract, translated it, and pointed out the clause stating guests can only be charged if an item is permanently damaged and cannot be restored by washing. Only after I referenced this section did they say management decided not to charge me.

Given the premium rate, this handling was disappointing. I chose not to extend my stay and moved two blocks away to a private apartment with underground parking and a washer/dryer for $33.

The location is good, but if you stay here, pay close attention to any additional charges and be ready to defend your rights.

easy check in, great location, super safe vibes and plenty of food options. Staff was very helpful and not disappointed with the well-known top scaled Colombian hospitality. Clean hotel and good amenities. The room was quiet, spacious with a beautiful view of the city and the soccer stadium, but unfortunately the bed was very hard, and it had a anti-fluid film covering the mattress making it very noise and uncomfortable, other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Modern, comfortable hotel on El Cable área of Manizales. No frills but adequatley furnished rooms and bathrooms. Clean and quiet . Hotel provides a nice buffet breakfast. On site covered parking. Hotel provides all day dining options but does not have a bar, although area near hotel has many dining/ bar options. Walk to nearby mall or just few minutes drive from Milán night life. Traveled with our dog who had a great time-hotel requires proof of vacinations and daily rate is a little high for pets,
Strangely Manizales does not have big hotel brands so this is a good option for *** hotel.

I have to judge a place based on the sleep I get... And I am writing this review in the middle of the night, so it is not going well.

First, the rooms get baked by sun all day, but the windows barely open and there is no AC, so you also have to stay in a hot uncomfortable room all night. Don't expect to sleep well.

Second the bed is hard and uncomfortable. And sleeping with a window open is impossible because it the city noise.

Third, it is not clean. Just have a look at the area next to the mini fridge, or the curtain. It is truely disgusting, and has never been cleaned - pictures attached.

Fourth, the room has no lighting, broken lamps, and old furniture. It's embarassing for an Estelar property - pictures attached. The bathroom fan also makes the most horrible grinding noise.

Fifth, the wifi. It's only 1.5MB/s. Totally unusable for work, calls, or video. Speedtest attached.

Sixth, there's an iron but no ironing board in the room. This is stressful on a busy morning.

I can't believe I paid so much much money for such a misleading and disappointing hotel. I can only hope that the coffee is good tomorrow, because I will need it after this terrible sleep.

Standard business hotel in poor location

This is a standard business hotel. Poor location and neighborhood, not close to restaurant, very little walkability. Good staff. The facilities are average. Lighting in rooms is poor. Lamp did not work. Internet difficult to access.

Worst hotel experience ever! This should not even be called a hotel, rather a motel. Traveled as a group and reserved 4 rooms; 3 of the 4 rooms had roaches (took video to prove it to them). The 4th room was not even cleaned from the prior guests… they gave us the key to another room; when we got there and opened the room someone else was already staying there!!

Looks like the cleaning staff helped themselves to my luggage and stole my shoes. After I complained to the front desk, they completely blew me off. I highly encourage anyone staying here to lock there luggage or use the safe if possible. Thievery is rampant here. No one is taking responsibility here. You have been warned.

Everything was fine until we went to check out of are room and found out because my wife made local phone calls that are not free to guests of the hotel and are charged at a per minute rate, which is not disclosed anywhere by the phone in the room. We owed an additional charge of 247,000 pesos. What even became more annoying we asked to speak with a manager and there was no manager on the premise! What a joke the desk clerk did not have a clue how to handle this wrong on their part. This was a daytime event and I would expect someone in authority to be available to discuss problems.

Comfortable quiet gem of a hotel

Simple but first class hotel with extremely helpful staff. Everything we needed with no fuss. Very comfortable bed and everything worked. One of the nicest places we stayed in during a month all over Colombia.

A special hotel

After travelling throughout Colombia this hotel was wonderful to stay at. The most comfortable bed and pillows of all our hotels at all levels, charming and helpful staff, spotlessly clean, this hotel for us achieved far above its classification. Thankyou Orlando, Andreas and all your colleagues.

Hotel did not honor reservation

Hotel did NOT CHECK me in. I showed confirnation # and address. They sent me to ANOTHER hotel 15 km distant. Two taxis. Totally su prise and disappointed.

The staff was super professional and friendly. They gave us a great room with an awesome view of the city. It was very clean and organized.
The only very minor detail was the bed, which woke me up every time my husband moved.
Overall, and excellent choice!

Nice Botel in the mountains

It is a 5 star hotel, the staff gets you anything you need. Even though breakfast and dinner are included, for breakfast the staff will make something special for you.
