Just a motel really nothing flash , bathroom was a let down ,shower head was terrible wide over powering spray and made the floor mat outside soaked every time. Looks like the shower gets a basic wipe down but has a lot of gross build up in the corners which was off putting to us .

Room very small for three adults we had to single file around the unit.
Excellent shower pressure and very clean.
We didnt know it was dog friendly until unfortunately two dogs had a fight outside our unit.
We would not have stayed here if we had known about the dog friendly status. Would be interesting to know if some rooms are dedicated dog friendly or its just the look of the draw?

Great except I was surrounded by a group of people who were up drinking and chatting directly outside my door so I couldn't even walk outside without tripping through the group and feeling awkward. Maybe set up a communal area that isn't interfering with other guests in their room.

Was within easy walking to nice restaurants but far enough that it was quiet at night. A 2-pk of biscuits as part of the coffee/tea on the first night, but don't get replaced. Not a biggie, but seems a bit cheap. One bottle of shampoo that doubles as a body wash, not that nice. The room was tidy and the bed was large, but it was small and for a 3 night stay was a bit claustrophobic. Did have a heater towel rail though, which so many in the South Island don't, so that was nice.

Customer service was great, the room was clean. BUT, the room itself was very, very small, the bed and pillows were pretty uncomfortable, there was paint peeling on the roof in the shower. Not worth the $140.00 a night that we paid. I would have expected to have had a bigger more comfortable room for that price.

Motel is clean and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi and parking. It's conveniently located within a 10 minute walk of the town centre, which is at the heart of the Marlborough wine region of New Zealand. Ideal place to spend some time and only a 20 minute drive from the ferry terminal at Picton, if you're heading to the North Island.

Good location, close to Blenheim shops

The room was very basic, but clean and well presented. The kitchen facilities were ok although the kettle had a lot of lime/calcium built up on the inside. The bathroom was spacious, however I think the room I was in was for disabled quests, as the shower was an \"open\" shower with pull curtains. After each shower I noted that water from the shower had been splashed around the toilet and basin area.
The black-out curtains in the room were also very good although I did note cars entering the carpark in the evening would illuminate the room a little.
When checking in the receptionist was busy speaking with a maintenance man. I had to wait several minutes before they concluded their discussion and I was served. The only disturbing part of my stay was the bottle of milk you receive when checking in. An empty bottle is pulled from a shelf, and then presumably filled from the hotel owners own fridge. She then spent a further minute finding a plastic cap that would fit the little milk bottle. Needless to say, I didn't use the milk - I like mine \"sealed\".

Hotel room was not the room we reserved

We reserved a standard studio, queen through Expedia and the room we received was a small room (#7) without a kitchen. We should not have to contact the hotel manger to make sure that we we receive the room we reserved. The hotel had no vacancies so we had no options. The management really dropped the ball on this reservation. I know a person should not have to contact the hotel to verify that they receive the room they reserve, but at this hotel it is necessary, for we traveled all over New Zealand, on both islands, and this is the only hotel that did not provide the accommodations we reserved.

I was in Blenheim for a reunion. I selected this motel as I have stayed there before, it is within easy walking distance to the centre of the town, and the venue for the reunion. I first came to Blenheim in 1957 and was located at RNZAF Base Woodbourne, I returned again and was based there 1963-1965. I have returned to the area a number of times. The town of Blenheim has everything, the town centre is immaculate, and the locals are very proud of the town. Transport to the ferry at Picton operates at regular intervals and the air services to the area are excellent.

On arrival, greeted by a lovely man who escorted us to our unit and showed us where we could find everything. The location is great, shopping a few minutes walk. We found the beds a little too hard for our liking, but everything was clean and fresh. The only thing i would say was that a fan or aircon would be great for those hot Summer Blenheim nights.
Overall i would recommend this hotel

We stayed overnight, enroute to a 4-day tour with the Molesworth Tour Company (which was excellent and full of wonderful sights and experiences). The trip went well from the start with the manager of the Bella Vista picking us up at Blenheim Airport and giving us a \"Tiki Tour\" of Blenheim, back to the motel.
