Comfortable Stay with a Great Location

I've stayed at this hotel four times now and I keep coming back for its fantastic location and comfortable beds. This time, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade which made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff are always friendly and willing to help with anything I need. While I didn't have the chance to use the gym or swimming pool this time, I have in the past and they were both great amenities. Unfortunately, this time the tunnel to the adjacent building was closed, which meant I had to go outside to walk around. However, this was a minor inconvenience and didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the hotel. If you're looking for a nice hotel with a great location, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, I would definitely recommend this one.

I might have had a better opinion of this place had I not stayed at a notably better one just prior.

Location is good near a subway station and Olympic Park.

Part of the room was quite nice (new curtains, bedding), carpet was a bit stained, walls and furniture clearly showing wear, but overall a \"bright\" appearance.

Check-in was OK, though I didn't note anyone being on the \"very\" friendly side. (The temperature/code check persons were the friendliest, followed by the cleaning ladies.)

Price was a Beijing price and I was disappointed with it in relation with what was provided. But, it was overall comfortable.

Better than most, but don't be too picky.

This is an upper-level hotel in China, with spacious and fairly modern room. When you start looking at the details, though, you find the construction is not of the highest quality. Location is close to the Olympic Park and you can take metro downtown. Except for the park, the neighborhood has nothing. Fine underground pool but be aware that you MUST have a swim cap (standard in China).

Hotel is modern and clean with fantastic pool and gym. Room service is attentive. Weird thing is you would be required to wear a swimming cap in order to use the Olympic pool. If you don't carry it they \"suggest\" you purchase it for $16 from the hotel. Never encountered such a thing in any 5 star hotel in the world. Maybe this one is special. Also the life guard from the pool and gym would walk frequently back and forth to \"check on\" the hotel guests, do they understand Westerners have sense of privacy? Room is great but they keep the heat too high and it did not seem to be adjustable (asked the maid she was not able to do it). Overall a fantastic hotel only if they could educate the staff a bit more...

We enjoyed our 3-week stay at the China Nat'l Convention Ctr. in July-August 2018. It's walking distance to the Olympic Center where the Bird's Nest Stadium, Olympic Tower & the Cube are. The surrounding park is lively and filled with musicians, synchronized dance teams, karaoke singers, roller skaters, and families out taking a stroll and playing hacky sack, though it might be lonely & isolated in the colder months. Great running trails & ravenous koi fish to feed around the nearby lakes where you can rent swan paddle boats. Walking distance to the subway and Xin' Ao Shopping Center, which has some good restaurants (including a Starbucks) scattered amongst fast food restaurants e.g. Pizza Hu, a large grocery/drug store in the basement level, & a smaller drug store on the main level. (There's a 2nd Starbucks in a strip mall on the other side of the hotel + another good bookstore/cafe called Since the Zero nearby). Be sure to explore the mall thoroughly: it isn't laid out the way typical U.S. malls are, so there's actually a lot more than appears at 1st glance. The hotel rooms were extremely clean, comfortable & nicely furnished. The staff was extremely courteous and when we became ill, quite thoughtful by stocking us with extra toilet paper! Laundry services are rather steep but concierge services were excellent. The gym & pool were quite nice and it was nice to not have to walk in the sweltering heat to get to the convention center. Highly recommended.

The hotel location is perfect as it is very near the venue of our convention. The room was very clean with necessary amenities. Food excellent. However, the room was very warm (28 degrees celsius) as there was no air conditioner. The staff told me\" just open the window; no aircon as it is winter.\" I reasoned out that is is just Nov 1. It's not winter yet. So, I opened the window and became comfortable only in the early morning. In the evening of November 3 I was sweaty and not comfortable in my room, so I asked to be moved to a cooler room. The front desk staff told me, \"no more available room.\" I asked for the manager who transferred me to an upgraded room which was really comfortable.

Comfortable, Clean and Excellent Location

We stayed at this hotel for almost three weeks. Very clean, comfortable and excellent AC. We stayed during summer time and some days the temperature went up to the 100s , however our AC worked wonderfully. Our room was made every day and every evening they would come with complimentary bottled water and asked if we needed anything. We paid through Orbitz and we were not charged anything else. Like most hotels, they require a refundable deposit for incidentals . I checked my credit card balance upon arrival and nothing was charged. It is very close to the subway, a shopping mall and restaurants. And of course, it is close to The Nest and Convention Center. The office building next door called North Star has 2 convenience stores. One is open 24 hours. Again, I had a great experience!

The room was clean. The bed and air/conditioning was comfortable. The location was great. However, the service could be improved. Our booking was messed up on their record, so the receptionists took a long time to identify our booking. Another receptionist was rather rude when we asked about wifi connection. The video volume button in the toilet did not work and the shower curtain stinks a bit, but overall the hardware is great. Just that the software (i.e. service) needs a bit more training to keep up to its name.

Not very happy with the staff in the bar area they were unfriendly and when i was having a quick meeting in there even though i was a resident they were insisting that we had to get somehting from the bar!!!! Also they werent forthcoming wioth the discount if you chose to pay by cash and not charge to room even though you were entitles to it

A very good hotel, clean, functional and staffs are professional. You get what you need, and location is superb as our room could see net bird stadium. The breakfast is ok not as great as i expected. The only teething issue is air con is centrally controlled, the temperature in the room must be 25 degree plus (outside is -5 degree) even if we open the window

The hotel is very convenient for attending a trade show at the convention center. The lobby and facilities are nice. The rooms are ok. There was some water leaking out of the light fixture in our bathroom. I was glad I was traveling with someone who spoke Chinese because they had no idea what I was trying to tell them. We thought they fixed it but it was leaking again the morning we left. Overall the experience has been fine the 2 times I’ve stayed here and I will probably stay here again. We did notice that some of the staff at the Cafe restaurant seemed rude.

Because my schedule changes, I contacted hotels reception for one day early checkout and refund. The hotel staffs told me to contact Expedia by my own. After Expedia calling them several times, the hotel still refused my redound until I argued with them angrily.

Booked 2 rooms using 2 separate bookings. Wrote in via email 1 month ahead to request for adjoining rooms. They noted my request. However on arrival I was told the 2 deluxe rooms (50sqm) I booked were on different floors and if I require adjoining rooms I will need to take superior rooms (35sqm, sl cheaper rent). I showed them the email and they agreed to accommodate so I ended up in adjoining superior rooms but with included breakfast on 2 of 3 days stay.
I'd like to commend the staff on their excellent service - Geoff at the concierge was very efficient in helping me book places at restaurants I wanted to eat in. The printout even gave me a complimentary drink.
I also need to store my mobile fridge in the cafe freezer as there is no freezer in the room. The staff were quick to resolve the issue. Unfortunately their freezer isn't cold enough and my fridge panels did not freeze over.

Would be good to have small freezer in the fridge.
Room service starts at 11am so we were forced to go to the cafe for buffet breakfast. Good spread.
Prices at the hotel chinese restaurant and cafe are 5 star prices. Average meal with 1 vegetable, 1 tofu, 1 meat, 1 noodle and 3 rice with 2 evian cost 500+CNY. 44CNY for a 330ml bottle of Evian. Chinese restaurant dishes only have 1 serving size fairly large. Suggest to order few dishes and add on if insufficient, as we couldn't finish our food. Baby chair in restaurant too big for my baby. Cafe chair is ok.

Good hotel near CNCC

The hotel was fine. Walking distance to CNCC where the conference I was attending was held. Room are clean and roomy. The only issue (minor) I had was sometimes you can smell a little bit of smoke, as if someone was smoking on the same floor or next door, but not too bad. For the convenience of the location (to the CNCC) I will stay again if I come back for the same conference.

Convenient & Ideal Hotel for Attending Conventions

This is an ideal location if you have to visit a convention at the China National Convention Centre, the venue is across the road 2 min walk with underground access if the weather is bad. There is an Underground shopping mall 5 min walk with shops, food, supermarket etc.

The rooms are a good size and the windows open (but the staff close them) You will want to open the windows in summer as the room aircon is turned off and the rooms get quite hot. The public areas are air-conditioned but rooms only get fresh air and if facing west the room get HOT and stuffy unless you can open the window. They can provide a portable air cooler but these are not very effective.

The breakfast is OK but not as good as it could be but the staff are friendly and try to help. As in many hotels language is not as good as in the International Chain hotels (but this is to be expected)

I stayed in an executive room. The room is rather dated. Air conditioner wasn't working well, I had to open the window. The room was filled with smoke smell. Service & breakfast weren't fantastic either compared to the other hotels I've stayed in China. I won't stay here again.

The personnel barely speaks english. It was really hard to communicate. There are not many shops or restaurants at a walking distance. The breakfast is mostly chinese style and not very appealing.

Nice Beijing Hotel

This hotel was adjacent to the National China Convention Center and the Olympic Park. Very comfortable room. China has high number of smokers so common areas were smelly. Cigarette smoke would often blow into the room thus needing to lower the thermostat to circulate the air. Room offered very nice accommodations including bottle water since the hotel advised against drinking tap water. Nearby underground supermarket provided supplies for room refrigerator for quick breakfast before convention and touring.

Luxury hotel near the National Convention Center

Great place to stay if you're visiting the National Convention Center or Beijing in general. The Olympic Green metro station is a short walk away as there isn't much to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The executive level rooms are worth the extra cost as they include breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner in addition to the larger, more comfortable rooms. Hotel staff in general speaks limited but functional English but the Executive lounge staff speak very good English. Highly recommended hotel if you're working or visiting the area.

9 nights in Beijing

I stayed at the CNCC Hotel for 9 nights on business. I can't remember staying so many nights in any one hotel ever. Overall, it was a good hotel. Like most hotels in China, the staff speaks very limited English. It's strange when even the Concierge can't speak more than a few words of English. However, I didn't have any trouble communicating what I needed. The swimming pool / jacuzzi / fitness center is beautiful. My room was spacious and comfortable. There were many English-language TV channels to choose from. The wifi worked fine even though you can't access any Google or social media sites (in all of China; not just this hotel.) The restaurant was fine - expensive like hotel restaurants are, and the food was okay. The hotel is adjacent to the Convention Center, a large underground shopping mall, and the Olympic Park. However, there aren't any other stores or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. (There is a Starbucks around the corner, though - hallelujah!) The bed was really firm, but not like the wooden board I slept on the last time I was in China. Comfy pillows! The hallway on my floor always smelled like soap/bubble bath, which is probably what I will remember the most about the place.

Here for a conference, so staying at the hotel made sense. The resturant in the hotel is nothing special, neither is the hotel bar. It has been impossible to find a decent dry martini!
Breakfast was buffet style and actually good, although expensive if it is not included with your stay. Internet connection is dismal, but this is more likely just the fact that you are in mainland China rather than a responsibility of the hotel.

Good Overall hotel. Breakfast could do with some improvements. They have a underground walkway that is supposed to connect to the exhibition halls but it leaves you outside. The Intercontinental on the other side has a direct entry to the halls, which is very convenient while it is raining. However, the overall experience was nice. I would stay here again.

Hotel is in a great location near the Olympic stadium. Service is mediocre at best, very few staff members spoke English except for executive lounge staff who were extremely helpful.

Spent most of our time in the exec lounge.

Staff has limited English. Location is far from city center.

Room had heater turned on and could not be set to cool, so they told me to open the window and brought me a humidifier.

Also, went for a massage at the hotel spa and was offered the \"extra\" treatment. Furthermore, the lady conducting the massage (the same one who made the offer for \"extra services\") was not a masseuse and finished after 60 painful minutes (even though I paid for 90 mninutes).

High quality, tough location

We stayed here for a conference at the China National Convention Center. We chose a \"deluxe room\" for $10 USD more per night than a \"superior room.\" This is completely worth doing as the room is twice the size and the bathroom is huge. This hotel is half the price of the Intercontinental next door. You can walk indoors to the Convention Center from CNCC Grand Hotel in about 7 minutes.
Breakfast is not included with Expedia and very expensive (128 RMB + 15% or about $27 USD) which is overpriced.
The rooms are great high quality and convenient.
The problem with this hotel (and any hotel in this area) is there is very little around for walking too. Taxi to the main parts of Beijing such as Forbidden City, Tianemen Square, China National Museum, etc is 30-45 minutes (50 RMB).
There is a large underground mall you can walk to in 10-12 minutes that has a food court and grocery store, but most stuff does not open till 10 or 11 am, so not early enough for breakfast if you are at a conference.

A hotel for business stay

The condition of the hotel is excellent. I need my room clean when I travel and I am very satisfied with the cleanliness of my room and other facilities in the hotel. I stayed in the 14th floor and had the access to the executive lounge. The lounge does offer more privacy and quieter space. Service provided in the hotel was excellent. The downside is that the speed for wireless internet connection is a bit slow. It has plenty of space around the hotel. Access to attractions by taxi is convenient and fare is fair.

Good hotel for conference at CNCC

Great location for attending conferences at CNCC as its only a short walk. Rooms are spacious and clean. English fluency functional but not up to international standards with concierge and restaurant staff. Breakfast buffet at hotel somewhat expensive but with decent western/chinese options. There are many better value dining options at the nearby Xin' Ao shopping mall next to the Olympic Green subway station. I had a poor experience with dinner one night at their hotel restaurant . We were served a poor quality dish and the staff did not want to accept return of dish or provide alternative choice..

A good hotel to stay in the Olympic village

The hotel is located in the heart of the olympic village and is connected to the China National Convention Center(CNCC). I would recommend it if your conference happens to be in CNCC. I stayed for a medical conference and went back very satisfied with the hotel staff and the customer service. Check in was quick, the rooms are a bit small but they compensate by the hotel cleanliness and the services.

Nice Hotel poor Internet Connection, No Pool

I enjoyed my stay at CNCC but it was slightly disappointing that their was no pool and the Night Club was closed. They had a package for an extra $25 a night that allowed access to the Executive level, free Breakfast, snacks and free alcohol. Though becasue of that I may have gained 10 pounds over my week at the hotel. It was snowing while I was there, so I pretty much stayed indoors, there is a nice indoor/underground mall two block from the Hotel.

Was attending an exhibition at the China National Convention Center, so it's pretty convenient being only a 10min brisk walk away. I was given a suite upgrade upon check-in so that was appreciated. BUT the room was extremely stuff and I called the front desk and they explained they used natural air to cool the place (????) and suggested that I open the windows to my room to let the cool air in. Outside temperate was about 24 C during the day. It was unbearable in the room during daytime, thank goodness I was out at the exhibition most of the day. The Olympic Park where the Birds Nest and Water Cube is located is about 15-20mins walk away. Not a place I would recommend if you were on holiday in Beijing for the first time as location is not very central.

很棒。到国家会议中心有室内通道和室外连廊，很方便。不过房间的隔音稍微差一些。
Great experience. Easy access to the convention centre, either by the indoor channel or by outdoor pathway. But the soundproof of the room is not perfect.

It's near the Bird's Nest and the Beijing Olympic Park in a few minutes walk. It is quite quiet but there is a instruction site nearby which sometime was kept on working at night.

会議場に用事があるのであればここが最適

会議場直結で、冬場寒いときには助かりました（といっても、かなり歩き、経路が複雑なので注意です）。部屋は広くてきれいで申し分なし。毎日「ルームメイクに問題なかったか？」と聞きにくるのはお国柄なのでしょうか？また、部屋はすごく素敵なのにロビーの椅子の座り心地が個人的には残念な感じでした。B1に無人コンビニがあって便利そうでした（利用はしていません）。

Hôtel sans charme mais idéalement placé à côté du centre des congrès. Chambre très confortable. Le quartier n'est pas très touristique, exception faite du parc olympique, mais le centre-ville est aisément accessible via la station de métro à 200m de l'hôtel.

Atendeu todas as boas expectativas

Ótimo hotel com boa localização, próximo ao metrô e shopping. Os quartos são bem espaçosos e limpos. A academia e a piscina tbm são ótimas. A equipe do hotel é bem atenciosa, mas a comunicação é um pouco difícil!! O café da manhã é bom, mas um pouco caro pra quem não tem o costume de comer tanta comida logo cedo.
