A very friendly hotel. Food was great and not expensive. Room was big for two and had a fridge, sink etc. Shower was small but adequate. Hotel is positioned about 4km’s from Chania. We walked it twice on a dry sunny day and bused in, in the evenings. Lovely pool but very cold in October. The little shop sold all essentials. We would stay here again.

Be warned that rooms by the road are terribly loud. Cars operate all night. Sofa beds are uncomfortable and for those under 5’ 10”. I moved to another hotel after a sleepless night. Owner would not refund future nights. Would not recommend.

The hotel had a band playing insanely loud music until 10:30pm.
On top of that, we had to do our bed (they just leave the bedsheets in the room).
We also paid extra to have an ocean view, but they didn't mention that ocean facing rooms are meters away from a busy avenue.

The staff were lovely and the room was very clean. However, the wifi didn’t work well at all, we couldn’t stream any videos and also the AC unit leaked water all night, the bed was broken, the bathroom shelf broke during our stay and the toilet had water keep running after flushing. The room was very old, I would recommend the hotel if the room was fixed, renovated and the wifi was as better, but because it was so old and run down, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Very Poor wi fi , 2 star hotel but all ok

Ok hotel and friendly hotel staff . Pity the restaurant is separate so you have to pay separately each time you have anything . Internet worse than poor so as long as you don’t need wi fi it’s ok . Small Pool ok especially for young kids .
Nice beaches 5 mins drive . Bus to Chania is 20 mins and regular . Personally I’d stay somewhere closer to town . And with good internet .

We found the staff very friendly and the apartments very comfortable and excellent value. The position of the hotel by a small harbour was very pretty and it was very easy to go either into the town or explore the countryside. Our favourite part of the hotel was the pool which was very attractive indeed and easy to access from the apartments. There were shady and sunny areas by the pool.

A day after making a reservation for 2 nights, I asked the hotel reception to extend my stay 1 night more.
They say OK.
After checking in the told me that i have to move from the first room i got to another one.
This was not mentioned when they confirmed the extension.

Kan stærkt anbefale dette hyggelige hotel. Vi havde den smukkeste udsigt over havet og havnen. 100 meter til det dejligste morgenbad i smukke omgivelser. Havde en superior lejlighed, som fremstår næsten bedre end billederne, behagelige farver og gode senge samt puder.
Deres service er i top, smilende, imødekommende og meget servicemindet personale. Dejlig mad og hyggelig stemning i både poolbar og restaurant.
De er meget obs. på oprydning, således området fremstår pænt og indbydende.
Området virker ikke helt så fyldt med turister, hvilket vi nød.
Alt i alt rigtig god atmosfære - vi kommer bestemt igen 👍

Great Accommodation, but Sickening Food

For the price, this hotel was fantastic! It was clean and cozy.

However CAUTION: I got violently ill eating at the restaurant onsite, eat there at your own risk! I ordered \"salmon\" I got some white fish they called white salmon (the menu should have said white salmon if it wasn't the traditional salmon that EVERYONE eats). It was absolutely disgusting! I ate about 3 bites of the fish, ate the salad and the potatoes. I was up all night in the bathroom times 2. Then I had to drive 2 hours back to the airport the next day while trying to keep my stomach under control. It was a rough! Don't eat the food.

Amazing hotel,

Lovely atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us a studio with pool view.
If you like to do some excursions, you can ask at the reception, they planned for us a trip to Balos.
We had a really good time and we highly recommend it!!!!

We stayed her with our 2 children for a quick April break, all the staff were fantastic, the maids cleaned every day even Sunday, the only down side is if you are a light sleeper you must take earplugs as the property next door has a guard dog that barks ALL NIGHT, this seems to be a thing in Crete.

Pretty good place to crush. Room is very nice, bright and large. Room got huge and very comfortable furnished balcony. Pool is fine. Breakfast is extra a la card. Complex got minimarket with all basic you need. Restaurant is a la card open until 11pm and food can be ordered up to 10pm. You can reach chania with bus 21 stopping outside the complex.

Close to 2 noisy roads, easy access to motorway.

Noisy event nights 3 times a week, pool music went on too loud from 10am to 3pm. Found pool music too annoying as it could be heard in the room and balcony- main reason I would not go back.

Very nice hotel, super close to the beach!

My friend and I stayed here for the night and we had a late check-in, which the staff handled perfectly. It was slightly noisy from the bar area by the pool (it was a Sunday night). The air conditioner comes at an extra charge so we opted to keep the sliding glass door open for cooler air, (which let in the noise as well) but other than that, it was a great experience and the staff is amazing! I'd stay again! ^^

I stayed at Porto Kalamaki in mid September with my boyfriend and sister. The room had one double bed and a sofa bed in the lounge area. We were very lucky to be put in one of their newly renovated rooms which is beautifully furnished and modern - only slight niggle is that the room is not closed off from the living room, so there is no complete privacy. But even if we hadn't been in one of the newer rooms I would still highly recommend Porto Kalamaki - firstly, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, secondly the location is great - about a 10min walk to the closest beaches and restaurants, about 15min bus ride to Old Town. The entire property was very clean and well maintained, good sized pool, always plenty of sunbeds available.

Our only regret is that we did not stay for longer!

Thanks Porto Kalamaki, we hope to see you again soon!

Great!

Crete is a place you must have a car, which you can find easily in the local area for good prices! Kalamaki Hotel is in a great location with great and helpful staff!
There's the swimming pool bar, open until late and the local supermarket where you can find everything you need! The rooms has a kitchenette, perfect for the lazy evenings after a day on the beach, when you want stay in your room (all rooms with balcony) and eat/drink something by your own.

Great hotel amazing stay

Had an amazing time here. when we first arrived I was a little disappointed since you don't walk out of your room on to the beach, but the closest beach was super close and very nice. The hotel offered a show on one of the nights, which was super fun, my 2 year old had a blast! Everyone that works there is super nice, helpful and friendly. Good food, rooms are clean, I don't know if it was because I went in June, but my room got cleaned every day. The location was good, but we did have a car which made everything easier because we get to drive into town. The price was great. The pool was very nice too. Overall we loved it but the beach across the street (very busy street ) is very dirty so that was my only complaint.

Transportation to Chania city center easily available by bus which stops nearby. About a 20 minute ride. Beds were a bit hard, but enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again. Great place to unwind and very convenient having restaurant and mini market on site.

Overall, loved the hotel - had such an amazing stay for the short time we were there.

Room was very clean, daily cleaning and towel changes. Hotel service there was spectacular - all the receptionists are incredibly helpful. We needed to find out how to get from Chania to Heraklion to take the ferry to Santorini - they called to find out available ferry times and prices, called to find out bus times and prices, and reserved us a cab to the bus station for the morning we were leaving. Also easily arranged for us to have a late check-in, easily helped with every arrangement we needed.
There's also lot's of things around to do, without it being TOO touristy, which is nice. Tons of car rental places, trip bookings, bakeries, markets, restaurants, etc. all along the strip in the direction towards the city centre. Small, more secluded beach right along the strip as well which is great for lounging or swimming, plus beachside restaurant service.
Only thing to know is that the beds are a LITTLE uncomfortable, but nothing really to complain about. Hopefully you'll be so tired by the end of the day that you won't even care or notice (which was definitely the case with us). Overall, fantastic stay in a simple yet perfect room, and will definitely return next time we're in Crete!

This place was a huge surprise. The Price seemed too good to be true and wasnt expecting much, but wow. The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel is definitely being well maintained and very clean and neet. Great Big pool area with a cool bar. Great sea views and tons of close by beaches. A perfect gem

We found this a lovely gem of a hotel and its location was perfect for us (a couple, early 50s), as we liked to explore this side of the island by car and go sightseeing and swimming during the day. There was some lovely entertainment on site every other night. We don't normally go in for this sort of thing, but the Cretan dancers and the musicians were good fun, and things tended to quieten down around the pool bar around midnight, so it would also be a great place for families. We had nights out in Chania, with a bus stop nearby. service. The staff, without exception, were always welcoming and friendly, whether at midnight or first thing in the morning. Our room was very clean and spacious, and well equipped. We had a washing stand on the balcony for our wet beach towels and clean sheets every day. Overall, a positive experience and we would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good reliable service. The photos provided reflect what we found, so we didn't take any others of the hotel.

Hôtel un peu excentré de La Canée qui évite le tumulte de la ville, il est face à la mer et offre un accès rapide aux plages. Belle piscine.
Les appartements sont très bien équipés. La literie est très confortable et offre un couchage King size. L'accueil est parfait, l'équipe est au petit soin pour vous et rend le séjour très agréable.
Ne cherchez pas où aller dîner, le restaurant est au Top. Plats excellents et très bon marché, les dakos et le stifado sont parfaits.

Underbart hotell! Fina och rena rum, trevlig personal, härligt läge och roliga evenemang på kvällarna. Dessutom väldigt god mat, passat med andra ord barnfamiljer men också par. Resan till Chania stad är smidig med buss, men går också bra att ta en långpromenad till staden. Otroligt fräscht, rekommenderar starkt!

Wir hatten einen unglaublich tollen Aufenthalt dort. Ein ganz großes Lob an das gesamt Team dort! Sehr freundliches und zuvorkomendes Personal. Das Essen, die Sauberkeit, die Abendevents und der Service haben uns sehr positiv überrascht.
Auch die Lage war für uns optimal. Es empfiehlt sich ein Mietwagen mit dem man dann auch das wunderschöne Umland erkunden kann. Wenn wir wieder in die gleiche Region fahren sollten, würden wir uns wieder für das Hotel entscheiden!

Siamo stati molto bene in questa struttura, abbiamo cenato quasi sempre nella terrazza del loro ristorante con cibo ed atmosfera sembre al top! Comodo per spostarsi in auto ma credo che vada benissimo anche se si usano i mezzi pubblici....

Rummet var en aning slitet och köksutrustningen var under all kritik. Det gick inte ens att steka ett ägg i stekpannan. Personalen var däremot toppen - vänlig och tjänstvilliga. Poolen ren och fin, baren och restaurangen toppen. Butiken hade det nödvändigaste.

Di speciale è l’atmosfera del hotel, personale gentile, musica.
Mi è piaciuto che è vicino a la spiaggia,ben servito dai mezzi,la posizione de la camera con vista, piscina.possiede un kiosco sotto del hotel.
Non mi è piaciuto per niente che non specifica nella prenotazione si lo breakfast è a buffet o continentale.
Io avrei voluto a buffet.
Quando ho reclamato mi hanno detto che è expedía che fa così la prenotazione senza specificare.
Non mi è piaciuto che la doccia è molto piccola , va bene per una persona magra è piccola, una persona robusta è alta non si gira più e allaga dappertutto, si deve fare attenzione quando si fa la doccia.
L’aria condizionata la devi pagare a parte, secondo me non è giusto, si dovrebbe pagare di più al momento della prenotazione ma non a parte.
Questo hotel con colazione a buffet, aria condizionata inclusa, doccia un po’ più grande è comoda sarebbe il top del top.
È un bellissimo hotel appartamento , io mi sono trovata bene apparte la colazione, aria condizionata, doccia.

Hyggelig og næsten familiær stemning omkring pool og restaurant. Meget søde tjenere og personale. Meget søde til at hjælpe i receptionen, hvis man vil med på guidede ture.
Ikke alt for stort hotel, og beliggende lidt udenfor alt for turistet område.
Let at tage bus ind til Chania på ca 15 min
Gåtur på ca 10 min til nærmeste strand 8-900 m væk. Gåtur på ca 25 min til stort supermarked ca 2 km væk. Muligt at tage bussen begge steder her.

Bellissimo hotel a 10 minuti da Chania e il mare di fronte. Le camere sono spaziose e pulite e ci sono diversi servizi disponibili (piscina, cocktail bar, ristorante, supermercato interno, serate a tema..). È stata una piacevole permanenza!

Σε σχέση με προηγούμενες διαμονές μου στο ξενοδοχείο, αυτή τη φορά η καθαριότητα στο δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ φτωχική. Δυο από τις7 μέρες, δεν καθαρίστηκε καθόλου το δωμάτιο. Σε μια περίπτωση που ζήτησα πετσέτα μπάνιου επειδή αυτή που είχα ήταν λερώμενη, δεν μου δόθηκε γιατί οι καθαρίστριες είχαν σχολάσει...

Πολύ καλο ξενοδοχείο.

Ίσως το πιο βολικό κρεβάτι που έχω κοιμηθεί σε ξενοδοχείο.
Φιλικό προσωπικό πολύ καθαρό δωμάτιο και πολύ ευρύχωρο.

Dejlig udsigt og tæt på vand. Hyggeligt hotel.

Hotellet og beliggenhed var god og personalet var også imødekommende. Havde en god uge og det er ikke utænkeligt, at vi vil komme igen. Især den græske aften var en god oplevelse med god musik, dans og mad. Restauranten var også hyggelig og der var stille og roligt på hotellet. Alt i alt levede hotellet op til vores forventninger.

Mye hotell for pengene

Enkelt, men hyggelig hotell med basseng, restaurant med god mat og liten butikk tilknyttet. Utrolig vennlige og hjelpsomme ansatte! Kort gåtur til herlig sandstrand med gratis solstoler. Kort taxitur til Chania.

Otrolig valuta för pengarna.

Fräscht och välstädat hotell med fantastisk personal. Sängarna var mjuka och sköna, har varit i Grekland ett antal ggr förut och de brukar alltid vara stenhårda. Liten mysig restaurang med bra mat och uppträdande vissa kvällar. Kanske störande om man ville sova tidigt eftersom \" jippona\" höll på till 23 el 24.

If I ever return to Chania... I WILL book here again
Great value for money, clean and proper hotel and good service and friedly staff.
A 'smaller' hotel close to Chania while a bit outside of central Chania.
Some minutes walk to closest beach or catch the bus just outside to reach some larger beaches within 15 minutes. Time to central Chania per bus is aprox 30 Minutes.
The shop just outside has the most needed stuff and a larger supermarket is 15 min away with bus (or faster with car)
Food serverd in resturant is good and several other super resturants close by

Nice hotel/appartments at central spot

Nice stay at Porto Kalamaki, good room, nice balcony, but a very small shower when you're 1.95 m tall. Some furniture around the swimming pool needs an update ( broken parasols and there were to less of them)
Very nice and friendly people of the staff.
We enjoyed our stay there.

Splendida vacanza .hotel porto kalamaki sopra le aspettative.ottima pulizia,posizione,camera appena ristrutturata,ottimi servizi ,vicino a spiagge attrezzate, con mare molto bello(ombrellone +2lettini 5€)servizio bus molto comodo x tutta la costa(da porto kalamaki ad Hania 1.70€ )escursioni organizzate direttamente dall'hotel,consiglio Elafonnisi..molto bella e Balos...fantastica.un grazie al personale della reception,tutti molto disponibili e cordiali,in particolare Angelica,molto professionale sempre pronta a consigliarci ed aiutarci x tutto,anche senza dover chiedere ....ci siamo sentite coccolate ,grazie ancora x tutto .

Cichy i czysty hotel.

Cichy, czysty, zadbany hotel z przemiłą obsługą. Pokój ładny ze wspaniałym tarasem, gdzie można było rankiem wypić pierwszą kawę i zjeść śniadanie. Dobry dojazd do centrum miasta. W niewielkiej odległości piaskowe plaże z leżakami i parasolami. Trafiony wybór.

Godt mellem klasse hotel

Vi havde en dejlig ferie det er et Fint hotel gode værelser /lejligheder,et minus sengene er meget hårde, god pool, poolbar, supermarked og Restaurant, der ligger en lille havn og strand overfor hotellet hvor man kan tage en dukkert, vi du ligge på liggestol el sand skal du gå 5 min så er der en god strand. Der er ikke butikker og restauranter ved hotellet så skal du til Chania el andre byer langs kysten. Hotellet ligger ud til trafikeret vej med en del støj.

Dejligt hotel

Fantastisk venligt personale. Rengøring var helt i top. Eksempel på serviceniveauet: Hårtørreren på værelset virkede ikke. Vi gjorde opmærksom på det, og der gik ikke en time, før der stod en spritny hårtørrer på værelset. Dejlig beliggenhed ved lille havn, godt udgangspunkt for udflugter.
