Holiday Inn Pasteur is a lovely place! Staff were wonderful and the housekeeping was awesome and really takes care of you during your stay.

There are Ole-Ole Bandung shops opposite the hotel if you’re brave to cross the bustling road. Else, there is the Alfamart and Indomaret 50m to the left of the hotel (when you leave) and Kenangan Coffee 100m to the right.

Breakfast: Wide array of choices including sushi, the different types of nasi, man tou, lontong, keropoks, sambal, porridge and on weekends: Indomie station.

7min drive from Paris Van Java (A must go to this HUGE mall)
10min drive to Ciwalk or Cimpeles Walk (another must go- many food and cafe area and souvenir shops along the road)

Great Value, Friendly Staff, Cleanliness Lacking

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a good value for the price. The staff were exceptionally friendly and supportive, always ready to assist.
However, the cleanliness of both the public areas and rooms left something to be desired; I noticed hair and dirt in various spots. While these issues weren’t critical, they were noticeable and detracted from the overall experience.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and very helpful and accommodating. They even came and changed bedding for us in the middle of the night after our son woke up vomiting. Everyone was so smiley and fun to interact with. The hotel is super nice and clean and professional.

The hotel is not really 4 stars . The service is 2 stars service , they have poor communication between their receptionist with house keeping area and buffet area etc .
A simple request to bring 1 towel and 1 cup will take 4 phone calls to receptionist and 45 mins waiting times .
The charge extra 1 head count during breakfast due to poor communication between their department.

Great hotel with great service!

We stayed for 2 weeks, at the beginning we had some problems with our room, the bed was very old and not comfortable at all (mattress was yellow and nasty from the old hotel) this hotel used to be Aston Hotel but they change it to Holiday Inn 2 yrs ago, they said. But the mgr.ms.Chitra was very nice and helpful also her staff ms.Marwah moved us to better room. They did such a great job to make sure that our stays comfortable.The breakfast was good and the restaurant mgr Mr. Cepi was very nice and pleased also his staff Mr. Yana always nice to us. Overall we have a great time stay in this hotel and we’ll definitely go back someday

Highly recommended hotel

A lovely, clean and comfortable hotel which is not far from the airport. The hotel even provides a steam iron and an ironing board. The slippers made of thin synthetic material were great -- being water-resistant, they could be used in the bathroom as well. It is thoughtful of the hotel to provide 2 bottles of Nestle brand drinking water everyday. On the ground floor, there is a small convenience store. Getting a taxi is easy because the helpful hotel staff will call one for you. Wi-fi signal in the room is strong but the internet speed is average.

The hotel was OK but certainly not 4 star. Limited toiletries, unable to contact hotel before arrival and then they allow smoking in common area such as the café. Also the sound proofing is very poor as you can hear doors closing from early morning and people taking in the surrounding rooms

Food with MSG - why?

It is difficult to understand why a hotel in this category offers food with MSG for breakfast buffet (taste enhancer Glutamat). It is well known to cause different health problems and it is not shown anywhere to be contained so have to ask about it to get aware.

Extremely disappointing as well when ordering a la carte in the restaurant it is the same problem, artificial taste enhancers in all the food though honestly not required at all. As such the price for the food nok.

Other than that the staff was very much helpful to get over this problem and even offered to order MSG free food for the breakfast. My big thanks to that.

Finally however my recommendation is to get rid of MSG from any food to avoid any complications with future guests.

Modern hotel with a fantastic gym

First time staying at Holiday Inn Pasteur and was pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was fairly large and comfortable. Breakfast, though not extensive in spread, was just right with a nice balance of local and western servings. When staying in this hotel it is recommended that you also include breakfast in your booking as there are no cafes nearby that you can walk to for your breakfast.

The gym is very well-equipped with modern exercise machines. On the occasions we were there it was not crowded.

While the hotel is about 20 minutes by car from the airport (barring serious traffic jams which Bandung is famous for) it is not ideally located for guests who crave for entertainment or shopping at their doorstep.

One thing I like about the hotel is the security arrangements: cars entering the hotel grounds are checked by a guard and all guests have to pass through a metal detector.

All in all a good hotel.

We enjoyed our 5nites stay here. Breakfast is good but could be better if there are changes on the menu every other day. We got bored after 3rd consecutive day having same dishes served at breakfast. Pillow soft and
comfort, great for my 7mth old baby. The pool both indoor and outdoor are great for chilling. A small mart available in the hotel for yr daily necessities. Very convenient indeed. Quite close to Paris Van Java mall and
Rumah Mode. But you still need a car to move around the area. Overall nice and comfort hotel. We will definitely consider Holiday Inn again next time.

Good Hotel and really care about their reputation

My booking was not capture in the hotel system even though I've booked 3 months earlier and been confirmed. Lucky enough I printed the confirmation slip and the Holiday Inn hotel manager gave us the rooms infact upgraded us to a Govenor Suite. Bravo to Holiday Inn . This is my first experience using Expedia.com. in future I might using another site . Amazed with the hospitality of people in Bandung. Nice food n experienced.

this is my first Time in Bandung and first day when i Landed in Bandung, i call the concierge for help on the pick up from airport to hotel, they arrange it in 10 mins i have my transport arrived.
during my Leisure to shopping mall they arrange for UBER and i don have to pay any money...thanks to the concierge, for being kind and helpful to my family,
they also give good advise for me on how to have safe travel and dont get fraud by local people
my wife and i have a good shopping and safe journey in Bandung Holiday Inn hotel, specially thank you to the concierge for being helpful to us.

We did have a room on the 8th floor, but it was too noisy from the outside traffic. some food wasn’t warm but cold during breakfast.
The fridge did make too much noise, we have to put out the power otherwise we can not sleep. The shower was leaking hard from above the sprouting. In the early morning ad 05:30 hours there was very much noise also just like during a renovation above our room, so we cannot sleep anymore. We are planning not to go anymore to this hotel. We pay al lot for the room, but we did not expect that a 5 star hotel do have such many problems. This hotel is good for 2 stars. The employees in the restaurant are all very good people and want to do the best for us
