This is a perfectly adequate location from which to explore Mitzpe Ramon. It is not particularly fancy (as others have said, there are no elevators and all rooms require you to carry luggage up the stairs), the rooms are old, and the walls are thin. With that said, it is clean and the staff are kind, the breakfast had many options, and the location is fantastic. We really just used the room to sleep, and what they offered was more than enough.

The staff was very nice, the location is great, the rooms are very big and can host 6 people (up to 4 adults and 2or 3 kids), there is a small kitchenette and a large fridge, breakfast was nice, but not more than that, they have great products but lack of creativity as for the chef...

No Elevators But Convenient Location

When we saw it was entitled Suites, we presumed that there would be an elevator. To get to our room, we had to go down one flight of stairs and up two flights of stairs. A maintenance man helped us with our first small pieces of luggage. We at 70+ years of age pulled our larger bags. This hotel is NOT recommended for seniors. Parking is also only free if you can find a street spot. The more convenient pay spots requires an app which only works on Israeli phones. Our room was nice but be careful in the bathtub which has no mat and is slippery. The breakfast was good and the hotel is convenient.

The hotel is old, it’s small rooms have not been modernized. At check-in, they lost the reservation of the people in front of us. But, the pool was useable and the breakfast was fantastic. One of the clerks was great. You had to take all your needs to her only.

Location is great, the Crater is one block away, and at night you can easily see the Milky Way there. The surrounding area is interesting and there is a shopping center and visitor center within 20 minute walk or 2 minute drive.
The staff is mostly nice and helpful, though the person who checked us out cracked a joke about us owing 5500 euros, which wasn't funny at all.
The room was a bit smaller than we expected, but well suited for our needs. The pool isn't big enough for all the guests too.
The breakfast was excellent with rich selection.
The biggest problem is that the hotel doesn't have free parking, even though it's promised in the listing. Granted, there is a public parking across the street and the front desk sells parking vouchers for a very reasonable price. Still, it's not okay to promise free parking, if it's not really free.
The check-in took about half an hour standing in line to the front desk. They said it wasn't typical, but who knows. The listing also promised full kitchenette in the room with all the utensils, but there were only cups there. In fairness, we asked for more at the front desk and within an hour they brought us a full set of utensils and plates too. We also were one towel short.
The hotel seems nice and renovated, though its planning is awkward, and finding the room can be a challenge.
The room was mostly clean except for the drawers - there was a lot of dust inside and we had to clean it in order to put our things inside the cabinet.

This was advertised (and priced) as a mini-suite. Only small microwave and mini frig.
Ikea-like furniture was falling apart, cabinet doors off tracks. Surface paint and inside drawers peeling. Window shade didn't open. Sofa bed surface dirty. No hot plate. Kitchen had 3 mugs-- that's it. Took several requests to get basic plates and silverware. LR so small couldn't get to the window when sofabed open.

Good place to stay when visiting Makhtesh Ramon

Very comfortable place. Walking distance to the Makhtesh Ramon. Staff was very polite and helpful. Buffet breakfast was generous and tasty.

Name of hotel in hotels.con and actual hotel name on site is a bit misleading. But it's a small issue. Just follow the address and the hotel isn't hard to find.

For a price of $380 you get a renovated \"projects\" apartment, 2 floor high without an elevator, hair on the towels and crumbling wall paint.
Asked to replace the light bulb in the hallway so the kids could safely go down the stairs and they said \"yes\" but it wasn't done.
Didn't have much expectation but was disappointed as well.

Staff was excellent. Room was spacious and good for family stay.
Shabbat dinner was at 7pm when Shabbat came in at 4:25. This is too late for children and adults and too long to wait. The food overall was standard.
The pool was fun tho for some reason the door to pool area was open at all times. Since it was very cold, i didnt understand why the pool door was locked in the open position. This produced a draft throught the stairwell. There was a leak in the bathroom.
Its hard to say negatives when staff was so attentive and accomdating. Try it if you dont have expectstions. Great location, adequate food and wonderful scenery.

wonderful location and very comfortable room

this hotel is located right by the ramon crater. walk down the block and you are there. beautiful sunrises and sunsets. the rooms are well planned. we had a mini apt with a livingroom and a bedroom. theere was a kitchenette, as well with a mini fridge and cups and a kettle. if you are particular about your hot drinks - bring your own instant coffee and teas. bed - super comfy. there is a pool and there is also shade to be had.

Stayed in third floor suite. The suite, with separate bedroom, was modern and attractive. Fully appointed kitchen with family-sized kitchen table, two large screen TV's, comfortable seating area, and my favorite--an electric massage chair! Between the massage chair and the Jacuzzi, it was a very relaxing stay. As a frequent guest at the Ramon Suites, I was, as usual, greeted warmly by the staff. Everyone speaks English and they are the nicest, most helpful hotel staff you could imagine.

I would call this a hostel with nice common areas. The price is not in sync with the condition of the rooms. The walls are so thin that I could hear my neighbor moving hangers in the closet....now add voices, bathrooms and doors. There was a kitchenette that looked as if someone had been living in the room: dirty sponge and towels. I do recommend exploring Mitzpe Ramon for the natural beauty, just don't stay at this hotel unless they adjust the price. I paid $150, about $75 too much.

Nice room, but horrible wifi!

Wifi was horrible!!! Even in the lobby it was not good. Sometimes the password would not work and the signal everywhere was so weak, even when connected it would drop frequently. They might as well say they dont have wifi it was soooo bad. They need to put more routers in the hotel and boast the strength.

Nice Desert Hotel

This hotel is very nice; it is centrally located, clean, and serves a very decent Israeli breakfast. The rooms are not fancy and the furniture a little worn, but again very clean with fine mattresses. Overall the staff is very helpful and pleasant. It has an unexpectedly fabulous swimming pool (better than Beresheet in my opinion), which made the property special. We will return next time we visit Mitzpe Ramon.

The place itself is average. Breakfast was included and wasn't bad. No elevator if you have heavy luggage. Pool is indoors and is not bad. The rooms are pretty old. I had the ceiling sheetrock falling on top of me during my sleep in small pieces. Not good. But for 2 nights, it was ok to stay there.

When we arrived, it was a Jewish holiday and the hotel was full of religious families with hordes of children. Their behavior was unbearable, banging bedroom doors, screaming, shouting and running all over the place. 3 times we were disturbed in our room by people knocking on our door. Once the masses left at 9.30pm, the hotel was peaceful and quiet.
My only recommendation would be- don't come to this hotel on a Shabbat or Chag if you want to relax.
The rooms are spacious but old. Rooms need updating.
Plenty of parking and well situated.

Nice room, clean and warm (very cold that night!). Nice pool. Quiet. Different configuration for getting to your room. Go out the back door and find your door then go through a couple of doors and flights of stairs to get to it. No elevators. Breakfast, many choices. Front desk lady very helpful.

very convenient for tour of Ramon Crater. Jeep picked us up at the hotel. Breakfast was good with a made to order omelette! Room was big but the bathroom was narrow woth a tub/shower combo.

We would stay here again bt would request a ground level room as there is no elevator.

Fit our needs, but overpriced during holiday week.

The price we paid was way too high for the property. There are not a lot of accommodations in the area and it was a holiday week, so that is why they were able to inflate the price of the room. The proximity to the machtesh was great (1 block away) and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Recommend exploring the nearby art galleries and dining at Hadassar.

Nice clean room with kitchenette at very reasonable rate. More sensible alternative to the high-priced facility (Beresheet). Breakfast was tasty and varied, even if not luxurious. Unfortunately, swimming pool was not operative. Reception desk personnel were very helpful.

Good stopover hotel for a night

I was upgraded so of course was very happy about the room. Very friendly staff as well. Breakfast is quite basic. But for just a night on your way to Eilat and to visit Mitzpe Ramon, this is just fine. The neighborhood is a bit drab.

A great place to stay!

The staff were so welcoming. Changed my bedroom from two singles to a double immediately on asking. Explained the surroundings, and that the crater was literally two minutes' walk up the road. All the staff were great, and did everything with professionalism and a big smile and couldn't have been any more helpful. More than happy to recommend!

The hotel is perfectly located, a short walk from the crater.
The staff are very friendly and helpful; both at the reception and at breakfast,
Breakfast was delivered to my table by the chef each morning; the omelettes were excellent, but, there wasn't a great choice otherwise, for breakfast.
The room was very good, a nice sitting area; a kitchen and a large, comfortable bed.
The hotel was both close to the crater and to local buses, if you want to travel anywhere locally.
Overall, a very good stay.

We were impressed by the fact that our room was really a suite with a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bath. The breakfast was amazing, with hot casseroles and cold salads. The crater was only one block away so we could walk to the Visitor Center.

A good deal

We arranged for a Studio room, but were upgraded to an executive room upon arrival.
The room was amazing with a huge lounge area & a lovely big bedroom & bathroom. In the lounge was a massage chair, which I made very good use of!
The room was on the 3rd floor & there were no lifts, but this didn’t bother us, although it might be an issue to some.
The staff were very accommodating & friendly.
