We had nice stay, I would just mention that the shower holder was loose therefore it was working properly. Pillows were very not supportive very soft not good for your neck. Apart from this it was great.

Please...Take the plastic from the windows that prevents any view to the outside!! It is very depressing. We will definitely choose another hotel that does not have such a restrictive and claustrophobic covering!

A pleasant stay while in Liberec.

A grand old style hotel with high ceilings and a certain charm. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is very central with some parking outside (extra charge). We decided to use the restaurant for dinner during our stay and it was reasonably priced and most enjoyable. Good staff too! Would stay there again.

I love the old world charm of this historic hotel. It's also close to the great Nordic skiing in Bedrichov- but by staying at the Clarion in Liberec, we can ski in the daytime and enjoy the excellent restaurants in downtown Liberec.

Spacious rooms, fixtures were solid. Breakfast included, was continental with a few hot options, good overall. Room wifi was a bit spotty but then improved.
Very close to the town hall and about 200m from the main bus stop.

Very nice Hotel that can be great

Hotel plant a bit dated but clean beautiful room, signs of construction in progress. Staff exceptionally nice and helpful. Air conditioning an issue need to work out kinks and should be controlled by guests not rationed by hotel. Also need to fine tune hallway light sensors for proper on/off activation. WiFi connection fair. TV should be larger or closer because of distance from bed. The refrigerator needs to do better job of cooling rather then just barely cold. The spa and it staff were exceptional as well. Hope to be back and find that it was brought up to true standard one expects from a Clarion property.

I'd go back for the breakfast .

Fine for a short stay. Must say the breakfast was excellent and served in a really nice dining room. Location is good, check in / out was easy. Only issue was no AC in my room on the ground floor, I think it was an older part of the hotel. I would stay again, in a different room.

Having booked a room for bed and breakfast we were advised at reception that breakfast was not include with bookings from Hotel.com and we would have to pay additionally for breakfast and sort this with Hotel.com. After much discussion they eventually agreed that breakfast would be included. We were also advised that they had had this problem with several other guests who had booked through Hotel.com

Nice hotel in Liberec. Short tram ride from main railway station to the tram stop Saldovo Namesti. The hotel is visible from the tram stop, on a side street. Frequent service, 20kc for a single ticket. Good check in, very smart and big room, excellent breakfast with bacon and eggs included.

Old Grand Hotel that has been renovated. Twelve foot ceilings, large bathrooms, very clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast buffet with lots of choices, hot and cold. Unbelievable for the price of this hotel room. Great location, close to the central plaza and city center too.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay

The grandeur of the Clarion Grandhotel Zlaty Lev may be slightly faded, but it's a delightful place to stay. My room (419) was spacious with wonderful views, lots of storage space, and excellent wi-fi. It's conveniently located near the town center and was a pleasant walk from the technical university where I was attending a conference. I didn't visit the spa but a friend raved about it.

Centrally located and just a few metres from tram and bus stops. Enjoyed my short stay. Room was cozy, clean and very quiet. Restaurant on premises has good food and is reasonably priced. Definitely a thumbs up!

I dont normally like old or traditional hotels but this one was a nice surprise. It is having much renovation. My room had already been updated. Only small critisisms like no air con, high sided bath to climb in and out of, 2 singles pushed together instead of a double but these are nothing too important. Not located in the nicest street but 2 minute walk to the centre of town. Good free wifi. Breakfast perfectly good and the staff were all polite. I stayed one night before in Prague then 3 nights here. All 3 nights were cheaper than 1 in Prague. Very good value.

The hotel was central, clean and well-maintained. The staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous. My only \"gripe\" was not having tea and cofee-making facilities in the room.

On my last day I and to leave before the start of breakfast to catch a plane but the hotel provided a \"picnic\" breakfast which was generous by any standard and more than adeqiate to cover lunch as well!

This hotel would be my first choice in Libered

A Grand Lady of a hotel

If you go to Liberec, stay at the Zlaty Lev.

The Zlaty Lev has been around since the early part of the last century. Liberec is only a regional city, but the builders of the Zlaty Lev did not realise that.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay, including meals in the dining room and the livlier bistro underneath.

Our deal was room only, which suited us as we wanted a base and were making a number of early starts. The hotel is very convenient to all facilities, including city transport and shops. Most places of interest in Liberec were either within a few minutes walk, or could be reached on the excellent tram line between Lidovy Sady (Zoo, Botanic Gardens) and Horni Hanychov at the foor of Jested Mountain.
The staff were generally friendly and efficient.
We did have breakfast on a number of mornings and were very satisfied with it, and also used the restaurant twice for excellent evening meals. While the breakfasts were very expensive by local standards the restaurant meals were very reasonably priced considering the surroundings, and the excellent service provided.
We would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Liberec, and it more than met our expectations and our requirements . We did not, however, use the leisure facilities and therefore cannot comment on them.

Best choice of hotel in the area

This was a little hard to find if you are not familiar with the area, but it is centrally located to the old town and right next to the castle!! We were pleased with our room and the beds, as well as the breakfast. The only knock is that the lobby and outside area smelled very strongly of smoke, but our room did not and neither did the hallways.
Overall, we were pleased with the hotel.

A little bit old fashion, but in a good way, had a nice old time glamour. Exellent breakfast. Situation perfect, in the town center, but on a more quiet street, so it was easy to arrive with a motorcycle. Rooms are clean and have cooling system.
Special thanks to the young ladies in the reception for very friendly service, helping us with disabled parking etc.!

Hotel mit ausbaufähigem Potential.
Schön wäre es gewesen, wenn man im Zimmer keine offenen Stromkabel (die selbstverständlich Strom führten!) gehabt hätte, Löcher in der Gardinen, ein verschmutztes Sofa, eine funktionierende Dusche, für alle Kopfkissen auch Bezüge und nicht überall Staub vorgefunden hätte. Schön wäre auch ein Zimmer mit Badewanne gewesen, wenn man Wellness macht.

Schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem Frühstück. Parkplatz haben wir den letzten bekommen, ansonsten ggf. schwierig einen Parkplatz zu finden. (10 € ok) Gerne wieder.
Das Kinderbett war eine unbequeme Ausklappcouch. Besser ein zusätzliches richtiges Bett in die Dreibettzimmer stellen.

Ok hotel. Gammel del uden AC, ny del af hotellet med. God morgenmad og flinkt personale. Vi havde booket connected værelser med det fik vi ikke, de connectede rum havde ikke AC så det var ok. Lidt kedeligt for familie besøg men nok perfekt til forretning. Hotellet er tæt på centrum så det nød vi.
