It was suppose to be a beautiful beach front hotel.IT WAS NOT. You had to take a shuttle only twice a day to a very small, ugly beach. The water in the pool is freezing cold. We asked for a very quiet room., we have to change rooms because when we opened our sliding door, all you could hear was a noisy road pretty place.

The property was well located close to the main street and the local beach. The room we had was a deluxe pool view room which was well appointed with a great view over the pool. The pool and surrounding areas was adequate and the pool was maintained well and very clean.

The property landscaping was beautiful. Hotel needs a lot of renovations and a little more upkeep as there was quite a bit of mold, mildew around the sink area. Bathtub and bedroom was very large. Local beach, not suitable for swimming has runoff from the streets when it rains goes right into the ocean 50 feet in front, which makes the water very dirty. Also too many fishing boats in front of the beach not allow swimming. They do have transportation to a couple of local beaches. Wish I would've gone to.Patong or Kata beach. Absolutely noting to do in Rawai. The Rawai Resort is a destination resort. It's excellent for families and children.

Lovely hotel and resort and the pool is absolutely amazing.

Downsides - Aircon is really weird, seems to work for 30 mins after you change the temp and then just goes back to being a fan leaving rooms really warm.

Warnings everywhere about additional charges, towels, glasses, bottles, drinks, at the restaurant for breakfast \"anybody caught taking food back to room\" etc.

Nothing says relax and enjoy your stay quite like the threat of fines everywhere you turn.

Some staff are lovely, Nadia at the pool bar and a couple of the women in the restaurant for breakfast but the rest looks like they've eaten a sour apple. The kids smile and say \"Sa-wat-dee\" and they just glare back!!

Shame as it could easily be an amazing hotel.

Really good hotel, big thank you to all staff who were very friendly, always smiling and welcoming. Hotels room very specious, clean, comfortable beds, great big swimming pool. Our TV was not working the staff replaced it straight away. Only minus would be no indoor kids area for kids, no slides in swimming pool and room towels were not very fresh even the new ones. We still highly recommend Rawai Palm Beach resort, very affordable and good quality.

Lovely resort. I went with my Russian speaking family and it was a haven for Russian speakers. Everything was close to the hotel and very convenient. We enjoyed the pool right outside and a warm bath tub in the room. Breakfast was lovely. All the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Great stay overall.

This was our first trip to Thailand, Phuket/Rawai especially. The hotel is very nice on the outside. Our room was extremely spacious but kind of dated. The “king” bed was essentially 2 twin mattresses together and I ended up in the middle, which caused me back slight pain.
The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Huge breakfast buffet.
The pool area was smaller than the pictures make it seem, also not a lot of lounge chairs unless you get there super early.
Within walking distance from a town of restaurants and shops, as well as the pier where you can catch long boats and speed boats to some of the islands.

If I could have given this property zero, I would have done. The arrival at 10pm was unbelievably unwelcoming, I had to ask if we could check in which was greeted with a grunt Even though the manager had the Expedia voucher number (from the online payment) our details which were already on her printed form, and copies of our passports, she insisted that I charge my dead phone to prove to her that I had a booking... bizarre and not needed after a long journey, especially since she had it all right in front of her.

Then the journey began...the hotels highlight is definitely it's large pool, however, the corridors to the rooms were like a war scene with doors hanging off, exposed lighting wires hanging everywhere and rubbish littering the floor.

The room smelled of damp, and it was, as the pictures show. The towels and bed linen were grey, although supposed to be white.

There was no 'please clean the room sign' in the room, so after the first few days we had to write 'please clean' on a piece of paper and stick it on our door. At no time during our stay (5 nights) were the towels changed, despite putting them on the floor in a pile in the hope that they would realise that they were well and truly used. The same with the bedding, no changes at all.

Room service was sad, at best. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and couldn't eat it due to a slime all over it.

This hotel could be amazing with a bit of TLC, and staff actually caring or even being welcoming.

After a 3 year break we journeyed back to the Palm Beach international. It was just like we remembered only less busy. Rooms were clean, pool was great, service excellent. The buffet breakfast was as good as you expect and we were totally relaxed after the 10 days. Prices haven’t changed as it is 200B for cocktails.

We will be returning back.

Lovely pool and spacious rooms but that’s where it ends really. Breakfast is woeful with music on a loop that feels like a form of torture, rooms very dated, a bit grubby and windows everywhere are filthy. Felt like buying them some windex. Room towels are so old and used they’re worn and grey.
Staff are extremely friendly as Thai people always are, but not a lot of English spoken at reception. The hotel is in need of an upgrade really. Pool chairs are a bit broken and /or mouldy pads, umbrellas are sticky smelly plastic, pool bar not really often actively staffed. No music or evening activities. This may all be because tourists have only just started coming back so maybe investing in the resort has been on hold during covid. On the upside it was lovely and quiet.

Suggestions: better less lumpy pillows, replace towels, nicer shower gel/hand soap containers and contents, provide milk instead of coffee mate, upgrade the breakfast options (I went and brought my own granola because there wasn’t any, only powdery oats and cardboard cornflakes and cocoa pops), air conditioning in library, if hotel is almost empty upgrade your guests to better rooms to improve experience which will lead to good reviews and word of mouth, fix the butter situation at breakfast.. a huge tub of frozen butter that everyone has to scrape from is pretty awful.
Welcome drink upon arrival would be a nice touch and cheap to provide.
3 star hotel in my opinion.

True to other reviews, check-in was awkward at best. As well, attacked by mosquitoes while waiting due to the welcoming cesspools of stagnant water. Murky pool, some room fixtures not working, pillow stains (not the permanent kind) & breakfasts was truly embarrassing. Waste of money -lovely rooms available elsewhere for a fraction of the price. Sorry hotel. Major fail on many levels. But be well & stay safe .... wish I could get my money back !

Didn’t even know about the booking . Tried to add 1000 baht charge for additional person as. “Joiner” fee . Would only take cash .
Wanted 3000 baht deposit in cash .
I wanted to book a second night , they told its best to use Expedia as it’s cheaper z
Argued constantly about my booking.
Inept check in procedures and manager on duty was rude and had no idea about costumer service ..

Wow!!! Just home from 3 weeks in Thailand and although we only stayed one night in this hotel, it really stood out to us. From the moment we arrived all the staff were so welcoming and went above and beyond to welcome us to the hotel. Although it was not the flashiest or grandest hotel we stayed in on our trip, we received the best service by a long way. It was the little things like offering us a late check out free of charge and offering us clean towels to use by the pool after we had checked out. They even let us just the free shuttle bus to Kata Beach the evening after we checked out (we had our flight home at 3am so we’re ‘hanging around’ all afternoon waiting for our taxi to the airport). All the staff on the reception were so so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much to ask. They kept our luggage for us in a locked room after check out and were more than happy to allow us access to it throughout the day. Would 100% recommend if you are looking for with amazing service. Also the pool area was lovely and spacious and I loved the bathrooms in the rooms. The bath tubs were amazing and rooms a very good size. Breakfast good too with fresh pastries, cereals and someone you cook you freshly made eggs. Great location next to the beach and restaurants too. Although not loads in the immediate area. We found ‘Kamala Beach’ had many more restaurants, bars and shops (and a nicer beach!), but would still strongly recommend.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, there was always someone from housekeeping around or gardeners tending the grounds.
Pool was really big and well set out, the pool bar was also a nice feature.
Only thing missing is an area where you can sit and get a coffee and a cake to have a chat and relax if the weather isn’t favorable.

The staff were amazing and friendly. Everything we asked for was sorted immediately. Very good choice for breakfast. We had lunch a few times and the Thai food was good and the cheeseburger was satisfying. We are at the hotel for dinner a few times too and that was a good experience. We enjoyed lazing by the pool which was cleaned every day. The shuttles to Kata and the beaches were really handy. Would happily go back.

The staff was pleasant and always willing to help in every way. They have a spa and travel planner on site, which made it easy to schedule services. The pool was beautiful, and it was definitely worth it to get the room with pool access as it gives you a more private opportunity to relax outside.
The only negatives I would say are that at check in and check out, the staff were not polite. It was far more transactional and we did not feel valued by the front desk as their guests (although all other staff were very kind). We also did not think the food was very good. Room service and the restaurant on site are not high quality.

We had a great stay at the Rawai. The pool was amazing wrapping around the hotel. The children’s beach was perfect for our little ones. Our room was spacious and clean. We were on the 1st floor but would consider the ground floor next time with their private pools which join up with the main hotel pool. The local area has a lot of restaurants and bars, but choose from them carefully - we liked the fish market, coconut bar, Nikitas, the paradise bar, Rawai view cafe & bar, to name a few. The free transfers to other beaches are worthwhile but need to be booked. If the hotel had its own bar that would have made the stay complete. Would recommend and go again! note on trips - the elephant sanctuary was lovely but 1 day trip around phi phi etc not suitable for young kids especially as most of the day was spent in the boat!

Our arrival did not start well. The free airport transfer which I had selected when booking did not arrive. I called the hotel who advised that the booking agent had not informed them and so it wasn't their problem. We ended up paying for a taxi to the resort. They appeared not to care greatly and would not consider refunding us the taxi fare when we asked. They did arrange for transfers to the airport at the end of our stay.
The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable. The bed was extremely hard and we asked for extra pillows, all of which were very lumpy and old.They were also very limited in toiletries and did not replenish daily- we ended up buying our own.They also inconsistently replaced teabags and coffee sachets.
The pool area was fantastic, with plenty of shade and space to swim and relax.
The buffet breakfast was average. We kept having to ask for more plates/bowls and replenishment of food was very slow.
Staff were polite, but not particularly friendly or warm.

This is a very nice and spacious resort. The staff is quite accommodating and always friendly. The rooms are large and clean. There is a large pool which meanders throughout the complex and beneath the many palm trees. Simply beautiful. The problem is that the pool closes at 7:00 PM. I guess the management does not want you to enjoy the pool in the evening. You’ll just have to sit on your balcony, look down on the wonderful pool, and wonder why you can’t use it. How sad. The included buffet breakfast is outstanding. There are various types of food. The table staff is always attentive. The free WiFi is horrendous. We could not log on at first. Even the bellman could not log on. We complained to the front desk and were finally logged on, but the problem persisted throughout our stay here. Others have complained about this in their reviews. If you need good WiFi, then don’t stay here. When we checked in as three adults, the hotel gave us a free upgraded room, however, there were only two bath towels, two hand towels, two beach towels, and two water bottles. We had to ask for an extra one of each. The next day, the maid only replaced two bath towels and zero water bottles and left an empty tissue box. Back to the front desk again to have that corrected for three adults. On the third day, they finally got it right. Otherwise, this is a wonderful resort with a friendly staff. Just can’t give it five stars.

The front office team were very helpful. All staff were lovely. The large pool is awesome and there is also a shallow, sandy child-friendly pool. The gym is rudimentary but does the job. I enjoyed the breakfast. The TV in the room needed some tuning. The location is a short but sweaty walk to Rawai Beach. Note; Rawai Beach is not a swimming beach, it is where small fishing boats anchor. There is a street along the beach with shops and restaurants on one side and nice views along the other.

Staff finds it hard to understand English. WiFi service was very very poor. It took us 1 1/2 hrs from the airport. Choice of restaurants are poor. Pool is great. Rooms are big not much happens in the hotel. Travel desk is very helpful.

Rawai Palm Beach Resort

The pool is the highlight of this hotel. We stayed in a family room which was comfortable but had no seating area and would have benefited from a small couch. Housekeeping was not generous with supplies and we had to go searching for toilet paper and towels after our room had been made up more than once. Rawai is an location and glad we stayed there for the experience of the fish markets and nearby beaches but had hoped the family rooms would have been a bit nicer

Fabulous hot showers but terrible WiFi & noisy A/C

Well located hotel at a very good price. Very clean rooms and great shower with good water pressure. Huge pool. Good buffet breakfast with reasonable variety. Airconditioning is very noisy, even on the lowest setting. Wifi connection is terrible and have to constantly reconnect.

everything was excellent. we got the room at the wing that we wanted with the help of reception, hotel grounds and room maintained well. breakfast was good. only thing is very bad unstable wifi connection. otherwise it wld hav been perfect.

Very nice hotel, quiet and well positioned

This was our second stay at the hotel and we chose it due to the pool access rooms which offer some privacy from the main pool area. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Overall the hotel is very good and we will consider staying there again.

I had the worst experience with this hotel and ended up checking out and booking last minute accomodation 2 hours prior to check in. The staff were rude and unhelpful and advised that I would be provided with a refund as I waited for 2 hours to speak to a manager who never turned up and now this hotel is refusing to refund the money I paid to stay 5 nights which we didn't even use. Would not recommend! In the middle of nowhere and not close to the beach. Definitely ruined the end to a great holiday by having to try and deal with their staff. Very unhappy!

Mostly there were good reviews with a couple of really awful ones. We booked anyway thinking they were likely disgruntled guests for whatever reason. The pool is great, it has a swim up bar that sells desserts as well, it's big and luxurious. Breakfast has a good selection, lots of choice. The highlight of the rooms is the incredible huge bathtubs. The facilities are all 4 star. The computer room and gym you turn the aircon on when you are there as to not waste power, which I see as a positive. The negative is the wifi. It does exist but it is very slow if it does work at all. At first I though what a great opportunity to put the phone down for a while but by the end we were so frustrated it was unbeliveably inconvenient when we wanted to look at our next hotel or activities online. If wifi is important to you this is not the hotel to stay at. It bugged me how if you say the wifi not working they will give you another login but this is a regular complaint and surely they know it's rubbish. Staff spoke broken English, there were a few standout employees who were so lovely (Annie our maid was so wonderful). On our departure there were about ten people waiting for a taxi with an hour wait time or more. No way out. The staff said you should book. Well, I thought that would be a great pointer upon check in considering no one else got the memo either. It had its ups (time in the pool and tub) but overall I would not stay again and would not recommend it.

Hotel with fabulous artistic pool

Stayed 29-Nov-2015 for 3-nights in Superior room 2112 on ground floor with breakfast. Reception wanted 3,000Baht refundable deposit. Lovely hotel, but it was the most expensive I've stayed at so far.

Electric key-card to enter room, table & chairs outside our door.

Breakfast was good. There were 2-cooks for making eggs. The buffet, cereals, fruits were average, I would have expected better for the price. Breakfast closes at 10:30am promptly.

Found dirty hand towel on check-in. Towel left on rail wasn't changed 1-day, the next day it was, so not consistent. Lipton tea in room wasn't replenished.

Bathroom, (with shower, separate bathtub and toilet side-by-side) at the back of the bedroom, runs the entire width of the room with a door at each end. Between the 2-doors is the wardrobe with shelves and hangers, the back of the wardrobes are the sliding bathroom doors with the bathroom doors open. With the bathroom doors closed, by opening the wardrobe in the bedroom you can see through the wardrobe into the bathroom.

Large fabulous swimming pool which winds around with bridges, waterfalls, pool-bar.

Its 1Km to the town and the beachfront seafood restaurants.
Laundry 1-min walk away around the corner, warning bells should have sounded when they asked for payment upfront. Unfortunately they had shrunk some clothes. Should have used the one in town.

Local beach is pebbled but the hotel provides a shuttle at fixed times to 3-local beaches and collects you as well for free. We

The hotel is very quiet and tranquil. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We were able to relax and enjoyed our time at the resort. A great place to stay when you do not want the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach.

Okay hotel located at a quiet side of Phuket

The hotel was nice but here're my general comments:-

Pros
1. staff were nice
2. compound was big
3. they had 3 swimming pool areas
4. wifi internet was free
5. they provided free drinking water inside the room
6. the room allows for 3 adults as you have one king bed and one large wooden sofa.

Cons
1. guest parking was not well lit and the steep curve leading towards it was misleading
2. internet was free but limited to 2 guests per room and speed was choppy at best
3. breakfast spread was okay but not creative enough. I may had food poisoning from the breakfast food (it's the only suspect because I had the same type of food every other time shared with my wife except during breakfast).
4. the path from room towards the restaurant was not covered. this is hazardous especially during rainy season
5. stairs / steps have no rails to hold on to - health and safety issue when it's slippery and dangerous for the elderly
6. check-out was a tad slow
7. the room had TV but the channels were mostly in Thai and they were not in HD. this maybe asking too much but most resorts have HD-ready TVs.
8. the bathroom sink looked creative but more towards form over function. There was no depression where water will flow downwards towards the sinkhole.
9. the elevator was creepy. you press down and it will stop at your level and will go up.
10. the large working table in the room was eating up space together with the oversized rattan chair. this should be removed.

Nice place, Worth the money

we had a problem with our check in. Our room somehow was given to someone else. But the issue was resolved in a very quick and professional way. Staff well trained. If we wanted a stay away from everything and just wanted downtime, and sit by the pool or the beach all day, this is the place to go.

Great swimming pool and nice fake beach.

Wifi is terrible, tv doesn't have movies. Housekeeping is totally unreliable.

But it's a great location, nice design and really big, well designed pool.
