Unfortunately minutes after arriving, the bellman that helped us with our luggage was very rude to us because we didn't have cash on us. We would've generously tipped after, once we got cash. His sarcastic and aggressive \"THANK YOU\" upon our arrival set the tone for our stay and our entire experience upon arrival at \"The Plaza\".

Unlike many other Lucy hotels where we've stayed, other than the lady who checked us in, who we never saw again, the staff was not warm. More so, the opposite. We were barely ever greeted or even acknowledged when entering the hotel. It was super awkward, specially given the price we were paying (we were staying in a sub penthouse suite.

It feels like it's a fancy tourist trap, banking on its name, but certainly did not live up to it. We shall not come back.

The reopened Plaza is still luxurious, but lacks some of the features of prior version. Entry is no longer available from Central Park South (59th), the Oak Bar is gone, there is no longer a proper restaurant or proper bar, just two large areas for light meals and drinks, one of which is the old Palm Court. Rooms reflect the age of the property: decent size, plenty of storage, but also a single sink bath and dim lighting.

I originally came to New York for work, but at the last minute decided to extend my stay by two nights to live out my Kevin McCallister-at-The-Plaza dream—and I am so glad I trusted my gut.

From the moment I arrived, the experience was exceptional. I was delightfully upgraded to an incredible room that quite literally took my breath away the second I stepped inside. Every detail was thoughtfully done—the bedding, the décor, the ambiance. It felt effortlessly luxurious: modern yet classic, timeless without feeling stuffy.

The staff were absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. I enjoyed afternoon tea, which was lovely and perfectly done, and then fully leaned into the experience. I spent those two nights truly in the hotel: long baths, lounging in a plush robe, ordering room service, and savoring every minute of it.

It was indulgent in the best way possible and worth every single penny. I’m so grateful I made the spontaneous decision to stay—it turned a work trip into a truly memorable experience. Everything was absolutely perfect.

I will be back 1000000%. This is officially my new go-to every time I’m in town.

Adicional todo viejo y mal mantenido hace unas semanas nos hospedamos en el Waldorf Astoria y este hotel si es de Alta gama. No creo que en esas condiciones sea apto para hospedar un dignatario. Los moteles 6 y 8 están en mejores condiciones.

Room was not ready until 4:00 and after I went back to the front desk and asked for an update. The terrace was full of snow as well. The staff has been great, but we were disappointed with the wait as well as the extra charge for a terrace we could not use.

Great stay, a little bit more could have been made about the fact we were celebrating our 30th wedding anuverary, but the sraff were fantastic.
One down side was having to fight our way through yhe crowds of tourists who were always outside the front door of the hotel, it was anoying, when posdible we used the side door through the shops.
Also i would have preferred an option of an a la carte menu in the palm court restaurant

Location, suite was amazing! Wish they had more restaurants to choose from on the property. We also didn’t get a chance to do the tea spot because it was booked for over a week. I found out later because staff didn’t mention this but our suite had priority and we could have gone in. We also had a butler but we didn’t see him again after checking us into hotel. Overall it was very luxurious and great food for what they had.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Only positive was attitude and friendliness of staff and pre-trip concierge assistance. Location great. Size of room was good for NY faced into another part of the hotel but painted gold bed frame was peeling terribly (gross) and pillows were miserable. Clumpy cotton. No turn down service. So many tourists in the lobby you have to dig out your room key every time you enter the hotel. They also add a charge at check in ABOVE the resort fee. $75 per day but you can use $50 as a credit. Strange.

I've been coming to the Plaza for nearly 30 years. I used to live in NYC. I've been staying at a hotel for many years. The staff is incredible! The rooms are lovely! My only complaint is that each year there are fewer and fewer vegetarian options. They took the Impossible Burger and the Tofu sandwich off the menu. It is nothing to have a few frozen Impossible or Beyond Burgers in the freezer. Outside of breakfast and afternoon tea, there isn't much else. Forget about it if you're dining in the bar area. We travelled with our folks this time, who didn't feel like going out to dinner. We ended up having to order through Uber Eats due to the limited options. I've stayed in luxury hotels all over the world. This hotel has the fewest options of all of them. But I still enjoy staying there. It's a great location.

It’s iconic and deserves all the prestige and acclaim. The lobby and restaurants are stunning and immersed in history and famous movies. The floral arrangements are breathtaking and probably the cost of a small car! The staff is extremely and friendly and very fast to respond to anything. The only challenge are the elevators which get packed quickly and during busy times are full if you are on
a middle floor

June checked us in for The Plaza and was excellent. He was friendly and offered us a room upgrade. We ended up moving to a family suite with 2 queen beds, a sitting area and bar area with a sink and microwave. The room was spectacular. Doormen were also super friendly and bellman was helpful too. The service here is exceptional and the rooms and common areas are beautiful. Highly recommend the hotel for a luxury experience.

The broken glass on the suite floor was unique! As were the $3000 per night suite not being ready until nearly an hour late, the stains on the curtains and chair.. and the dust :-( we also had an unknown visitor on our terrace!!

Not in a good faith with service charges

I had $50 credit for the food and beverages for each day. After I checked out the room I asked the front desk for the credits already taken care on the final bill that I received. A staff mentioned it was automatically deducted so the total amount showed was correct on the bill. I spent extra time on the review the receipt at the coffee shop but it did not applied the credit that I should received for the orders from the beverages. I had to return to the front desk and talked to the hotel manager. She simply mentioned it was mistake and gave the credit amount to the charges made. I spent more than hour to figure the issues. It was very unpleasant experiences with services and not in a good faith business with the promised charges. I highly recommend to review your charges. I am no longer interesting to stay at The Plaza in the future visiting.

The Plaza is beautiful and well located. The detracting fact is that the shower leaks out onto the bathroom floor, there are only two hooks in the bathroom and those were taken up by robes. There are no towel racks. There are few shelves or other places to put toiletries. There are very few drawers for clothes. All there inadequacies make for an awkward stay.

Okay I have pictures to prove. This hotel is literally just a famous name. Went here for our daughter’s graduation present and was treated awful. We don’t look rich, so clearly they prefer when you do. Some ppl just don’t need to look fancy . Rooms are absolutely disgusting. Ted the door man though was the best thing about this place. Take alllll that money and get an actual classy hotel.

Staff, room, service and spa were all top tier. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here. Everyone was so kind and professional. If we had one point of critical feedback, it would be that the Palm Court seems to have downsized their dinner menu since our last visit. We ultimately preferred the Champagne Bar for our special dinner, so if you're deciding between the two, definitely go with the Champagne Bar!! It was gorgeous and food was great.

There were no outlets in the bathroom. The outlets by the desk were not working. There was a drip sound of some sort that started around 1 am and never stopped. I have a 1 syllable 4 letter last night and yet most employees called me by a different name. I have the easiest name, how do you mess that up? Room service forgot to bring up ketchup with our fries and by the time we got it, the fries were cold. Food was not tasty. Overall, what was expected to have been a luxurious stay was nothing but disappointment. Took over 30 minutes to have a bellman come up to our room.
Location was great but would not return as the value just wasn’t there.

Excellent property with the friendliest staff. Very comfortable bed and extremely quiet room! You forget you’re in a big city. You can’t hear anything from your room. Room service was timely and delicious. The prices were very high and you can’t make coffee in your room or store any food. No fridge. Excellent restaurants and quick bites and coffee are close by and much more affordable. Central Park across the street was amazing! The Maybach was available and dropped us off in time square for lunch- total luxury:) Highly recommend The Plaza.

First off, the staff were pretentious and unfriendly (bar the bellman, Paul, who was a delight). A room service tray was left outside our room for more than a day - hygiene practices definitely come into question! The bottle of body wash broke off the wall in the shower and was not repaired during our stay. Very disappointing. Not worth the money spent, that is for sure.
