Great

Hotel in a great part of town, parking right outside if needed.

Very friendly and helpful staff, had the impression it's a family run hotel.

Very quiet neighborhood and within the hotel.

Rooms clean, spacious and for the price offered a lot.

The staff were wonderful. Very responsive. The free breakfast was croissants and excellent coffee. The shower was very small and needed some repair. The bedroom curtains didn't work. But the location was amazing. Very nice.

It was very average. Problem with electric failure though they tried to sort it out. Balcony windows could not be shut properly.
We expect that someone would be helpful at the reception who knows a little bit of english for proper communication.

Trying to be balanced.... On the plus side it was a good location, room was spacious, a/c quiet and bed reasonably comfortable.
Minor query around parking. It stated there was parking on site. To me that means a car park... Not potluck on the streets (although it was relatively easy to find a spot within a 5 min walk).
Big minus was the bathroom... Terribly tired and dated. Yellowing furniture... A shower that was hard to get in and sprayed water everywhere... But worst was the black, dirty, mouldy grout.
Pictures of other bathrooms looked nice. In fact our bedroom was shown in the photos but unsurprisingly they left the bathroom out.

Great value hotel in Agrigento

Centrally located budget hotel in Agrigento. Close to all sites in town and to the municipal buses to the Archeological Museum and the Valle dei Templi. Rooms are basic but comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and clean, and breakfast comes with a variety of continental food choices. Parking can be a bit tricky, given that it's only self-parking on narrow city streets and alleys.

Really helpful and friendly staff, great location within 10 minutes walk near Via Atenea. Only small gripes were room was a bit functional and seemed to have had a smoker there previously...but minor stuff when you’re meant to be out enjoying Agrigento. Would book them again.

Convenient and well managed hotel in Agriigento

This hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was considerate of all our needs. The location was very close to the Valley of the Temples--just ten or fifteen minutes away by car and there are several excellent restaurants nearby. We very much enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and would be very happy to stay here again.

Manager spoke English so when I used the GPS coordinates,which took us down the wrong street, he came out in his car ro find us and lead us to a parking place. If we had used the actual street name and address that would probably not have happened. Lesson learned GPS coordinates are not perfect.

The location is good, as it is close to the center. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom has been upgraded. The light in the hall heading the closet was missing. We told them, they seemed to take note, but it was not repaired.
Beware of the ants!!!. We purchase some pastries, we did not open the package and left them on the chest of drawers. Next morning, there was a mountain of ants all over the place. When we claimed it, instead of recognizing that they did not comply with the pest control, they suggested it was our fault to leave comestibles there

Dated and run down but good location

A very clean but extremely dated hitel. Huge amounts ofrust in the bathroom, no hairdryer in rooms and aircon only stays on for 20 mins. The hallway can get very noisy with other guests. Very good location, less than 5 mins to train station and bus stops. Breakfast is very average, typical white bread and pastries but a good cappuccino!

Modern compact hotel in historic Agrigento.

A 1 night stay on our way to the Ragusa region. This hotel was compact and modern, with excellent customer service when we needed it. A short walk into Agrigento town centre and an ideal stop over if you wish to see the ruins either they day before or after your stay.

Would definitely stay again, especially with the comfort that came with the price.

Retreat in Old Town Agrigento

Loved being behind the main road, so it was quieter. Our room was clean, spacious and separate bathroom with a tub was amazing. Breakfast was typical and nice to start our day with a meal.

GreAt Place to Stay If You Love Evesdropping!

The rooms were small and the showers were extremely small - even for Italian standards. Even worse, we could hear every word the people on both sides of our room were saying clear as day. Awkward! The location, however, was great - right by the center of Agrigento with several good restaurants in the vicinity. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Close to the Greek ruins

We stayed 1 night at Hotel Del Viale and although we personally might not chose it again, we were treated well and we had no problems. It's a decent budget hotel and decent value for a last minute booking. There are a couple of terrific restaurants 2 minutes walk from the hotel. There is a bus a the corner down to the entry point in Valley of Temples. The breakfast was fine and staff was friendly.

Pleasant Hotel, very well located for the centre of the town and handy for the Temples. Hotel is in a back street and parking is on-street and can be challenging. Rooms are OK. Only problem I had was a which was small shower hard to get in and out.Staff are are helpful but no English spoken. Take a phrase book. Breakfast was OK if not bountiful!!

This place is very very basic. Our TV did not work and the WIFI connection kept kicking us out. The bathroom is outdated as well. However, it's 10 minutes from the train station and the downtown area. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Well located but basic

The photos on hotels.com are accurate but make the hotel look much better than it really is. Rooms are an adequate size but very basic and all views are of a building across the lane. The hotel is located very close to the main street. Wifi didn't work very well.

My family and I stayed here for two nights. It was nice and neat. It's in a back alley, but there are plenty of signs that direct you there so that is not a problem. It's near lots of little restaurants and shops which is great. It was comfortable, but nothing to brag about. We got a corner room which was very large--that was great. The best part about the hotel is hands down the staff. They were very nice and went above and beyond to be helpful. We would probably stay here again---the price was great and so was the location.

Ñicely located, clean, great breakfast, housekeeping and coffee! Hot weather and no Air Cond functioning, or not turned on unsure. Was told that hotel was open 24 hrs but got locked out and did not have proper instructions about how to gain access, thus spent one nijt after late dinner in my rear seat of tiny rental car(!) Also, occasionally noticed sewer gas odor in bathroom. Strong.

Good location, with 3 great surrounding little bars, excellent nearby restaurant and a lovely promenade very closeby. Hotel amenities were very basic yet fantastic breakfast spread, great italian coffee. Very friendly staff, yet they didn't speak English.

Situated behind a block of flats the hotel is within walking distance of the train/bus station. It is convenient for the main sites.The first room we were offered had in effect no window and in our view should not have been offered to anyone. We accepted the quite reasonable replacement. The freshly made coffee was a bonus.

Never unpacked our luggage from the car.

We did not stay, as soon as we entered the lobby it was nothing like the pictures on the web site. There was no cafe', no restaurant. The lobby was the size of my smallest bedroom. The elevator was rusty and rickety. The view from our window was a dirty alley with graffeti all over the walls.. Extremely disappointing, to add to it, no one spoke English which was very difficult for us to communicate. Also it was very difficult to find, it was in a back ally.

the hotel is a closed enclave out of town. fits car owners only. close 2 road. small number of rooms. at night it is guarded by 2-4 menacing dogs. b'fest (continental) is searved in another building. no problem with parking but part of it is a wedding hall so trouble may arise

Hotel Del Viale is clean, great location - walking distance from central/old Agrigento, friendly staff, and great complimentary breakfast. Free high speed Wifi actually works!! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Agrigento.

Fotos entsprechen nicht der Realität!
Zimmer alt und abgewohnt, noch schlimmer die Badezimmer.

Ich habe den Hotel-Besitzer darauf angesprochen.
Er hat fürs Foto alles schön gestellt, danach Sessel, Teppiche etc. aus dem Zimmer geräumt.
Fußböden sind kaputt, Fussleisten fehlen. Schränke alt und kaputt. Bäder alt und verschimmelt.
Ich habe von Zimmer 206 in 203 gewechselt, war kaum besser. Extrem abgewohnt.
Bin nach 1Nacht geflüchtet, in dem Zimmer stank es nach Urin.
Schlimmste Unterkunft die ich in 20J Italien gesehen habe. 3Sterne - woher ??? Scam.

Unica pecca della stanza sono le pareti sottili, che unite a viaggiatori maleducati,se ne accusa il disagio.

Appena fuori dal centro storico, a pochi minuti in macchina dall'ingresso alla valle dei templi. Possibilità di trovare parcheggio facilmente in prossimità dell'hotel. Struttura datata, servizi basici, la pulizia della camera lasciava a desiderare.

L'hotel è situato vicinissimo al centro storico di agrigento e questo è un grandissimo vantaggio, le stanze non sono super moderne e andrebbero rinfrescate un po'. Però per il prezzo che ci hanno offerto non potevamo chiedere di meglio, il personale molto gentile e cordiale. Se cercate un posto dove alloggiare come appoggio senza troppe pretese è perfetto. Molto consigliato, qualità prezzo ottima.

Stanza spaziosa ma molto rumorosa, fredda e molto vecchia. Abbiamo acceso il condizionatore per scaldare un pò ma faceva un rumore allucinante. L' hotel manca di manutenzione, peccato perchè situato in zona centrale. Non vi è visuale dalle finestre poiché collocato in un piccolo vicolo. Ci siamo fatti abbagliare dalle foto che sembrava tutto nuovissimo, ma in realtà non è assolutamente così.
