I want to start off by saying that you are definitely getting your money’s worth when you stay here. The whole experience was incredible from the very beginning. When you drive up, it feels like you’re nowhere near anything, and then once you arrive, it feels like paradise.

The staff really takes care of you. If you’re an English speaker, just be patient with them. No one has an attitude, and if you ask for something and they can do it, they definitely will.

The room I got was right in front of the sunset — Room 211. You have your own pool with an amazing view overlooking the ocean and the sunset. The food is exquisite. If you’re just starting off, I definitely recommend the Wagyu burger. The steakhouse is also great — just keep in mind that if you’re from the States, the steak may be prepared a little differently.

The general pool is great, and every time your room gets cleaned, it feels like you just arrived all over again. Overall, if I could live there, I definitely would. If you’re visiting, I recommend staying at least three days so you can truly enjoy everything the resort has to offer.

We recently spent a few unforgettable days at Conrad Koh Samui in a stunning two-bedroom villa, and the experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were absolutely blown away by the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care shown by the staff.

The villa itself was exceptional — spacious, beautifully designed, and with breathtaking views that are simply hard to describe. Waking up each morning overlooking the ocean was something truly special.

The food throughout our stay was incredible, with every meal beautifully presented and consistently delicious. It really added to the luxury experience.

A very special thank you to Bill from the service team, who went above and beyond to help curate and manage our experiences, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. His attention to detail, kindness, and dedication made a huge difference to our stay. Thanks to Bill, we enjoyed unforgettable moments including a fantastic longboat excursion to Pig Island and smooth, stress-free transfers throughout our trip.

Beautiful Villas & Unforgettable Views at Conrad Koh Samui

We had a wonderful stay at the Conrad Koh Samui, and the view was absolutely the highlight of the entire experience. The private villas with their own infinity pools overlook the ocean and offer some of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. Waking up each morning and watching the sunset from the villa was truly unforgettable and definitely worth the price.

The breakfast was incredible—one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. There was an amazing variety, from fresh tropical fruits to local Thai dishes and international options. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.

Overall, the resort is stunning and very peaceful, perfect if you’re looking for privacy and relaxation. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay.

A couple of things to keep in mind: the property is starting to feel a little outdated in some areas and could benefit from a refresh. Also, although the hotel is on the water, there isn’t really a traditional sandy beach—the shoreline is mostly rocky.

Dining at the resort is good but quite expensive. We stayed for five nights and had a car, which made it easy to explore local restaurants where you can find great food for a fraction of the price. The resort is also fairly remote, about 45 minutes to an hour drive from most areas on the island, so having transportation is helpful.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay.

The view and the breakfast service get 5 stars. The view and the setting will take your breath away. The food and service at the breakfast was perfect every time! We also enjoyed the food and the staff at the Azure restaurant. We didn’t try the other restaurants. The hotel management fell short. First, we booked what they call a “1 Bedroom Five Island Villa with private pool”. The villa and the view were beautiful BUT this is NOT a 1 bedroom villa. There are only two rooms— a large bedroom with a small sitting area and tv (the TV doesn’t tilt towards the bed so you can’t watch TV from your bed) and a beautiful and large bathroom/closet. I paid about $125 per day extra for my son to get a rollaway bed and breakfast (which was included for only 2 people). I was surprised when I walked in the room and saw the rollaway placed right next to our bed because despite being advertised as a 1 bedroom villa, there wasn’t a separate living area for the rollaway. Also, at turn down, we only received two cookies or treats despite being 3 people- not a huge deal but a notable shortfall. One day, the hotel closed the pool and one of the 3 restaurants to hotel paying guests for almost all day so they could host a wedding. It seemed unfair to paying guests to be inconvenienced during a high season so the hotel could double dip and host a wedding. We had an exceptional stay at Conrad Koh Samui. From the breathtaking location to the outstanding culinary experiences, everything exceeded our expectations.
One area for improvement would be the communication process with the reception and concierge. Relying on a landline in 2025 felt a bit outdated and resulted in longer wait times for callbacks. Although we attempted to use the WhatsApp link provided, we did not receive a response.
Aside from that, the resort is truly ideal for relaxation, offering beautiful surroundings and world-class facilities. We look forward to returning and highly recommend Conrad Koh Samui to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable holiday experience.

Conrad Koh Samui is an incredibly luxurious resort. Food is wonderful, amenities are great, staff are incredibly helpful, to the point of giving us a WhatsApp number to contact them for any assistance, the view is to die for and the bed is like sleeping in a cloud.

Everything we asked for was granted. The area is in the quiet part of the island too, so you get a much quieter experience than staying at some of the larger resorts in the north east. The pools for the villas rival suburban backyard pools for size. I would have wished for 1 more restaurant with a different cuisine, but it's by no means a deal-breaker and I expect they may add such a thing over time.

If you want a quiet, luxurious getaway, I can't recommend it enough.

Amazing view from the room and great service. BUT overall it’s an overpriced hotel for novorish people. There Is NOTHING around and they don’t really have a beach. We have stayed in these kind of level hotel in Thailand and this one was the less successful from all of them.You can feel that it’s Hilton and not in a good way. There are better options in the Island. It felt for us like a bible that you can put anywhere and not Thai at all.

Great stay overall. It's very picturesque anywhere in the property. Staff was great, the room's view was perfect for sunset watching, and our room was always kept clean (in the morning and they return again in the evening). Impressed with management as well since they were so hands on - you will see them roaming around the property to actually help clean tables and even drive the buggy for the guests. Breakfast buffet as also good with a diverse selection. The spa service was also amazing.

The stay was almost perfect. The only thing we did not like was the in room villa dining. Restaurant food was decent but the villa dining's food quality was terrible! Carbonara we ordered was dry and the fries were stale. You also have to wait for 1 hour for the food to arrive. Time it well as you might miss the sunset like we did. Location is also far from everything so it's inconvenient to go out and eat.

We upgraded to the ocean view for a little more but I think it’s definitely worth it because (from what we can see from our pool) the base rate rooms seem to have many trees/bushes In front of their infinity pool blocking the view. The staff here are fantastic and extremely accommodating - super polite and friendly. The only downfall would probably be that due to the remote location of the resort, if you want to go anywhere outside the resort, I imagine it would be quite difficult and inconvenient (perhaps also expensive) if you did not have a car. We had hired a car from the airport as we knew we could be driving out of the resort every day that we stayed and the car hire for 4 days was about $200 AUD so it was not too much more. Nonetheless, a fantastic resort.. with an amazing view... worth the splurge!

Conrad resorts was the best resorts whr we stayed till date in terms of location and view.. it's just ultimate.. no words to describe the view offered from the villa. Hospitality was also excellent, made our days so pleasing. Only down side was food. We are not fully happy with the bfast spread or the lunch or in-room dining menu. But to be frank the room and the view makes us forget all that.. definitely we will suggest Conrad to others if they are in samui. Thankyou..

So the property is beautiful and rooms are to die for and views are amazing it is beautiful . However if you want to do anything you have a very long taxi ride at min 1500 baht to anything. This included restaurants. There are only two here with ok quality of food and very over priced. Better quality at the markets. Also they have a top 5 rated Thai restaurant that has an extreme dress code therefore even though we paid an enourmous price to stay here we were not allowed to dine there due to flip flops - we had appropriate clothes on ( collar shirt and dress shorts and a dress which was not a sundress) it was not having heels and or dress shoes we were turned away. Entertainment only occurs three days a week other than the fitness classes. The highlight was the complimentary boat tour to snorkel and swim on the near by islands. We were in Thailand for two weeks and wanted to treat ourselves near the end of our stay and were highly dissatisfied and disappointed. Lastly, patience is important with other guests here. How they treated staff and other guests was sad and rude. Kind manners and Common curtesy was lacking from some guests. Save your money it’s seriously and honestly not worth the hype. We are still kicking ourselves in the butt for staying here.

Upon arrival check-in was fuss free and quick. The view from reception is breathtaking. As all the villas are built along a cliff, a buggy is needed to get around. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean with huge bathtub. The cabana at the pools were old and looks dirty. The hotel also offers bus trips to city center and a boat ride for short snorkeling session.

I was choosing between the W hotel and Conrad and ultaimtely decided on the Conrad because of private villa pool. It is a very beautiful hotel. Cute buggies to transport you to pool and to front desk. We booked the suite with a private pool. In the pictures, the view is an unobstructed view of the ocean. However the room we got, had the ocean view blocked by multiple trees. We complained about the pool as we had booked the "ocean view" room on expedia and the pictures clearly show the room with ocean view. The staff advised that the room without the view of the trees was at an additional cost. I felt misled by the pictures and I spoke to the manager. They changed our room the next day to the ocean view one so I was happy the manager corrected that; I am sure they have received numerous complaints this already.

The hotel is very nice however it is VERY secluded- to drive to the city was a 40 minute drive and some cab drivers wouldn't even drive us back to the hotel stating it was too far. It costs us $50 US per way everyday. It is also up a winding road so we couldn't rent scooters. Stay here if you do not want to leave the hotel at all. But if you want to explore and go to Chewang Market, it is very far.

My boyfriend and I are a young couple, so we found it too quiet for our liking and too far from literally everything. Would not stay here again due to location. Also be prepared to pay extra for the ocean view you think you are booking.

For a international 5 star standard some things the hotel does not fit into this caregiory for the price charged per night:
The coffee cups and wine glasses not international standard
Hotel a bit run down in some parts, I can see pool edges are rusting and roof awning peeling, poolside chairs are dirty and stained and there is always a unpleasant smell breezing in the resort. The food within the resort is way too pricy and does not taste good comparing to other 5 star resorts I’ve experienced In Thailand.
Resort is also a bit far from everything.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend it, with the same price you can get a much better experience elsewhere.

Excellent resort. Villa is simply awesome and hence when you pay the extra price best to utilise it to the max. What will irritate you is the buggies to transfer across property are hard to find and one has to wait 15-25 min from the time you decide to move. Resort does not have a beach worth talking. The pic in their resort profile is digitally enhanced and not true. Still worth a experience to stay here.

This place is all about the view from your villa, you really don't want to be anywhere but your villa. Service was good, in-room media system was the best I have come across in a while with access to the internet etc via a wireless keyboard and the wifi and internet was pretty good. It is a little bit of a pain to get out of the resort if you want to go out for dinner etc. but it was the end of our trip and we were probably being lazy. Just note, that it is a trek/more effort to get transport to Chaweng and other main areas in Koh Samui compared to other hotels on the island, but you just couldn't have the fabulous views without the hotel being in the location it is in.

The property is breathtaking and the villas truly gorgeous. We were only disappointed with the service, which hugely impacted our view of this resort. A few examples include forgetting to deliver our food orders (a few times), room getting cleaned late everyday(and only after we called at 3pm!) and many other incidences. If it was a 3 star resort
, then fine....but a five star resort should train its staff better. We had dinner at the six senses and could see the contrast of what a real five star should be like.

Admittedly, our stay at the Conrad was preceded by one of the best experiences we've ever had at a hotel or resort. We had just come from Point Yamu by Como in Phuket which was flawless and otherworldly. I think this really influenced our view of the Conrad. Having said that, there were still many things that contributed to our lack of enthusiasm for our villa and more so the resort as a whole. As many have said you go here for the villa which we agree does have breathtaking views and a gorgeous private pool. Other than that though everything else left something to be desired. The property feels MUCH older than its four years of operation. I won't list all of the things that made it feel this way, because i don't want to sound obnoxious. The thing is, when you are paying that much for a room and you've just experienced something far better for the same price, it feels more justified to point those things out. Overall, we felt the property lacked any character or heart and is operating with an attitude that as long as they do the bare minimum, the views/location will do the rest. Our opinion was, that when you've been entrusted with a location that stunning, that management should honor that gift with a superior level of pride and service. Unfortunately, what we experienced felt like the bare minimum.

Amazing two days in Paradise

We stayed here for my wifes 25th Bday in April 2015. We loved every minute of our stay here. We stayed in Villa 305 and the view was amazing. We paid for a waterfront villa however after reading some of the reviews about the view from the 3rd level asked for a room on the 3rd row which was fulfilled. The private pool in the room was a very good size. Everything was provided in the room including an Ipad, Movies on demand, board games if you get bored etc. which was a nice touch. The staff at the hotel are amazing and will do anything to fulfil all the guests requests. The staff also organized a cake for my wifes bday and the band sang for her after we had dinner. The breakfast was also very diverse with a lot of international meals on the menu which we liked. We did the Koh Madsum boat trip which the hotel offers for free. It included about 30min snorkelling and about 1 hour on the island. We enjoyed the snorkelling but thought that the island trip was a waste of time as there wasn't much to do there and we should have rather been at our own pool at our hotel room. We will definitely be returning to this hotel and will recommend it to everyone.

I love this place a lot, the sunset view from the villa was awesome. we had breakfast n lunch at Zest which was good, and we also love Azure by the pool for pizza and drinks. but the in-villa seafood bbq was quite disappointing, lack of seafood variety (only half pc of lobster, size was very small and not fresh; 2 pcs of scallop and 2 pcs of fish steaks per head) for THB10k per couple. so we do not suggest trying this. the tasting menu at Jahn was ok given it's reasonably priced.

Best hotel in the world?

Since the last time we stayed the service has improved, the Conrad has the potential to be the best hotel in the world in my opinion. Thanks for the memories, we will be back again :)

Exceptional surprise!

I had originally wanted to book a different hotel in Koh Samui at a lower price, but due to an online error I couldn't make reservations.

Since I planned my trip last minute and had very few alternatives for hotels with Children's clubs, I decided to pay up and book the Conrad. At first I was upset since it cost more than I had originally planned to spend. But by the end of my holidays, I felt it was worth every penny and the entire experience exceeded my expectations.

The overall look and feel of Conrad is like any other 5 star resort you would find in south east Asia. However, what sets it apart was the service of the staff. All our requests were promptly fulfilled with enthusiasm and efficiency. The staff also went out of their way sometimes to go the extra mile and provide additional services I'm sure was not within the usual requirement.

The hotel also has great proximity to many fun activities in the surrounding area which is very convenient.

Would definitely go back again.

Amazing honeymoon

The property is very far away from the rest of the Ko Samui. This is both a good and bad thing. You should be aware that it doesn't make sense to leave to property to go out for lunch or dinner as the property is very far from the popular spots. If you're on your honeymoon like we were, this wasn't a major issue. We thought the food was very good, although we never tried Jahn, which everyone seemed to be talking about. The service was very good... there are a few small things that could be improved to make it perfect, but it was good enough for us.

room swimming pools are very confortable.

every detail is thinked and used for your confort,only as we used to read price list including VAT in our country and which is not surprising u at the end. this was rediculus for me if they will collect VAT and other charges why they don't add and just give inclusive price.. So the guests knows at the begining what will be paying...

So my recomendation to hotel admin. to write all prices list included every thing (vat,service,etc.)

Very comfort hotel

I am satisfied for every service and facilities of this hotel. Nice view in the room is quite impressive. Only shortcomming is the entrance road. The road to the resort is very narrow and steep which made me feel dangerous for driving into.

Great Hotel nothing to fault on staff and room, though food is an area of concern, the breakfast is ok, but could be a bit more varied, for other meals its too expensive. For dinner you are better off getting a taxi into town nearby and paying a quarter of the price for much nicer food

Stayed 7 nights around new year's eve 2012. Pluses:
1. superb new villa rooms with plunge pool and smart TV
2. breathtaking sunsets from all points of resort
3. jahn fine diner - michelin quality food and wine
4. quality spa and gym
Minuses:
1. immature service levels
2. poor quality in-villa dining (returned 2 meals)
3. lack of dining options
4. mediocre breakfast buffet
5. lack of water sports equipment
6. daily power blackouts
7. uninviting beach

Overall has the infrastructure and potential to impress but lacking so far 2-3 months since opening.

Our stay at Conrad Koh Samui was truly magical. The villas are a dream – the private infinity pools and the 180-degree view of the 'Five Islands' are breathtaking. The level of privacy is unmatched.
We were especially impressed by their sustainability: 70% of the food is grown in their own garden, and you can taste the quality. The Farm Tour with Daniele was a highlight; his passion for the project is inspiring. He also brightened our mornings at breakfast with his kind soul. A huge thank you to our Concierge Nan, who coordinated our stay perfectly behind the scenes.
The entire staff is 'mega friendly' and Room Service was always on point – fast and precise.
For constructive feedback on a very high level: Breakfast could be a bit better organized. Empty dishes sometimes stayed on the table too long, and our espresso was forgotten a few times, requiring 2-3 reminders. Also, pricing for extras is quite steep (300 THB for extra salami on a pizza is a lot, even for a luxury resort).
However, these are minor details compared to the overall experience. The positives far outweigh the negatives. We would check back in tomorrow if we could! Highly recommended.

Zimmer sind alt, haben nichts mit 5 Sternen zutun.
Schmutzig und runtergekommen.
Der Ausblick ist fantastisch aber das Hotel braucht sehr viel Arbeit und Renovierungen, Essen würde ich nicht für die Qualität.
Aber sehr nettes Personal.

レストランだけが残念

ホテルの周りに食事するところがなく、ホテルのレストランに行かざるを得ないが、選択肢が少なく、連泊すると飽きる。ZESTでの夕食はカレー、肉料理、サイドメニューを選択するタイプなのだが、結構なボリュームにもかかわらず一度に提供されるため、食べているうちに冷めてしまう。
それ以外は、部屋、スタッフとも申し分なく快適でした。
