Ok hotel

Only stayed one night but not a good night's sleep. Two individually made single beds pushed together when i booked a queen bed. Thin pillows. Bright flashing lights on the ceiling and a bright green luminous exit light on the wall. Like sleeping in a disco.

This is a small hotel and the two staff members were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very dated and our mattress needed to be retired. The three toppers they added didn't help and the middle layer made it worse. The stuffing in each quilt had balled up from washing and drying so that it felt like sleeping on a bed covered in soft golf balls. Also the breakfast was mediocre at best. I recommend grabbing a pita and coffee in any of the nearby coffee shops.

Although the hotel is excellent from an aesthetic point of view, it lacks excellence. The reception communication was disproportionate to what the hotel stands for. For example, on the last day in the morning the room did not have hot water. We had to ask for a second pair of shower gel and shampoo when they knew we were two people. Overall I wouldn't recommend it.

Beautiful and Relaxing

Beautiful boutique hotel that is walking distance to the Port, Shopping and restaurants.

Staff were EXCELLENT and very helpful.

We were there for a short stay in early August and driving. As in anywhere in Greece, parking is an issue but the Hotel has dedicated spots. Call ahead to otganise, but we easily found a spots nearby and it wasn't a problem.

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Patras. Easily walkable to many many dining options. Parking is hard but there are reserved spots in front of the hotel. You have to be buzzed in the front door but it adds a level of security that is comforting. The room was very nice. Reminded me of pictures of a French palace. Everything was very nice. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Ekaborate decor adds to the enjoyment.

We were given a lovely warm welcome by Avi. We enjoyed the welcome drink and nibbles. Thank you. I loved the elaborate decor of the room and especially the ceiling. We had a front room, with a balcony, on the second floor. Breakfast offered a good choice. Shops were around the corner and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. We had a fabulous dinner at Tomos. Parking was on the quiet street. A spot was always available.

Avoid!

Terrible service. Probably the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel. I booked a room for two adults and a 4 year old child. After a long Friday evening drive we arrived at the hotel to be told there was a double bed in the room and no provision for the child. Another room was not available, nor was a portable cot or fold-up bed.
The staff made no attempt to find any alternative accommodation or to deal with our needs. “We are busy. Sorry.”

Maison Grecque is great! The rooms are stylish and eclectic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast consisted of a fairly large buffet of hot and cold items in a nice room upstairs. The location is near a number of plazas and pedestrian streets with many restaurants, bars, and shops. The neighborhood is a little loud on a Saturday night, likely because of the large number of college students, but that's pretty typical for being right in the middle of a city.

Matching the older part of down where the hotel is located, this small jewel box of a hotel exuded old world splendor, opulent stylish decor and inviting comfort.The rooms were not only beautiful, high-ceilinged and softly-lit, but also practical as well as well-appointed; they were quiet, safe, clean and comfortable with all the modern amenities and a bathroom that was stocked daily and never run out of hot water. The icing on the cake were the mattresses and pillows, easily the best ones I have tried, cocooning the visitors in comfort and relaxation. In a town where parking is scarce, we found Maison Grecque's location extremely convenient both for walking the town as well as driving.The hotel management team of personable, capable and caring women made every effort to provide excellent hospitality, respond to every request, and even secured parking in front of this old converted townhouse. The breakfast was rich in selection and flavor, made of fresh and of high quality ingredients. Maison Grecque's overall prevailing atmosphere is of one of charm, intimacy, and romance without compromises on comfort or practicality. I highly recommended it.

We checked in with two dogs and they were fantastic with the dogs. They brought a dog bed to the room for us and were so kind. The breakfast was simple but you could order eggs as you liked them. The bed was super comfortable and the shower is larger than most European showers. Overall we will definitely stay again.

Beautiful Hotel and Lovely Staff!

The hotel was very nice and quaint. The bed was incredible after some of the stone tablets we have slept on over the past few weeks! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions and requests we had. I would very much recommend this hotel to anyone going to Patras. It is very close to the train station, port and bus service.

Quirky hotel

We enjoyed our stay. Rooms are unusually decordated which gives character sets it a part from other hotels in the area. Beds were very comfortable. Location is good; about a 5 min walk to the city centre.

Amazing!

Everything about this hotel was exceptional! The moment we walked through the door we were pampered; the young staff were incredibly competent. They led us to our lovely room, came back a little later with refreshments and offered excellant dinner and sight seeing advice. Our stay with them was wonderful but actually it was after we left that they was most amazing. We accidently left two jackets in the closet of our hotel room. The staff called us to inform us of the oversight and then offered to send us the jackets. We live in the U.S. and were not returning for another week. They held on to the jackets for another week and then had them mailed to us in Seattle. Incredible service!

The hotel was quaint, small and charming. Easy walking to pedestrian streets. We, 4 women, felt safe there. Our problem was finding the hotel. We needed better directions even with GPS. Parking was on the street.

The room was based in the back of the ground floor without any view and it was small. Probably was the room for the hotel personnel which has been transformed in a guest room. The rate we paid though was the entire one. Not really happy about the room they gave us.

Lovely design and atmosphere

Lovely little hotel in the heart of Patras, within walking disatnce from the most crowded and shopping, clubbing and outing places in Patras.
The rooms are small, but the interior design, wall covers and ceiling paintings create a very unique atmosphere.
Breakfast did not match my expectations though.
Internet speed was acceptable without any isuues.
Overall a very pleasant hotel.

We stayed in Patras on the way from Delphi to Olympia. The city is not really a tourist destination, but it was fun to see a non-tourist area. Maison Grecque is a small boutique hotel that is what you expect. Big bed for a small room, the bed was surprisingly comfortable. We didn't partake in the breakfast, so can't comment on it. The location isn't that great on a side street. Overall, a decent hotel.

Was welcomed by a friendly young lady who showed us to our room..... And left to return a couple of minutes with complimentary drinks and homemade biscuits. What a welcome. The room was amazing. This is truly one of the most outstanding hotels I hav stayed in, in Europe. BUT. The breakfast was awful. A complete let down. A sad excuse for a breakfast. Wasn't worth staying at the hotel for. Better off eating out! The hotel would be better off, offering a a la carta breakfast service instead of the excuse of a buffet with sandwiches? Who eats sandwiches for breakfast? Asked for a boiled egg and told there were only fried eggs. Awful. Has the potential to be truly 5 star... But the breakfast was too poor.

Room with no window! not recommended.

We came a bit late at night. We were put in the attic room. We then discovered the room has no window! In addition, the noise of outside traffic was pretty loud and it feels like you sleep outside on the street sidewalk. In the morning we discovered that there was actually a window, it was in the ceiling! it was covered with black-out material but not entirely, so we were woken up by the \"sky-light\". The comforter was thin blanket, that cannot be defined as a proper comforter (we were cold). Breakfast was also very minimal relative to other places we visited in Greece. Street parking near the hotel was very challenging (but after we parked and got to the hotel we discovered there were 1-2 parking spots in front of the hotel that were reserved for guests). The shower in the room was some kind of plastic contraption that left the bathroom soaked with water. In summary, we survived our quick night stay, but this hotel is clearly not recommended.

Tiny room with style

The room was tiny, the bathroom even smaller, but it was very stylish and the bed was super comfy. Walking distance to everything. Street parking only if you are lucky otherwise there is a parking lot just up the street. A very nice breakfast buffet served in the tiny dining area.

Arrived in car - no parking.
Additional single bed in room making it very cramped. Breakfast very basic. Staff uninterested in providing tourist information and location of restaurants. Internet slow and disconnects. Practically no channels on small television screen. However hotel was clean and well maintained. Nice 3 star hotel.

While Patras has limited tourist venues (good new archeology museum, roman ruins, great roman theatre, great bridge) this little hotel is one of the best deals. Very good service, rooms, staff, in a location near many of the sights and lots of restaurants. Price is also very good for the quality. It is a little hard to find but well worth it.

Maison Grecque is an elegant oasis in the city

Tip: If you look up the address on Google Maps, make sure you hit the Maison Grecque Hotel Extraordinaire or you will be taken about 3 miles away to a Ford dealership!! They are working with Google on this now, but it is still not fixed yet.

So, for the hotel - it is great and reasonable. The staff is wonderful and accommodations are terrific as well. The breakfast isn't the most splendid, but it is definitely adequate. Love the entry and can't say enough good about the staff.

good solid hotel, very peculiar interior design

The hotel is absolutely fine and the staff very courteous. The suite that we used as a family was o.k. in size and the small courtyard garden very pleasent. The only thing is that the interior is very odd, Chinese wallpaper, the receptionist in a Chinese polyesther dress, a very long mirror next to the bed, orange bed cover and black walls - it just is not everyone's taste.

Perfect respite after a long boat ride from Italy

This hotel is great, super comfortable, affordable, with lots of extras. Breakfast was great and they brought us drinks and cookies right after check in. Loved the idea of the pillow menu to help find just the right pillow. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere but here if I found myself in Patras again.

MAISON GREQUE

I had the pleasure of staying at Maison Greque in Patras for 18 days,from the moment I walked in,it felt like home.
The rooms are spotless,breakfast every morning was excellent,free wi fi,and the staff,Kyriaki,Zoe and Mary were a delight,all ways happy to assist with any query.
The hotel is well located,shops and eateries abound,and it is a short stroll to the port.
I have no hesitation in recommending Maison Greque to family,friends or anyone travelling to Patras,worthy of star billing.

Great hotel - bit of an oasis

Great hotel in what is quite a run down/poor port town. The hotel is like a welcome oasis in the middle of the town. Inside, the rooms very well decorated. Only minor irritation was neither a PC or Mac would connect to their internet - wireless or by wire (PC in reception made up for it). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend using carpark €5/night 50 metres away.

In generale camera piccola ma in ordine e ben fornita ( frigobar , accessori bagno ecc,,,) , servizio di reception eccellente e supercordiale.
La struttura mette anche a disposizione uno slot per parcheggiare di fronte, essendo dislocata in una zona dove difficile trovare parcheggio nei pressi.
