We stayed at the Sheraton Mar del Plata, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for a hotel of this category. The rooms are outdated and clearly in need of renovation. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable, and there was no way to make the air conditioning work—only the heating was functioning, which was frustrating given the weather.

The Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow, which made it difficult to stay connected. Additionally, there weren’t enough power outlets in the room, which was very inconvenient for a family traveling with multiple devices.

We sat at the hotel bar for quite some time and were never attended to. On top of that, they attempted to charge us the 21% VAT even though I clearly proved my status as a foreign tourist not residing in Argentina and paid with a credit card issued abroad, which should have exempted us from that charge according to current law. Despite showing the required documentation, no solution was offered.

Overall, a disappointing experience—especially from a hotel that carries the Sheraton name.

Service is good, room is very cozy and comfortable including the bathroom. It's up to standards with what you'd expect from the brand and the category. Location is nice, while not a beachfront hotel, it's located in a great area and not far from the nicest beach in town. My only minor caveat would be that it's a bit too complicated billing wise with multiple card authorizations happening for different things, if you like one clean charge that covers everything you're probably not going to be able to have that.

Sheraton.. mala franquicia... Abusan de la marca, y ubicación frente al golf y el mar. Habitaciones IGUALES QUE HACE 20 AÑOS ... Baños.. SIN RENOVAR ... Cañerias hacen MUCHO ruido (me queje dos veces). Desayuno .. muy básico, no a la altura ni 4 estrellas. Personal se esfuerza, pero tambien a veces muy joven, sin adecuada experiencia. Gimansio buena vista, maquinas 7 puntos (algo han renovado). Pileta externa, antigua , hay pileta nado. Pileta interna, sauna, no me arriesgue para no desilucionarme, pero realmente no fui. Segunda vez que voy en tres meses, pido piso alto cuando reservo .. me dan pisos bajos y me quiern cobrar porque dicen que tome reserva por Expedia o booking. En Rotterdam, Miami u otros Marriot aun yendo por app viajes, buscan y me dan piso alto, en MDQ no.. prefieren especular que acepte pagar un alto sobreprecio (de usd 270 a 340.. solo por subir 5 pisos..). Ya he pedido en mi empresa no me reserven nuevamente, salvo que no haya opción, prefiero Costa Galana sin dudar.

The staff are all beyond wonderful, attentive, helpful and so very friendly. Beautiful modern and very clean hotel, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Delicious breakfast buffet. The only thing I'd critique would be that the rooms be updated with more outlets since we all depend on so much technology these days. Other than that, no complaints and would absolutely stay there again!

The staff was incredible nice and open to help you in whatever you need. The restaurant could have a bit more options but the food was really good. The breakfast was stunning and delicious with tons of options. The facilities are gorgeous, clean and comfortable. We had massages and we couldn’t have been more relaxed, Alejandra I think was they woman’s name, make sure she is the one that makes the massage for you.

Worst hotel ever

If you paying premium $ on Sheraton, one should expect good service and comfortable stay. But this hotel is worst ever, considering that I have lived across the world in 5 star hotels, I have never wrote a review for another hotel, and this is my first bad, really bad experience.

I got a room on 7th floor, called the front desk, my AC is not working, he said, he will send the maintenance. Half hour later, no one arrived and I went down to ask at the front desk, the guy said, “open the windows” because AC is turned OFF, lol. You kidding me?

Then at 2 am, I again went down to tell another front desk manager, come to my room and see how terribly hot it is in there, I better sleep in the lobby, he came inside and agreed that it was really bad. He switched my room to one on 4th floor, well, AC was working fine in this one?

I wont be staying in Sheraton hotels ever, and wont recommend it to anyone, I told them to even donate my SPG points to anyone else, as I wont be using them anymore.

The only people I saw smiling and giving smile were the cleaners in this hotel, other than that, everyone else has a ZOMBIE face, as if they hate their work and dont like customers.

First night good, second night not so good!

The second night of our stay there was a party going on with electronic music that vibrated up through the building to our room on the 3rd floor. Earlier in the day when they were doing a sound check I voiced my concerns and was told the doors downstairs would be closed and it wouldn't be a problem. I asked to be moved to a higher floor and was told it wouldn't be necessary. This went on from around Midnight till around 5:00 AM. When we called down to the desk the volume would be turned down for a short while then raised louder. We are very unlikely to stay in one of their hotels or recommend them to friends and family.

Terrible staff at breakfast buffet (no greeting, no welcoming, no accommodating, no nothing).

Pools: the outdoor pool is only available for use on weekends (great disappointment) and the indoor pool is only for grown ups. I booked because of the pool mainly just to find out what I just mentioned. Temperature was 25 to 30 degrees Celsius and the outside pool looked in perfect condition.

I found the hotel too pricey.

The location was great, sea view amazing specially in the sunrise, the breakfast really nice with variety of fruits and options, everything was great except that at Floor 9 with windows closed the traffic could be heard and was difficult to get to sleep. Good hotel. They ruined the dress shirt that I sent in for laundry, but did their best to make amends on it, so it worked out. The room kind of was missing a few key amenities that I would prefer. For example, no cork screw in the room, no alarm clock. Pool was a bit small & hours were a bit short. Fitness facility was great.

Was in Mar del Plata for business. Hotel is great with outstanding views of the ocean on one side of building. Biggest challenges were that the elevators seemed to have problems reading key cards to access guest floors, and the lobby bar couldn't take MasterCard payment, although the Front Desk could. Would stay here again for business and/or pleasure.

Overall, the staff was friendly and tried hard to help with questions and concerns. The biggest frustration was that only a very few staff members spoke some or any English and they were at the front desk only. Also, it was surprising that there was not a single TV station in the fitness facility or in the guest rooms that was in English. No CNN or BBC or any other option. This is quite unusual for an American chain hotel in a foreign country. Typically a better effort is made to accommodate the guests. Clearly, an American traveling to this city would select an American hotel if a language concern exists.

On the other hand, wi fi was slow and you have to request beverages beforehand for the mini bar! So if you got thirsty in the middle of the nite and wanted a Coke instead of water you had to call downstairs for them to bring it! Not good!

1. The heating in the room was way too hot. You could not control it from the room, the hotel had to do it for you. The way they did it was to tell us to open the window! Then when we opened the window we got to smell rotting fish from the port!

2. They told us to park the car in the garage and did not inform us that we would be charged for daily parking??

3. They charge for their wi-fi. Shouldn't they let paying guests have the opportunity to access the web without a service charge??

La habitación está muy buena, da a la pileta. Tiene dos camas separadas y una más que pusieron para mí hija.
Una contra es que la tecla de la luz del baño está por afuera, y que no tiene extractor. El personal del room service, destaco a Aylen muy cordial y amable.
El servicio del desayuno muy bueno. El trato en general de todos es muy cordial. También destaco el Sheratoons donde estan los juegos para chicos, impecable Marcos con el trato hacia los niños.
Cómo sugerencia estaria bueno que le den más atención al paisajismo.

El hotel es muy bueno, pero para este nivel y precio falla en detalles como por ejemplo no funcionaba el control remoto de la tv, la habitación estaba muy fría al llegar y tuvimos que llamar para que lo solucionaran. Lo mejor, el desayuno. Muy recomendable el restaurant Las Brasas que está en el hotel, excelente atención y comida, y muy razonables precios. La pasamos muy bien, sobretodo por la vista al levantarnos, la cama muy cómoda, pero no estoy seguro si volvería más que nada por la relación precio/calidad.

La pileta interna no estaba muy caliente. El cuarto tenía televisor antiguo ( teniendo en cuenta que es un 5 estrellas ) . El frigobar del cuarto estaba vacío. El agua caliente de la bañadera no andaba ( vinieron los de mantenimiento y lo regalaron rápido )
El hotel lindo, pero si se lo intenta calificar como un Sheraron 5 estrellas, le falta demasiado.
