This was a lovely property. We were visiting a friend at the marina and this location was very close as well as being very near the old town center. Parking was very convenient as the property offers complementary Valet. We even received an upgraded room which was AMAZING! Thank you so much!

Don't know how it's five star.

Hotel was clean and nice enough, but the room was cramped and the supposed 'view' was of a flat roof! The room was too hot and the air conditioning not good enough to cool it down adequately. No drinks menu in the bar which is very strange for a five star hotel. Service was very slow.

The hotel is lovely and walking distance from the main town. The staff are really pleasant, the place is very clean and the breakfast was great. .
The pool and gym area below the hotel is separate, albeit residents have access to it. It's an amazing local facility however it's the only outside space for the hotel and can be very busy which takes from some of the ambiance you might expect.
That said, I'd happily go back there again

Close to old town, great hotel

We were very well received by the reception staff, with welcome drink and fruit, that always matters after a long journey. We went for the suite which was more spacious than expected. Just note, spa facilities are within a gym very close by, so you are not sharing those just with hotel guests. A great stay for us overall.

What started off well, ended poorly

Stayed at this hotel multiple times and I thought the issues with noise were long gone but not so. Booked two junior suites; on arrival one of the rooms was upgraded to a suite. From experience this should have rang an alarm bell as I have had this before, what sounds like good news is a move to a problem room ... but surely not with a suite? It was late, we were tired, we checked in. First night, a Thursday, ok. Friday night got back to the room at around 12.30am; suite on 3rd floor, 2 floors above the restaurant. Come 1.30am party in full swing, boom, boom, music can be heard as plain as day in the room. 2.30am music getting louder, call to reception, \"sorry will ask to turn down the volume\". When asked what time does it finish, \"dont know\". Well the music stopped at 5am. Next day complained to reception. Sorry. Is there a party tonight? Yes but it finishes at 1am. So no music after 1am? Cant guarantee, depends if the Maitre D agrees to extend. Will see if we have other rooms available, check back later. I ask is this really a nightclub with rooms. Get back around 6pm, in the room is a sleep kit with earplugs! Unbelievable! Call down to reception, told if we wish to take other rooms there are standard rooms available, no discount, and we will have to move all our clothes etc. now as they want to sell our rooms!
Wrote to NH on their app, no response.
This hotel positions itself as 5 star. It is not. The \"spa\" is far from it, sauna and jacuzzi not working.
Look elsewhere!

I stayed in one of the suites at NH Collection Finisterre recently and must say that the hotel was better than my expectation, room was nice and tidy, clean and functioned well. The suite though had so many different lighting options that some sort of rationalization would have saved me 5 min every night...

Breakfast was among the best with a large variety of options but notably not bacon and egg that many americans would prefer. The local options though were well represented and tasted very good.

Staff was professional and friendly, only mistake was that on Friday night there was events going at the hotel that shut down the normal dinner restaurant. This is something they really should have notified us about at check in.

When I insure about a taxi for the morning I was living, I assume it would take the typical three hour arrival before flight. The gentleman in the front desk laughed and said that this was a family airport, one hour was enough. Then, he continue to say I had still time to get in trouble that nigh, as “what happened in La Coruna, stays in La Coruna”. That was hilarious to me as I’m from Vegas. Loved it.

The hotel is on the bay in the old part of A Coruña. The area nightlife is great with many small bars and restaurants. Hotel is next to a very lively night scene. Hotel is well maintained. It has a fruendly, competent staff and access to a great health club, gym, and 3 lap pools.

This is a lovely hotel directly located next to the water. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, access to several pools and a large gym, and five minutes walk to the buzzing old town with lots of restaurants and tapas bars.

This property is a joke, this is not even 2 stars, the carpet was nasty, the room was a mess, I can believe that this hotel is 5 stars, someone is buying starts. I asked for a manager and they said that every manager was off today due to the Fiesta, meaning Party’s. Unbelievable

Perfectly positioned and a very nice hotel. Excellent outdoor seawater pool plenty large enough for lane swimming. They will park your car for you at €19 a day. Very nice bar. The only downside was that previous guests had smoked in our room. It would appear they are still allowed to do this.

The hotel is wonderfully located in La Coruna with lovely views of the marina, port and out to see. It's within walking distance of the centre where you have plenty to chose from when it comes to restaurants, bars and sight seeing activities.

On the downside, this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, and unfortunately, the current owners have simply failed to invest in the hotel. It is looking very dated, with damage to room furniture obvious, whilst the carpets in the room are absolutely filthy. This is a real shame as this was for a long long time one of (if not) the best 5 star hotels in La Coruna.

I've researched as a result, and if you can compromise on location, you can get more comfortable, fresh, and true 5 star hotels for the same if not cheaper rates.

The owners should really put money into this place to make it what it was.

PS. Parking at the hotel is extremely expensive.

Very nice high end hotel. Great service from the moment you pull up, they have a valet service which takes care of your car. Rooms a very nice with all the modern amenities. It was april when we stayed and the AC was on, its not very common in this area... Short walk to the main bars and restaurants, they gabe us pointers on where to go in the fromt desk. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit!

It is rated as a 5 star hotel but from my experience of world travel is more like a 4 star hotel. It is located in a lovely place which is close to the marina and about 200metres walk from some shops, cafes and places to eat. Housekeeping was vaery slow as my room did not get cleaned until after 4pm and I had to ask for it to be done in the end.

Generally, the hotel is a bit dated. Staff was nice and helpful. Location is excellent. Hotel is rated 5-stars but is not comparable with other 5-star hotels that I have visited recently. I would give it 4 stars at the most. For example, carpets need replacing, rooms are dark, mattress quality was average, bathroom lacked 5-star details, staff training was not top notch, etc. On the other hand, the price was not 5-star either. In summary, the value to price ratio was very good.

Very nice hotel in a very convenient location. We would return.
However
•When we arrived, I asked for a room not overlooking the adjacent construction. The room we were assigned directly overlooked the construction. When I went back to ask whether they had a room with a nicer view, I was offered the room next door, which did not look out over the construction site.
•We booked way in advance and saw that we had paid approximately twice what a room was going for at the time we arrived. We very politely pointed this out and very politely asked whether breakfast might be included. Answer: no. (Breakfast = €22.50 per person. Needless to say, we found a lovely bakery for excellent, inexpensive breakfast.)
All that said, it’s a nice hotel in a good spot.

When we arrived the suite they put us in smelled very strongly of smoke. The woman at reception explained that although it was a non smoking room that people still smoke in the rooms. But why didn’t they clean it before we arrived? (We got there about 5pm).

Eventually they got us a new room.

On the last night of our stay the water the hotel was shut down for several hours.

Overall, we have very mixed feelings about this hotel. The suite we booked was very spacious with excellent views. Breakfast buffet was wonderful (though on our last morning, at 9am, the egg and omelettte station wasn’t open). But it had an aged and dated feel. The swimming pools felt decades old. It seemed like we were in a movie. The Road to Wellness??

Even though the lobby and elevators are filled with rich looking marble and dark wood the hotel caters to families. When I came down the to the lobby one night at 8pm the floor of the elevator was quite wet. Presumably from kids coming up from the pool in wet swimwear.

Disappointing for a 5*. Room did not have a particularly nice view with a construction site between room view and the sea. Not clear when booking that breakfast was not included and was expensive for what it was. Some of the staff were not particularly welcoming and on the last day we came down to a breakfast with no clean tables. Staff on that occasion rude and unhelpful when asked to clear a table for us. Very disappointing for the money charged so will not return.

I've spent 4 nights on a business trip at the NH Collection Finisterre and it was a delightful stay.
Excellent location, very close to the historic center of the city (5 mins walk), where many restaurants are located.
The views are beautiful, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and last but not least, the personnel were amazing, always making their best to provide a delightful stay.
Highly recommended!!!

We had a great stay for a family of 3. Hotel is at walking distance from the vibrating town center and sea promenade.
The breakfast was excellent.
The swimming pool, with sea salt water is huge and great for chilling after a day in the city. Water could be warmer, though.

We have been at NH collection for about 1 week. We reached the hotel by car from Santiago Airport and we had a spacious room with a sea view where we stayed in 3, me, my wife and my son.
First of all, I want to highlight that at NH they really care about your children. They have a play room inside the restaurant (first time in my life I see something like that) with plenty of toys and a Play Station. Then, they also have a complete menu and breakfast exclusively for kids, which was a real plus for us.
Finally, they have a wonderful nanny, the name is \"Lula\" which was very good with our son and let us enjoy the hotel facilities.

The hotel is nice, very clean and center located. I would say, probably the best location in La Coruna.
The breakfast is AMAZING, so many choices that you really want to enjoy every single morning.

The hotel is also surrounded by a huge sport center with 3 gyms and 4 swimming pools. Jacuzzy, Sauna, SPA and a pool bar which has a very affordable meal menu.

I am not sure if we will visit again la Coruna but if we will I will surely go again to NH, one of the most beautiful hotel.

Special thanks to all the staff, very helpful, kind, polite and always available and able to satisfy any request I had. I am very very happy about my experience with them.

clean and tidy but 5 * rating is not justified

the hotel itself is ok but buy no means a 5 star. The food was overpriced and not that good - to the point that i couldn't even eat my meal. The main issue though is the hotel pool - nowhere does it tell you that this is in fact a public pool. There are four pools at the hotel, all of which are very nice and clean but extremely overcrowed at the weekends due to public use. I would expect a hotel to have its own private pool, especially a 5* hotel - This is not acceptable for the price we paid to stay at the hotel. I wouldn't stay here again
