The hotel location was perfect! Just a few minutes walk from all the events at the center of town. The room was spotless, the bedding very comfortable and great quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful but they were so short staffed they were unable to hold our luggage until the afternoon on our departure day ( because they would need to close the hotel for a few hours). There was no other luggage storage option in town so we had to walk around with our luggage for 3 hours ( until our train departure time). For a 4 star hotel, that was not great…

A very unique hotel and room but I enjoyed it - I was comfortable and the service was friendly. The breakfast was light by big hotel standards but coffee, bread and other fare were good! Like many other hotels the room is for sleeping not for lounging but the common areas are very inviting.

Horrible place, rude staff, small room with no windows, broken a/c. Would not move us to another room. Uncaring staff when notified of the situation. We left early and forfeited our money paid it was so bad. When a/c did get fixed second day, condensation dripped on floor next bed. Horrible place!!!!

Checked in at 2:30, do not disturb sign on door. Staff said they would SMS the dinner menu and to bring the breakfast order down by 9 pm. 3 hours after lying down, they called my do not disturb room and woke me up. I was upset and went to the front desk to complain.

Staff repeatedly claimed I had “numerous” disrespectful communication with staff and guests. I interacted with staff one time and never spoke to guests. Guests were outside my room at 8 am talking loudly, waking me 2 hours after I finally fell asleep.

When I showered, I noticed dirty handprints on the shower tile. I stepped out of the shower onto a towel and used my clean the water off the floor. The towels were filthy after wiping up the water because the floors were not clean. There were dirty fingerprints on the TV, potato chips under the edge of the bed. I contacted management who said I used shoes on the towels. The photos clearly show bare feet, which were my freshly washed feet stepping onto the towel to mop up water.

When the hotel received my complaint, they repeatedly claimed I had “numerous” interactions with staff and guests and accused me of defamation when I said the room was not COVID clean as advertised.

I sent the photographs to Expedia. Expedia sent 3 SMS to the exact same number the hotel claimed was invalid (as their excuse for calling a do not disturb room)

Very nice hotel, modern design. I just don´t understand why in this modern design hotel they design the bathroom with no privacy. They should think about practice first, and nice modern design as a secondary thing. Anyway I was alone in my trip, then it was ok.

Stayed for 6 nights and the hotel was great. No problems encountered. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.
Location is perfect. Right next to the train station. Buses available in front of the train station as well. Not too far walking distance from Place Ducale. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
I'd recommend this hotel.

We had a two night stay at this hotel and quite honestly one would have been more than enough. We were aware that this was not your standard Best Western hotel as we had read the reviews before booking. However, even after 42 years of marriage there are still some things that require a little privacy! The concept of the hotel is good but I feel it lacks any thought on the planning side. On our first night we were given a green room. The shower head would not stay on the wall and when we mentioned this to the pleasant young man at the desk he moved us to a room at the front directly facing the road which was somewhat better (still with the same set up of the toilet being just behind a flimsy sliding screen) . It was a much brighter room with huge glass windows. I am not sure what the point of the \"gadget station over the side of the bed was for and the table was not suitable to stand a glass on so totally pointless. Whilst not being against modern or trendy I feel that this hotel has gone just a little bit too far. Breakfast was not really worth the amount charged. The first morning there were scrambled eggs available but on the second morning nothing hot at all. Again the room was very bright (fuchsia pink) but with no natural light and all rather garish. Not exactly what you want first thing in the morning. As you can tell all in all it was rather disappointing .we would not rush to return.

Hotel is in a very good position and for 69 euros was well worth it. Very odd post modernistic design that is interesting but ultimately a little flimsy. Nice staff and a reasonably good spread for breakfast. Could do with a little more choice in the bar department but would happily go back again.

Looks nice but poorly designed and impractical

The result of form over function. A reasonably pleasant room (though dark) ruined by ridiculous controls for lighting and AC (light switches are placed on the wall for a reason; easy access) on a panel connected to one side of the bed. The AC was pathetic too and the overnight stay (fortunately only one) characterized by stuffiness and sweating. The only natural light was a rather dismal gloom that came from a central atrium - perhaps outer rooms are better served in that regard.
A game of \"hunt the drain plug\" was required when taking a shower (I eventually had to remove a panel in the base of the bath to get it to drain) and the shower system itself required some construction before use.
Locating the bath and the toilet more-or-less in the room may be a comfortable experience for some, but I would suggest that even the closest of companions require privacy at times and that having a poop is one of them.

great service at this modern comfortable hotel

We felt welcome as soon as we entered this hotel, the receptionist is really friendly and helpful, lovely girl! We have a 5 months old baby and asked for a \"secluded\" room away from other guests if possible, and we got what we asked for. The room (middle range room) was really good, a very comfy big bed and a giant bathtub. We ordered some food to be delivered to our room, we weren't expecting much but were really surprised by what arrived, really tasty food and big portion.It turns out the hotel gets food delivered from a restaurant around the corner (great ribs!!). The only little complain is that they are trying to be a little to \"tec\" with the lights control etc...none of our bedside lights were working. But I think it's the only good choice in Charleville-Mezieres and we will be back.

thoroughly enjoyed my visit, albeit for only 1 night. Staff were very helpful, showing how all the very modern amenities work. The hotel is very trendy and modern, the room was well sized and clean, bathroom was really well laid out. I would have preferred a secure car park but we had no problems.

Rigtig godt hotel. Meget moderne og lækkert. Pæne og spændende værelser. Venligt personale. Dog er der ingenting der står på engelsk og er derfor ikke særligt turist venligt. Al information på værelset om hotellet og tidspunkter for fx morgenmad står udelukkende på fransk. Selv menukortet i restauranten er kun på fransk og tjeneren kunne kun begrænset engelsk. Very special hotel dedicated in a steampunkish hommage to Rimbaud, with very original rooms. We werent aware of that when we booked and to us as a family it was a bit of a surprise and we would have appriciated closeable doors to the bathroom for example.
But the rooms are what they are and the staff is very kind.
Breakfast was good.
Had dinner at the restaurant which was super good.

Chambre moderne avec joli design mais mal insonorisée (chambre double avec séparation entre les deux). A regetter: toilettes non isolées de la chambre. Pas d'ascenseur pour monter les valises à l'étage. Parking de la gare à disposition sans limites de hauteur.

Très bel hôtel, récent et très propre. Seul hic dans ma chambre numéro 3.4, une isolation acoustique à revoir.
Le bruit de la porte s entre du bâtiment est trop présent, tout comme le bruit des évacuations d eau des étages supérieurs qui doivent vraisemblablement passer dans la chambre. Dommage, sans ça, C était 5 étoiles sans hésiter

Le titre de mon avis mitigé

Arrivée un peu particulière car en fin de journée au moment de repas, et il n'y avait personne à la réception car la réceptionniste était aussi au service dans le restaurant.
Rien à dire sur la sympathie du personnel en revanche. Le repas était également bon.
J'ai en revanche passé une nuit très moyenne à cause du bruit que faisait la ventilation dans la chambre ainsi que la clim juste au dessus de la porte. J'ai été réveillé plusieurs fois dans la nuit à cause de cela.
Le petit déjeuner était correct.
Encore une fois rien à redire sur le personnel.

MEN... Otroligt lyhört och den hårdaste sängen jag någonsin sovit i. Sådär bra hotell om man vill sova bra. Försökte byta rum till ett mer avsides placerat rum, men de var fullbokade. Fick sova på extrakuddarna med öronproppar.
Men hotellet är jättefint designat och personalen supervänlig.

Un accueil très désagréable avec une personne suffisante et peu motivée puis la chambre ne correspondait pas à l’annonce : aucune fenêtre, aucune aération et pas de climatisation avec une température extérieure de 34 degrés ! Suite à notre demande pour changer de chambre, ce fut un refus catégorique ! Nous sommes très déçus d’un quatre étoiles qui n’en n’est pas du tout un !

Bel Hôtel mais très mal insonorisé entre les chambres. On entend tout ce qu'il se passe ainsi que la TV du voisin. Le fait que le petit déjeuner ne soit pas en libre service n'est pas génial car cela oblige à demander sans cesse à l'hôtelier de nous resservir. Et puis pas de chance quand je suis venu...plus de pain au petit-déjeuner et plus de shampoing dans la douche.

Très bel hôtel style indus situé près de la gare.
Chambre spacieuse et très bonne literie.
Salle de bains avec baignoire, peignoirs, accessoires de toilettes très propre. WC séparés.
Petit déjeuner en chambre selon notre choix de qualité.
L accueil est très agréable et disponible.
Que du positif pour cet hôtel.
Visite de la ville à pieds vers la basilique, la place ducale, les musées. Tout était parfait ! Merci pour l accueil!

Malgré une erreur d'hotels.com qui a demandé à l'hôtel une catégorie inférieure à celle que nous avions demandé.
Notre hôte a su compenser cette erreur par un petit geste commercial. Contrairement à Hotels.com qui n'offre qu'un bon d'achat de 25 euros. Un peu limite comme compensation...
Sinon l'hôtel est original de par sa decoration. A environ 10 minutes à pied du centre.
Bemol sur la qualité de la literie un peu vécue (manque de fermeté ) et une salle de bains peu pratique avec peu de lumière.
En revanche point positif pour la machine à café et le sèche cheveux qui contrairement à ce qu'on trouve dans la majorité des hotels sèche les cheveux.

Deplacement pro. Cadre agréable ,petit dejeuner à la carte ,chambre spacieuse et douche à l'italienne. Seule remarque: on entend le claquement des portes des chambres voisines.

Parking payant contrairement au descriptif. Déco donne sensation de bas de gamme, mauvaise insonorisation, petit déjeuner type avion,... Bref trop d'imperfections pour un 4 étoiles.

HÔTEL A EVITER ABSOLUMENT

Hôtel annoncé 4 étoiles qui n'en mérite même pas 2.
A l'arrivée du train à 13h26 l'accueil est fermé jusqu'à 14h30. Impossible de laisser sa valise !!!
La chambre à 165 € est peu pratique, les fenêtres font 1 mètre à ras du sol, la lumière des toilettes ne s'éteint pas, les portes en bois coulissantes n'isolent pas la chambre de la salle de bain, ni des toilettes. Le petit déjeuner à 13€ est lamentable de pauvreté.
Le lendemain la chambre n'a pas été faite, lit comme nous l'avions laissé, poubelles non vidées, verres sales non changés, dosettes de café non renouvelées, papier toilette non renouvelé. La jeune directrice dit simplement qu'elle est désolée. Aucun geste commercial, au moment du départ et après une note salée de 441.54€, je demande un café, que je paye 2€.
En somme un séjour plus cher et infiniment moins agréable et confortable que ce que je paye par exemple au Best Western Premier \"La Paix\" à Reims avec des prestations et des services parfaits en tous points. Un vrai 4 étoiles !
En conclusion cet hôtel ne mérite absolument pas les 4 étoiles annoncées, ni de figurer dans les recommandations de votre site Hotels.com.

Bon point de départ pour visiter charleville

Hotel assez bon état. Idéalement situé en face de la gare et pas loin du centre ville. Grand parking de la gare à proximité immédiate (payant mais pas très cher)
