On this specific date my family and I encountered what I can only describe as a horrific , unpleasant traumatizing experience , my son had an emergency which led us to have to step out of the hotel room early morning at 10:58 am to buy a change of clothing for my nephew leading us to be late to our check out by an hour and a half , we are fully aware and understand the rules and guidelines and have always been compliant except on today’s occasion. Upon our arrival back into the hotel guest service lobby , my sister went to check out of the room fully understanding there might be some sort of fee for the additional hour and a half. She was greeted by Robyn who explained to me that check out is at 11:am and my sister acknowledged and even asked if there was a fee for staying extra in which she did not respond and instead the house keeping manager Terri along with another house keeper Katryna approached the front desk scolding my sister and yelling and calling her out of her name , also yelling  “did you know check out was at 11:00am” “not allowing me to explain out situation , the yelling proceeded to go on for about 15 minutes , this situation was not only very unpleasant it was very traumatizing , we felt like we were being attacked.this situation took such a toll it also led another guest in the hotel to insert herself in the situation causing even more disturbance and intensifying the argument. In our 3 years of experience staying at this hotel we have never encountered.

The facility itself was amazing. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at any hotel offering this free amenity. Special thanks to Marie in the breakfast room for providing us such a great experience. The room was so satisfying and the valley view was 2nd to none. The only negative thing I could say about the visit was at the check in. The day manager during our stay was extremely rude. I made our reservation thru Expedia. I called the hotel's customer service line to request an early check in on our two rooms as we were in a wedding party and the wedding started an hour after the normal check in time. We were assured it sure it would not be a problem. She was going to contact the hotel and advise them of the situation. Again, we were assured it would not be a problem. We were only looking for an hour or so early check in time. We were told to call the hotel before we arrived just to make sure everything was okay. So...I called before and was greeted by one of the most arrogant hotel managers I ever had the displeasure of speaking with. She told me that first...If I wanted special privileges I should book directly with the property instead of booking thru Expedia. Second...She told me the customer service agent has nothing to do with her hotel and her assurance means nothing to her. Third...She told me we could check in early if I wanted to pay a half days rate before she would be able to allow us an early check in. Then she hung up on me. Wish I had more room to write more

I booked a room with a vies and paid more for it. When I got to my room I had no view. Front desk told me Expedia did not reserve a room with a view. Contacted Expedia who tried to change room, but none was available. NO PRICE ADJUSTMENT! Wont use again!!

Not great for the price

The beds were not comfortable and the towels are not very good quality. The room was $220 per night. I had much better for less. You can tell that the quality is being compromised.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! We felt that desk staff really enjoyed their jobs and told me don’t hesitate to ask for anything needed.
Checkin was very easy and smooth. Our clerk smiled a lot and asked why we were staying? We had moved from the local area in July and was meeting close friends and family over the weekend.

Awesome experience!

Surrounding view was beautiful. Conveniently located where Route 80 and Route 81 intersect and right across from traffic light on exit ramp. Check-in was explained in detail, easy and understandable. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful with anything you wanted or needed. Room was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend to travelers and would stay at the location again!

Conveniently located off of Route 81 and Route 80. Surrounding view was beautiful. Check-in process was explained with detail, easy and understandable. Staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful with anything you requested or needed help with. Rooms were spacious and clean. When I booked our room on Expedia, it was advertised as “valley view”. When I arrived there, I was told that third party bookings do not get the valley view. The view is a BIG reason why we picked this motel. I think it’s unwitting false advertising on Expedia’s part. Just so you know.

We like staying at Hampton Inn. We can always count on clean, comfortable rooms with no surprises! So many hotels are not serving breakfast but Hampton still does and there is always coffee in lobby for your convenience! This Hampton had a beautiful view into an adjoining valley with a deck overlooking the valley.

Nice Mountaintop Hotel.

Hotel sits on top of the mountain, so it has a nice view of the valley below. Pool is outside and there's a patio overlooking the view (convenient for breakfast too). Adjoining restaurant Top of the 80s was convenient and surprisingly good food at reasonable prices. Room was nice and typical layout for Hilton. Bathroom door faced the beds and was a slider, which was adequate but not ideal for privacy. Hotel very convenient to Poconos. Not many people wearing masks indoors at hotel or generally in the area, despite pandemic reaching highest levels of daily covid diagnoses.
