However not recommend this place with a car. Parking is 11 minutes away cost 70. You have to drag your luggage through ragging streets.
There is no egg for breakfast, you have to pay extra to get an egg, also pay extra to get another glass of orange juice

Low level of hospitality including carrying our own suitcases up multiple flights of steps, loud location due to external facing windows, shared spaces were not particularly clean, though the room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast wasn’t adequate for active tourists. We moved to a less expensive hotel nearby for a much more positive experience.

During our 2 weeks traveling through Morocco, we chose a mixture of riads and hotels to stay in.

Riad Amana was on the lower end of the list of stays we enjoyed. We had the Chefchaouen room for the 2 of us, which was spacious and large. Unfortunately the back alley directly below the room had loud yelling/noise until 2AM each night. We got no sleep during our 2 night stay in Essaouira.

The amenities and services are lower quality at this riad as well. Expedia reflects that there’s daily housekeeping - no housekeeping was provided and towels were not changed at all. There was barely any toilet paper and they didn’t provide shampoos/conditioners. Breakfast was basic staples and you have the option to add on eggs at additional cost.

Staff are very friendly. Syed was helpful. The location is phenomenal as it’s a quick walk. Therefore, this is a good option for backpackers, budget travelers, and groups of friends instead of couples or quieter families I’d say.

A very charming well situated riad. We had a lovely room - everything was spotless - and we enjoyed relaxing on the pretty roof terrace. The freshly made pancakes at breakfast were delicious! The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful 🙂.

The riad is beautifully decorated, very quiet but right in the middle of the souk. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and we felt like a part of the family after 2 days. The terrace room was lovely - tasteful and stylish decoration, huge and unusual. We loved it. We had a cookery class at the riad with Fatima. After shopping with her in the market we cooked a chicken tagine with aubergine salad. It was a lot of fun and food always gets to the heart of a culture. Of course the best part was eating it. Thank you to Meryem and all the staff for making our stay so special and memorable.

This is a lovely riad, in the heart of the Medina. Our room overlooked an alley, and was not soundproofed, so we did not sleep well on some nights, but the riad was otherwise delightful. Breakfast was simple and served at a communal table, which did not suit us, but was not the end of the world. Ask for a room away from the alley and you will enjoy a great stay (and a good sleep) in a beautiful establishment.

Myriam, la gérante, a été exceptionnelle et nous a aidées à trouver un guide pour visiter la ville et nous a recommandé un hammam tout près de l’hôtel. Le Riad est mignon, propre et très bien situé, en plein coeur de la Médina. Le personnel a été accueillant et généreux envers nous. La configuration des chambres fait en sorte qu’elles offrent peu d’intimité (pour deux amies).

Right off a main walkway in the middle of the medina (old town). The inside is like a quiet oasis from the bustle outside, each room decorated different. My first stay in a riad. Traditional but modern. Not accessable by car, about a 10 walk from road. If you have luggage, there are porters with wagons that will pull your stuff for you.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riad Amana.

Great location within the medina, and really friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean.

It should be noted, however, that the medina is loud at night. That is not a criticism of Riad Amana, as it probably applies to all hotels and riads within the medina. We didn't mind, but if you're a light sleeper you'd probably prefer staying in a hotel outside of the medina.

Una sistemazione deliziosa nel cuore della Medina. La suite Chefchaouen è arredata deliziosamente, letto enorme e comodissimo. Il bagno è una meraviglia. Unica nota stonata: un po' di odore di fogna dal bagno ma sicuramente episodico. Colazione buona, non particolarmente ricca ma comunque soddisfacente. Ci torneremo sicuramente anche perché abbiamo dormito benissimo, al fresco e nel pieno silenzio!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Riad Amana, un véritable havre de paix idéalement situé au cœur de la médina d’Essaouira. L’accueil de Meryem et Fatima a été exceptionnel : attentionnées, disponibles et toujours prêtes à rendre service, elles nous ont fait sentir comme chez nous.
La décoration du riad est raffinée, le petit déjeuner copieux et savoureux, et les massages proposés sur place m’ont apporté une vraie parenthèse de bien-être.
Seul petit bémol : l’insonorisation des chambres, qui pourrait être améliorée. Mais cela n’a en rien gâché la qualité de notre séjour.
Je recommande vivement !

Leider mussten wir bei Ankunft mehr als in der Buchung angegeben zahlen. Außerdem besteht das eigentlich enthaltene Frühstück nur aus einigen Grundbestandteilen und den Rest muss man kostenpflichtig dazu buchen. Das hatten wir bei unseren bisherigen Aufenthalten in Marokko anders. Somit war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr wirklich gut...

Riad très agréable et bien situé dans la Médina proche des commerces et des restaurants. L'équipe très accueillante et aux petits soins. Petit déjeuner servi avec des crêpes marocaines faites maison. Wonderful stay at Riad Amana. I loved every part of it. The riad is beautiful, clean, warm, with a real human soul and located just in the center of action, 20 steps into the main street and 5 mins walking distance from every part in Essaouira.

The riad is located in the middle of the medina, a few minutes from the historical monuments and different services (the beach, souks, port, banks, post office and bus station). Marrakech-Menara Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 170 km.

With its luminous architecture, the riad is the ideal place for a holiday and relaxation. This guest house is an old riad from the 18th century entirely restored in 2009 in pure traditional architecture typical of Morocco.

It is arranged and decorated with sobriety and elegance for a cordial and family-friendly atmosphere. Comprising a total of 10 guest rooms, the property features a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, currency exchange facilities, a breakfast/dining room, WLAN Internet access and bicycle hire.
