The hotel was situated in a good area in Praiano. Beautiful surroundings and very clean rooms with a great view! The staff namely Marianna & Omar were extremely helpful and aided us in planning our days well including our final transport out of Amalfi since our transport company let us down and cancelled last minute. All in all would thoroughly recommend this hotel

The breakfast included is ok. You have to pay extra if you wants scrambled eggs, the hotel is ok, the air-conditioning didn’t really work. The views are very nice

However there isn’t a lot around the hotel given what I know no I would have paid the extra and stayed somewhere like Positano where there is a lot more to do. I also wouldn’t even consider taking the bus to these places as it’s always full and you have to wait for a long period of time

The views from the room and from the dining area and bar were stunning right over the Mediterranean absolutely breathtaking!
Such care and consideration was given to the amazing full breakfast offered every morning, including cappuccino coffee, tea juice carefully created for your satisfaction. Full choice of a variety of fresh fruit, and pastries.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating and very friendly!
Would highly highly recommend a stay here over Positano Amalfi or Sorrento wonderful restaurants with excellent views without the insane crowds that you would experience in Positano, Sorrento and Amalfi.!

Cleanliness is a five out of five stars. The air conditioning was not in our favor. It was quite warm/hot in our bedroom. When we left for the day, the air conditioning was turned off and balcony doors left open, which made it hot when we went to bed at night. We were able to turn on the air conditioning at night so the air conditioning was working. We did ask for air conditioning to be left on for the next day and they accommodated. We did have to leave our hotel key a couple times because it is a very big key and if you lose it, it is a big fee to replace. The bus meets next to the hotel, but there are two different companies which can be confusing. Our bed was squeaky. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Very helpful staff and good coffee options, good food options. People said Priano is a good location to stay, but we did have to take buses to Positano and Amalfi.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were not only friendly and professional, but also went out of their way to ensure our stay was smooth and comfortable.

Whether it was helping us with directions, giving local recommendations, or assisting with a last-minute request, their attention to detail and willingness to help really stood out. It made a big difference in our overall experience.

My fiancée and I truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Our trip was booked a little last minute, so i was a nervous about accommodations and where exactly to say.

The staff was absolutely amazing. They helped us learn all about the bus transportation for day trips to other parts of the coast. One of the bus stops was even conveniently located right outside the hotel, which was a major plus! For our departure at the end of our trip, the staff helped arrange a private car back to the Naples train station.

They provided us with restaurant recommendations that were all within walking distance. They also kept the hotel so clean! Our room was cleaned almost daily (we decided to opted out of it a couple days, but it was still a great option to have).

The view from our room was an absolute DREAM and the views from their shared terrance where we ate breakfast was to die for. We had a bottle of champagne sent to us from our friends at home and the staff let us drink it out on the terrance and enjoy the views at night too!

I dont normally write reviews, but wanted to share how amazing our experience was!

It was challenge to choose a hotel or town to stay close to Positano where the nightly rates weren't obscene. I had barely heard about the town of Priano but it was the perfect central place for my husband and myself.

Typically I am very skeptical about hotels so I didn't know what to expect to expect when I initially book but within 30 minutes of booking, I received a message from the Lindsey - thanking me for booking. From that point, I felt way more comfortable with my hotel choice. Lindsey also helped with booking a boat tour to Capri and helping me with private transportation from Naples and back.

Upon arriving the friendliness of the staff continued we received a warm welcome from both Omar and Lindsey who again helped with restaurant recommendations and ways to get around. Overall the entire staff was wonderful, the hotel is conveniently located so that there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes to you right to Positano. The view from the lobby is breathtaking and if you choose a sea view room you will not be disappointed.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Priano - I would definitely recommend this hotel

I can’t say enough about this hotel. It’s beautiful. I’m so glad we stayed here. It was perfect for the 3 of us, me, my husband and our 15 yr old.
Our room was spacious, very clean, nice size bathroom. I love the ‘Italy’ feel to it. If you are looking for 5 star US type of hotel, this is not for you but don’t think you will find that in Amalfi Coast area.
But if you are looking for the beautiful ‘Amalfi Coast’ experience with beautiful scenery and true Italy feel, this is great for you. Get a room with a balcony. You will love it.
I’m glad we stayed in Praiano instead of the other touristy areas. It was easy to get to Amalfi or Positano from here. We were in the middle of both.
Love walking this town.
The staff was great! So helpful. So caring! Every single staff member. So friendly!!!
We would definitely stay here again!!!! Definitely 😎!!!

Lovely little family run hotel

Hotel holiday is a great little family run hotel, nothing is too much trouble and they try so hard to please and make sure you have an excellent stay.

Located in a peaceful area with great views from the terraces and balconies. Close by are lovely restaurants with friendly staff. The more touristy areas a short bus ride away.

I normally stay in 5 star hotels but I can highly recommend this great little 3 star and its lovely owners.

Hotel holiday - an absolute dream !

We absolutely loved our time at Hotel Holiday. The breakfast was lovely, the views were stunning but the highlight by far was the service. The warmth, hospitality & help we received from before we arrived, during, & even after we departed, made our stay so perfect. Thank you to Omar, Mariana & the team for everything - we can’t wait to come back. Tip: you can arrange your tours through these guys - the Amalfi Boat cruise was superb & if you book through them they pick you up from the front door rather than navigating transport !! Wish we’d done all our tours via Hotel Holiday.

We had a wonderful stay here! Views were amazing and staff was very accommodating and helpful. Hotel is located 5-15 min walk to the best restaurants Praiano has to offer. They also offer free shuttle service if you do not feel like walking. We decided to stay in Praiano as it’s less busy and more affordable than staying in Positano or Amalfi. Transportation was very easy to Amalfi and Positano from Praiano, about 10-20 min bus ride for 1.8 euros. Would recommend this hotel and thanks again to our hosts!

Great location, quiet, with easy to access all areas of Praiano and the Path of Gods. A couple great restaurants and grocery store nearby which was super for stocking up for our deck snack and wine, as the view was breathtaking. Breakfast was extensive and their choice of fresh warm pastries divine. Rooms very clean, pretty, and well maintained, with all the necessities. Best amenity was sitting in the bar, which had a spectacular view, and sipping a limoncello spritzer, as the sun went down and sparkling lights on the hillside appeared. Helpful, lovely front desk staff. Highly recommend.

The Holiday Hotel is an amazing hotel. It's location is perfect and the view of the Tyrrhenian Sea is nothing short of amazing. The management team conisting of Mariana, Omar and Antonio are top notch, and so are the rest of the staff. We stayed for 5 nights and they met all of your needs. They are wonderful people. I would definately recomend this hotel for a stay on the Amalfi Coast. Praiano is a gem. If you book a stay here, you will not regret it.

We had a great 2 night stay during our honeymoon when visiting Praiano. Such a beautiful location with an unbelievable view. Room was clean. Excellent service from everyone at the front desk. You Won’t Regret Staying Here

This is a family owned hotel that has been in business for 40+ years with beautiful balcony views, great breakfast, and exceptional service. We would go back!

Service

The service we received here was 2nd to none. The check-in process was easy. We were greeted by the family at the check-in desk. They speak English well. Their son gave us a map of the city, showed us the relevant bus stops / how to get around in Praiano. He even marked the map for us so we didn’t forget. He pointed out the bus schedule, and he even helped us book boat tours. The company they work with for the boat tour (Plaghia Charter) has an arrangement with the hotel where they will pick you and drop you off on the day of the tour. This was a lifesaver since I was traveling with my mom and the stairs were a bit too hard for her.

Rooms

The room are spacious, and the beds are comfortable enough. Make sure you get one with a balcony view. The views from the hotel are INSANE. It was nice being able to sit and take it all in. The rooms are cleaned each day. Don’t leave food out. The cleaners turn off the AC if you are not there. The room got hot and the smell of pizza attracted ants to a pizza box we accidentally left out (our fault not theirs).

Breakfast

This was a game changer. It is hard to find breakfast spots in the city. They offered a full spread buffet. Fresh croissants, pastries, waffles, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, cereal, meat, juice, granola, and more. It was delicious.

A wonderful family run hotel Praiano, Amalfi Coast

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the wonderful family owned hotel. Marianna, Karim and Omar welcomed us. They were polite and helpful in every way - suggesting places to explore, making restaurant reservations and treating us as friends. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, salad, cheese and meats, house made pastries and cakes and more. they even supplied a selection of gluten free breads and pastries for me. Renato greeted us happily each morning to make sure our coffee was perfect and the food well presented. The house maids serviced the room each day which we appreciated.

Love This Family Run Hotel

This is a very nice family-run hotel next to the local bus stop. The views from the hotel are amazing and our room was very comfortable with a great sea view. What a breakfast spread and the coffee was fantastic while eating outside overlooking the sea. FYI, our transportation from Sorrento was by Sita bus, get off at stop 7 and then catch the local mobility bus up to the hotel which stops right next to the hotel. You can use the mobility bus to get up and down to the Sita bus or walk the steps and street. Ask the family questions and they can help you. They can set up tours to Capri and other places for you. The family is very, very friend.

The hotel is very very run down and the quality of bedding, towels are so poor. The room had missing tiles all over the floor and everything about it was low quality. Turn off the lights and ceiling was covered with stuck on glow stars. Young man at desk was very nice and man handling breakfast was also. Breakfast buffet was fine. Would have left immediately if i could gave gotten my money back.

Super convenient - there is a bus station located right outside the hotel that takes you to Positano and many other places! Also 4 restaurants located 2 minutes walk away so if you wanted to hang around the hotel as well there are many options to choose from. Staff super friendly and welcoming as well.

My husband and I had the best stay here for our honeymoon. The staff is friendly and very helpful. It was our first time in the Amalfi coast and they helped us navigate, organize transportation and suggested things to do/places to eat. We got to the hotel before check in time, so we left our luggage with them and went to the local beach. The beach is much farther than I had expected and was very crowded. We enjoyed Arienzo beach club much more. When we got back to the hotel to check in, they had already put our luggage in our room for us which was really nice. The room was clean and the terrace had incredible views. The breakfast buffet was huge and had so many delicious options.

The hotel staff are very rude and do not even help with you with your bags. Our room was awful and we paid decent money. The main problems were this ominous smell throughout the hotel, the AC was archaic and didn’t work, and the washrooms don’t have doors! We were mortified as it was our honeymoon and we decided to check out immediately after the first night of a 3 night booking and the owner was insulting us and saying we were lying about these conditions, and then was trying to force us to pay for a taxi that would’ve taken us to the airport 3 DAYS LATER. Awful experience and PLEASE AVOID

Overall, the hotel is a great value. Its in a good location in Praiano and is about a 20 minute walk to the beach. The local bus (which runs in Praiano and Positano) is right outside the hotel and the main bus is just a couple minute walk down the street. There is a not a LOT to do in Praiano so its important to keep in mind that you most likely will have to take a bus to another town for an activity/excursion etc. unless you research in advance to find boats that will pick you up in Praiano (which is possible). The busses can be crowded and do not always stay on schedule. There is a great restaurant (Kasai) right down the street but make sure you make a reservation! The biggest downside of this property is that the beds are very uncomfortable - you can actually feel the springs through the mattress.

The views at this hotel are fabulous and the staff are very friendly. Not to mention, the location is close to everything you need in Praiano.

The rooms are outdated and the bed was the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. It was very hard to sleep with all of the springs poking out.

The hotel is fine if you don’t plan on spending any time there and you don’t mind an uncomfortable bed. Essentially, you’re just paying for the view at this hotel.

Easy access from the road.... no stairs to climb to get to lobby. Hotel also has elevator for those in need. The staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. Hotel Holiday was a home away from home, every staff member took they extra initiative to make us feel welcome and this is what stood out the most. I found Hotel Holiday by chance but my partner Melissa and I we're so pleased that we did. The hotel was better than we hoped. This family run hotel we're so helpful with their thoughts on our on our 2 day stay with their advise on how to get to and from where we wanted to go. Advise on bus and taxi boat times and on the best restaurants to eat in!! We recommend them 100% to anyone and look forward to our next stay with them.

The view is amazing. It was very easy to get there. Parking was easy and comfortable on the hotel premises (which is a bonus in this area!!!). But the hotel is not ready to receive a toddler. There was no baby chair available (they could buy one at Ikea for 14 euros - most of the restaurants from the area were using this chair!!!)

The views... to die for.

Me and my wife came to stay here for four nights from 29th September- 2nd October 18.

We were greeted by lovely staff and welcomed to the hotel. They didn't bombard us with information and gave us the room key and said to pop back down once we were freshened up. We got shown to our room (3) superior room and it was stunning. As soon as you walked in the view just blew us away. The room was large with a queen bed and had everything we needed. There was an ample bathroom and again fully functional. But the view.... it was something else, and this is what we came for. To enjoy the views and this hotel did that and more for us.

Breakfast every morning was excellent with lovely pastries and pancakes and fresh fruit. The main eating area was clean and again the views off the terrace were to die for.

Staff really helpful providing local advice and maps and bus information. (There's a stop right outside).

If I was to be really picky maybe the bed was a little firm and the shower a little weak but nothing at all that would stop me going back or recommending it to others.

The location in praiano was absolutely ideal. Great links for transport. Central to amalfi and positano. Lovely local restaurants within 5/10 minute walking distance and very reasonable prices.

All in all an incredible trip all round.

I booked this hotel as it met all my needs plus since I was staying for 2 weeks, I wanted somewhere that checked all my required boxes. I
did read bad reviews for this hotel. I have come to realize that occasionally bad reviews are not necessarily representative of the hotel but based on something else the reviewer experienced. I had been to the Amalfi Coast before and decided that I had enough knowledge of the place to choose this hotel despite the bad press.
I am happy to report that I don't understand what the bad press is all about to be honest. Remember, I stayed two weeks, most people do not. I saw and experienced nothing of what the bad reviews spoke of. I arrived late at night. I had emailed the hotel to let them know, they responded immediately, to tell me that I was not to worry as someone would be there to check me in regardless of the lateness of my arrival. I was checked in and directed to a restaurant nearby for a lovely meal.
Staff was consistently wonderful, helpful and willing to assist you. All staff, front desk, breakfast room, cleaning staff, everyone. They are engaging and even entertained my limited Italian with a smile.
My room was clean when I got there and stayed clean the entire 2 weeks. Breakfast was convenient and tasty. Love those cappuccinos each morning as well as the espressos.
Glad I overlooked the bad reviews. Will stay here again and will recommend.

The room we booked had a balcony and a sea view. It was the most amazing view waking up to sunrise and the sea in the morning. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has free wifi in the rooms and free parking as well. The bus stop is just right outside the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, especially the pastries. Loved every bit of our stay.

Great price near Positano. if you arrive on bus, make sure to stay on the bus and ask the bus drive to leave you in front of this Hotel. They all know where it is. bus stop 27 I believe. View is unbelievable from the breakfast area or lobby,

This hotel has beautiful views and a nice staff. However, it is not kept in good condition. The elevator and hallways smell like mold and potpourri. The water doesn’t go down the drain in the shower and the tiles are dirty. My husband was so grossed out that he was taking showers in flip flops (not how you want to feel on your vacation). The bed and pillows were super stiff. I ended up with crazy neck pain the whole time. I think they need to update the hotel a little bit.

The main staff member at the front desk was the rudest person we have encountered at a hotel in over 30 years of travel. The hotel and room were as expected with good views and great to have parking. Close to great restaurants and supermarket.

Great location with a fantastic view and this is why you would want to stay here. Take away this view and this is a mediocre hotel at best. Most disappointing are the beds that look and feel like you are sleeping on an old box spring without a mattress, and the sheets are of equivalent quality. The breakfast offered has good variety and is of great quality. A short walk down to the village and you will find a pretty town.

Amazing staff, very friendly tried hard to make stay pleasant. When baby was not eating breakfast made separate special omelet so he can eat. Older hotel but many upgrades. Spa like shower with jets. Charming decor. Similar to many hotels in Europe beds are single and king bed consisted of 2 singles joined together. Views are breathtaking.

Beach is supposedly 10 minutes walk took about 30 minutes to get there with stroller in stairs and grand parents. On the way back they took a cab cost 20 euros for 3 minute ride. I decided to walk back up hill... it was painful but did complete it in about 12 minutes but a massive work out and sweat.

Great place, perfect for young couples. Worth it for view.

View worth the money

What a world class view on the amalfi coast. That's about the only thing thats worth the price paid though. Hotel and rooms could use some updating/upgrading.
Complimentary breakfast was nice too.
Scooter rental across the road is a must and so is Kasai just up the road for some of the best food in town.

Good Hotel in Praiano

We stayed 4 nights at Holiday Hotel in early June.
It was centrally located (walking distance to nice restaurants, supermarket, and the bus) the staff was nice, gave us recommendations and explained how to get around.
The hotel furnishings are a little dated but it is clean, and has killer views of the coastline.
The breakfast was good and nice way to start the day of sightseeing.
I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic location - downer staff

The location of the hotel and the view from the hotel are truly stunning. Praiano is now one of our favorite places on the Amalfi Coast. The hotel would have been great if it was not for the rude comments of the staff - they were quite a downer for our trip and we would not choose to return to this hotel because of that.

A beautiful place!! Very helpful and pleasant staff. Saved us time and money with arrangement for transfer to and from marina to take boat to Capri. Convenient location especially with parking on site. Stunning balcony view of sea with unbeatable price! Breakfast was awesome. Reception staff is very welcoming. The staff was rude and unpleasant I am very sorry to say. When people go on vacation they don’t wish to be met with sour attitudes. The receptionist Mariana was extremely rude and difficult to speak to throughout our stay. Anything we ask was responded to without patience and willingness to help. The bed sheets at this hotel were very old and so was the furniture. The best thing by far and probably what we paid for was the view. We had a “superior” bedroom with a view. In my opinion this hotel is not the three stars it claims to be and I hope others look into other alternatives before booking here for the price we paid which was $150 a night. On our first night we woke up to two wasps in our room and we did not sleep with the doors to the balcony open. Under the bed there was a dead roach. Horrible experience.

Excellent location - great views.

This hotel has amazing views of the sea and the town - both from your room and the dining area. The staff was so helpful and friendly. We walked everywhere. It is a challenging town to get around if you aren't super mobile as there are stairs everywhere. We loved it. Only thing that was a negative for us was the bed was super hard. Otherwise great. Good restaurants close by, and a good grocery store.

Comfortable, relaxed and lovely views

My son, daughter and I spent four nights at Hotel Holiday and really enjoyed it. The hotel staff were all really helpful and greeted us like friends whenever we met. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had lovely views of the sea from every window. We used it as a base to tour the Amalfi Coast and visited Sorrento, Positano and Ravello from there. We underestimated the time it took to get to Naples from Praiano though, so we perhaps should have stayed a night in Naples to do all there is to do there before going on to the Coast. In the end we had to leave earlier than planned to make sure we caught our flight.

Praiano seems not to be so well known as the other coastal towns and was quiet and pleasant when we were there at Easter. It was nice to walk along the streets and we particularly enjoyed watching the children play a very energetic game of football in the piazza outside the church one evening.

Overall Hotel Holiday played a big part in making it a lovely holiday for us all and we would love to have stayed longer.

Great Hotel Managed By A Great Lady

Our stay in Holiday Hotel was extremely pleasant. The service was flawless, the location and views - I’d say were among the best in the world (and I come from Australia which is beautiful too and we’ve travelled extensively) and the hotel manager went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I and my wife will definitely come back to this hotel again.
