The room was an iceberg…Frigid, they claimed the heater was broken, provided a blanket, my father ended up sick with bronchitis. I think it was warmer in the street than in the room.

Is a nice property, closed to restaurants and 6 minutes walking distance from the Plaza de Armas. The staff is amazing. But the hotel
Is in a lonely street, and the breakfast is poor, just only eggs and bread with juice and coffee. The last day I prefer to get out for breakfast. The room is ok but the last day when I was packaged my things I shook the sheets, and I found rice on the bed!!! I never ate in the room! It was disgusting!

This is a lovely hotel in a great location in the historic area of Arequipa. We arrived by bus early in the morning and although our room wasn’t ready, the staff offered us complimentary breakfast and the use of their facilities, which was much appreciated. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and breakfast was great. Would recommend to others visiting the area!

This is a very modern and very central Hotel in Arequipa with great staff. It's built into a traditional Arequipa building so the rooms don't have huge windows as other reviews have commented but this is part of the character of the Hotel. Overall, excellent place to stay in central Arequipa.

Fantastic experience!

It’s a wonderful hotel, new, clean, quiet and in a walking distance to many attractions. Best of all, the staff members were very friendly and helpful. We had to leave early (3am) for our trek, and they offered to make us breakfast. The best service!

Must stay when in Arequipa

This was an excellent hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They took care of all of our arrangements to the airport and had packed lunches for us when we left. The rooms are clean, and have very large bathrooms with a stand up shower and jacuzzi. Most importantly of all they have AC which seems to be a rareity in Arequipa and if you have anything against the smell of diesel and loud noises you will want AC. All in all this is a great hotel with excellent staff and great accommodations. I would highly recommend you stay here.

I didn’t like this place

My room had a window but way up over my eye level and All I could see were sky and next neighbour, not as advertised as “City view”.
Room lighting was very poor, dark decor made me a bit depressed.
So, I checked out to the cross street moving to Hotel Andina.

Our stay in Arequipa

Friendly staff, new property, clean room. The breakfast was pretty basic and on some days as the hotel had just a few customers they did not prepare proper breakfast. During the last night, we could not sleep as it was terribly noisy. The location of this small hotel is central in Arequipa so it's easy to reach restaurants and sites to visit.

Quality control concerns

Hotel is within walking distance of main historical sites. But my room was like a dungeon - very dark and only a partial window on the second floor. Lighting in room was also not the best. Further my sheets had stains on them which shows poor quality control with housekeeping but may be a result of the poor lighting. After management changed the bed sheets, there was further frustration because staff has minimal English language skills. Otherwise rest of the stay was just ok.

Dirt and Hairs on Bed Sheets

First night in Arequipa. We ran out of EL MONARCA because it was dirty and Expedia helped with the booking of this hotel \"QP HOTEL. $99 a night. Booked 2 Rooms and Thank goodness they only had one night available. We arrived at 12:30 am. Appearances, the hotel is nice, a mix of modern with old, however when we got our rooms, the beds sheets looked like they had not been changed.Room 1, had lots of Hairs and dirt on the bed sheets, see pics attached. When we confronted the Hotel receptionist, he came up to see the bed and just apologized, said he would inform the cleaning crew and gave us a clean set of bed sheets, so we can change the bed ourselves. Room 2, not much different, except not as much hairs as room 1. We all slept with our clothes on. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR STAY HERE EVER AGAIN.

Good location

Location and staff were helpful but some of the staff did not understand English and we had problems with our booking. We actually had a reservation for a Deluxe Suite with a kitchenette for 3 nights but on arrival was assigned a Deluxe room even though we have paid for the upgrade. Although we tried to explain to them they kept insisting that it was already an upgrade?? Tried to get in touch with Expedia without success. Although the room was ok we just wanted a better room since we were staying for 3 days.

Great location to the happenings in Arequipa.

Had a very pleasant visit to QP Hotel in Arequipa. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean (Room 101) My only issue was with the lights in the room, every night the light although were turned off at the switch the lights above the bed continued to glow, quite disturbing when the room never was completely dark. I brought up the issue to the staff ,so it will probably be taken care of. Only other issue was the flies, they are in the reception , restaurant ,not sure what that was about, never had a fly issue in any hotel in Peru before. Overall I did not go in with great expectations but despite those minor details, I would stay again.

We stayed three nights in this hotel while in the Arequipa area, and were very happy with the overall experience. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, which are really our two main needs while traveling. Because the hotel was only a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas the level of noise was a little higher at night than we would have liked, but that is a tradeoff that we expected and were ready for. The staff was very helpful and courteous, including helping us find a taxi for the airport after checking out on the last day.

Great place to Stay in Arequipa.

The hotel was clean, functional, and the staff was helpful and very polite. The location was a few blocks from the trendy restaurant and shopping district of Calle San Francisco. Taxi service was reasonably priced and arranged at moment’s notice with reliable and secure drivers. The room was comfortable with A/C, nice cable TV, and a nice bathroom. I will definitely stay again upon my return to Arequipa

At check in no one was expecting us young girl tried her best but had no record of our booking had to show email confirmation on I pad. Credit card machine wouldn't work ... Had to transfer details to there email to print out .. Not very pleasant after 10 hr bus trip .... As it was 11 pm .. Breakfast one morning turned up at 7.30am ...opened at 7.am no waiter only chef cooking and waiting on tables .very little food most people just got up and left as there were about 8 people in dining room . Bad management

For the price, I really liked this hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are nicely decorated, very modern. Good TV set. Nice views.
The only small disadvantage is that it is a couple hundred meters away from the main streets, so if you walk back to the hotel late evening it is a little solitaire. However it still seems to be safe enough. Great breakfast. They squiz the oranges for you and make the eggs. Very close to Santa Catalina, restaurants and fun. I liked so much I would return.

Although I booked the historic room, this one was already taken, so I had to accept a \"complimentary upgrade\" to a much expensive modern room. The hotel has no parking, rooms have no balconies. Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience: clean large enough room, very goog location, kind staff and decent breakfast.

Terrible Service!

The service at this hotel was awful!

We found that the general staff was cold and a little short with us. The only staff who felt genuinely welcoming and friendly were the two managers.

Our stay began with a confused (though friendly) manager who seemed to have trouble finding our reservation. We were told that we could wait while our room was prepared. When I contacted Expedia, they told me that the hotel had confirmed the reservation, so it seems that organization/communication at this hotel is poor.

In addition to the poor service, we also felt that this hotel was continuously trying to rip us off. I sent out a large load of laundry and received a bill for a little over US$100.00! An item of clothing was not returned to us, nor was it on the receipt, yet initially they wanted to charge us for sending it to Lima. The second problem occurred when we were checking out, and they tried to charge us double for the room. The problem in this case was that when I handed the night manager my reservation confirmation, I gave him the their reservation as well as the one from my hotel in Lima, by accident. The price for the hotel in Lima was used, even though it was double the nightly rate posted at the front desk.

Worst of all as far as experiences goes, however, was during breakfast. I had specified that I was vegetarian to the waitress, but I received an omelet that contained ham.

Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I have EVER had at a hotel.

Great option in Arequipa

The hotel arranged a transfer for us (small additional charge) and the driver was waiting for us at the airport with our name. They also offered us a welcome pisco sour which was a nice touch. The hotel has a great modern vibe but is in a building that retains vintage characteristics. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the main square and we felt very safe walking around. The only negative is that the housekeeping team were extremely loud in the morning while we were still trying to sleep (around 7:30 a.m.).

Acho que foi o melhor servico de hotel que tivemos no PERU. Organizaram passeior, forneceram agua todos os dias como cortesia. O quarto nao tinha muita luz natural, mas era muito espaçoso e confortável. O banho sempre quente. Havia uma chaleira e saches em uma pequena copa no quarto. Alem disso, a uma quadra e meia do Monasterio de Santa Catalina e 3 quadras da Plaza de Armas. Tudo pertinho. Fizemos tudo a pé.

La calle donde se encuentra el hotel es solitaria y un poco oscura, y la entrada del hotel no está iluminada así que nos costó encontrarla. Nos dieron una habitación en el sótano, si bien tenía ventana alta a un patio había poca ventilación. El desayuno te lo llevan a la habitación pero tienes que llamar cada vez a la recepción para pedirlo y no hay variedad aunque de sabor está bueno.

En general el hotel muy bueno, el personal amable, limpio y cómodo. Está muy cerca de la plaza de armas y principales lugares. El desayuno cumple.
Lo único que nos gustó fue que el check in demoró un poco y los amenities y elementos como jabón o papel higienico no los ponían a tiempo y cuando pediamos solo traían 1 siendo 2 personas. Fuera de esto el hotel es muy bueno.
