We had a day of king salmon fishing planned in the area, so we decided to stay in Soldotna for the night. We paid $234 for a double queen room.

The room had several issues. The air conditioner rattled throughout the night, one of the mattresses sagged noticeably in the middle, and the door was difficult to close properly.

On the positive side, the room was clean, the breakfast was great, and the staff accommodated an early check-in, which we appreciated.

Would I stay here again? Probably not at this price point. While there were some positives, the condition of the room did not match the cost.

I asked for a top opr end unit ahead of timr and it was not given. I was next door to some people i could hear talking most of the night. Boiler was down and ice machine was not working. There were not sufficient blankets on the bed. The staff was kind.

The dining room for breakfast was very nice and the staff there was friendly and kept it clean and well stocked.

We stayed 9 days and had to ask for housekeeping. we ran out of towels, coffee cups, and the plastic cups on the sink. The beds were very comfortable.

The King Salmon Inn was great along with the breakfast. The only area lacking was the laundry facilities had multiple units including soap dispenser were out of order. The facility closed at 11:00 pm. In soldotna in the summer people don’t stop until it gets dark. We thought doing laundry at 9-9:30 would have been fine but we barely got our clothes dry before closing

Best accommodations experience of trip. Nothing luxurious just solid. Friendly accommodating staff, tidy efficient room with good decent mattress, really good pillows and linens, and excellent shower pressure! The AC unit cooled fine but was a little noisy. And we loved being able to park right outside our door, just like “motel” implies. I’ll enthusiastically recommend this hotel to friends who often stay in fancier places.

When we checked in, the staff was super friendly,courteous and professional. After we brought our things to the room, I realized they had a room that had an adjoining door to the other side so we requested the connecting room. The staff had no problem with it and changed the rooms right away. When we came back late in the evening, we needed additional towels and the staff promptly provided them. The next morning, we ate breakfast at their restaurant next door. We were greeted by an amazing woman named Heidi! She is a breath of fresh air. She was so happy, helpful and engaging with everyone that walked in the door. You could just tell she loved her job and life in general. I would definitely stay here again next time.

Great Location, Small \"Queen\" Beds.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and large. The chairs at the small table were not comfortable for any time at all.

The beds were advertised as \"queen size\" but we measured and verified \"full size\" width of 54\". We thought there was a mistake and checked at the front desk but they insisted they were queen beds.

Not sure we would stay again with two grown siblings sharing a full mattress.

Icy parking lot

The room was very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bed frame was broken and made for difficult sleeping. Parking lot was so icy we could barely stand up at our car. Breakfast had plenty to offer. Overall a good experience but please take care of the icy parking lot. As older adults, it’s terrifying to think about breaking bones just to get in your car.

Best Western in Soldotna is centrally located. Our room was at an end at the back so road noise was minimum. Noise from rooms nearby and above was noticeable but not over loud.

Our room was comfortable, clean, well lighted. The heat register under the window needs repair.

Seriously, do not stay here! Overpriced and filthy. Bugs in light fixture in bathroom, toilet paper holder broken and had a spring holding one side. Musty, moldy smell in room..(even had the nerve to insist on a $50 cleaning deposit!) Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Directv did not work. Front desk said it was due to the weather but it was barely sprinkling. When we checked out, front dest clerk was laying on the couch with earbuds in.

Booked a 2nd floor room. They gave me a 1st floor. Desk attendant said 2nd floor was the bottom floor. ???!!!! Hotel had 4 cars on my side and she said No 2nd floor rooms available.
Not helpful and would not fix their error and wouldnt compensate me. Trim falling off around door, bathroom door comoletely bent and top portion of hallow door would not fit/close. Cold air poured in through windowsills and outside door frame. Not a 8.2 rating Expedia. Sorry.
