It’s a rather dated place, but serviceable. We enjoyed the jetted tub in our room! The breakfast was nothing to write home about. I had a good meal at the restaurant but my husband did not. Loved the end unit with windows on both sides & view of small boats entering the harbor. Staff was helpful when we had questions.

Staff was amazing. Cherry, welcoming, made a great first impression. Rooms felt out dated. Noise in morning from cruise ships passengers loading, parking lot noise and staff working was unexpected. Breakfast was in a dark room, felt like an employee break room. Very sad considering they do have Dining room with a view. For the price, I was very disappointed.

We had a first floor room at the end. It was very warm in our room so we opened the window to get some cooler fresh air. Instead, we were getting people’s cigarette smoke directly into our room. They were all smoking at the end of the building. We had to ask one gentleman to please move away from our window and smoke somewhere else at 10:30pm.

Terrible front desk help, both morning and night.
Nice location, but rooms face parking lot or dumpsters.
Breakfast was okay, but not great.

Overall it was a bit disappointing, in need of a refurbishment. Breakfast was in a side room which was rather grim and poor compared to others in the chain. Check in was good, nice happy chap, breakfast staff were nice too. Other receptionists either miserable or rude.

Had difficulty in the beginning. Expedia confirmed my stay but the hotel didn't get the information. The manager did her best to find it, and we finally got it resolved. Front desk staff very nice when checking in. We came with dogs, only $25 per dog was great. room 142 is right next to door to outside, huge plus. Problem is it's very loud, my mother said she couldn't sleep all night. Should put sign asking to close door quietly. I was exactly above her on 2nd floor and it's a lot noiser than newer hotels but I had no trouble sleeping. Everything in room was good. They even provide a little fan in the rooms which I loved. Huge TVs, I seen the gym but didn't use it. Free breakfast was great. They have decent bar and restaurant as well. Right next to a harbor so it was a pretty walk. Overall will definitely stay here again but would ask for different room then 142. Oh and they don't have an elevator which is huge negative if on higher floors. Beds were comfortable.

Very clean rooms, breakfast was the best so far with a great variety, there is a restaurant in the building. There was a slight mildew smell upon entering one hallway, but it had been raining a lot - it is Alaska... It's right next to the harbor and mountains all around so great scenery. Lobby had a fireplace which was nice to play cards next to. We did not check any other facility offers.

The check in was at 4pm but all housekeeping must leave by 3pm. No hot water for the jet tub or the shower. The jet tub was so small that myself at 6'3\" did not fit in the tub. Finally the restaurant in the hotel screwed uo our steak and then they offered to cook proper ones, 28 minutes later i approach the kitchen to ask why it was taking so long to cook a blue steak abs a medium well. They never git the order from the waitress.

Hotel was older but the rooms were clean and well appointed. Dinner was not served at the restaurant due to staffing shortages but they served the full menu at the bar. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday so there is no dinner option there and limited options in town off season. Breakfast was not the best, food was cold and looked reheated from the day prior (bacon and sausage). Plumbing was very loud in the room we were in all throughout the night. Loud water running through pipes woke me up a couple times despite being a deep sleeper.

View from room was good and staff was friendly and attentive.

This hotel has a great location on the Valdez harbor and is adjacent to the main areas of town. The rooms were comfortable and functional. The nicest aspect of the hotel was the casual and friendly vibe. The staff were friendly, helpful and sociable. The hotel had a rustic ambiance. There was a decent common area and nice breakfast. It didn't have a guest laundry or exercise room, but the location made up for that. Overall, this was a good stay.

During our stay, there were some warm days and there was no air conditioning in the motel rooms, only a very small fam. It was rather uncomfortable trying to sleep because of the very warm rooms. Not the \"best\" Best Western

Rooms were hot and there was no way to cool them down. We left windows open and an in room fan on but still was uncomfortable in room. Bathroom needs an upgrade as well, toilet was very low. Couldn't keep a constant temperature on the shower, one second hot then it would go cold then scalding hot and back to cold. 5 of us went to the restaurant for dinner and were told we should go into town. There was an 8 place table open but the hosted said, \"I'm not going to seat you there.\" We left our phone number for a call back and an hour later hadn't received one so we ate at another establishment in town.

This property appeared to be an artifact of the 1970s and seriously in need of renovation and maintenance. The bathroom was disgusting. The bathroom door was splintered, paint peeled off in very large portions, and it was greasy. I doubt if it had been cleaned in many months. The hallway outside our room looked like it had not been vacuumed in many days, maybe weeks. The screen in the window was torn so we could not open the widow for ventilation and the place has no air conditioning. This hotel is located immediately next to an industrial yard that is very noisy and dusty. There were 6 tour buses parked close to our room that were idling and pumping out diesel fumes for prolonged periods. We could not wait to get out of the place.

The staff makes this place a winner!

We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very accommodating. Our main complaint was that it was very hot in the room and there was no air conditioning. The front desk person came down and there was a fan provided in the closet, which helped a lot. We also had trouble with the lock on the door not working. It was looked at, but we were told it just acts up sometimes, but it was frustrating to not be able to get in our room. Breakfast was so-so, but again, the staff were wonderful and always asked if there was anything else they could do for us.

This was a convenient stay after the ferry. The room was clean, but mattress and pillows needed updating. The floors are pretty uneven and the room was a little crowded. The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was good enough quality, but very plentiful: eggs, pancakes, sausage patties & links, delicious bacon, cereal options and juice, coffee, tea, water, hot chocolate, milk… really it was a great start to the day.

The room shows its age a bit, but it’s very cozy. Great TV options for downtime. The beds are on the soft side, but not too bad for a couple nights. The bathroom vent is underpowered, but the windows open in the room to let in fresh air.

Snow is a constant in winter, but the parking area is cleared as well and as often as it can be. Snow piles up along the building and you need to heed the signs to park 6 ft away—or risk serious damage from snow falling off the roof.

The fitness room is open until 10 pm and adequately furnished with cable, free weights, a bench, treadmill and mirrors. Decent experience at a great rate.
