I was put in an old room. The carpet had multiple stains all over the place. The room itself had an awful odor, and something in the wall or outside of the wall vibrated all night. I asked to move rooms, and it was better.

The breakfast was delicious, excellent sausage cheese potato casserole. However the coffee wasn't good. Folgers is a very low rated coffee, so this was a big disappointment for my wife and I. Also, the check-in person was a bit difficult to understand, didn't make it very clear that our room was in a separate building

We were greeted by ‘Bow’ who made our arrival seamless. We travel with a Service Dog and my husband has mobility issues. She was very accommodating and made sure we had a quiet room. The night staff was equally friendly. I had very low expectations since we usually only stay at Marriott. This is the closest hotel to Dream Park and that was a huge benefit. So having a clean, pleasant place to rest was definitely a benefit.

Room smelled musty our entire day. The people in the room next to us were smoking in their room. The roof in the indoor pool room had lost several ceiling tiles, there was Clearwater damage, and there was a several pieces of insulation coming out. The morning breakfast was hosted by a very rude woman who would slam lid shut if someone forgot to close it. They’re also was approximately 6 to 8 ladybugs in our bathroom at any point.

So first, the front desk employees need some way to entertain themselves while still at least seeing the desk. Having to \"ring bell for service\" several times to check in isn't the best start.

Shortly after checking in, I called the front desk to get a plunger because our toilet got clogged (not something I blame the hotel for). The phone apparently doesn't work because that was the first of several times the front desk clerk couldn't hear me well. The second try, she could, and said she'd bring me a plunger. After waiting 20 minutes, I gave up and went to go get it myself. Cue ringing for service a few more times. And a few more when I returned the plunger.

The worst, though, was the lack of hot water in the morning. A hot shower and a clean room are the two things I most need out of a hotel. At least the room was clean. To the morning front desk clerk's credit, she contacted maintenance right away when I went up there to explain the problem (couldn't call, because again - phone not working). But it was 6am, so it took a while for the maintenance person to get in and fix the issue. I didn't have a while, so I made do with a room temperature shower. My wife just washed her hair under the faucet.

Some of that was just bad luck, but it definitely did not make for a pleasant stay.

On the bright side, the hotel looks pretty nice, and the staff is at least friendly.

Room was clean, beds were very comfortable with a soft fluffy comforter. 4 pillows on each bed. Breakfast, first day, was a little slack but a huge spread on Wednesday and Thursday. Coffee needs improvement but if you added some french vanilla creamer to it, was tolerable. The breakfast lady was very nice. Shower hot, great pressure. There was a fairly large fridge in room and a microwave which was nice as there was a grocery store with in walking distance.

I liked the fact that the light in the bathroom wasn't overpowering, although having the option for a bit more would be great.
Only issue was that one of the 2 days, the breakfast was lacking in vegetarian options. The 2nd day was very meat heavy, with only waffles and oatmeal not containing meat.

Lovely clean hotel in a gorgeous location with stunning views. The staff were all very polite and helpful. I had to add an extra night before I arrived and the staff made sure I stayed in the same room throughout my stay so I wouldn’t have to move (even though I accidentally booked the wrong room type!)

There is a small shop area with drinks and snacks, open 24 hours, which was really useful.

Breakfast was included and had a decent variety. Although could do with more vegetarian / vegan options.

Shout out to the cleaners because the whole hotel was spotless!

It’s situated on a lot with a McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Cafe, Liquor Store, Grand Union Market and other shops which are surrounded by beautiful views. If you really wanted to, you could spend your whole stay there.

It was also really good value for money and one of the cheapest hotels in the area.

Would recommend and would stay at Best Western again if I’m ever in Cooperstown. Thank you :)

This hotel was subpar. There are many other places in Cooperstown that seem much nicer. Stains on the carpet, no new towels or room service for the four days I was there. We stayed at the Best Western Cooperstown Inn & Suites for one night in October 2025. Our room was a two queen. We were there to visit Cooperstown, specifically the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Calvin and Hobbes exhibit at the Fenimore Art Museum.

Room: The room was clean, and everything was in good condition. The beds were very high (above my butt level) and otherwise comfortable, though one of us did roll out during the night - it was a hard fall. We heard no noise and had a terrific view, when the light blocking curtains weren’t pulled.

Amenities: The hot free breakfast was good, and the free parking was fine. We didn’t use the Wi-Fi much but it gave us no issues when we did. The TV worked well.

Service: Check-in went smoothly, though I was asked to sign a credit card authorization for about $100 more than my room cost as a deposit. The final charge was correct.

Location The location felt safe with a few places within walking distance (shoutout to Dunkin), but you'll want a car for most activities. It was very easy to drive to Cooperstown from there.

Issues: Our only issues were in the bathroom. There was only one weak light, and the shower water only ever got to lukewarm. I do appreciate that the amenities were in pumps and therefore less wasteful.

Overall, it's a decent, clean option for visiting Cooperstown, though the bathroom issues were disappointing. I'd consider staying again if the price was right but would probably shop around first.

This was the dirtiest hotel room I've ever been in. The hotel smelled dirty, the room smelled of stale cigarettes, the carpet was filthy and stained, the bathroom floor was also dirty. I wanted to leave the minute I walked in, but unfortunately I couldn't find another room in another nearby hotel considering it was parents weekend at SUNY Oneonta and everything was booked solid in the surrounding area. I know this isn't a five star hotel, but the room should have some level of cleanliness. This place is disgusting. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere where they have cleanliness standards.

Ok but need better amenities

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. I was a bit surprised that the shower had no hand rails or no non-skid surface in the tub. I wasn’t crazy with the fact there was no table side lamps or power sources bedside to recharge devices. The only usb port I found was on the desk of the room. No clock either. The lighting source by the bed were these bright lights above the bed with no way to dim. A little more thought into lighting and power sources is necessary. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t too inconvenient but if I was staying for longer than 3 days I might reconsider this hotel. And good luck figuring out the TV guide and tuning to the desired channel.
