Very nice stay, we did an overnight because of going to The horse races and fireworks.. Breakfast was plentiful. Husband enjoyed a morning swim. Water pressure was good.
We will be staying again for overnights when going to the horse races. 7 minute drive is better than 47 minute driver. The place was a definite good decision

The stay was horrid. Our rooms a/c unit was busted in 100 degree weather. When I went to say something to the front desk, there was someone already there for the same thing and said the lady gave him major attitude. The pool was closed for more than half our stay, and when it was finally opened, I stepped in chewing tobacco by the far ends ladder. The bar that was supposed to be open from 5 to 9 (4hrs) was hardly ever open. Had to drive down the road to get a good drink after a long trip. There was mold in our bathroom above the shower, and the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash onto the bathroom wall were empty. The bathroom sink was super slow draining, and our room's door wouldn't lock or latch, you could just push it open. Highly don't recommend staying at Best Western in Sayre PA.

While the hotel has potential, our experience did not fully match the description. Several listed amenities—including the pool, hot tub, sauna, and racquetball—were either unavailable or not properly maintained during our stay (the pool was out of order, there were no racquetball supplies, and we couldn’t find a sauna as advertised).

The room itself was just average, and the breakfast offerings were quite limited and did not meet expectations.

With better upkeep and more accurate representation of amenities, this property could improve. However, based on our experience, it did not provide the value we expected.

The pictures on Travelocity were definitely not representative of the actual rooms. They looked as though they started to update them, but gave up. The hallways and room smelled moldy and musty. The sheets were stained, as was the bathtub. There were clumps of hair floating in the pool. The hot tub was not hot, and was in desperate need of repair. Breakfast was cold (we got there not long after breakfast started). Upon checking in, the desk rep was not present, had to wait at least 15 minutes for her to show up. Would appreciate a refund. Will not stay here again.

The bedding was old and uncomfortable. The shower didn't work well and had little to know shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The pool and hot tub were just gross. Long hairs in the pool and a sock. People there using the pool seem to know the staff and I question if they even had a room since they seem to be from the area. They brought there two young kids who were in the pool and hot tub with full diapers and also puked and or pooped in the pool. They left and about two minutes later we were told the pool was closing because of the puke or poop in the pool. The only reason I picked this hotel was so my daughter could use the pool. Very disappointing. I will not return.

Stay was pleasant enough- easy to get to and close to enough places (restaurants, gas, etc.)

However, when we got up to go to the included breakfast, we were told as we were walking to the breakfast room that the breakfast closed at 9:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m. is ridiculous. The breakfast should be available to at least 10:00 if not 11:00.

We paid $250 for one night and this place was absolutely disgusting. The pillows on the bed were mini throw sized cushions with pillowcases folded around them. They were stained yellow. The comforter was just a white sheet. The carpets were filthy, the hallways and the room smelled like old smoke and mildew, and the bathroom floor was sticky. I slept with towels on my pillow, with my clothes on. We couldn’t leave fast enough in the morning. Staff was really strange, unprofessional and just plain weird.$250 is WILD for this. I have stayed in much higher quality hotels for way less.

Pool and hottub were still chained shut the next day. I understand the hotel can't control emergencies but they are out of my control as well. Would be nice if the hotel us another stay since the pool and hottub was closed without warning.

Room was okay very dry air . I rented because my daughter had a Tonsillectomy at the hospital near by. I could tell someone had smoked in the room previosly. When we got back from surgery my room key stopped working and I was holding my daughter in my arms trying to get the door open. Thankfully the house keeper was near by and was able to let me in. I did then call down to the front desk to try and get a new room key brought up but it never came. I didnt rate poor because a man named David working at the resturant downstairs gave us exceptional service. Making my daughter a special smoothie and just giving a little sprinkle of positivity on our long day. He even played taylor swift songs for my daughter. The hotel wasnt great the pool area was poorly ventelated and appeared uncleanly . It was about 7pm the night before the surgery when we went to the pool so maybe it was just recent trafic? I didnt wanna stay another night as the air quality wasnt great in the room. Ate the last nights money because of it. 24 hour notice refund policy.

We were very disappointed with our experience and we have stayed in many, many hotels. This was the first time trying a best western.
Upon arrival to our room, we opened the door and the smell of marijuana was so strong it hit us in the face. We refused to stay in a room with our child that smelled like skunk (this was supposed to be a non smoking room). We went down and requested another room and we were moved but the next room had a musty smell. Our friends, had to also move rooms because the sink was clogged in theirs. This makes me wonder the quality of the cleaning that is happening since the rooms didn’t seem to be ready for new guests but were being assigned anyway.
The hot tub was also barely warmer than the pool, we called the front desk and they said it was broken (This was the reason we stayed here so this was a huge disappointment and we were not told this at check-in ). At 9 pm, in the evening, the room next to us was blasting music so loud and yelling; we again had to call the front desk and ask if we could be moved. They said they had no more rooms available but would ask them to turn down the music. It was a good, 30 mins before this happened and it was quiet enough to sleep.
We also used the fitness center and the machines are very, very dated.
The hotel could be nice, but needs updates that seems to be ignored.
After this experience and the price of this hotel being more compared to others in the area, we would NOT stay here again or recommend.

Three minutes after my check-in, I received a notice of fraudulent use of my credit card. I would normally assume there was a coincidence. However, the agent said he was having trouble with the hotel computer. He kept banging the mouse and switching computers. He would not make eye contact. It took him ten minutes to check me in.
He was also unable to provide adjacent rooms or even rooms on the same floor.
I reported my concerns to the manager the next day and to my credit card company.
