We had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was really clean, modern and just lovely. The staff was great and eager to help. Their English is limited so download your Baidu Translate app before arriving in China. There is also a bunch of great little restaurants in the immediate neighborhood as well as a Bank of China close by. If anyone knows of a better translation app please let me know.

Not recommended at all,

From the entry the checkin process took so long and the staff is not professional at all.

As a room, the toilet wasn’t cleaned AC was not working well, safe book was so old fashion and the all the facilities are old.

I stayed in their apartment room for a few days, and overall, it was a very positive experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was provided by the restaurant Akatsuki, and it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, cozy stay during their trip.

I liked the variation of foods in the breakfast buffet along with the fact that there were people that were helping you open the heavy doors to get in and out of the hotel easily. I would definitely come here another time or recommend it.😁

Yuwa had a nice breakfast. The staff speaks very limited English. The bed was hard, pillows were soft, but there was a stain in the sheet. The room was fairly clean, but there was black marks (maybe mold) in the caulking in the bathroom. Also, they are a little lenient on smoking because I could smell smoking from my bathroom.

Two separate stays in a week on a business trip, overall both stays were good experiences with central location, friendly staff, good size clean rooms, good buffet breakfast, efficient shuttle bus to and from Canton Fairs. The downsides were only a few but important I think, a good trip usually means a good nights sleep but the beds were really hard even with a mattress topper that I requested so I found a spare doona in the cupboard which gave some comfort - a softer bed would have made a huge difference. The only other downside was a lack of english at the front desk, we managed as you always do in China but this could certainly be improved as there was a number of Australasian and European guests.
All in all a good stay.

What I like MOST about Yuwa Hotel is their Service ... the extra effort they put into making your stay -WELCOME AND APPRECIATED . The Breakfast Buffet was also very good ! The only complaint that I can only say -- it a little far from any subway stop . I will definitely come back again to stay with them again

Good hotel but far from subway station

Overall a good hotel with good internet connectivity, clean, good gym facility and restaurants in surrounding area. Lots of restaurants to choose from, one only needs to venture a few steps from the hotel to get good and reasonably priced food. Only drag is that the nearest subway station is about a good 15 mins uphill walk away. A sweaty walk in warmer temperatures. General taxi fare into the city centre will costs about RMB20.
I was provided a nice spacious room but with no working table soda little inconvenient in that sense. Only have a Japanese style tea table with 2 mats.

Great Hotel and better Staff!

The hotel was great! Very modern look in the lobby that translated to the rooms as well. Had a very trendy feel to it. A+ on the look. The staff was even more impressive. English speaking in case you don't speak Chinese, very quick responses to request, moving with urgency when attending to things for you. Great attention to detail

The hotel is about a 10-15minute ride from the train station, which is very convenient. Another note on the staff. I needed to purchase a ticket to Shenzhen for a meeting and was trying to figure out how to do that. They were kind enough to send someone to purchase the ticket for me and I had it in my hand about 15minutes later...which was very helpful.

The rooms are great with a very modern look. Extremely clean and well tended to. The mattress is a bit on the firm side though, so that is something to consider. Not rock hard uncomfortable but is a bit firm for sure.

Quite, Clean and EXCELLANT Staff

We had a wonderful stay at the Yuwa. We stayed during Canton Fair and the hotel service was 5 star, staff was EXCELLANT. The breakfast was very good. It is off the beaten path, so room was very quiet which was a plus. However, limited in local sights, food and shopping, but close to Metro and Train station.

Good hotel and excellent service

The hotel staff was very helpful, going above and beyond in many instances, such as accompanying me to a local store to buy a sim card for my phone. The room was large and comfortable. One thing I did not like was the room did not have a desk. I was on business trip, so made it very difficult to work in comfort. The room also had sliding doors for storage. Hard to describe, but the way they worked meant that you covered one thing you wanted access to when you opened the door to the other side. A bit of a pain for functionality. The breakfast was good, with many options. The local area was busy, and places to buy food, and the hotel was a walk to the subway so I could get to Canton Fair (they did have shuttle bus as well).

Great value hotel but bring a phrase book

The hotel was excellent value and exceeded our expectations. Staff were very friendly but they speak little English! The food in the hotel was excellent but service took a long time due to our lack of Chinese and the staffs' lack of English. Not a brilliant location but we chose it because it was close to our business contacts. We would use the hotel again but this time brush up on our Chinese.

There were no major complaints, but the attention to detail was not great. There were broken cabinets and difficulty using the safe, among other small things. The location is a bit out of the way and not as close to the metro as we had hoped based on its location on the map.

That said, there were many good restaurants in the neighbourhood and we enjoyed being off the 'tourist' track.

Great Value and Service

I stayed here for my first visit to China in April 2015, while attending the Canton Fair. What a great hotel, with such an exceptional service. The rooms are very clean and relatively modern. The shuttle bus to and from the fair was very useful. The staff is amazing and speaks fairly good english. The front desk acts more like a concierge than just a typical check-in and check-out stand. They even accompanied me on several occasions to nearby places of business to translate for me and make sure I got what I needed. Special thanks to Eric on the day shift and Anna and Lily on the night shift whom each went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. You guys were fantastic. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I come again. Thanks again.

Wish we had longer there!

We chose this hotel after reading very positive reviews on line and were delighted to find them absolutely spot on. I could not over state the friendlyness of the staff from the door man, reception and house keeping. Special mention to Anna on reception who went the extra mile to assist.

I was very disappointed. After seeing the good ratings, I had high hopes. The first room they gave me had a broken door lock that included a cracked wall where someone had obviously kicked in the door. I went back down and told them about the lock. They said it was a Japanese design and I didn't understand how to use it. I told them to go up and look. The restaurant menu is very limited for lunch and dinner options. The breakfast was OK but nothing extraordinary. They did not exchange currency..... This was a large inconvenience. They sent me next door to the Bank of China where the average wait to be helped is 45 minutes to an hour. I went there twice so this is accurate. This is an apartment/hotel combination. MANY, many young kids in the lobby, coming in and out after school. The bar is a not a real bar. Just a location with a few bottles of liquor so they can say they have a bar. There was no sauna as listed.

The Yuwa Hotel is highly recommended. It's clean and in a convenient location also with free shuttle bus to go to Railway station. Staff (who all speak good English) are most helpful and would get out of their ways to do things for you. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night on the way to Hong Kong. As we had to come back to Guangzhou to catch a flight back to Australia, we left our several pieces of luggage there. When we came back to collect the luggage, they were so helpful with our repacking, etc and even provided a commercial scale to weigh the luggage. They called a taxi to the airport and loaded the suitcases into the taxi for us as well. A great many thanks to the hotel staff.

This property is half hotel and half service apartment. Mainly catering to visiting Japanese business people, it seems. Rooms are small to average size. Bed was too single beds pushed together so not very comfortable. Clean, quiet. Adequate for the price. Breakfast is mediocre at best.

Yuwa gonna like it here

We arrived early in Guangzhou and when we arrived at the hotel they allowed us to check in early, which we very much appreciated as it had been a long flight after an 11hour delay. The room was clean and comfortable, we were very impressed... especially with the bidet toilet seat! Fresh fruit and bottled water was provided for free each day, an added bonus. There was a bit of a language gap with the staff at the front desk, even at the 'English language counter', but shouldn't you expect that when you're travelling to a non-English speaking country? Overall a very positive experience. The hotel would be ideal for holidaying families/couples/singles or those travelling on business.

This hotel It has 3 buldings. one that it s only wiht hotel rooms, and the others 2 have aparments that are really very comfortable wiht kitchen. The hotel lobby it is modern not big, quiet and nice.. The cafee store it is like a living room, and the service it s good.

Very nice hotel with excellent service

Nice hotel with very good service. Convenient for the fair, with three free shuttle buses in the morning, and two back to the hotel in the afternoon. Not a luxury hotel, so if you stay for a long time, you could wish a swimming pool and better training room. But good standard in the room, with free Wi-Fi and clean & modern rooms. The hotel is a little bit outside the city center, so you don't have many shops or good restaurants nearby.

Nice Stay at Yuwa_With Some Caveats

Pros:
1) The staff was very welcoming upon arrival. Although they initially could not find my reservation, they followed through in a reasonable amount of time and resolved the issue.
2) The hotel was aesthetically beautiful. From the lobby to the room, the sleek design and modern atmosphere were impressive. 3) The view from my room was relaxing and the room in general was very clean and comfortable.

Cons:
1) Not centrally located. Although it's no more than about a 10-15 minute walk to Yantang Metro, some people may prefer to be closer to the heart of the city versus Tianhe district.
I, however, liked the charm of the neighborhood and didn't mind the commute. The taxi from the Shamian Island area, for example, back to the hotel should not run you more than 45-50RMB. It's pricey but if you're tired at night it's doable and less than 10USD.
2) Although the staff was nice and tried their best, some didn't seem like they were trained well and the overall English level would probably frustrate most customers who travel from abroad and don't speak any Chinese. Patience is key. The best English speaker on staff was Jackie (a student intern--very professional guy that I hope gets a job offer after school ends!). Other helpful and professional staff members were Flora and Jack. 3) Hotel restaurant is very pricey.

In sum: Would book it again. Hopefully they don't change the upkeep and they work on staff training.

The attitude of all staff is good, even the security outside the main entreance can provide the best service. Their staff even refused us to take the tips as we wanted to reward them. The room is clean and tidy as the hotel is new. Facilities at bathroom an keep in good condition. However, the location is not so accessible and quite difficult to find if you do not take TAXI.

至れり尽くせりで快適でした

普段中国在住で広州に用事があったので2泊しました。日本人向けのサービスホテルなので日本式設備・サービスが多くとても快適でした。宿泊者は無料の大浴場、部屋も浴槽付き、ウォシュレットトイレ、日本の番組の見られるテレビ、和食おかずのある朝食ビュッフェ、フローリングの床など日本人には嬉しいものが揃っていました。日本式の部分だけでなく、24時間利用可能なジム、ジムや浴場には自由に使えるタオルやペットボトルの水が置いてあったり、チェックアウトが最初から14時に設定されていたりと、いろんな面が行き届いている印象です。地下鉄駅からは少し遠いですが、長距離列車の駅でもある広州東駅からも自転車10分程度の場所で、交通面も比較的便利だと思います。

日本人駐在員向けのサービスアパートメントに併設されたホテルで、設備は更新されています。ただ目立たない場所の清掃が行き届いていなかったです。立地は駅から離れていて知っている人以外馴染みが薄いかも知れませんが、天河の中心街に近く静かな環境です。

現地でお迎えが来る人か、天河のバス停行く人には良い

最寄りの(燕塘)駅から歩くと結構距離がある。
1階の雰囲気は良いけれど、部屋が思いのほか使い辛い。
(引き戸が4枚あって、それぞれテレビや冷蔵庫、クローゼットみたいになっていて、テレビを見ながら冷蔵庫は開けられない)
とはいえコストパフォーマンスは良いし、
一階の人は日本語喋ってくれるし、隣にファミマもあるので、一泊してどこかいく程度なら良いと思う。
一週間とかいたらロケーションも含めて飽きそうです

日本語放送もあり、朝食も納豆やお蕎麦、ワンタンメンなどあり美味しかった。
部屋は狭いのが、残念です。
アコーディオンドアを開け閉めしないとテレビや冷蔵庫内のドリンクが出せないのは困りました。
ドアをオープンにするようにお願いしましたが、対応できない回答でした。

バスタブがありゆっくりお風呂を楽しめます。
エアコン強度も良かったです。

このホテルは日本語が話せるスタッフが常駐しているので、ある意味日本のホテルのように安心して宿泊できました。
また、朝食は他の一般的なホテルに比べてメニューも多く、おいしかったですね。
それに土曜日などは、日本の駐在員のご家族も食事されていて、日本語があちこちで聞こえて雰囲気も良く、一瞬中国に来ているのを忘れさせてくれました。
そういう意味で落ち着かせてくれるホテルだと思いました。
ただ、ホテルの場所が最寄りの地下鉄の駅から徒歩２０分ぐらいの所なので、移動手段は少し検討する必要があります。
ただ、午前と午後に２便無料シャトルバスが運行されています。

這次我去了友和酒店，我和家在那訂了兩間房間，到那裡便去檢查那的設施，我們發現那的櫃子開不了，那時我們和前台說了，叫他們第二天派人處理一下，第二天我們離開前，也有提醒他們上去處理，可是到晚上，我們回去後，發現問題沒有人處理，所以我們便打了電話去前台問，他們說現在派人去看一下，等了好一陣子，還是沒人來處理，我們打了幾次電話，才有人上來說軌道壞了，明天再幫我們處理，可是我們明天就走了，所以我們叫他們把門拆了，等我們走了才弄。所以我覺得他們的工作效率差，設施又不檢查好就讓客人住。

衣櫃壞了，電視開不了，服務差，沒效率...

一入住酒店就發現，衣櫃壞了，電視開不了，酒店答應隔天早上維修，結果到隔天晚上我們回酒店後再不停催，才把衣櫃的趟門拆了，說是沒有零件更換，真讓我們笑哭不得
