I recently took my 8th-grade son to China for the first time, and we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From check-in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful river view. I highly recommend choosing a river view room—it’s slightly more expensive, but the view from the balcony is incredible and worth it.

The room was cleaned daily, and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. I really enjoyed the hotel food, especially the traditional Chinese dishes. My son is a picky eater and didn’t care much for local cuisine, but we were both happy with the breakfast buffet. It offered a nice mix of Chinese and Western choices. I didn’t include breakfast when booking through Expedia, but I plan to next time.

A big reason I picked this hotel was for the gym. My son plays basketball and baseball back home, and having a gym was important to him. He really liked the gym setup and also spent time enjoying the pool. The hotel’s facilities overall were excellent for both of us.

The only downside was the lack of laundry services. Unlike other hotels in Shanghai that offer washers and dryers, this one didn’t. I had to take a 20-minute taxi ride to find a laundry spot, which was a little inconvenient.

Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely return on our next trip. The location, service, and amenities made it a memorable experience.

I enjoyed my stay. My room was nice, spacious, clean, and had a good view.The breakfast was nice and had a mix of Western and Eastern cuisine. The only downside is that it isn’t close to a metro station for public transportation.

Service was pretty good; room was clean. But there were no power outlets for US visitor.
The staffs at lobby was not good with English communications. But there were ok with best efforts to help me.
Biggest problem is that they don't release my deposit of 1000 yuan even after 13 days of my check out.

I was taken aback to discover a water leakage issue during my recent stay at a Hilton property, as such occurrences have been quite rare in my previous experiences. The persistent dripping of water resulted in an untidy and unusable bathroom, which was certainly disappointing.

The hotel’s customer service team did attempt to address the situation by offering to relocate me to another room. However, I was not entirely satisfied with the alternative they provided, as the replacement room was situated on a lower floor and had a smaller activity area.

Overall, I must admit that this experience fell short of the impeccable standards I have come to associate with Hilton. As a loyal patron, I had expected a seamless and enjoyable stay, and unfortunately, this particular visit did not meet those expectations.

Very good hotel with spacious rooms and nice restaurants. Wish the spa facility could be a bit more professional as it was closed to guests the whole time while we were there and the staff members for that facility were not too welcoming either when answering our queries.

A wonderful place to do Nanjing

How do I begin. Whether it’s Billy at the front desk, Helen getting your taxis, or the gal taking your laundry in the morning, the service at this hotel is amazing. Billy wrote down all the terms we would need such as hello, thank you, goodbye, I need a taxi, etc. with the English translation into Mandarin. In addition, he practiced them with us and made sure we knew what we needed to get around. He personally made this day most enjoyable. Helen out on the curb was always cheerful with a big smile on her face and made sure a taxi always available. We have been all around the world, and the service at this hotel was top three.
Do yourself a favor when you’re in Nanjing and make the Hilton Riverside a priority to stay.
The hotel itself was typical Hilton, topline, comfortable and clean.
It was a nice area and seemed easily accessible. Taxis are cheap in China. Keep up the work NHR and thanks again Billy.

The Riverside Hilton has superb river view and is certainly a cut above the normal in China. The rooms are well appointed and maintained. I only stayed one night but would definitely use this hotel again.

Far away from the city but close to river.

Overall the hotel was good. Location was a little aways from the city so it is very quiet and nothing to do around the area at night. However, I was upset when I found out that my cigarettes (2 packs unopened) disappeared from my bag during the day when I was gone. I believe the cleaner took it but the hotel manager said he verified that the cleaner did not touch my stuff and he left it at that. It makes me feel like I am the one lying. No offer to compensate or do anything extra for me even though I am a Hilton Silver Rewards member. That was quite disappointing for a Hilton as I have stayed in Hilton for over 10 years across the world and nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

Good view, great service but nanjing is polluted (air) so you may not like what you see depending on the day. Location is a bit off. The other hilton has a better location if you want to be close to restaurants shopping etc.

A good experience

In China generally, little English is spoken and communication can involve a lot of guess work. Most reception staff at Hilton Riverside can understand enough to help and are very keen to do so. The Chinese generally are lovely people who want to help and the staff at Hilton especially nice. The concierge, Gary, is extremely helpful and the deputy manager, Maria, is often around and always keen to help with anything.

Good room but not location

Hotel room was very comfortable and clean. However, hotel location is not so ideal. Getting a taxi can be a problem. Waited for 20mins in the morning and still could not get a taxi.

Understaffed, the breakfast buffet was poorly managed and had no few for hours as hundreds of guests were managed by maybe 5 cook staff, completely useless buffet for a so called 4 star hotel. Room was decent but thin celling and walls mean you hear your neighbors stomping around and TV blaring.

我們半夜十二時多才抵達酒店，櫃台人員很親切，非常謝謝她。但是，進了房間後，發現電視架的桌面有好幾處黏黏的液體殘留，可能是前一組客人的飲料留下來，而清潔人員沒有徹底擦拭乾淨。雖然，我們第二天一大早就退房了，並不礙事。但，畢竟是五星級國際品牌的酒店，這樣的清潔度實在有待加強。不過，退房時，我向櫃檯反應。櫃檯小姐態度非常好，並向我道歉，強調會反映。還是值得嘉奬的。
