The butler staff was very new to me but made getting to know the property very easy and quick allowing us to get the most out of our 6 day stay

The butler service was fantastic. The food and drinks were great! Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was a second honeymoon for us and they gave us a bottle of champagne and a yummy dessert. My only complaint is that everything was very pricey.

The property was beautiful and clean. We had some bad luck with the airline leaving our luggage in Miami. So, when our taxi (ordered by Rosewood) took 30 minutes to pick us up and then upon arrival, our butler was nowhere to be found. We were frustrated. We waited for him to arrive for a while. Once he did arrive, he was not very friendly and seemed annoyed that we were only there for one night before leaving for our villa. Dinner in the Rum Room left much to be desired as far as quality of food. Breakfast was amazing and the service there was wonderful. So, I would say a 3-4 star experience. Disappointing, especially for the cost. I would not stay again.

I like the comfortable luxury of this quiet little resort. Service was superb and facilities are very nice. The only issue we had were mosquitos swarms that covered the whole island for the last 3 of our 6 night stay. They were everywhere, including the beach and restaurants. In researching why, I found the local government had been hoodwinked into paying a biotech company to release millions of mosquitoes. The hope is to reduce mosquito in the future, but it certainly is at the expense of tourist and the natural environment. While this decision to release millions of mosquitoes is not on Little Dix, it would have helped to have screen porches. There simple was not a place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Water activities were safe during the day, but by 4pm, the biotech mosquitoes were large and in charge of the whole island.

RLDBay is a beautiful property, and Virgin Gorda has the best beaches in the Caribbean. The rates are expensive but includes many activities. However, for the nightly rate, breakfast should have been included! Our butlers were not helpful. The rooms smell moldly/musty from the humidity. Bring a Renuzit/Glad room freshener!!!

Amazing property! Exceptional location! Full of turtles on the bay right in front of the hotel. Great snorkel. The option of dropping off guests in nearby Islands for picnic is fantastic! I really enjoyed it. The Baths are wonderful. I would go back again to this place.

You can go to any far away hotel regardless of stars. There is no hotel in the world like Little Dix. And I have seen a few. The literal definition of true seclusion from daily life.

Loved our stay.

This is an beautiful resort and we loved our stay there. Highly recommend this place. I tripped on the sidewalk that had a 2\" drop and reported it to the Golf Cart driver and he took action to report it to Management and they took decisive action to fix the crack before we left and check with me several times to make sure I was OK. Very responsive.

LDB is What's Up!!

AhhhhhMazing!!!! LDB knows how to do it right! Their customer service and attention to detail are hands down the best we had out of 3 other Islands and resorts. Beautiful beaches, scenery and grounds. Breakfast buffet was top notch!

To be completely candid and honest, I want to say that Rosewood on Little Dix Bay was over all a very enjoyable experience. However, as contradictory as it may sound, I would not go back to Rosewood nor would I recommend it to a friend. I think, with research, there are better places to stay on Virgin Gorda which had some of the most beautiful water and beaches I have ever experienced. The water and beaches surpass, in my opinion, Hawaii, the West Indies, and the Bahamas. I loved diving/snorkeling while on this trip. However, when I return to Virgin Gorda, I prefer to stay in a villa where I can prepare some simple meals, especially breakfast and lunch. The Rosewood Resort charged ridiculously outrageous prices for the food. The nightly buffet was $80.00 per person. The meal plan per person for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was $150.00. That is $300.00 a day per person which would be $2100.00 for a week's stay for a couple. I think that is outrageous. A person is on this remote island with a few other restaurants, but if a car is not rented then one must pay taxi fares back and forth to the restaurants. The food issue gets to be entirely too much. The food is entirely too expensive. I do want to say the entire staff was gracious, kind, and helpful.

Best 5-star service ever

No wonder there were so many honeymooning couples. This is one of the best resorts my husband and I have stayed at. The bungalows are removed and private. The service is excellent, you feel like you are special. The spa overlooks one of the most beautiful mountain top views of the ocean we have seen. There is an infinity pool up at the spa that overlooks this view. It is quiet and relaxing, you don't want to leave. The ocean is calm and inviting. Highly recommended for a couple looking to get away from it all and be treated like royalty. Food was top notch.
You have got to see this place!

Unique, Secluded and Charming all the way!

Beautifully done! Lawrence Rockefeller really paid attention to all the details. The grounds are fantastic! The bay is the best anywhere and Virgin Gorda is the perfect, secluded, friendly setting. Great gym. Interesting concept to not have any room keys or tv's in room but we liked it all. As many people that were there, you were never crowded and it always felt private.
Very expensive. 18% gratuity is included in all food service which is already quite high. We ended up with a $40+ tip to have someone pour coffee at a buffet. But. . . we get it.

The hotel location was fantastic with a beautiful beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. But this is not a 5 star hotel and for the price it seems a little tired. The breakfast buffet is great, lunch is very average and dinner was terrible. We are their the first night and that was it.

We had a wonderful time at Little Dix Bay. The location, room, view, beach and staff were all terrific for a very quiet non pretentious getaway. The food was just ok - not great. But the staff was always willing to accommodate any request. The spa was excellent too!

This place is AWESOME!!!!

We have been to many of the carribean islands, stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman and St Thomas, but this takes the cake. If you are looking for a secluded place, a pampering staff, and great food this is it. From the time we stepped off of the 6 seater double prop Cape Air plane at the Virgin Gorda International Airport (VIJ) (Spanish Town), we were greeted by two of the staff that loaded our luggage, extended cold water bottles, and scented cold wet towels, we knew it was going to be good. Rosewood LIttle Dix Bay is literally 5 minutes from the airport (if you choose to fly into Spanish Town. Otherwise, you fly into a neighboring island and the Rosewood's own boat will come pick you up and brick you back for $65.00/per person/per way. (We elected to fly straight in). The hotel's 120 rooms are spread between about 20-25 villa buildings, some are single story, some are two story, but each contain about 4 units. We stayed in one of the buildings closest to the beach and it was awesome. 20 steps from our sliding door to the sand and 20 more steps to the water, the villas are separated from the beach by trees and vegetation but it is open so the views are awesome. The resort is very linear (see the resort map on the Rosewood website) so they offer complimentary golf cart shuttles back and forth to wherever you want to go. We used the Sense Spa, played tennis on the artificial grass courts, and ate a drank alot. This by far is the best place we have ever been!

Simply Amazing!

If you are staying at any other island in the Caribbean, a trip over to Virgin Gorda and a few days of luxury at Little DIx Bay is a must! Right out of Eat, Pray, Love! Very romantic! Bask at The Baths, explore the caves and come back to an amazing massage at the resort! Customer serve galore and plenty of water sports to keep you occupied! Fabulous restaurants nearby too! My favorite spot in the Caribbean islands!

Amazing Vacation

This is a great vacation resort with much to do in Little Dix Bay as well as all over the island. This is paradise!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff is quite friendly overall.

The daytime beach bar/restaurant was our favorite with simple and delicious options that aren't too overpriced.

The beach is absolutely beautiful and there's plenty to do in the bay. The resort provides options for island hopping, snorkeling, scuba diving, paddle boarding, sailing, etc.

A few things to keep in mind are that this resort has a slower pace and any issues that you may have will take time to be resolved.

The other thing to be aware of is that there aren't sophisticated hospitals or conveniently stocked drug stores on this island. Be sure to pack any medications that you may need while on your trip.

Watch for food quality

Other than food quality and options, this place is a excellent, but after the first night, we left the property every night to eat elsewhere on the island. The menu is very narrow in options, and we had to return two caesar salads due to wilted lettuce and being drowned in salad dressing.

Gorgeous, Quiet and Secluded

Stayed here for 5 nights. The oceanfront room is incredible, opening to a 10 foot walk to a private beach on a tranquil bay. The beach is unbeatable, with shallows going out to a reef, perfect for swimming, floating, or snorkeling. You will not find a resort in a more beautiful setting anywhere in the world. Highly recommended for couples looking for a quiet getaway in an ideal Caribbean setting.

A dream that became a reality

Words can't describe how beautiful, serene, peaceful and astonishing this hotel and beach was. The rooms were spectacular, along with the service. The view and beach was amazing and secluded. The food was perfect. Sugar mill restaurant was delecious. As well as the buffet breakfast at the pavilion. Cow trail is awesome, if your into hiking. The view was breath taking. I can't say enough about this place. I usually like to travel to different place and not go back soon, but I would definitely go back to this hotel next year! Without hesitation!!!!!

Best Place to Stay in BVI's

We were very happy with our stay. The rooms were comfortable and updated, the beach was beautiful and relaxing, the service was top-notch and the location made it convenient to get to restaurants and sights off of the hotel grounds. It is rare that I write that I would highly recommend a place, but this place was perfect for a relaxing trip.

Most relaxing hotel in the caribbean

We booked a weekend getaway with our 1 1/2 year old daughter from friday to monday. It was perfect, we hopped on Seaborn direct flight from SJU to Virgin Gorda and arrived in 30 min. Hotel provided complementary shuttle to Little Dix Bay. Once we checked in we went to our room in front of the beach. It was pure paradise: no noises, sunny, white sand, cristal clear water, sea turtles, manta rays and confortable beach chairs with shade. The staff was very professional in all aspects. The food was allways good when we went to the restaurant. Loved the look and feel of this very well designed and preserved hotel from the 60's. I will definetly be back soon.

Tranquility at its best...

This resort is huge, located 5 minutes from spanish town center and consist of multiple beachside rooms bordering a strip of a private beach/marina. The beach is cristal clear with powder white sand. Most of the beach is for you with free use of non motorized equiptment. You can sit in a lounge chair all day and see maybe 10 other guest, the most. That tranquil. Rooms have tropical decorations, not bad, but a little dated. Restaurant choices limited, The Sugarmill , their best restaurant closed Fri and Sat!! If breakfast not included in your rate, expect around 40.00 pp with tip(18%), because there is not a la carte options exept egg benedictine and a salmon platter.
No tv at rooms, no entertIment at night, most daily activities are related to snorkeling and diving, as they take you complementary to any beach/ coral spot in the BVI. Good 6 courts of tennis, mostly empty.
Is this is your dream vacation , then this is your place. For the most adventure minded persons I suggest to rent a jeep and explore the island, and taste local and international cousine 5-10 min from the hotel. You can drive to mostof the beaches and explore national parks and historic sites.
The service is good but down a notch from other 5 starts resorts.
Overall recommended with above reservations.
