When checking in we faced an issue with the receptionist for an error in the number of occupants which was of no fault from us. After a while the manager cane and sorted everything out and apologized for the mistake. The receptionist was rude and was not happy even after the manager sorted the issue. She made the process very hard for us to checkin and said that if we don’t like it we can leave. She was rude and unhelpful.

At a 5 star hotel it’s not acceptable you cannot access the pool or the gym early in the morning. Guests like to use the pool in the cool mornings and gym when it’s quiet.

We have clearly stated all of the problems that we have faced during our 4 nights staying at the hotel to their Sales and Marketing Director on 3rd day of our stay. She didn't even take a note any of them. Promised to get back to us all of the reported issues within 1 hour, but she didn't even care of us and our reported issues. They are mostly focused on the local events where they are making most of their income for our understanding and don't care the rest of their clients. Definitely don't recommend this facility, not a worth of the money. Go with your other options.

The rooms weren't clean at our first entrance nor through our stay ..
We stayed 6 days, every two days the air conditioner was getting out of srvice due to a general problem at the 'system' as they told us ..
Everyday we were begging them to bring us our daily water and the toilet paper !!

I booked 2 rooms for one night while I was driving from Bursa. However, i called the hotel to postpone my reservation for one night as my car got broken. They said ok, but they were lying. After 5 hours they sent me an email saying we will charge you extra night. I tried to explain that the man who answered my call agreed to do that, and it was not in my control. They said it was a misunderstanding and they have to charge me again full amount.

They have no humanity. They don’t care whatever happen to their guests. They just want to make easy money.

I’ll never visit this hotel

A really romantic stay with the professionalisms

One of the best hotels in Town,starting from location,cleanliness, decoration,breakfast and staff.
We did indeed enjoyed walking to the beach which is 100m from the hotel also there is restaurants and cafes in walking distance but the most important thing was the staff services , thank you gentlemen and keep it up 🌹👍👍👍

OUTDOOR POOL - NOT IN USE

It is a very good Hotel and the service is excellent.
My disappointment as my previous message, was that I booked this Hotel, being 30 degrees heat plus. I wished to use their outdoor swimming pool. Sadly the day I arrived they informed me that it was end of season and the pool was not to be used. It was full of water and looked delightful, but I could not use it. I would of stayed in a less expensive hotel, if I had of been aware.

OUTDOOR POOL?

I could not fault this lovely Hotel, staff good and the Hotel and room very clean and comfortable.
My problem being, that I decided to book this Hotel, as it has an outdoor swimming pool. The temperature being in 30 C. The pool was not for use,end of season, but it was still full of water, so this was a huge disappointment. They should inform people if a cut off season for use of pool.

the hotel is old with no maintenance especially the WC.
not really clean
lots of people and the hotel is not sound prove.
I asked to have the Plug adapter they don't give unless you buy it with 25 lira which is 5X the regular price?? they should make this available and may ask for deposits while returning.

I think there is another hotel nearby is new and 5*

This was my first trip to Turkey. I didn't know what to expect, yet the room was way beyond my expectations. It was beautifully furnished and had a wonderful view of the water. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and most spoke enough English to make communication easy. The breakfast buffet was beyond amazing! Ten times the food selection that you'd find at a typical U.S. hotel. I can't recommend the Wellborn strongly enough!

the rooftop Irish pub doesn't sell Guinness or Murphy's on tap? My room with a sea view had one if you went to the furthest point of the window and stood on your toes! Other than that it was great. Friendly staff and clean and tidy.

NICE HOTEL BUT ONLY GOOD FOR BUSINESS TRAVELLERS

I cannot fault this hotel about anything. The staff are brilliant, the service is outstanding, the hotel is spotless and amazingly beautiful. The sea and mountain views are breathtaking.

We had gone to Izmit area only because my niece is at Kocaeli University and we had planned to visit him as a surprise. However after 2 days at this lovely place we had to cancel- it was too quiet for our liking.

The duty manager was very helpful and understanding.

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Izmit on business..

Tha hotel was terrible. I asked a dinner and I ordered 2 plates and I asked them to have bread also. but they didn't bring any bread even salt and pepper. I called the reception and asked them to talk with their manager. I talked with the security manager he apologised but I was expecting to have a fruit plate for showing that they really care. Nothing sent. My second day when I was going out somewhere I told them I don't want anyone enter my room because there was not any DND card in the room. When I came back I saw that they entered to check the minibar. This unkindless happened in a 5stars hotel. The day I checked out many friends of mine asked me about the hotel if I recommend it and I said don't go there to all. Hope I won't have such a problems in my other trips that made reservated by Expedia. My first time was a disappointment.

Quiet and peaceful during our visit.

Enjoyed our stay. Spa was nice and very clean. Bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. Front desk staff were helpful and addressed any issues we had promptly and professionally. Restaurant staff were friendly and food was very tasty. Overall, a very pleasurable stay. Good for a weekend peaceful weekend getaway.

All stuff tried to help me with little English. Of course I am in thier home land I should not expect perfect English speakers. However they helped me with every thing I wanted it. The view by the pool is to die for. If you are bored walk by the sea front and it's only one minute walk from the hotel. I had a car every thing was near me. If you either choose sea view room or mountain both have thier own feels. I highly recommended it. Don't expect great food but it can be ok.

We didn't expect to find any good hotels in the area. When we arrived, we were slightly shocked to see a very nice lobby hall made with a luxurious touch. The front desk is very welcoming. We were invited to try refreshing shots made of orange and tomato juices straight away when we entered. The staff was eager to help, they were smiley and very hospitable. This hotel is worth the value you pay for. I actually thought it is rather cheap when you compare to the hotels of this quality in Europe. Rooms are clean and big, bathrooms are made of granite, iron is supplied. Minibar has a good choice and is not overpriced like in the most hotels. Complimentary still water is supplied every day in a room. Cleaning is up to a standard. The spa centre is good. The outside pool is clean and big enough. The only problem we had was the staff who can barely speak English. Everyone except the front desk staff cannot understand you properly, so sometimes you will need to use a pen and paper :) Our little recommendation would be to work on the menu at the bar/lobby. The food choice is rather boring and not too healthy. I wish they also had a kebab to offer at the lobby restaurant. The restaurant on the fifth floor has an amazing view and the food is tasty. Service is prompt. Breakfasts are free of charge and included into the price. You have everything you need for breakfast: a great choice of fruit, bakery, hot dishes (including fried eggs, omelettes), sauces, fresh vigies, cheese, etc. We were leaving early in the morning it meant that we had to miss breakfast. We checked out and were kindly provided with a packed lunch, although didn't know of its existence. To sum up: we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and we wouldi like to wish the hotel's team all the best in their future business! Thank you all for making our stay comfortable.

Unfortunately I only stayed the one night on business, but I did get to use virtually all the Hotel had to offer from the Spa facilities. The food was excellent and breakfast set me up just right for the day ahead. This hotel was only completed in December but will be a hit with anybody looking for service and excellence.

Biz bir gece suit odada konakladık ve oda mükemmeldi. Yatak o kadar rahattı ki sanki bulutlarda uyduk. Kahvaltı 5 yıldız otel gibi değildi. Özellikle biz kaç gün önce bir 4 yıldız otelde kaldık ve kahvaltısı daha iyiydi. Maalesef bar tadilat durumdaydı ve her şeyi lobbydaki bardan sipariş edebiliriz söylediler ama çok eksik vardı hem içeceklerde hem yemeklerde. Oda ile ilgili bazı sıkıntılar yaşadık; önemli olan oda sıcak olmuyordu ve duşta su da ılıktı. Sonra dediler ki merkezden arttıracağızlar. Çalışanlar harikaydı. Genelde iyiydi ama 5 yıldız otel servisi almadık.
