Very comfortable hotel with good location in HCMC, nice clean rooms with good beds.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the WiFi was unstable and kept falling out, very frustrating, not adequate for a 4 star hotel, so I have to deduct a point for that.
The breakfast was good but the bread was poor, bland and tasteless, there is much nicer bread available in Saigon than this so Eden Star Hotel should try changing the baker, deduct 0,5 points for that, so 3,5 out of 5

Room was spotless and cleaned thoroughly each day by our cleaner Duyen. She looked after us and granted small extra requests like extra shower caps. Buffet was good, fresh eggs were a highlight. Croissants were not the best. Front desk staff were very helpful and easy to talk with. Thank you for a lovely stay!

As soon as we arrived we were treated like royalty. The service was amazing. The property is in a quiet street but also very close to everything. 10 mins walking in any direction will take you to an attraction. The roof top pool was also a highlight and definitely needed after a day walking around in the heat. The service in the pool / bar area was top notch. The food was also great with options for vietnamese or western available. Some people say that the rooms were a bit dates but we didn't really notice. Would definitely recommend.

We've been to this hotel several times. The rooms are nice and clean equipped with everything.
The pool area is nice but sometimes crowded with noisy people and kids. Sun loungers too close to one another. Music list is on repeat, after 4 hours we knew all the songs and the lyrics. Breakfast is nice with lots of choices.

More convenient than expected

This is the second time we visited HCMC and the second staying at Eden Star. Last trip we did more tourist things. This time we experienced the city. So convenient for food, cafes, bars, clubs. The staff are friendly and the rooms cleaned to a high standard. Will probably come a third time.

We were very impressed with the attention of staff to our needs from our welcome at the door to our dining experience in the roof top restaurant. In particular the front office manager, Le Phung Thinh made himself available to assist in our check in /out which we really appreciated after another hotel nearby did not meet our expectations. Our room was quiet & clean. District 1 is accessible by foot to many of HCM’s sites of interest. We enjoyed drinks poolside on the rooftop where there is an excellent view of the city. We considered this stay a very good value.

I booked the hotel on a last whim and was extremely happy. The room was nice and quiet for HCMC which was a lovely surprise as the traffic can be crazy and loud.
The staff are welcoming and helpful. We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay and would definitely book again.
Breakfast is a variety and the pool is beautiful, could not be happier with the area in HCMC, very close to everything.

We originally booked the largest room, which was the family suite that sleeps 3 people, with one double bed and one twin bed. Instead we were given the smaller room, which only had one double bed. They gave us a TEMPORARY FOLDED twin bed, a SMALLER room, and wanted to charge us EXTRA since we had three people, rather than two. The receptionist said if we were unhappy with our room we needed to cancel our reservation. Her attitude was poor and unhelpful. I have already reserved the same original room months ago, the 517 sq ft family suite, for a future stay on October 4-6. Expedia needs to correct this and make sure this hotel gives us our correct accommodation for our future stay. Writing this to warn people in case the hotel ends up changing your reservation also, and have the same thing happen to other future guests.

I’ve already left a review on another platform but what the heck, this motel is terrific. We have had a very pleasant stay and will be leaving soon. Restaurant is 5/5,
Leon and the other staff were first class. Food was magnificent, cooked to perfection.
Breakfast caters for such wide range of guests 5/5.
Khanh in the cafe remember our preferred drinks and was a joy to speak to. 5/5
The reception staff and doorman were very attentive with Viktor and Kabi being super helpful even loading the Grab (Uber) app on my phone. 5/5

Breakfast buffet is very limited and caters more to locals and Indians than foreigners. Hazelnut coffee is the Only coffee available. Want Americano, must pay more!. Restaurant is too expensive for what they offer. Burger and drink is $20 compared to $3.everywhwee else, and tastes like rubber! Was not impressed and would not go back!

Great welcome on arrival. Very quickly into room. Location is great, easily walkable to main attractions but without being too central. Nice pool area on rooftop that was never too busy, with very good waiter service from restaurant also on rooftop. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the lunch/dinner restaurant quality (average) and price (high). The breakfast was pretty good though. All in all a very enjoyable and comfortable stay and i would happily recommend to others.

Amazing Hotel But Even Better Staff

Amazing stay in every sense!!!! If I could give more than five stars for the service I would. The staff at this hotel are amazing and nothing is a problem to them. During my stay I had an issue with the bath tap. Within minutes, the night manager had found us an upgraded room, moved our belongings and ensured there was a fresh fruit platter in the room. I have stayed at many hotels although you would struggle to find better service than offered at this hotel! I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting HCMC!!! The location is central to all District 1 has to offer and the hotel clean and modern. Thank you staff at Eden Star, especially Night Manager John for making our stay an enjoyable one.

We stayed here the last night and they permitted us late checkout at 2 pm and the use of the pool for the whole day after checkout. Access to beer included in price of room. John and Mrs Lam were very nice to extend these services. The room was nice, coffee in room. Breakfast was good with good variety. Location was good in District 1. They also kept our luggage after checkout. Pool was quite large rooftop with ramp for the pool and lots of chairs to sit or lie. There was also a poolside bar with good drinks. I would stay here again.

The hotel is convenient located in District 1, within a walkable distance to Ben Tanh but not that close so that the streets are relatively peaceful.

There is a stall around the corner that serves “perfume lemon” tea that was quite unique and delicious. Expect a queue.

The Eden Star Saigon is positioned close to all the tourist locations, most walkable within 20 minutes or a few minutes by Grab. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful with local knowledge and directing me to a local place for a SIM card. They also packed me an early morning breakfast as my departure was just before the dining room opened.
