I liked the place. Breakfast had 10 different cake choices. Eggs, ham, yougurt.... I guess minor complain that in December room was a bit too warm to sleep and I could not get ac working to cool it off a couple of degrees. May I did not do it right. But opening window solved the problem

The staff were very friendly and helpful! It was a decent walking proximity to poetta beach (20-30 minutes) and a short walk to various cafes and restaurants. Parking was also free which was nice.

Cons - There was only 1 charger in the room, on the complete opposite side of the beds which was inconvenient. We also did not love how the hotel/hotels.com charged us extra for a 2nd person, even though the room is meant for 2 people (queen bed, advertised for 2 people) yet we had to pay an extra 35 euros a night.

We were to have breakfast included and we didn't get it. We were charged for a glass of ice!
The bathroom didn't have any storage. The room didn't have enough storage for a 2 week stay.

The Best Hotel Residence Italia is a great option if you're planning on visiting Cagliari and Quartu Sant Elena, or even for a stop over before moving on to other places in sout east Sardinia. It's super close to the Poetto beach, you can either walk there (15 minutes) and see the beatiful flamingos in the lagoon or take a bus (bus stop across the street) and get there in less than 3 minutes. The hotel is modern and clean. Our room was spacious and spotless as well as super quiet. There are many didining options within walking distance, and the breakfast buffet was great! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back :)

So the hotel was fine.
Clean and staff were great.
However for me, in room 205, it was noisy and that wasn’t outside the room, the toilet and shower of the room above and next door I could hear, infact at one point I thought the toilet above was feeding into mine- it wasn’t.
The mini fridge was also really loud.

I was a lone traveller and walked the neighbourhood to see what was about and felt quite uncomfortable there. There is shops and restaurants but they are not obvious.
I wouldn’t stay there again.

We loved our stay at this hotel which was a family holiday for 8 days. We booked two of the larger rooms (one double one single in each) as we were four (parents and children aged 19,21). The rooms were great with one of them semi divided down the middle. We could see the biggest rooms could take a family of 4 with younger children and those had the balcony. The hotel price is good - much less than central Calagari and with a car we had easy access to the city with a 15 min drive. The beach was 2 mins drive or 15-20 mins walk and was a nice beach with some restaurants. Other nicer beaches to the east were 20 mins drive which were good for snorkelling. There were restaurants nearby but we preferred to drive to the city and eat there most days. We visited a small winery town one day (Serdiana) and did a mountains walk. The hotel doesn’t have great views but not a big issue - it was quiet and the hotel had feee parking. The aircon was fine although we never had really hot weather. It may have struggled more in 36-40c. The staff were very helpful and room service great- all very clean. The breakfast we only had one day - it was fine but we didn’t want much so found a nice place opposite that did coffee and pastries for a good price. Most restaurants are good prices for pizza / pasta unless you go very fancy. Drinks are quite cheap and ice creams. As a UK family it was nice to go somewhere not so populated with Brits. The mini bar was useful as a fridge. Thank you Best Western!

Impeccable Stay--great location & hospitality.

Hospitality was on point--receptionist helped us book our airport taxi, recommended some great eats.

Location was sublime--15 mins walk to Poetto beach, 5 mins walk to a grocery store, lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby, plus near many bus stations as well.

One criticism from me is the hotel creaks and have a lot of sounds, i.e neighbour flushing, clanking in vents/walls, etc. I am a heavy sleeper so no issue for me but may pose a problem to light sleepers.

Overall 9/10 stay, would stay again.

Staff at the hotel were really helpful. Room was large and comfortable. Parking is available at the hotel and plenty of spaces across the road etc. Beach and nature reserve both a short walk and there are a few nice restaurants within a 10 mins walk but is worth booking in advance.
Breakfast is a bit more limited in choice compared to a lot of other hotels and the hotel/rooms feel a little dated. The common areas were being painted during my stay.

There should be more information and advice available for visitors about local shops, restaurants, bars etc. near the hotel and Poetto beach, as restaurants and bars were difficult to find. There could also be more information on how to get to the main Cagliari city centre, and what you can find there, so that visitors are not restricted to limited options in Poetto.

Hotel is very dated. About a ten minute walk from the main street where there are restaurants and bars. There is a pizza place around the corner that was fantastic, but not too much directly by the hotel. Staffing was very sweet and attentive. Room is very dated, but is a good size. This is a clean and very well run hotel with a generous breakfast. Please be aware that it is located in a suburb of Cagliari. It is near a beach area and nature reserve but without a car would be rather isolated and in a dull neighbourhood.

We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel was easy to find with off street car parking. The staff were friendly and spoke English and provided and excellent service. The hotel was clean and the rooms were clean, had a small safe, tea making facilities, small balcony, cooker, good wifi. The only negative comment was with the plumbing of the rooms above, the concealed waste pipes travelled through the bathroom and the noise of the water passing through the pipes could be heard throughout the night as other guests used their facilities. The breakfast was good and offered hot food in addition to the continental breakfast. The main beach was approximately a 10 minute walk passing flamingo's on the way.

Bearly 3 star hotel. Very clean, but nothing else. Hotel is bit far from everything. It is about 2.5 km from beach, from sea but the best points at Poetto beach are more far located. It is 2 bus change from Cagliari citi center. My recomendation is to stay somewhere in centar of cagliari and then it is more easy to catch bus for poetto. There is numerus line to poetto. Especially becous you will not go to poetto every day.

We had breakfast every morning, great selection and good coffee, the two ladies working at breakfast while we were there were fantastic, happy and friendly always. We were happy with the hotel but direct area not the best.
We were charged for our safe key after giving a deposit, which was debited instead of credited, which was taken off What we had paid. So we actually didn't get it back at all. This was annoying as it made us short for the taxi. In the room it says tea and coffee are free 24 hours, but we were then charged for them.
The staff were polite and friendly but the rules are very misleading. We ended up paying 30.90 euros for what was said to be free. 15.00 for the safe and 15.90 for tea and coffee. this needs to be looked at.

Great hotel in Quartu S'Elena with great room, service and free parking; the hotel and staff can't be faulted, the room are very spacious, rooms are set up as self contained studios with day and night areas. The bed is very comfortable, area is quiet during the evening.

Hotel staff is very friendly and available to provide assistance if needed.

Go with the buffet breakfast option, there's a great choice of pastries, cold meats, cheese and fresh fruit.

This is a reasonably priced hotel within 15 m (car) of the centre of Cagliari. Facilities ok and in good condition , appropriate for a 3 star hotel. Neighborhood requires some exploration but worth it. Hotel could do more by having better qulity maps of area than a rather poorly printed copy. Found good restaurants in locality that were equal of those without travel to city centre. Would stay here again.

An overall acceptable experience given this is a 3 star property. Staff are courteous enough, some make the extra effort. Pity that the experience which was otherwise pleasant was spoilt by the refusal at reception to credit me the BW Reward points, because I had booked via Expedia. After a phone call to Expedia, they called the Hotel, and I threatened to call BW HQ, the Manager agreed to credit my points and a \"Goodwill\". Given that I am a Diamond level member, giving them approx 50 nights a year, there should have been no \"Goodwill effort\" required. For the rest, all ok. Location needs a lot of walking, as it's not central to anything. Taxis are expensive, and they charge from wherever they start to come pick you up. Take care, another thing the hotel could help avoid, or at least tell us about. They are good at sticking to the rules, but superficial in their customer relations. Apart from two individuals who actually demonstrate a clear willingness to make a difference.

Excellent motel; especially if you rent a car

The room was excellent, with immaculate cleanliness, better than most other motels of its class . The breakfast was also great, much more than the usual continental breakfast. The only problems we encountered were that the wireless internet did not work, and apparently all movies in the TV were pay-per-view (but news programs are free). The staff is helpful, and available any time. The motel is located in a suburb, at walking distance (about a mile) from the nearest beach. On the other hand, to easily reach Cagliari, it is advisable to rent a car.

Wonderful stay!

Wow,we had an amazing time with our family, the hotel was nice, clean, the staff was helpful and we really enjoyed our stay here. This hotel is not in Cagliari so I only recommend it if you have a car. We wanted a peaceful vacation away from the city and found it here. The closest beach Poetto is about a mile away. We only went to it once during the day and spent time at night having really good food right by the beach. You can also rent some fun family bicycles at the beach. We spent most of our time exploring the island, to the east you have the amazing beaches in villasimius which is 45 mins from the hotel. We also went to the breath taking beaches in Chia on the west side also within an hour from the hotel. You can find crystal clear beaches 15 mins east from the hotel on your way to villasimius. The price of the hotel was excellent, breakfast was super yummy, they had a little bit of everything and even make you delicious cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, etc. our first night wasn't the greatest, our room asnt ready when we checked in and the Internet wasn't working but the next 4 days were the complete opposite. We'll be staying here in e future, highly recommended.

We had to be moved by hotel staff when we discovered the air conditioner didn't work, but everything worked out in the end. I would suggest renting a car if staying here (the driving on the island isn't too bad). The parking is free at the hotel and free or cheap at all other locations (including the beach).

We requested a 3 bed family as it was a stop over from the airport to our final destination. We were pleasantly surprised as we had been allocated a unit which comprised two rooms. A double room and a room with twin beds, a seating area with table and chairs and a mini kitchen area. All areas were very clean and the linked bathroom was very clean with plenty of towels, complimentary bath products and hairdryer.
Sky TV was also provided.
Breakfast was 'Continental Style' with a selection of cereals, bread, pastries and conserves. Fruit, eggs, cold meat and cheese were also available.Tea, coffee and juices were replenished on a rolling basis
A little way out of Cagliari, but not too far from the beach, which was very popular with the locals. - Need to get there early at a weekend.

I moved to this hotel after checking into a hotel in the center. The hotel in the center was twice the price, charged for internet service, but had no wifi reception in the rooms.

Too Far From Beach or Cagliari

Staff, condition of the room, cleaniness of the hotel were all fine. Hotel itself is nice. But is way too far from anything. The immediate area was boring with nothing to offer. All stores closed around sunset and it was boring. The beach is supposedly a kilometre but that was not true more like a mile and a half - at least. Cagliari was 7-8 kilometres but was at least a 50 minute bus ride on a bus that did not come that often. If all you want to do is stay in ahotel in Italy this is the place to go otherwise stay somehwere more local to enjoy Sardina's beautiful beaches, and Cagliari's exciting port life.

Best Western hotel (hotel Italia) in Quartu S.E.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western hotel in Quartu Sant Elena, which had nice (English speaking) staff, clean rooms and a pretty good breakfast.

Note that this hotel is not in Cagliari, but in it's neighbor town Quartu Sant Elena. For us, this was an advantage, since getting out of town by car was a lot faster from here, even more since the hotel is close to one of the main roads out of town.
The disadvantage is that the neighborhood of the hotel is not very interesting; hardly any bars or restaurants and no sights. So if you want to visit a different restaurant every day, you have to combine that with your day activity (which is not a problem if you have your own car).

All in all a good hotel!

Sehr gutes Hotel, in gutem Zustand. Nicht ganz modern aber sehr gepflegt und sehr ordentlich eingerichtet. Parkplätze vor Ort. Eine kleine Bar vorhanden. Großzügige Zimmer und sehr freundliches Personal.
