This was our first trip to the Amalfi Coast and we are so happy that we chose Hotel Belvedere in Conca dei Marini. It is just outside the city of Amalfi - about a 10 minute car ride- and a world away from the hectic city atmosphere. It is built into the cliff and has an old world charm that is indescribable.

The staff is warm and welcoming.
The rooms are crisp, clean and well air-conditioned . We had a lovely terrace with a gorgeous view of both cliffs and ocean. The pool is several flights down by elevator and right on the cliff with a swim pad to access the ocean a few staircases below.

We ate every breakfast there and if you have the option to include it with your room, I highly recommend it. Not only do they have delicious homemade pastries and fresh fruit but eggs, bacon and Italian cold cuts . Something for everyone. Also, there is no where else nearby to get breakfast as you are on a coastal road rather than a town.
They serve a magnificent dinner as well, with a different menu each night. You can choose between a price fixed 3 course meal or an Al a carte menu. The staff caters to you, remembering your preferences. I can say that I have never felt so well cared for in any hotel I have stayed. We celebrated our 40th anniversary there and they made sure that it was a perfect evening.
If you are looking for a special, quiet, romantic get away- this is the spot.

The hotel was amazing and our jr suite had amazing views of rhe sea from different directions. The staff made it feel even more comforting with Family own feel, which it is. Definitely worth the experience! Ladies, only one flaw from my wife's perspective is that there was no hair conditioners available. Otherwise no other complaints.

Beautiful hotel. The best part is the pool overlooking the water - just ridiculous. Our room was a standard room so pretty small. Air conditioning barely worked. Shuttle to downtown amalfi only worked through 4pm. After that, they charged 80 euros to go 2 km, which can totally add up. The private car from nearby cities is way too expensive, better option is taking the ferries and trying Uber from the pier to avoid an hour long arduous walk. Probably would not stay here again.

The hotel itself is very well located, and the shuttle to Amalfi is very convenient- 5 euros per person each way. The pool area and breakfast are a highlight- the rooms are a bit small and dated, but the bathrooms and water pressure are good. The front desk service and management is what is really lacking- I would not stay here again or recommend the hotel for that reason. They made a mistake on our bill that didn't come to light until after checking out and leaving for the airport. Instead of contacting us, they decided to hassle our friends who also stayed at the hotel to pay the difference without our knowledge of what was going on. Extremely unprofessional, and frankly embarrassing for what is supposed to be a 4 star hotel.

Great location right outside Amalfi proper. I actually think this is best location because of views etc. Transportation is a bit difficult in the area in general. Breakfasts were amazing. Dinner was good but nothing to write home about. Some great food options in area if you do research. Hotel has all the things you want, views, safety, pool, bar, etc. Rooms were a little out dated but I think this comes with the territory. Beds are 6/10 comfort level.

This beautiful hotel with wonderful views hasn’t learned about 21st century and amenities that are standard in a hotel - miniature safe that does not work, small screen tv that dos not work - bathroom has no facial tissue or kleenex, no body lotion, no conditioner. Bedding has no duvet or comforter, just old fashioned sheets and spread, lovely as they are, very flat pillows from whenever. Fortunately, great wifi and upgraded showers.

Such an amazing hotel. Dinner staff was fantastic. Reception was amazing and able to help arrange anything! Shuttle transportation low cost way to get back and forth from Amalfi. The staff were so very accommodating. Location is beautiful. However expect a lot of stairs or transport if you want to explore the area.

Our stay was wonderful - gorgeous grounds and view from the balcony. The staff was excellent. Using the saltwater pool in the afternoon was great, by elevator or steps. The "beach" is a concrete platform you can get into the sea if you're adventurous. Shuttle to village was OK though driving more convenient. There are restaurants and a beach that are walkable but lots of steps up or down. We'd go back.

The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful figuring out how to navigate to and from our excursions. Great location, it felt peaceful and isolated from the busy areas, but still less than 15 minutes from Amalfi town.

Hotel Belvedere was perfect. Location is ideal and the hotel shuttle to and from Amalfi make getting around super easy. The staff was amazing. Always available to help and offer suggestions. The dinner service was perfect with spectacular views. All spaces are roomy and bright. Our Jr Suite balcony offered great views to watch boats sail by. The complimentary breakfast was a perfect way to start each day. We can’t wait to return to Hotel Belvedere!

Located 15-20 mins outside Analfi, you either take a busy bus into town or hotel offer a shuttle service - this is 3 times more expensive than the bus and only drops off, would have hoped it could offer pick ups too. Property has a great pool and is right on cliff edge with fab views. It is traditionally decorated / lined by king tired and staff have a very formal approach - many are friendly but did meet a few with a poor / rude attitude. Breakfast was basic - really not sure why all fruit couldn’t be fresh rather than tinned, pastries weren’t as tasty as previous hotel we stayed in on the coast. Many older people - a few had been coming back for several years - whilst loyalty needs recognising we found certain people were treated better than others - staff reserving sinners and tables in restaurant for example - hotel should adopt a more consistent and fair approach and treat all customers well. Think faulty towers.

We absolutely LOVED staying at Hotel Belvedere. They offer an onsite breakfast buffet that you can have on the terrace overlooking the water. Great way to start each morning!
They also offer a shuttle to and from Amalfi (costs 5 Euro per person and you have to schedule it at the front desk - but trust me - it’s WAY better and more convenient than taking the bus or a taxi!) However, there is no shuttle to Positano, so if you are headed there, you’ll have to do a taxi, the bus, or go to Amalfi and then take the ferry to Positano). The front desk staff was extremely helpful in helping us navigate all of our options!
The pool area is serene and there are even stairs down to a private swimming area wheee you can dip in the sea or sit on pool chairs and relax! There is snack and drink service at the pool and plenty of chair. The pool has a breathtaking view of the sea as well.
Our room was very spacious, clean, and had a fantastic view. The water pressure in the shower was HEAVEN!
There are nearby restaurants, but you will have to take a walk up or down the stairs. The views are gorgeous, so we just took our time. There is also a bar and restaurant on site.
If you are looking to visit the Amalfi Coast, but not stay in the overcrowded towns of Positano and Amalfi - I’d definitely recommend this hotel. We could go in and shop in Amalfi, and then retreat to our own little hideaway at Hotel Belvedere. Perfection!

We stayed here for 2 nights in August for our anniversary and it was beyond perfect for us. The front desk personnel were so friendly and helpful booking our dinner reservation for the same evening when I emailed them on our way because I had forgotten to do it earlier. The pictures on the website are beautiful but don't even do it justice. The hotel sits up on a cliff on a point so the views are spectacular. I got up every morning to watch the sun rise from our balcony. The pool was also wonderful but we spent most of our time on the "rocky beach" which is a platform down A LOT of steps but you can dive right into the clear, welcoming water. Dinner was an experience to remember with the experienced waitstaff serving an amazing dinner - I had a local fish that was de-boned and skinned right at the table in a matter of minutes. The breakfast also is not to be missed with all the fresh fruit and delicious dishes served on the terrace over looking the sea. We cannot say enough about the people who work there, it is obvious they take pride in their work and love not only what they do but where they live. There is also a shuttle to take you to Amalfi and a very user friendly bus schedule. We were in Europe for the Olympics and tacked this on to the end of our trip, but it is most definitely a highlight and the place I go to in my memories when I want to escape. As one of the other guests told us at breakfast one morning, we WILL be back...already planning for 2025.

Amazing property to stay at. It is few minutes of driving from the main city part, but once you stay there, there is no need for you to go anywhere. The staff provides excellent service (front desk and pool staff) and their dining restaurant is top quality. The gentleman that leads the restaurant staff is genuine and friendly and makes the difference in your dining experience. We just ate there every meal. The room had an amazing view that you could not get tired of. The gentleman that drives the van for the hotel was also amazing. Navigating the Amalfi coast roads are not an easy thing to do and he was excellent at it! Overall, we will go back the first chance we get and will stay at this resort the entire time. Five star service!!!

The location and staff are amazing!

The staff is very professional, kind and ready to help at anytime. The staff in the restaurant knew our names and coffee order for our second breakfast. The breakfast spread is great! A lot of variety of both food and drinks, and the views from the balcony are amazing!

The room we had included a patio with an amazing 180 degree view of the ocean. The room and bed (7.5/10) are a bit dated (including the bathroom) but the it was a great size, which made us feel more comfortable and not cramped. We wish the AC worked better. Even on the lowest setting, it blew slightly warm/cool air, but not cold.

Honeymoon Amalfi Trip

Hotel is beautifully located between Positano and Amalfi.
Pros: double room was clean and balcony view was fenomenal. Pool area is nice. Staff was professional, friendly, helpful when we needed assistance or had questions. There is a shuttle from hotel to Amalfi (4 euros each person). Bus stop (SITA) right outside hotel. Breakfast was lovely each morning, staff is really attentive and food is good with good variety. They also serve lunch and dinner (all extra charge) and the food was also great with superb service.

Cons: Double Room was small but the view from balcony made it so worth it. Beds were two twin beds put together which was a bit strange, not the most comfortable but doable for 3 nights. Wifi is terrible inside the room. But stronger in the main lobby.

Overall Thank you for a lovely stay, we really appreciated the in-room welcome bubbly when we first arrived. Our honeymoon trip started with a high note because of Hotel Belvedere.

We stayed 3 night at Hotel Belvedere and enjoyed every minute starting from the reception where Paula is an excellent host. The room, pool, restaurant, all the amenities simply are excellent. Pool is perfect with sea water circulating and plenty of very comfortable sun beds. And breakfasts and dinners deserve a special review - the food variety, the Waiters (yes, with capital), you should see and try. The only drawback is there is nothing to do around. Amalfi is 10 min drive and hotel provides shuttle per your request, but you can spend a day in Amalfi (as we did) and have no interest in coming back. So, we stayed in the hotel and enjoyed our time relaxing by the pool, tasting food and wine. If I ever come back to Amalfi Coast, I would stay in Hotel Belvedere again.

We recently stayed at this hotel on the Amalfi Coast, and while the property boasts stunning views and beautiful interior floor tiles, our experience was mixed. The on-site restaurant was decent, and the shuttle service to Amalfi was convenient. However, there were significant downsides. The WiFi was unreliable, which is a concern for remote workers, and the food lacked flavor. Our room needed thorough cleaning and mold treatment, and the beds were uncomfortable. The parking was excellent, a rarity in the area, and the bar area was enjoyable. The staff were helpful with excursion bookings, but I was disappointed by their lack of empathy when we had to cut our trip short due to my mother's hospitalization. Despite notifying them four days before checkout, we received a cold response regarding refunds. Overall, while the hotel has potential, it fell short compared to others in the region.

Our stay at Hotel Belvedere was truly unforgettable! The staff members were amazing, especially Fabio at the front desk, the bartender, and the two shuttle drivers. They were some of the sweetest people we've met on this trip, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Staying at a hotel away from the touristy areas was a refreshing experience, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. And the view from our room? Absolutely to die for!

If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend Hotel Belvedere. Also, make sure to dine at La Bontà del Capo. The owner picks you up from the hotel and drives you to the restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious food with a spectacular view. It was definitely worth it!

We will definitely be coming back to hotel Belvedere in the future!

Wonderful hotel in amazing location. Astonishing views. This hotel is a gem, and the service is exceptional. Old fashioned but extraordinarily well kept, with a great pool and access to the sea. An oasis in the coast but with easy access to Amalfi via a shuttle. The restaurant is very good, a good dinner option if don’t want to drive. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking Amalfi and the coast is a unique experience. Incredible value. We’ll be back.

The hotel is an old classic that has been extremely well maintained. You can’t go into it expecting modern amenities. The views are magnificent. The salt water pool is really nice but the old lounge chairs are uncomfortable. Our room was clean and AC worked great. The breakfast not so good. My wife’s vegetables had mold on them. The milk for our coffee curdled like it was old.
Lessons learned:: There are no side walks on the main road so you cannot walk anywhere. The bus stop is right out front but the buses were often completely full and the timetables vary by day and stop around 10pm. Taxis to anywhere cost a minimum of $60 one way. Rent a Vespa if you are brave enough and don’t drink alcohol.

This hotel is amazing from the minute you arrive until you leave. Staff are friendly and extremely friendly and knowledgeable, they will help you with anything you may want or to do. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with plenty of storage. Breakfast is pretty standard and changes little each day but was to a high standard and plentiful.
The views during breakfast are amazing!

All in all we loved our stay here but please be aware that there aren’t really any accessible restaurants nearby and unless you’re half-board Amalfi town is the only real choice.
Suggestions for hotel: extend the mini bus running times down to Amalfi to at least 6/6.30pm - 4.30 is too early.
Please put tea/coffee in the rooms. It’s a nice thing to be able to sit on the balcony with and is something that is really missing from the room.

This is a beautiful hotel located in a beautiful area of Amalfi coast away from crowds of tourists. The provide shuttle which can take you to Amalfi city. There are stairs right next to the hotel which can take down to the beach and great restaurants (Risorgimento) or you can walk up the hill. These walks are amazing and take you through small beautiful villages.The views from the hotel property are stunning. The staff was great and very helpful, eager to answer any questions and resolve any situations with a smile and knowledge. We liked the breakfast, breakfast area - beautiful, breakfast staff - amazing. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

An Amalfi Coast Must-Stay

My fiancée and I had a magical time in Hotel Belvedere, nestled in Conca dei Marini. We loved this place because 1) it’s between both Amalfi (15 min drive from the town) and Positano (25 min drive) and 2) they have a shuttle service that runs every 15 minutes to and from Amalfi, making it super convenient if you want a location on the Amalfi Coast that is NOT overrun by tourists. I would avoid staying Positano or Amalfi proper as both locations are uncomfortable tourist traps (hard to even walk among the people). Hotel Belvedere was serene with breathtaking cliff-drop ocean views from most rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the food is PHENOMENAL. I recommend their restaurant for dinner, even if you aren’t staying there.

The view is breathtaking from all the rooms and the SITA bus stops in front of the hotel going both ways. However, the noise from the restaurant upstairs. Eing prepared for breakfast with rolling carts, tables moving around, kitchen noise wakes you from any morning sleep.

The Hotel Belvedere was a dream. Like stepping into a 1960s postcard of vintage Amalfi with all the modern amenities. We aren’t the type of travelers to spend much time at the hotel, but I could have been there for 72 consecutive hours without complaint. The staff was incredibly charming. Like a cast of characters from a different time. The pool area didn’t even feel real it was so beautiful. We loved watching sunrises and sunsets from our lovely balcony.

From breakfast on the terrace, to lunch by the pool, and our beautifully plated four-course dinners: THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. Do not miss out on the absolute *experience* that is dining at the Hotel Belvedere.

Also don’t miss out on winding down their beautiful mosaic stairways for a plunge in the Tyyhenrian Sea.

Skip the crowds of Amalfi and the prices of Positano and stay at the Hotel Belvedere. It’s really a special place.

We loved Hotel Belvedere. Great location between Amalfi and Praiano. Staying at Hotel Belvedere was like going back in time. The 21st century has not arrived yet, but that was a positive for us. The room was great, meals were very good, and the staff was wonderful. Top notch at a very reasonable price.

This is one of the most beautiful and serene hotels I have ever stayed in. It is not for young people who want a party atmosphere, but for sophisticated adults that want to relax. The food is simply exquisite. The staff is experienced and makes the stay such a pleasure. The pool is beautiful, view is amazing. Room amenities are very luxurious.

No AC was available because they had the heater on. the problem is that many people smoke in Italy and the smoke fumes were driving us nuts. The hotel is run down and many lights were out in the hallway. It's a shame because it has nice views and could be a very nice hotel. The staff that serves also attends the front desk, etc. Seem to be short staffed. Lastly, the mini fridge is paid separately as it's' another vendor and so is the shuttle into town and $10 eu to use the pool. We will find another option when we return in the fall.

Hotel Belvedere was exquisite! It is full of old world charm, with all the bells and whistles of a modern 4 star hotel.

The staff was helpful, welcoming and warm. The food for breakfast was the biggest spread of options we had seen in all the hotels we stayed during our trip. The dinner was also exceptional and for an outstanding price you could get a full-course meal.

The pool was our absolute favorite, through what looked like a secret tunnel to a relaxing oasis. The pool is filled with the water from the sea which was a delightful surprise too.

We hope to return!

Stayed in a suite for two nights. The staff were welcoming upon arrival. The room was very noisy with poor soundproofing. We could hear the conversations of the guests and pets in the next door room. Dining options were limited. Bed was comfortable and the shower was warm, not hot. Wi-Fi was a little slow. Breakfast selection was great and the pool area was lovely. The hotel has a shuttle service to Amalfi which came in handy.

Lovely hotel, a bit old school. Great pool and pool side service. Great views across the Med sea. Good sized room, just could do with a little upgrade on the shower and a bathroom door that could be closed and locked too. No in room hot drink making facilities. Unfortunately for us, we were woken either by the adjacent room’s shower or the restaurant’s early morning breakfast preparation. Sounded like things being rolled across the floor. (The restaurant is on the top floor, all rooms are on floors below this.) Food only Ok and we felt too expensive for what it was. Used a local restaurant for most of our dinners. English not so fluent with many staff members and caused us some difficulties. Overall though a great place to relax providing you’re not too close to other, more noisy/ verbose guests.

The Hotel Belvedere has a beautiful view and nice pool area but the staff that works the front desk is aloof at best. The hotel is not located in area where you can get to any other locations without transportation while they provide shuttle into town for a fee
it ends at 5:00 pm
They do not want to help you leave the property for dinner/ evenings out and make it clear you are a bother for asking.
If you do book a taxi, be aware it is not a city taxi but a private driver and it is very, very expensive for a 10 min drive into town-
The hotel is also a bit worn around the edges with a terrible ant problem and spotty at best WiFi service- while a beautiful view and nice pool area I wish I had stayed somewhere else .

A Gem on the Amalfi Coast

This hotel is a real hidden gem. Situated snugly into the hillside right on the water and only 10 minutes away from the seaside town of Amalfi. The free parking was a gift from heaven if you know the Amalfi coast and how hard it is to find a place for your car. The room looked out over the water and had a very nice terrace with spectacular views and comfortable chairs. The air conditioning could use an upgrade though. It didn't do a great job cooling down the room. There is a nice and clean salt water (sea water) pool that has waiter service until 6pm. If you dont mind steps, you can go right down to the ocean where they have a platform and direct access into the ocean for an ocean swim in the turquoise blue waters of the Amalfi Coast. But then again, if you dont like steps then Italy is not a place you should vacation. The highlight of this hotel is the staff. Everyone was very helpful and the restaurant is full of distinquised seasoned italian waiters and hosts who are constantly checking to make sure you are comfortable and satiated. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. A full buffet and seating on the patio overlooking the sea. Dinner was delicious as well. Everything was reasonable and they offered 4 euro shuttle ride per person into Amalfi was much appreciated. They have been constructing a spa on site that hopefully will be finished and ready to enjoy for our next visit.

The location was great for what my wife and I were looking for. Between Amalfi and Positano, near enough that we could easily take a day trip to either city, but far enough away to be buffered from the crowds. The service is excellent, the staff do everything they could to make our stay comfortable. Would stay again.

We got the Junior Suite with an amazing terrace view of the coast line! Pool and ocean dock were both wonderdul. We had a great time.

The only downside with the hotel is its location, which we knew prior to booking. Hotel is next to a bus stop (15min bus ride to Amalfi, 35min to Positano). Meal choices are very limited given location (hotel offers lunch and dinner but food not that great). We took bus one night to Positano for dinner but waited 25min for the bus as bus comes every 1hr after 6pm.

This is a great hotel for someone wants a great view pool, and a quiet environment at prices cheaper than staying at similar hotels at Positano. If someone wants the comfort of having many restaurants choices and be able to walk back to hotel after a meal, staying at more touristy Positano might be a better choice. Depends on what you want :)

My family of five stayed at the hotel belvedere and had 2 rooms. Our rooms were clean and spacious and very comfortable. We stayed in the family suite, and it had a separate bedroom for my daughter which was very convenient. It had a large terrace with a view of the coastline and into Amalfi. The other room was a junior suite with a large shower. The views and the pool are stunning and absolutely sold me on the hotel. There were plenty of sunbeds and tables available. The poolside service was good. You can order drinks and food. There is an elevator that you can take to the pool deck. I ventured down to the sea once. The stairs were a lot, but it was nice when I got down there. The service at the hotel was outstanding. We ate in the restaurant a few times and it was delicious. The breakfast was fabulous. It had a great variety: eggs, bacon and sausage, pastries, juices, cereals, fresh fruit, and cheeses. The shuttle from the hotel to Amalfi was convenient and always available. Taking a cab back from Amalfi was easy but expensive, 50 euro for a 5-minute cab ride. We split the cost, so it wasn’t as bad. You can take the bus which is much cheaper. If we ever get the opportunity to travel to the Amalfi coast again, we would definitely stay at the Hotel Belvedere!

Had a few days to spend in Amalfi - initially picked this place due to it being in the middle of Amalfi and Positano.
The good - hotel location, parking (free), breakfast (did not have other meals there), VIEWS, pool, and very generous staff.
The bad - takes 1.5 hours to get there from Naples, but then again, so does everything along the Amalfi coast.
