The location is very convenient as it is next to the JR station. The hotel’s fifth floor is connected to the department store kintetsu.
Even the hotel is not trendy or new, the service is wonderful. The staff bow the guest and press the button of the lift for the guest.

Loved it! So clean and what a great location (just next door to JR station). There are two adjacent shopping malls, Daiso is nearby, food options aplenty. The front desk staff are super professional and go over and beyond by thinking about the customer's needs. There is a free curry rice dinner service as long as you are a hotel guest (whoa!). There is no microwave oven in the hotel, but if you bring your food to the front desk they will heat it for you!

Conveniently located within walking distance from JR Wakayama and in front of the bus station, hotel is well situated for travelling to other parts of Wakayama or within the city.

Hotel is pretty old and rooms are small sized. Bathroom is pretty compact which is typical of Japanese hotels. Do not get a room near the lift as walls are thin and can hear the lift moving up and down. Rooms are actually quite dusty as there were visible dust balls on the tea packets.

Staff at the Front Desk were helpful and friendly.

Hotel is connected to the local shopping mall and train station so it was SUPER convenient. Room #746 was fine except the sofa bed was the worst I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I did not complain about it at the time, so the hotel could not attempt to rectify the situation. My son graciously slept in the bed for two nights, and it creaked and squeaked every time he moved. And be sure to note, this hotel does NOT have coin laundry. We found a place about 3 blocks/5 mins down the street. They even have a free nightly drink and curry and rice! If you don’t use the sofa bed and don’t need to do your own laundry, this hotel would work well.

Very easy to board the Tama Den Cat train. You need to go to the JR entrance and tell them that you want to go to Platform 9. The bus to the castle is right in front of the hotel. Lots of restaurants around the hotel. Rooms are very spacious comparing to Ginza hotels. Right in front of the station.

The rooms are old and a bit depressing due to the brown colors. However, the windows open for fresh air, the moderate size twin is quite big, and there is a big supermarket in the basement. It is also very close to the train station. Extremely convenient location but rooms seriously need updating.

The hotel provided a small serving of curry rice per night for their hotel guests, that was a nice little touch. There was plenty food options around the area though, so we were spoilt for choice.

This was also the first time that the front desk asked if we required the room to be cleaned daily during our stay and if so, what time would we plan to head out and be back to the hotel by. It was unexpected but overall still a nice gesture nonetheless.

Location is right by Wakayama station. There Is an adjoining parking complex with an old shopping center. Front desk service is very commendable and there is a Chinese speaking attendant, 4.5 star level for staffs. Reasonably comfortable,, somewhat outdated fitting and not exactly high level of Japanese cleanliness. Breakfast area is on 5th floor of shopping complex, require navigation. Bottled water in room is a plus. No public bath. No USB charging ports.

There was a very unpleasant odor in the room. It smelled like body odor. We turned on the air conditioner but this did not get rid of the odor. We were not able to change rooms because the only available rooms were smoking rooms and would have smelled of smoke. The only thing the staff was able to do was turn on an air purifier / de-humidifier in the room and spray air freshener.

Closed to train station. Around 600m distance to coin laundry. Easy to find food in the same building. A parking tower with lots of parking spaces. Room (triple beds) space is a little bit small. No view in the room. Breakfast time ends at 9:00AM (but 10:00AM for most hotels I stayed).
