Really good. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. slightly inefficient e.g. beer seemed to be kept in a different location to wine and different to spirits, but a laid back atmosphere where time didn't matter meant it didn't impact. Only bad point of an otherwise great stay for customet service and food (all inclusive offer good rather than a Michelin star type restaurant - the food was great value for what we paid) it was quite noisy at night. We could hear next door having phone conversations at midnight, and probably heard every door on our floor shutting as people went to bed. Otherwise this place is fab and in a great location.

Nice hotel, right at the waterfront, just adjacent to a national park. Amazing service!!!! Very attentive staff. All-inclusive is quite a good deal for the money (five meals a day + open bar). Ideal for families with small kids: outdoors pool, children entertainment activities twice a day (two hours each). Hotel beach is some 100 meters away. Decent gym. Good food, with occasional nice surprise. Nice selection of fish. Interesting choice of local liqueurs. Convenience store on site. Pharmacy just a walk away. Free parking provided. Lot of field trip options.
Limitations. Rooms are quite basic (okay if you are with kids). There are only two (small) elevators serving the hotel and you should expect to queue for up to 15 mins during peak hours. Indoors pool is just a marketing teaser, so be careful (minors not allowed; admission fee most likely applies, unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of booking). Popular destination for retirees.

This a a large, bustling hotel in a fairly small town, convenient for mountain activities in Paklenica National Park but with a very different ambience. It seems especially popular with families, who enjoy the large pool area and many organized activities. You can purchase an all-inclusive package that includes all meals (a decent large buffet), free drinks, activities for kids, and discounts on other things. That might be overkill for couples with lower expectations.

We would like to start our review from saying big THANK YOU to such a great people we met.
Cleaners, waiters, reception staff was absolutely amazing!!!
They did everything that was in their hand to make our stay at Bluesun hotel comfortable.
The first night after our arrival was a little nightmare to myself as I’m very light sleeper and every noise would make me awake
The bed mattress was so uncomfortable I could feel every spring.
First thing in the morning we have requested room change far away from lift and with more comfortable bed.
Reception staff did everything to help us to find the best room for us so the other nights were much better.
Rooms were cleaned everyday…
The food was very good with lots of different choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner…
We have used wellness and spa to relax our body. There is pool, Jacuzzi, saunas etc. as there was not many guest in hotel we could enjoy spa facilities even more
I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for good place to stay as is not far from Zadar, close to Paklenica National Park
The hotel is very busy during summer time therefore I would recommend to go there before pick time unless you don’t mind…

Terrible experience. We left after just one night, managing to find an alternative hotel.

We paid to stay at this hotel on an all inclusive basis, but this was unfortunately not honoured by the hotel. We were charged for beer and wine on the night of arrival, having been advised that these beverages could not be included because it was 10pm. The next day we went to the restaurant for lunch during the advertised time slot and were met with surprise, confusion, and an empty restaurant. After waiting for the manager to be called, we were offered \"fish or beef\" (I am vegetarian.)

Attempts to acquire any beverage or food during our very short stay were an ordeal - the staff gave reluctant service, making it clear that we were a burden to them. We were informed that the hotel would be closing for the season very shortly, and were told that the normal all-inclusive services were not running. This begs the question of why our all-inclusive booking was accepted.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable. The only plus was the beautiful scenery surrounding the hotel.

We are still trying to get the refund promised via Expedia, who have also been extremely unhelpful and fail to return the promised call backs.

All in all a very disappointing experience.

Good choice for vacation

Great location near the beach, good food - buffet breakfast and dinner, friendly staff and very nice wellness (for surcharge). Many supermarkets nearby. We were staying just for one night in late oktober, so the price was really low for what we got. We will come back.

Great value hotel in lovely location

We stayed for 3 nights in early October in room 802, which is an 8th floor corner room with excellent views over both the sea and (partially) the national park, at a great rate on an all-inclusive basis. Very good quality food, with plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner; packed lunches were also available if booked the previous evening. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is situated between the main road and the sea near a bus stop on the outskirts of Starigrad and conveniently placed for the main entrance to the national park. Can thoroughly recommend.

A good 3 star hotel in Croatia.

My wife and I traveled around Croatia during a week and stayed in 4 hotels while seeing all the site. We found Hotel Alan a good stop off for the National Parks of Plitvice. The hotel is 3 Star so wasn't expecting anything more. It was exactly that. If your expecting 4/5 star luxury this isn't the hotel for you. But you want a good stop over with pool, beach, games and all inclusive buffet and drinks then I would recommend. Personally there were too many kids for us but that was expected. I would recommend to family's. All in all one of the best 3 stars. To note we stayed in 5 star Le Merdien in Split...and 5 Star Falkensteiner in Zadar so can offer a good comparison. Blue Alan is a very good 3 star!

The location of the hotel is conveniently located near Paklenica National Park- about a 15-minute walk to the ticket office. As for the hotel itself, it has many great amenities, and the receptionists are kind and very helpful.

Quiet. Time

If you want a quiet time and love walking this is a great place, we were only there for one night so suited us, rooms are good size and view from balcony very good, the night came with a big storm and the lightening display over the mountains was beautiful.

Disappointing for the money we paid

Very overpriced for a package hotel; very worn decoration throughout and poor service from the staff, who had allocated us one four bed room instead of the two triples we reserved, and took a good half hour to finally produce the required rooms.

A step closer to condo-style vacationing in Croati

We lived in Croatia for three years in the mid 2000's. During those years hotels were not a good option for families...we learned to stay in apartments which is still a great way to go but may be a little strange for North Americans. We normally vacation in condo-style facilities in other parts of the world. We were just quickly passing through the region and stayed at Bluesun. They placed us in one of their apartments that could sleep 6 (two bedrooms plus a pull-out in the living room). This provides a similar scenario to the condos we normally stay in...difficult to find in Croatia. Stari Grad was a favourite place for us while living in Croatia for hiking in Paklenica, being on the sea and visiting nearby Zadar and Pag.

The hotel is in a great location on the beach. Had a great view from my room. The food was suprisingly not bad and the front desk staff were friendly..

Cons
Bad service in restaurants. AC was brok and they would not switch us rooms. Hotel is old and getting a little outdated.

Een tekening van een vorige gast was nog zichtbaar op de glazen douchewand wanneer deze aandampte... Het zwembad sluit zeer vroeg (17u30), wanneer er ook geen activiteiten meer zijn, en het avondeten begint pas om 19u. Hierdoor word je haast gedwongen om te consumeren in het caffé of de bar (niet bij de prijs inbegrepen uiteraard). De parking is plots ook betalend...

ACHTUNG HUNDEBESITZER!

Für den Hund zahlt man pro Aufenthalt 35-70 Euro (je Größe), dies steht jedoch im Kleingedruckten, was selten jemand liest. Bei unserem Aufenthalt von einer Nacht zahlten wir für den Hund gleich viel wie für eine Person. Die Relation ist sehr unlogisch.

Séjour extra !
Points positifs : une chambre immense avec porte pour séparer l’espace enfants de l’espace parents / la qualité du buffet / la piscine avec vue sur la mer / l’aquagym / et vraiment le spa, avec mention spéciale pour Anita qui m’a fait vivre le meilleur massage de ma vie !!!
Points négatifs : tout est en supplément, même le Ping Pong ! On s’en est sortis pour 200€ de suppléments pour 4 sur 6 jours, entre les boissons, activités et le massage / on était en rdc, et au dessus de nous une famille très bruyante qui gênait pour dormir le soir, manque d’insonorisation / une sensation de sol sale tout le long du séjour / serveurs qui pourraient mieux maîtriser l’anglais, pas mal d’incompréhensions !
On en retient tout de même 90% de positif !!

Bardzo dobry stosunek jakości do ceny. Obiekt oferuje bogate śniadania i kolacje (w formie bufetu). Pokoje małe, ale czyste. Malownicza okolica, wokół morze i góry. Możliwość uprawiania różnorodnych sportów. Na pewno tu wrócimy.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön, besonderes der große Pool zum Meer hin ist ein Highlight.
Leider gab es nur sehr wenige Liegen, die bereits nachts reserviert wurden.
Die Rooftop-Bar ist für Sonnenuntergänge genial und es scheint als wäre das noch ein Geheimtipp.
Die Coronaregeln wurden im Restaurant leider nicht ganz eingehalten.

Odlični dodatni sadržaji, idealno za djecu

Najbolji hrvatski hotel s 3 zvjezdice u kojem sam boravio. Dodatni sadržaji su zaista bogati: ogroman bazen, bar uz plažu, fantastični Sky bar na 9.katu, turistička agencija s izletima...
Okoliš je vrlo ugodan, u borovoj šumici koja neodoljivo miriše, a sve to je nadomak plaže.
Usluga i osoblje također su za svaku pohvalu, vrlo uslužni i ljubazni - od sobarica, recepcionerki do konobara.
Jedina sugestija - produžiti vrijeme kad je dozvoljeno kupanje u bazenu, da se može uživati i u večernjem razdoblju. Bazen je vrlo atraktivan pa je šteta da navečer stoji neiskorišten.

Wir waren für einen Aufenthalt von 4 Nächten in diesem Hotel. Der Zimmerservice blieb bei uns seit Tag 1 aus. Bei Ankunft mussten wir leider feststellen, dass die Bettwäsche schmutzig war. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns zugesichert, diese sofort zu wechseln, jedoch hatten wir bis zum Abreisetermin keine gewechselte Bettwäsche und mussten demnach 4 Nächte ohne schlafen. Wir mussten ebenso unzählige Male nachfragen, den Boden einmal durchzufegen, was trotz Zusicherung dies zu tun, nicht einmal getan wurde.
Unser Balkon war komplett von Vogelnestern bebaut und dementsprechend nicht betretbar, da die Wände und auch der Boden mit Unrat beschmutzt war. Leider zog dies auch unzählige Ameisen an, weswegen wir nicht einmal die Möglichkeit hatten, zu lüften. Es blieb nicht aus, das ganze 3 mal Babyküken aus den Nestern fielen und von den Ameisen zersetzt wurden. Auf Nachfrage dies zu beseitigen, da sich alles vor unserem Fenster abspielte, wurde erneut zugesichert es zu säubern, jedoch nie beseitigt.
Das Frühstück war leider durchgängig ohne Brötchen und nicht abwechslungsreich. Das Abendessen war ok, jedoch konnte hier niemand sagen, von welchem Tier jenes Fleisch stammt.
Für einen so kurzen Aufenthalt war es leider sehr enttäuschend.

nicht gefallen hat, dass dieses Hotel nur auf eine englische Belegung ausgelegt ist und komplett von Juni bis Ende Oktober entsprechend vermietet ist. Schade, keine anderen Gäste treffen zu können.

Schön gelegenes Hotel mit Bergen und Meer

Das Hotel liegt wunderbar am Fuß des Velebitsgebirges und dennoch am Meer. Somit ist es das richtige Hotel für alle, die Wandern möchten, aber dennoch nicht auf einen Badeaufenthalt verzichten möchten. Der SPA-Bereich ist sehr schön. Er muss separat bezahlt werden, ist aber preiswert. 3 Tage kosten insgesamt 199 Kuna, das sind ca. 27 Euro. Auch die Kosmetikbehandlung war professionell. Wir hatten einen seitlichen Meerblick im hohen Block, dieser war einfach toll, da man auf die Berge und das Meer geschaut hat. Das Restaurant ist bei voller Belegung etwas laut, da es sich auf einer Galerie über dem Eingangsbereich befindet. Das Essen war gut, in Buffetform, mit einer reichhaltigen Auswahl an Fisch.
Es ist eine überschaubare Anlage, nicht zu groß und mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Ett fint hotell på en mindre ort utanför Zadar, lugnt och stillsamt område.
Nära till havet, 1 minut från hotellet.
Okej mat hela vistelsen för priset av all inklusive.
Ingår gör bara vissa drycker om man beställer med all inclusive.
Inte mycket affärer eller sådan i närheten, men några små super market finns.
Hotellet i sig var fint, väldigt bra service med allt!
Lite hårda sängar på rummet.

Tolles Hotel und super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

Wir hatten das Hotel für 4 Nächte gebucht. Ausschlaggebend war die Nähe zum Nationalpark und zu den Städten Zadar und Split. Zu dem tollen AI-Preis hatten wir nicht viel erwartet und wurden positiv überrascht! Das Hotel liegt in einer schönen Bucht in einem großen Garten mit gepflegtem Pool-Bereich. Drumherum befindet sich der Campingplatz. Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr sauber und ansprechend. Trotz AI habe wir nur gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen. Hier hätten die Speisen wärmer sein müssen! Ansonsten war immer alles ausreichend vorhanden und auch geschmacklich in Ordnung. Getränke konnten wir uns selber zapfen. Selbst der Wein schmeckte!
Vor dem Hotel befindet sich ein kostenloser Parkplatz. Nach Starigrad kann man laufen. Dort war allerdings im September nicht viel los.

Kan varmt rekomendera detta hotell. En fantastisk anläggning. Undebar mat,mycket tillmötesgående personal, verkligen gästvänliga. Bästa spamassagen någonsin. Gym finns också om man känner för det. Rekomenderar dock att hyra bil så att man kan se sig omkring

insgesamt gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, es ist halt ein älteres Gebäude, aber saniert, daher etwas ungünstige Zimmerzuschnitte, recht hellhörig usw., aber gute Lage am Strand + nicht weit zum Nationalpark, freundliches Personal und Mahlzeiten gut. Etwas unpraktisch war, dass der Fernseher in einem anderen Zimmer steht, hier aber nur unbezogene Betten als \"Sitzmöglichkeit\" vorhanden sind

Helt grei hotel, men når snitt alderen er over 70 så er det ikke så kjekt for de under 30.
Maten var lokalt og helt grei. Utflukter var det og. Bassenget var iskald og skitten. Ellers var det et fint hotel som eg kan anbefale til mormor, :)

Bei der Ankunft stellte sich heraus, dass das Schwimmbecken eine Baustelle war.
Sonnenliegen, um sich die Sonne auf den Bauch scheinen lassen zu können, musste man selbst von einem großen Stapel runternehmen. Auflagen bzw. Matratzen für diese Liegen gab es nicht oder wurde jedenfalls nicht zu Verfügung gestellt. Personal (Chefin) war bei Nachfrage eher unfreundlich.
Das erste Zimmer, das uns angeboten wurde, war an drei Aufzüge angrenzend, von welchen jede Aktivität bis ins Zimmer stark zu hören war, sodass schlafen schwer möglich war. Auf Nachfrage bezügl. Zimmerwechsel wurde primär mit \"alle Zimmer sind belegt\" geantwortet. Bei weiterer Nachfrage - 1 Zimmer auf einer anderen Etage zu erhalten - wurde dies ermöglicht.
