Loved this place. This was our first time here. We just needed a relaxing getaway for one night and we really picked the right place. So well-designed. Beautiful open-air lobby and pool. The pool is very small - not meant for Olympic swimming, but you can do short laps. The sauna/steam-room were just steps away. The dinner was amazing. We will absolutely be back. What a sweet oasis!

We had an exceptional stay at this property. The location is very near downtown Mountain View where there are a tons of options to dine. The staff are wonderful. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and modern. The bed and the sheets are perfect. Parking is great. The pool and hot tub are wonderful. There is really nothing bad to say about the place. Will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is nice but not to stay at. The bed was lumpy, the mattress had no support. The pillows were flat. The noise from the road outside was so loud, it made it impossible to sleep. Also the walls are so thin that you could hear heavy stomping from the room above and a random ringing type noise went off at 4 AM for about 15 minutes. My husband and i slept about four hours max. I will never stay here again.

The entire hotel is over-fragranced. For someone who has a mild allergy to fragrance I was miserable the entire time. Walking through the hallways from the elevator was awful. We sat in the bar area one night and I had to leave because it was so strong I could taste it! It gave me a bitter taste in my mouth and ruined our dinner. Not to mention the headaches! It’s so bad for everyone and your hotel is the worst I’ve ever experienced. On top of that, our room was shabby at best. Everything in it was skew - from the tv hanging on the wall, to the side tables and the bench at the end of the bed. There was just no care taken or attention to detail.

I’ve stayed at Shashi Hotel in Palo Alto around 5–6 times and had made it my preferred hotel because of its location and past good experiences. Until this visit, I never had a single problem — so I expected professionalism and care.

During my recent stay, some of my personal trading cards (worth $100s!!!) went missing from the room. When I reported it, two front desk employees insisted that no one had entered the room and repeatedly claimed that staff “does not steal.” They gave my boyfriend the key to check the room himself — which he did — and sure enough, the cards were gone, though the bag they had been in remained.

What shocked me the most was the attitude of the front desk representative, Ariana, during a follow-up call. Instead of acknowledging the situation, she was dismissive, condescending, and mocking. She repeatedly told me that “the hotel does not steal” and accused me of being “disrespectful” simply for describing my own items as stolen. She refused to provide management contact information at first and claimed not to know if the hotel even had a policy for missing items. The tone of the call made me feel belittled and defensive, even though this was entirely the hotel’s mishandling, not anything I did.

I hope the management retrains their staff on professionalism and courtesy towards their guests, this is shocking behavior.

room was clean though daily cleanings were very minimal. Water in the room was great. Coffee situation awful. powdered coffee and the one place to get coffee in the entire hotel closes at 10am! No security at front of hotel. any one can walk through without a room key and get onto any floor.

There were excessive noise issues including an argument in the courtyard (which wasn't within the hotel's control), music playing in the courtyard up until the time I went down to ask to have it turned off at 12:35am, and multiple room doors slamming late into the night. Not a quiet place to spend out money.

This propety is more akin to a Holliday Inn than the Four Seasons. Cheap plastic wall base in the rooms where there should be stone or hardwood. The carpet in the 2nd floor hallway makes huge waves when it should be flat. I had a problem with the lights flashing in my room, they said they fixed it but the lights still strobbed, so i had to sit in the dark.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Very nice hotel at a great price! Bed & pillows were comfy. Great shower with soap, shampoo & conditioner on the wall. Good water pressure. Mini fridge but no microwave. They do have a microwave in lobby you can use. 4 different restaurants and a nice bar to relax and catch a game on tv. Nice pool & jacuzzi with a sauna that were very clean. Nice weight room with plenty of cardio equipment. Close to the freeway. Felt safe! Area around hotel was a little dirty but they are doing lots of construction. Overall great hotel!!!

This was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The sauna steam room combo plus the heated pool and hot tub are what sold me instantly when I was searching for a place. Relaxing atmosphere in the entire establishment, friendly staff, lots of places to sit and lounge on the main level. Oh and the robes! I loved that. So so enjoyed this I hope I come back some day!

The room was spacious for a family of 4 (2 young kids), the location is excellent, service and staff were very good, FREE parking!.
There was an issue with the outdoor elevator (not working) and the lighting in the stairwell (1st floor) was not working either... not happy about that because of safety issue.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a genuinely pleasant experience. The customer service was excellent — every staff member I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The room was spotless, calm, and beautifully decorated, which made it easy to relax after a long day. I also appreciated the welcome beverage; it was a thoughtful touch that set a positive tone for the stay. The hotel is accross the street from the Computer History Museum.

The only downside for me was the bed, which I didn’t find very comfortable. While everything else exceeded expectations, a better mattress would have made the stay perfect.

Overall, it’s a lovely place with great service and atmosphere — just a small improvement needed on the bedding.

We did not get breakfast. We did not go in the hot tub. The room was very clean. The front desk staff were very nice and professional at check in.

There should be decent coffee available in the room, not just instant. The room was very cold, as it was cold outside. It took a few hours for the room to warm up and the bed sheet blanket was not warm enough. We were both uncomfortably cold while the room warmed up.
