Generally dreadful. Room small and not in good condition. View was of wall approx 30cm away so no natural light (fun if you have jetlag). I couldn't get the kettle to work. Uninspiring breakfast in very loud room. Area outside the hotel is not the cleanest.

The hotel needs renovation. One lift was not working. Flush in the bathroom was not working. A/C temperature control was not working. Gym was supposed to open at 6 am but I had to ask them to find the key and open it even though it was 6:30am. Restaurant staff was polite and friendly but not professional (talking loudly to each other and slow service).

Ramada - You can do better than this !!

Stayed at the Ramada, Chennai, for a short business trip. The hotel infrastructure is old and needs urgent upgrades.

The food quality is below average and not what I expected from Ramada.

Being vegetarian, I complained about Veg and non-veg snacks kept just together and guest using same spoons / ladles to take veg as well non-veg food. Staff agreed to put non-veg food separate, but on very next day, they again mixed veg and Non-veg.

Vegetarian guests, Eat at your own risk !!

Seems like they neither listen not ready to implement feedbacks for improvement.

From a very small gym to a very small pool and an overpriced Spa, it's better to give the hotel a skip.

Deserves to be Zero Star Rated.

Terrible. How is this a 4 star? The Owner and Ramada as Franchise/Brand Owner have not invested at all in this property. It is shamefully very old and in terrible condition. I feel pity for the staff who work tirelessly and faithfully for the Brand. Phew. Never again!!

I booked this hotel for the name Ramada but honestly I was shocked when I got inside the hotel and room. Extremely dirty, dark. The toilet door was dirty and broken in some places. Room roof was damped. I paid Cad $ 117 which is very high for this quality. This hotel is bringing bad name for the brand Ramada. I dont recommend any one to stay there.

It’s not a hotel it’s a “Motel”

It was horrible!!!! Pathetic service…. The hotel claims to have 24 hour room service but they don’t have any items available except for tea/coffee and then they have the audacity to tell me I cannot use delivery services to get some grub!!!
Ramada might have been a good hotel earlier but trust me right now it’s just as bad as a ”motel” … you people should be ashamed to call your self part of the Wyndham group!!!

There was this young fellow who was at the travel desk on the 23-Mar evening who helped to arrange a car and helped me to pick up a cake - this chap was exceptional 10/10.

The rest of the stay required patience as the first room I received had a strange smell that emanates from the local river and the hotel manager immediately made the room change.

The second room has mosquitoes and once again the hotel manager was at hand to help repellent.

Both days of my trip were missing face towels so had to use the hand towel for a shave.

The outside dining / drinks area called the walk is well presented but sadly the local river smell was overwhelming and the constant presence of mosquitoes was irritating.

Should you use the hotel cars then expect to pay international rates otherwise use Uber that are readily available.

The dinner buffet is well presented and tastes good 5/5.

Should it have not been for the mosquitoes and the smell from the river I would have given this a 4/5 but sadly will give it a 3/5.

1. They say it’s a Business class hotel but would only WiFi for two devices ... something I never heard off in any similar price range hotels
2. When asked for plate and spoon , I was told it will be charged . I don’t mind paying ... the idea of service is missing .
3. We were given old rooms despite the multiple requests .
4. Over all experience is not worth the money .

Cleaner washed cups and glass in toilet and immediately placed it. I had to call the manager to educate.
Noisy AC, had to get it repaired.
No responsibility attitude or pride in the work being done by the staff.
Saying sorry is not a desired response. Taking ownership and fixing is, which lacks.
Hardly any change in breakfast menu.
Elevator under maintenance till Aug so lot of waiting time plus one working elevator appears unsafe.

CHECK IN PROCESS:
Check in process was ridiculous! I placed a reservation over the phone 2 days prior to my visit. Once I arrived at the front desk, the guy said he couldnt locate that reservation! It took him 30 minutes to fiddle around with my name and contact, checked with his manager and said the reservation does not exist! I then went on orbitz and made a new reservation. Gave him the confirmation number and he made me wait for 15 minutes. Then came back and wanted me to forward the Orbitz itinerary via email to his hotel!!! He then took another 30 minutes before he got back to me with additional paperwork. He made copies of our goverment IDs then made me wait another 10 minutes. Signed my papers and finally got a room(took me atleast 1.5 hours to complete check in). Whats ridiculous is that I received a call from the hotel later that afternoon to remind me about a reservation that I made?!?! The hotel manager did not have a good explanation for the confusion.
Hotel experience : It is in close proximity to the train station which is very convenient. The staff that work in the restaurant are nice and courteous! The breakfast is good. Rooms are comfortable, clean. They adjusted the check in and check out times (checked in early and late).
Checkout : Fast.
Overall : Decent hotel to stay at if you are looking for something clean and not super expensive. But that check in process makes me NOT want to go there AGAIN.

Our room was located directly above the outside restaurant which played loud music late into the night keeping us awake. The music was so loud that our room was shaking. Everything else was fine but the reason you get a hotel is to rest, and the excessively loud music made it impossible to sleep.

Rooms, Hallways are old, stale but good location.

Staff is slow but polite and cooperative. Evening dinner not good choices. Nearby restaurants not easily reachable. Talke local teansportation after one block, when they see you walking out of Hotel your charges will double. Do bargain for local transportation, give them 60-75% of what they ask. Over all good experiance. I do recommend hotel if you dont spend too much time in room.

A well located hotel, with decent sized rooms (bit dated decor) and good sized bathrooms and reasonable amenities.

The dinner buffet is well priced and food decent quality.

Good location and Good staff in Ramada Chennai

Visited Chennai for meeting friends and relatives and the location of this hotel was central and easy access to many other locations in the city. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast has huge variety and served on table too if ordered. Check in and check out was easy process. Transport was easily available. Area is crowded but rooms are sound proof and no noise from outside. Many eateries nearby to check out and try local Indian food.

Excellent stay for first time visitors to India

We stayed in the Ramada for 3 nights and chose this hotel because of its central location, on site restaurants and free wifi. The Ramada was our first accommodation in India and we were not disappointed. The rooms are huge and comfortable, there is no noise from the traffic, paper is delivered every morning. The staff were very nice, no problems there. We particularly liked the restaurant staff who were very helpful assisting us with our food choices as this was our first time in India. We also used the airport transfer service to get to the hotel safely upon arrival and after that used one of the many rickshaws driving by to get around.
As a tourist Travelling to India who wants a nice hotel, try the Ramada.
Restaurant buffet dinner was 550INR for guests and the food is excellent.
