This was our second stay at Portobello Hotel, and once again it was perfect. Ana went above and beyond from day one — as always! The sunsets from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking, and the location couldn’t be better — just a few minutes’ walk to the heart of the old city. A truly special place with warm hospitality.

Location location location this property was beautifully situated looking over the old town and everything was walking within 10 to 15 minutes.

The property was safe, well maintained and very clean / comfortable. The Staff was all very welcoming and supportive of our needs. Took care of reservations and transportation wherever we needed to go. Provided us with excellent restaurant recommendations that we used each night with zero complaints.

The hotel was beautiful and made our stay more magical. The staff was the best part. Incredibly friendly and helpful. We walked down the steps to Mykonos Town and it was great. Something to keep in mind- if you are coming from the airport make sure the driver drops you off at the hotel. Do not get dropped off in Mykonos Town with luggage. It’s not impossibly but it may be uncomfortable walking up the steps with luggage. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Mykonos. They also

A must in Mykonos!

We had the absolute best stay at Portobello. The location was perfect (close to the airport and right in town). The daily breakfast overlooking Mykonos was our favorite. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was gorgeous and clean. Highly recommend!

Stayed with wife and 18 year old daughter. Of all the places we’ve stayed in Greece and Italy this was our favorite. Great location— connected to the pedestrian shopping and restaurant area and also the outer street to be picked up by private transfer or rent a car. The staff is great and totally take care of everything you need. Anna there is awesome. The view is perfect. This is a gem. Thanks for a great stay in Mykonos.

Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel has nice decoration, in good condition.
We were upgraded to a bigger room with balcony, great view of the town and ocean. Comfy bed, reasonable size of the bath room, very good breakfast! It would be great if there're more outlets provided in the room. We have two phones, a camera, and laptop need to be charged, but only one outlet, we had to unplug the lamps
Our good experience was hampered a bit by the front desk customer service. One of the receptionist was a bit cold and not that willing to help. She did provide help at the end, but I was embarrassed because it's too obvious that she was not really willing to help.
But the receptionist at night was very nice.

Views to die for!

Lovely hotel located at the top of the town so you get a great view of everything in Mykonos town.
Very friendly and helpful staff, did everything they can to make it a pleasant stay.
Only negative is that the pool is not available to general guests, only the villa, so a little misleading and disappointing.

I stayed at Portobello Boutique Hotel with my sister. We liked the views of the village and the water from the hotel. We also liked the buffet breakfast. Our positive experiences were hampered by the treatment of the hotel staff. My sister and I arrived mid-day via ferry and taxi. The hotel has many steps leading down to it. The taxi driver told us to go down to reception and tell them to help us bring our bags down the steps. I ran down and told the reception this and the woman said we jad to brong out four bags dpwn ourselves because ghe porter who helps with that was not at the hotel. My sister and i sragged our bags doqn ybe steps juat to fins thay there were two female employees waiting at th3 door. We werent suee why they couldnt helpnus bring our suitcases down to recetipn. They did offer us watet qnd compkimentsty wibe. The woman at eeceptipn said she upgraded our room, but after reveiwing the toom options, my sister and i domt believe she actually did that. Whenever we came to recepyion yo ask about yhe area or tp uave inproant travel doxuments orinted, we were met with an attitude

The property is right up by the ring road so coming from port or harbor a taxi can drop you right there unlike some hotels which are right in town where you can't drive so you need to haul your stuff through tiny crowded paths. Of course this means that popping in and out of your hotel requires some climbing but that's pretty much everywhere in Mykonos. My room was clean though pretty small. My friend had a much bigger room but with no view. There was breakfast every morning in the lobby which was manned 24/7. They have a covid protocol where you need to drop your keys off in a sterilization box. I would rather have held onto my key rather than have it out there but ultimately no issues. There is a fridge with drinks and stuff in the room. Nice toiletries in the bathroom but no free water bottles. Shower and AC and wifi worked well. Make sure when booking a taxi to/from harbor/airport that you give enough time. I doubt it is the hotel's fault but our pick up taxi at harbor was 15 minutes late and not where he was supposed to be. Upon departure I noticed he was driving the wrong way and asked where he was going. He said he thought we were going to the airport instead of the port. Anyway, nice place. Very good value for money. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Give it a go.

The location can't be beat, it's right in Mykonos Town and less than a 5 minute walk anywhere, but it's a little bit further back so it's much quieter and felt much more comfortable. The room was bright and spacious with a large bathroom and we absolutely loved our private balcony that overlooked the city. Can't recommend highly enough!

We booked the budget room - very clean. No view but that was expected. Our room was the closest to reception so it got abit noisy.
On the plus side- excellent breakfast made by Eleni. The cheesecake was to die for. She was fantastic.
Claudia at reception was so helpful and lovely including the 2 boys who help around the hotel.

This place was perfect for us, we had 4 rooms, 2 rooms in the villa with pool use. The reservation process and check in was easy. There was very attentive staff. The breakfast was great and we ate outside an the terrace. The down side was that breakfast didn't start till 8 am and coffee wasn't available beforehand. We asked the staff where we could get coffee earlier and they said they didn't know, this was off? So we looked it up and found coffee a short walk away.

They sent me email one day prior to our arrival to see if anything they can do to make our check-in easier such as transportation. Very clean hotel with very good breakfast come with a great city view. For no additional charges, they also helped us to book transportation to the port, brought us chairs, plates and forks for our small party. Definitely going back next time.

We traveled to Greece for our honeymoon and we loved Mykonos. We did a lot of research before selecting hotels and knowing that Mykonos has a big nightlife we wanted to stay away from the noise. We loved the location of this hotel. It has the most beautiful view overlooking the town. You are away from the noise and while the walk up and down is a lot of steps we enjoyed the extra exercise. The rooms were comfortable and the AC worked very well. The front desk and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in Greece. The Greek yogurt was the best we had the entire trip! Your view at breakfast is so beautiful and peaceful. If you don't mind steps, don't hesitate to book!

Easy to get to from the main road, they have their own private driveway and parking lot. Beautiful views from the balcony and windows from our room. Roomy. Clean. Modern. Door separates living room and bedroom. Our 2 kids ( 8 and 11 yr old) slept well on the living room sofa and trundle bed. Easy 5 minute walk to the main town, windmills, little Venice.

We had some changes in travel plans and book this hotel last minute, after reading the positive reviews. I have to say Portobello hotel did not disappoint and even exceed our expectations. They very kindly upgraded our room when we check in, maybe because it’s not the start of the season yet and the hotel was not full. You can feel the warm hospitality of the staffs the minute you step in and they’re constantly checking if everything is ok. The staffs were patient on answering our questions on the areas to check out and even provided beach towels for us to take to the beach so that we can chill out. The breakfast is also the best that we’ve had during our stay in Greece. The food is lovingly prepared and pie of homemade. You can tell they take pride in their food. I have to commend the team for their impeccable service. Location wise, it’s at a nice quiet spot next to Boni’s Windmill and nearby to Mykonos town and all the attractions. If you don’t mind some steps or a slight steep ascent to get to the hotel, this is definitely the recommended place to stay at Mykonos.

The hotel was a little bit of a walk to some parts of downtown. But the views from our home cooked breakfast was worth it. The staff was knowledge about how to find things and was always willing to make a phone call if they didn't have an answer. I was a bit disappointed in the fact that the pool was for Villa guest only but that was the only down side.

A beautiful hotel with the best views in Mykonos

Portabello Boutique Hotel is a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and the best views in Mykonos! Everyday we ate yummy breakfasts with a huge range, including homemade greek yoghurt, omelettes made to order, savoury pastries and cakes. You can eat on the front patio area which has a full view over Mykonos. The staff were very friendly and helpful and organised taxi transfers and a car booking for us. Don't let the fact that it is on the hill turn you off. The walk is not so far that it's inconvenient. As the hotel is a little further up the hill we didn't get any of the night party noise. We loved our stay so much we'd recommend it to everyone and are hoping to go again!

We spent 2 nights at Portobello and it was absolutely perfect. We arrived early on a flight from Athens and were greeted with tea by the staff. Our room was beautiful and clean.

Convenient but not guaranteed good view

The hotel is conveniently situated at the top of Mykonos town with great views as long as your room is facing the sea or you are lucky enough to get a standard room facing the windmill (WARNING: NOT ALL STANDARD ROOMS HAVE A VIEW). The biggest disappointment with our standard room was that while it claims to have \"courtyard views\", we were actually facing the back of the hotel looking at a wall. I was also deeply disappointed by the way we were treated by the manager of the hotel, who was quite rude in dealing with us. Her initial solution when we had arrived at our room at 8pm at night was to give us a full refund and let us find another hotel (also bear in mind the location of the hotel was at the top of the hill of a pedestrian only town - making it very difficult to walk around with our luggage, let alone find a last minute hotel). We requested she correct the description that the room offers courtyard views on Expedia/Hotels.com given it is false as not all standard rooms have ANY view, but she said she would not. The wifi connection in our room was also very poor.

We'd Stay Here Again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We can feel their sincerity in all aspects - from check-in, reception, housekeeping to F&B. The property looks very new but their last renovation was actually 9 years ago. Very well-maintained property. The photos on TripAdvisor do not do justice to the hotel. 2 thumbs up!

Great place to stay

Excellent hotel. It's away from the hustle and bustle of Mykonos but is a short walk to the shops, restaurants, and bus station. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful.

Weekend in Mykonos

Spent two nights and the hotel was just as indicated on the website. On the edge of old town with great views and wonderful help. The workers at the hotel were courteous and assisted well with the questions I brought to them. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and recommend without hesitation.

FANTASTIC 2 NIGHT STAY BEFORE MOVING ON TO NAXOS

Excellent location so close to town, hotel was spotless and breakfast was lovely . Amazing views to watch the sunset from the terrace,staff were really nice and friendly supplied towels in their own little bag for the beach, would definitely recommend , unless you have problems walking up hill.
