Overall a good trip

Check in was smooth. Arrived before quoted check in time but we were allowed to check in anyway. Room was nice and big, with a balcony, overlooking Vivaldi Park. Hotel only cleans the room every 3 days (we stayed for 2 nights) so we didn't get our room cleaned but that wasn't a problem. Plenty of things to do close by. Would stay again.

It is misleading to show there is swimming pool in this facility. There is no swimming pool in this facility. The existing swimming pool is in another facility, which is a bit far away. Also it is pay and use, which is pretty expensive.

The biggest towel they have is face towel size according to international standards. Would have to bring your own towels if you need. Tried asking for additonal towels but was told we have to pay extra

I booked a suite that sleeps 5, on the expedia it says two room with 2 beds, but when i checked in it was two bed room but only 1 bedroom has a bed and the other room is just sleeping on the floor ( next morning feels my back was broken).

Second temperature control was broken, the room temperature was 28.8 degree celus and when calling to front desk it was constant busy. Room was so hot cant fall alseep even with window opened.

Third we found an rotting orange under the couch.

4. Fourth they have no bath towels, they only gave you small face towels.

Would not stay here again

Room was large and well-kept. Service staff were very helpful despite passable English. Being able to control room lighting and temp remotely was a big plus. Plenty of amenities located nearby, with underground access so that one doesn’t have to dress for cold weather just to run errands.

I had a good room, I was on the top floor in a suite that had a balcony facing the mountain but it was a little dated. A couple of the bar stools had leather that looked like Donald Trumps face, it was just a tattered wrinkly mess, like a dried up pool of mud cracked in the sun... but overall the hotel was comfortable.

I went mid-week so it was quiet, still enough people to give a good vibe but quiet enough that I didn't have to wait for the chair lifts. I was there to snowboard, which I did a lot of and the runs are pretty good for me at an intermediate level but I think experts might get bored quickly. It only snowed one day so it was mostly just artificial snow on the mountain, but it wasn't terrible. I did find myself wishing I had just gone back to Hokkaido in Japan for some amazing powder.

There was lots to do at the resort. I managed to make good use of the Korean Spa, nothing like getting naked with a bunch of strangers and bathing in super super hot man soup after a long day on the mountain. I also enjoyed some of the other activities, like the games arcade, indoor go karts and bowling.

Food at the resort was generally pretty good too, not so much on the mountain but in the underground shopping mall. Lots to choose from and reasonably priced. There is also a large convenience store where you can get cheap snacks and drinks etc.

I've read a lot of reviews of people saying English was non existent at the resort, I never found the lack of English to be a problem.

Nice resort and facilities

Booked from Hotel.com is the cheapest as compared to the rest.
The one we stayed is great and newly renovated last year, we love the place very much and we paid extra to face the ski slopes. It is worth it.
Just execpt no house keeping at all and we stayed for 3nights.
No bath towel too and only provided 2 face towel.

Cannot check-in until 1200, it should allow guest to check-in if arrive earlier than 1200 and store the luggage. Though there are locker for rent, it’s not enough. All check in/out need to go to main building which is far away from the other building. The luggage trolley in the lobby are far too less, I have to carry all my luggage an go around the buildings before check-in.

There is no cooking oil in the room, and the hotel cannot offer, how can they assume all guest to bring it or buy a large bottle of oil from the supermarket themselves!!!

There is no curtain to separate the toilet and the bathing area, my towels are easily to get wet when shower.

I call to the front desk, but they can’t speak and listen to simple English. I need to wait for their call back with English speaking agent.

The curtain in the room is not able to shield all the sunlight in the morning, I can’t sleep late in the morning.

No English operating manual to guide you how to use the cooker and the cooking machine. Only Korean language available.

No one help to clean the room during the stay.

Perfect walking distance to ski and Ocean World. The underground mall with plenty of shops and eateries provides great variety to spend a weekend. The connecting passages are wonderful to get around with little ones. Free shuttle buses to the city makes this a perfect getaway!

The hotel room is filled with smoking smell. I told the extremely rude Assistant Manager (which refused to tell me his name) and requested for change. We waited 2hours in that smoking room and wasted a lot of money for international call for translation because non of their staff can understand english. They had other room but not willing to change because my son used the toilet to wash his hand. We were not told that cannot wash hand in the toilet while waiting for 2 hours. This prove Vivaldi has the worst training for staff because such cruel person was chosen as their assitant manager. We were forced to sleep in a smoking room with window open (is winter and that night wind blowing into our room is -4°C) because is too smelly. I paid for 2 nights but left early morning because was feeling sick due to the smoke and wasted the other night stay money and medical bills. I will report this to Korea Tourism Organization.

Great Winter Trip

We've stayed in a suite at Maple building. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a kitchen. Our suite had a great ski slopes view. The unit looked a little old but very clean.Two kids slept on a double bed in a larger bedroom, while the other bedroom did not have a bed. The other bedroom was a Korean traditional Ondol style with floor futons. The staffs were kind and helpful.

The resort was giant and a bit crowded with skiers. We visited there in the winter time but did not go skiing. Instead we went to their water park in the resort called Oceanworld. Only indoor part (1/3) opened in the winter season but it was large enough for us. We fully enjoyed their water slides and floating pools for almost 7 hours. The resort has a small indoor amusement park too. Overall, we had good experience there.

Great stay at Sono Felice

Overall was very good for our family, with two young children.. spacious living and bedrooms.. super comfy blankets.. spacious bathrooms with good water pressure for shower.. we stayed at Sono Felice which was a about 2-3mins free shuttle bus ride to the main hotel buildings nearer to the ski park area. The frequency of shuttle was very high hence commuting between our hotel wing to main wing was fine. However, felt that the service at the hotel reception counter was very average.. staff not too friendly and does not seem to match up with the actual facilities and ‘posh’ rooms.. perhaps that is normal (culturally) for Seoul hotels? Anyway, still highly recommended for a comfortable family stay with easy access to the ski/ snowy land park.

We stayed at maple room with 1 db and ondol. View was fantastic as given the ski slope view. Spacious enough especially with 2 young kids for them to play. Easy access direct to b1 where all the amenities and food plus underpass to the ski main centre. Vivaldi is so kids friendly, with supermarket, arcade and plenty of rides for small children. Top choice for ski resort as compared to Alpensia where we went last year.

Stayed at Maple Building as that was the only option provided despite them having different buildings. Furniture looks abit old but room is big and well kept. Maple building access to all the recreation centres and eateries through basement. Very convenient. Hotel staffs are friendly too. Although English not very good, but simple ones are still fine. We enjoyed our stay and my boy enjoyed very much too.

I like the room that they have given me and the ski view are so nice. The heater on the floor make me forget that outside is freezing cold. There is food court, restaurant, mart, games ant ect just at the basement. The ski area are just 100meter in front of the hotel.

It was perfect for winter as the floor is heated, mattress was cozy with lots of space to sit, sleep and for lugguage. The hotel is right across the ski park which is perfect for the kids to ski all day for days... lots of restaurant at the mall and across the road. AWESOME!!

The overall complex is great as it offers a ton of options for fun. The room is OK but our particular room had the following three issues:
- toilet doesn't work and communicating this to non-English speaking staff has been challenging.
- room smells like somebody passed gas, and it did so throughout our entire stay.
- the floor heaters are on, the room gets inordinately hot, and there is no way to control this as it's centrally controlled. We had to sleep with the balcony door open which posed a problem because two dozen snow makers are on throughout the entire night.

It's a place basically for Korean only. The check in staff could speak very little English. The hotel guide map was in Korean. The restaurants in the resort are nice, but it's hard to order food as the staff couldn't speak English. The food menu was in Korean (although there's picture) apart from language barrier, everything was great. Room is spacious, plenty of parking space (Free). Plenty of restaurants. Many activities to do.

Luggage safe-keeping requires improvement

Luggages can only be deposited from 12pm onwards and room won’t be ready until 3pm. Considering the timing of the bus arranged by the resort, the timing will make you wait for relatively long before you can safe deposit your luggages. This area could be improved by allowing deposit at the counter. Other than this the resort is self-sufficient with also anything you need, just name it. Highly recommend that you visit the hot bath/sauna at oceanworld and of course the skii.

The time for check in and check out is not user-friendly enough. None of luggage storage service and the locker is dirty. Also, Vivaldi Park was failure to read my Hang Seng Bank Manpower Master Card. But it is not the problem of my card because it was usable anywhere in Seoul except Vivaldi Park.

Vivaldi Park, a must stop in Korea!

Vivaldi Park is an amazing place for families. The water activities at Ocean World were so entertaining for my 4 and 1 year old. My wife, father, and I also liked the spas at the resort. Last, the snow conditions were fantastic. All the upper slopes were only intermediate runs but were great fun nonetheless. I highly recommend the resort in summer or winter when visiting Korea on vacation.

명성 만큼이나 만족한 여행이 되었습니다. 프론트 직원의 친절한 서비스로 기분 좋게 체크인하고, 리조트 내의 다양한 부대시설들의 편리한 이용은 큰 장점입니다. 연식이 좀 된 건물이지만, 잘 관리되고 있는 점과 주변 산책로 등은 가족여행이나 지인들과의 여행에 믿고 찾을 수 있는 만족할 수 있는 숙박시설입니다. 객실에서 취사를 할 수 있었으나 리조트 지하 식당가에서 다 해결할 수 있어서 좋았습니다.
