Bar food on the expensive side for what we got.
I stay here every year for athletics comps but this year the price was crazy for what we got so I will be looking elsewhere for next time unfortunately.

Beautiful hotel w. a good breakfast, kind staff, and extremely spacious room (we were travelling w/ two babies and it never felt \"tight\") - only complaint was the lack of air circulation, but it was warmer than expected for October and ofc air conditioning is a US luxury.

Rooms were spacious although a little cool; the radiator heating times seemed messed up.
Bathrooms were light and airy but again the hot water temp was poor.

Breakfast was served from a buffet by staff & there was a fairly good choice - bacon, sausages, white/black pudding, hash brown, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, fried eggs. There are also cereals & toast..
We used the bar a couple of times which came as a bit of a shock on the wallet !
( A pint of Guiness, a vodka/coke, a pkt crisps & pkt peanuts cost us €26 ! A pint of cider & vodka/coke €16 ! ) Bt their Menu food prices were not as outrageous ( a carvery dinner €20.95 )
Bedrooms were made up each day even though we didnt ask.
The bed was comfy. Our room was quite & clean.

One thing that could be looked at by hotel management....We arrived at hotel at 10pm due to a hold up at car rentals in Dublin & there was no food available ( nt even sandwiches) We were advised to load uber eats on our phone & order a pizza for delivery ! We decided not to bother as didnt fancy waking up to a room smelling of pizza & had our expensive drinks & crisps instead.
But our stay was fab

Very nice large property. Unfortunately, while I was staying, they were in the middle of remodel of the Lobby and public areas which probably took away the very nice upscale feel I think it would have had. I it would have been completed in a couple of days, so I would try this place again!

For two of the three nights I stayed there was no water to the bedroom in the evenings. The reception staff didn't seem interested, nor gave a simple 'sorry about that'. They just added me to the list of other complainant's.
On the upside, the breakfast and bar/restaurant staff were brilliant and so was the food.

The staff was extremely helpful. I enjoyed my stay but had difficulty getting a taxi at an early time. I know that’s not the hotel’s fault, in fact they went overboard to help me get transportation when a taxi was available. Kathleen is to be commended for her help!

This is such a gem. The staff are wonderfully friendly, helpful and polite. The breakfast was delicious with the best brown bread ever! The bar food was convenient and tasty. 3 of us shared a huge bedroom and 2 of us used the fantastic leisure centre. My mother is 90 and could not believe e we had found such a magnificent place to stay. Thank you to the staff.

There's something about paying €169 for one night in a hotel that has neither a bar to relax in or a working restaurant, renovations are indeed taking place, which is fine, but reduce your prices accordingly to fit with the offering, too many hotels across Ireland are tediously overcharging for simply a bed and a shower, with very little else on offer.

The hotel is nice but outdated. No USB ports in the rooms. There was a worker outside my room using what sounded like a chainsaw. The staff was very nice (I needed a fan for the room and they sent one up straight away...note, there is no air conditioning and the room was very warm). I would stay here again.

Don't go for the food!!!

Hotel was beautiful, room was good size , clean and comfortable, decor clean but worn , leisure centre was good ,enjoyed the sauna steamroom etc , plenty of parking , where the hotel was really let down was the food , i could discribe it best as awful , good selection for breakfast but food was extremely bland and just plain horrible, we gave the benefit of the doubt ,everyone has an off day and we decided to eat in the bar ,selection was ok , food was disgusting undercooked chips over cooked fish , fish tasted low quickly ,was so dry , my husbands dinner was ok but undercooked chips again , asked several times for drinks and they never arrived ,seating in the bar was very uncomfortable, definitely didnt get that warm fuzzy feeling , had the bar been more comfy we would have stayed for drinks but we made other plans , very conflcting property, i would actually stay again i think based on room and pool ,but the food was awful, salt didnt even help the situation!

The hotel grounds and lobby are stunning, but the room is kind of icky. The bathtub/shower was so high and the tub floor was so slippery, I'm lucky I didn't break my neck getting in. My hubby had to help me out of it. The mattress was so thin that I could feel the springs inside and when I sat on it, my butt hit the platform underneath (I'm average weight, FYI). It was only 70 Euro.

Very dated Hotel, needs significant investment. Smell of smoke coming into room from bathroom vent. smell of smoke from bathroom towels. Physical key needed for room entry, door difficult to open. Asked to pay for room on check in despite paying in full prior to arrival. Breakfast food overcooked, food left uncovered in self service area. No hand gel at food stations. While mask adherence is optional, compliance was very poor from staff and guests throughout. Hotel lacks competition within Nenagh hence the above issues.

We stayed here for one night last weekend. Our flight into Dublin was late so I called whilst en route to advise the hotel that we would arrive until after midnight. The reception staff were very friendly and told us not to rush and how to get in if the doors were closed (which they weren’t). The hotel was quite busy but there was plenty parking. On arrival, the bar had already shut but we were able to order a drink from the lobby and enjoy a nightcap. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
The late checkout time allowed us to go and run the local parkrun, have breakfast there and come back to shower before checking out.
We didn’t use the spa but some of the people we met at parkrun have been there and highly recommended it.
We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Awful experience , requested a room with a bath but should have specified I would like some hot water as well , no hot water in bath or shower . Room was shabby and unclean , tiles cracked and dirty in bathroom . Bed felt like I was lying on the floor . It was a cold February evening and arrived into the room that was freezing cold , radiator hadn’t been switched on . Thin duvet on the bed , was frozen all night . Wouldn’t be worth half the price I paid ! Would not recommend!

This is a beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Nenagh. Great parking and a couple of minutes walk to the town centre.

Staff wew very friendly and welcoming.

Bar/waiting staff were great. Food was amazing. Not a dish we didn't finish. Special mention for Diarmuid, who kept an eye on us in the corner. Really helpful and professional young man. Only managed one breakfast, on the morning we left, as the portions were not small and were very filling.

Overall our stay was pleasant, although, on the first evening there were a number of people walking around the bar with no masks on & nothing was said to them. Also, i ordered a mushroom omelette on both mornings, the first one was perfect, the second morning i was fobbed off with mushrooms wrapped in scrambled eggs. It was edible but the insult to my intelligence was unacceptable.

Dated and appeared not to be ready for reopening

The hotel was not ready for the business it had. It quickly ran out of diet minerals and seemed to struggle throughout the weekend.

The hotel is typical of those built several decades ago and in need of a facelift.

That said the staff were friendly and would accommodate where possible.

It is clear that a lot of work has been done in providing COVID-19 protections. It is great that this and other hotels are reopening.

I am sure that as stocks return to normal levels the items we noted should not be an issue.
