It is going through a remodel, so the lobby was pretty dusty from construction. The room was very clean. The receptionist was difficult to understand as I don't think English was her native language, but I was able to get checked in after a little confusion. I'd have liked a little bigger pillows, but I managed well with what was provided.

Very disappointed with my stay at Comfort Inn. The room was extremely noisy, and the AC unit was detached from the wall, letting cold air and outside noise come in all night. The staff wasn’t rude, but definitely not welcoming or helpful — at one point we were basically told to stay somewhere else if we didn’t agree with the price. Overall, not a pleasant experience and not what we expected.

The pool was drained. That was not mentioned in the website. There was maintenance work going on. Not mentioned either. Lots of noise from power tools. Water was shut off in our room, without prior notice. Front desk person was the only one who acknowledged our presence. The kitchen person was sitting on her phone all morning. Maintenance crew blocking the walkway. Elevators not swept.

When I arrived at the front desk, I waited for a long time for a front desk clerk to check me in. No one came, so I had to call the front desk to get someone to assist me. They were in the dinning area chatting and eating. Then I was upset about the amenities. Online, the hotel boasted of their pool. The pool was out of order. I ended up checking out early because I wanted to enjoy the hotels pool with my family traveling from out of town. Since we could not do that, we left.

Did have issues with HVAC/ thermostat which ran continously for 3-5 minutes before emitting a horrendous grinding nose as it shut down, then restarted a new cycle 5-10 minutes later. Made sleep difficult.

Really a poor quality, run down hotel. Dated, dingy, sloppy, and disappointing. Even the toaster and cereal dispenser were defective. Door on room had to be forced opened and closed because it rubbed in the floor. Pool was small and icky. TV remote didn’t work right. Tub was disgusting, and the paint and caulking was terrible. Even the clothes hook on the bathroom door was mounted crooked. Plugged toilet and no plunger. Chair was a joke. Construction debris everywhere! Never again.

Bright neighboring store sign could not be blocked due to a lack of curtains.
Number on door was crooked.
Breakfast--many gnats hovered around spout on milk pitcher
Parking lot needs resurfacing and looked unkept.
Rubber rug was crooked and deteriorating.
Staff were friendly. Mattress was great.
Would not recommend this particular hotel.
Not worth the price.

We arrived at the hotel and found it to be clean overall. As you go up to the second floor, it looks like they’re in the middle of remodeling—the doors are unfinished and the updates feel incomplete. Our first room required a change because of an issue with the smoke alarm. The second room was clean, but had a very loud fan. While the AC did work, it wasn’t very efficient; the room would get hot because it took too long to kick on. The shower also showed unprofessional-looking repairs.

The biggest disappointment was the pool and jacuzzi. The pool isn’t heated, and the jacuzzi does not work, which was the main reason we booked this hotel. On the positive side, the continental breakfast was decent. Overall, it’s fine for a night’s sleep, but the hotel is definitely lacking in comfort and amenities.

Completely unwelcome - Staff and Hotel Condition

the two main reasons I reserved my stay at Comfort Inn, were both unavailable.
No Internet access. When asked at the front desk,the response was, \"We have been out of Internet Service for a few days. No, there is no ETA.\" This was said with absolute irritation that I even asked.
Second. the Hot Tub was not as advertised. There was no hot tub, just an attached seating area from the main pool. And this was dirty, along with the main.pool. There was trash and murky water, plus damage to the bottom of both pools. Absolutely unusable.
Also, the first floor was under maintenance. Painting supplies and half painted walls, multiple ceiling tiles uncovered, with open wires hanging down, and whomever was working on the room across the hall, was not friendly and rude while I was coming and going. He seemed irritated I was even there.
there was a distinct oder of Pot in the entryway, and in the common room. A group of travellers, I found out later it was a bunch of boxers were having meetings in that room, and were not happy I even entered it to get some coffee.
I totally felty unwelcome, from the staff to the condition of the hotel, and the other residents.
I will never reserve this hotel again, and I have multiple reasons to stay in Garden City year-round.

The first room stunk like pet feces and urine. Asked for a different room. No bad smells but—— tub was dirty, no drain plug to bathe my son. Beetles were crawling across the floor. Sample bottles of shampoo were half used. No fitted sheets. AC couldn’t be regulated, room was hot or cold! TV was difficult to finally be able to watch. We couldn’t shut the curtains. Breakfast was burnt and no milk for the cereal. Queen beds were actually full sized beds. Laundry was on the floor under the vanity with the sink. The good—- the lobby had nice furniture with great colors. All at regular price!!! Unbelievable how we couldn’t even get a decent discount for the disaster of a remodel gone bad!

Stay was terrible. Starting with check in. Receptionist was polite and respectful but the lobby stunk like it was covered by cheap cologne as well as being poorly lit wherever i went. Pool and gym where a joke as well being just not maintained. Evrywhere there was poor renovations. Our room was next to noisy dogs so it felt like we where in a bad part of town. Surprisingly had a good nights sleep and breakfast was good. High praises for the staff but everything else was just awful. For what you pay and what you get is just not fair. Stay somewhere else with a better reputation.

The rooms were ok. However I was bitten by bed bugs. I spoke with the staff and they were understanding however getting any communication from management has been poor. Actually NO communication I getting put off by them saying the manager is not there to ok the refund. SMH I had to leave my clothes and luggage asking for a refund is the least that can happen but it seems like that is too much. So I guess I need to pursue other options because going the route of telling them immediately at 4am, contacting Expedia, and staying on top of checking back in does NOTHING!!!

For a comfort hotel, it's not up to par. The mattresses are terrible, the refrigerator didn't work very well, the microwave is prehistoric. It says they have high-speed Wi-Fi, but I've never been able to get a successful connection.

My son and mom are disabled and i had requested a handicapped room. The toliet was far from accommodating. The reason i chose was the pool, the water was very cold, the lift didn’t work and the hot tub was lukewarm. Will not stay again. The breakfast was good.

It appears the Hotel is undergoing some updating. The price was in my budget, but there is room for improvement. The room had overspray from the paint on the bathroom door. The cable wasn't connected and I had to fuss with it. It's a great location however and will hopefully soon be up to better conditions.

This is not your typical Comfort Inn. While the staff was friendly, the hotel is a mess. The beds are awful. The exhaust fans are loud and dirty. The hallways are gross. It needs a major upgrade. More along the lines of a Motel 6 than a Comfort Inn. We were very disappointed.

I should’ve read the reviews. Pool was out but allegedly would be open Monday. Front desk lady was horrible. Nothing worse than driving for hours on end only to arrive and be treated as an inconvenience. I suppose when you’re too busy with your kids behind the counter being loud and taking your attention, I guess I can see how I am inconvenience. You know, we only payed to be here. No big deal. Free day care is important. As a working father of two, I understand.

Fortunately, your staff was redeemed by the morning guy when we checked out. Other than having to wake him up from his “nap” ( his words not mine), he was very polite, apologized and had excellent manners.

The hotel condition was ok. Needs some work but they are remodeling the third floor so, hopefully that trickles down to floor one where we stayed. It looked in need of some love but was clean.

I’d probably try a different hotel next time in town.

Reservation made FIR pool & hot tub AND BOTH WERE GREEN.

Front desk female not friendly and nothing said about condition of pool & hot tub. Nothing mentioned about plastic hung from ceiling on 3rd floor as we exited elevator. No carpet- bare cement.

Room was fine - but front desk female should have explained 3rd floor a mess AND pool & hot tub not working. Website should have stated ‘under construction’.

Definitely feel should have received a discount for all of these ‘unacceptable’ problems.

Property was re-doing breakfast area so they seem to be deciding day to day whether to open it up. Closed when I was there. Couldn't even get a cup of coffee in lobby. Pass them by.

There were cockroaches the size of my thumb. The pool has rusty bolts sticking out that I watched 2 kids almost get severely hurt on. Beer cans and bottles all over parking lot. The tub looks like it was painted and it's peeling everywhere the pillows were the size of a folded towel. The sink faucet leaks when the water is turned on

Property needs a lot of repair. There were multiple holes in the shower where it looked like they had relocated plumbing. The fan in the bathroom was so loud you could not use the light during the night. The TV was, at most, a 36”. We gave stayed in Comfort Inns during this trip. This one was sub-par.

Everything was in disrepair and dirty. The swimming pool was chipping, there was bad caulking and repair in the shower, the wall paint was all over the ceiling, the TV service went out several times, there was a wind storm the night we stayed and the windows were whistling and letting in dirt from the wind. It was certainly not worth the $185 we spent for one night. Very sorry we spent all that money for a terrible night sleep.
