It was surprising to encounter plastic handles attached to the glass entrance doors. These handles occasionally come off, making it even more awkward to access the lobby. The lobby restroom was out of service, with a tattered sign that appeared to have been there for quite awhile. I didn't see any evidence of any repairs to either problem for my entire stay of nine days. There were stains in evidence in public and rooms ( carpets and bedcovers). When I requested toilet paper I had to go to the front desk and later, when I reported a backed up toilet in my room, I was offered a plunger!

Needs a huge renovation and updated. The front door is broken and has suction cup handles on it you have to pull apart. The staff (woman) was rude to my mother in law. Bathroom downstairs out of order, breakfast awful.
Room was “cleaned” but carpet was gross. It’s very outdated. AC took awhile to cool off the room, bed was ok, and the shower was hot, but that’s it. No amenities- no pool or outdoor area, the area is run down and there’s an RV park next door it looks like people live there.
Don’t stay there if you have other options.
We won’t stay there again.

Besides the kind staff, I do not have many good things to say. The phone didn't work, no elevator, no wifi, front door was broken and had to be pulled open. Cops were there for a domestic problem, nightly parties in the parking lots, and it was 4 days before I saw housekeeping and hot water was hard to come by.

The sliding doors had duct tape on them and you had to pull them apart.
I requested a accessible room because of a knee injury and the toliet was broken and bathroom flooded. No one fixed it. I was asked to check out early because they needed the room for someone else. I had to pack 5 days off luggage back in my car because they couldn't check me into another room until after 2. The whole stay was drama

Do not stay here. Our room had mold on the curtains and lampshades. The A/C was unable to pull the moisture out of the air, so everything smelled musty and was damp/sticky. The parking lot was dirty and trash in it from guests and branches and twigs. There was wood rot on the exterior of the building. The bad thing is this is supposedly the best Rockdale had to offer. If I were you, stay in another town with better options and drive there if needed.

Looks "down at the heels": lots of trash blowing around in the parking lot; run-down landscaping; front automatic doors did not work (seems to have been that way for awhile); ice machine out of order; most pitiful continental breakfast I've ever had (very few choices of food, and half of those were empty 45 minutes before closing time)

Generally, the hotel experience was sufficient. There were a lot of out of order amenities, such as broken front doors, broken ice machine, broken public restrooms, etc. Lot of maintenance and upkeep is needed. That being said the hotel took care of our needs for one night and the employees were nice. It would be appreciated if the breakfast could be improved, but it was a basic continental breakfast.

I went to another hotel way much better and I had cell phone service. I didn’t like that I was not offered nothing. Your top cell phone (ATT and Verizon) will not get service in then room so if you are there for buisness you can not get calls or text while your in your room. The WI-FI is very slow and takes about 45-60 to load. I was so unhappy I left and went down the street to Days INN.at this time I did not get a refund . I made the initial reservation through a 3rd party reservation site and later discovered I needed an additional night. Upon check-in, I spoke to Mariana at the front desk and she made another reservation guaranteeing the same rooms so I wouldn't have to check out and then back in. She quoted me a room rate for the extra night and said we were all set. Prior to leaving for work on the day of my reservation I confirmed that we were booked the additional night and was left with the impression that we were. Just after check out time, the same clerk who I spoke with earlier that morning called wanting to know if we were checking out. I told her no because we were staying the additional night as discussed and reserved. She told me we did not have a reservation and the reservation could not be extended an additional night since it was made through a 3rd party. I explained the reservation was made through them but with same rooms so we would not have to pack up ans check out only to check back in that evening. She told me again that reservations through 3rd parties cannot be extended and Mariana could not have done that. I requested to speak to a manager and she told me the only management was head of housekeeping who could not help with reservations. I and my 2 co-workers had to leave work to go check out and find other rooms for the night elsewhere. This was our second stay within the last 6 weeks or so. We will not be returning in future.

Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged that my wife and I walked into the hotel. Customer service was very poor. When asked where the breakfast room was, the guy behind the counter seemed annoyed. Said they don't do the buffet and they had bagged breakfasts. Paying over $100 a night with buffet included was absolutely ridiculous. The room was somewhat clean. Inspect the A/C vents! They look like they haven't been cleaned, ever. There were little black flecks of ash? On the bed. Don't take your shoes off. The carpet was disgusting. Sticky. Left our white socks black. It was quiet for the most part of our stay. The shower head needs cleaning as it only sprayed out of half of the holes. Cleanliness doesn't seem to be a concern for them. Will not be staying here again.
