No WiFi available, towels were very old and in poor conditions, most of the staff were not friendly.
I really hate to write a terrible review, but I have been in a lot of different resorts throughout country, this one has to rank as the worst in the area.

It's a timeshare property, so expect to be constantly hounded to take a tour. The resort is many resorts and condos combined so there is lots of walking and tons of stairs so it is not suitable for handicapped or older guests. The claim of the multitude of bars and restaurants is deceiving. More than half are for timeshare owners only, and they get preference for all restaurant reservations even if you are in line when the concierge opens. Expect to eat at the buffet or at 9 pm. Liquor is well brands only and very weak. Property is poorly maintained with broken toilets, hot tubs and fixtures everywhere. Sand is dark and most beaches are reserved for owners only. The highlight was the peacocks. The town of Puerto Plata is also run down. Opt for Punta Cana instead. Resorts and beaches there are far superior.

We got dropped off at the lifestyle Tropical lobby and we got told there were no room for us and they deceived us saying we got an upgrade to The Cofresi. Well that was a lie of course. We had yo wait for transportation for cofresi lobby, we got checked in and the rooms were a downgrade to say the least. Two days into vacation rooms on 1st flr got floded it took over 2 hrs to clear the water out. 3rd day one room had plumbing issues and 4th day the ceiling paint of my moms rooms created a giant bubble with the rain water, it was reported and instead of putting her to a dif room, they popped the buble and moped the floor. So when she went back, we notced all the mold the was underneath the paint. Why we got a reservation for the Tropical if they didnt have enough rooms? I didnot get ehat i paid for. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

A couple things:
There are actually 2 resorts here, so make sure where you book your room. You WANT to be booked at Tropical beach, NOT Confresi beach. This wasnt clear when we booked, so we were shocked to see Confresi was our actual destination, because the photos in the listing shows rooms from Tropical.

1st Night: our Confresi room, 20412, was ROUGH! Black mold on the lamp between the 2 beds, and in the washroom there was har everywhere! We took videos and photos, even in the tub! Went to complain at 9pm, they said they would send someone to clean it. After an hour, no one came, so we went back, and were told to wait until just past 11pm before someone came, went with us to look, and then agreed that it was disgusting, and that we should get a new room, so he gave us one right there.

On day 2, people called us for breakfast, offering to drive us to our buffet venue, which was followed by an offer for a couple hours tour, where they try and convince you to buy timeshares in their villas. So simply tell them you are not interested in the tour. They will hasle you for the first 3-4 days, everyday someone new, asking you if you have gone on the tour yet. Just tell them no, or tell them you already went, thank you...

I highly recommend the Italian restaurant. The mexican Tex Mex was ok. The Buffet gets boring, so I would recommend the other available restaurants.

Staff was only nice if you tipped them.

The food was terrible I got food poisoning. The restaurants are hard to get a reservation at so expect buffet food for most of the trip (which is terrible). You had to PAY for wifi which we weren’t aware of before we got there. Reviews said it was good night life and Dominican culture but there is NO nightlife in the resort. Not a spot for young people. Only old people and families with young teenagers. Would never come back.

I made a reservation at this hotel and when I went to check in they treated me like I was crazy and told me that I had made the reservation at their lower tear patner hotel Cofresi. Then I found out that they over sold the hotel and I ended up in a very crappie place. Terrible costumer service.

This is an update to a review I posted on day one of my trip. When we first checked in, the front desk at the resort had moved us to a different, lower quality, section of the resort. Thank goodness for the friendly, amazing staff at Guest Services! Aris and Angelica, saved our vacation! Angelica, the Expedia concierge, was amazing in helping to sort out our room. She kept in contact with us via Whatsapp throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well with our stay. Angelica went above and beyond!

As far as the resort goes, this place is MASSIVE!! Easy to get lost, even with maps and signs everywhere. Be prepared to walk a lot, up and down many stairs as the resort is built on a hill overseeing the ocean. The view is spectacular! As for the amenities, there are so many but unless you’re a VIP member, you only get access to about a third of them. Only 1 free hour of wifi a day for non members or unless you pay for it, no complementary safe for non members, and the two buffets available to non members were very underwhelming. Non members also don’t have access to the coffee shop or ice cream shop, which was a bummer. The a la cart restaurants, if you can secure reservations, that we were able to get into were delicious! Over all, for the right price, we would return.

They were unable to address the non-functioning TV which was too bad as we missed a week of Olympics.
Also we were not aware that we were required to attend a Vacation Club presentation and thus missed an excursion to the mountain that our friends had arranged.

I would not recommend this resort for families with small children or foodies. The food was terrible, spoiled and some of the cooks were using the sample meats that were sitting there for hours and feeding it to guests. The workers were not flexible when it came to requests for milk for small child. The upgraded rooms are nice and the place is clean. I would not stay in this resort. And if you happen to be there upgrade your bands so you have better food at least for lunch. The specialty restaurants were okay, but you are only able to do two and usually is the leftover restaurants. Not very organized. They say call back for cancellations, but that is very unlikely that you’ll get anything.

The air conditioner didn’t work in the first room. Room was very dirty. Changed rooms and had no hot water for the rest of the stay. Also lost powers for a day. Staff was not friendly. The food and drinks throughout the hotel was horrible. You should remove Lifestyles Punta Cana from the Expedia site. All of the guests we met were unhappy with the resort.

The area itself was really nice, staff was friendly and helpful. Everything seemed great but it is not fully inclusive, many things you have to pay additional for with American prices. Other than that everything was great UNTIL I went to my hotel room. We were completely catfished by the photos. It looked like I was in a cheap, motel and I like I would probably get attacked by bedbugs, there was a roach just hanging out, and the toilet did not have running water. I called to get the toilet fixed twice and it flushed the first time but when I went to go use the bathroom after it wouldn’t flush. I requested to change my room, it looked a little bit better but nothing like the photos we flushed the toilet to make sure it was working everything seemed fine until we went to use the bathroom and had a reason to flush, it would not flush just like the other room. I would go again only if I was put in a room where everything works and doesn’t look like I’ll be murdered in my room

Where to start... The pictures on the site is not what the pictures look like in the room. It is a big complex, it shows the room of the villas, rooms if you sign up to their vacation club/timeshare. My family was there for a week; they can only book you for two restaurants on the site. The other nights you have eaten the same buffet. Also, the restaurants advertised on the website, you can not eat there unless you are a member of the vacation club. The television didn't work all week, also no wifi all week. The entertainment stops at 10 pm on site. So you are forced to go to sleep early because there is nothing else to do but look at the walls in the room. All bottom shelf alcohol, my suggestion when land by alcohol at the airport and take it with you. My room key stopped every night. I had to get it fixed everyday which was aggravating. Overall, I hated my experience and will not ever return.

The only great thing was our Expedia lady, who helped book our excursions, meals, and room exchange. She was so, so nice. We understood she didn't make our experience horrible; she did all she could to make it better, but a lot of things were out of her control.

Room itself was very nice but in order to take a hot shower you needed to let it run for a minimum of a half an hour, no exaggeration, and then the drain doesn’t work properly so you have water all over the floor outside of the shower. The TV went out from today to Monday due to a storm it continued to rain over the weekend, which the resort cannot help, but you had nothing to do but sit and watch static. The only thing that saved the trip is the staff quite honestly they are all so welcoming, nice, courteous and just good people overall. The resort doesn’t keep up on things and the place has gone downhill since our first visit in 2017, Confresi looks like a hurricane just washed up on the beach with pipes showing through the sand bottom of steps eroded away it is horrible what this resort is turning into. The place is more concerned about getting you to buy into the scam of a vacation club rather than up keeping what they have already.

I want to thank Expedia and their on-site and online support teams for their strong assistance throughout this situation.

I booked two Superior Rooms at Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort in Cofresi through Expedia, but upon arrival we were informed that the hotel was oversold and were relocated—without our consent or Expedia’s approval—to Palm Beach Cofresi, a lower-category property not even listed on Expedia. After a long drive, we accepted the relocation, only to find the rooms in very poor condition, with broken bathrooms, damaged bathtubs, humidity issues, and even a room without electricity. Expedia representative Annel worked to arrange a room change, but the alternatives were no better.

With further help from Expedia’s online support, we were moved to acceptable rooms after 11:00 p.m., and the next day—thanks to continued intervention—we were finally placed in the hotel we had originally booked and paid for. This was my worst experience with a hotel chain, and I would not stay with Lifestyle Holidays again. On the positive side, Expedia’s customer service was excellent. Special thanks to Annel, Jennifer, and Claudia, whose support was key to saving our family trip.

We stayed at Lifestyle Holidays Resort in Tropical Building 5, and as always, it was clean, practical, and so much fun. The food was excellent—Casablanca never disappoints, and the steak at Blue Lagoon was absolutely perfect.
My favorite thing about this resort is the staff. They truly make the experience unforgettable. Danny and Rachelle at the VIP beach bar are wonderful and always welcoming. The chef at Zen is incredibly talented. We lounged on the beach beds most days during our two-week stay, and Estalin at the pool knew exactly which bed I liked—he had it ready as soon as he saw us every day.
At Casablanca, Jackie and Oscar were amazing. They remembered what we drank every morning and night, which made us feel so cared for. Carlos from the spa gave us a great deal, and we enjoyed the steam room daily along with fantastic massages.
We did water aerobics every day and joined in fun games with Black Panther, Brown Sugar, and Bongino—always a great time. Everyone truly made us feel like family, and we can’t wait to return.
A special shout-out to Churros, the Mexican restaurant just outside the resort—amazing food and staff as well. Lifestyle really pampers you and makes you feel at home.

Cons: A tour of the property is both a tour and a sales pitch for their membership. Tour is optional as per their policy. Employees are very sales aggressive, their sales pitch is even more aggressive, to the point where you begin to get mad. Food was 4star, maybe a little less. I did not have hot water and asked multiple people repeatedly with no avail. Just make sure you check before unloading your luggage. Some areas are off limits to non-members, but not enough areas to make you angry/annoyed. Would not recommend going outside the resort without a tour guide. Family resort/ retirement vibe, limited mating options. Pop or Soda is limited and most of the time is from a 2 liter. Room was not the same as in the pictures and did not have a ocean view.

Pros: Friendly staff outside of sales. Beautiful property, top of the line. Beautiful rooms, cleaning ladies everyday. Facilities/entertainment/ pools 10/10. Family resort/ retirement vibe. Beach access and area is unbelievable plenty of beach beds for everyone, most spots have shade over them as well. Small pools alongside them with two bars and a mini sushi restaurant. Booked a nice restaurant included in the price every night. Access to all the other resorts pools on the property. Shuttle was great. Near Ocean world. If you're able to firmly say no to a sales pitch it's worth going on the tour/sales pitch it'll show you what you have access to/don't. Overall excellent trip.

The staff was courteous and friendly. Concierge Yennifer Perez was extremely helpful in addressing my concerns and assuring comfort. The beachfront amenities were excellent and beach was stupendous. Thanksgiving festivities were amazing.

I was placed in a room that was very dilapidated. Dressers handles were rotted and fell off when pulled. Bathroom was outdated and uninviting. Towels were extremely shabby and dingy. Alternate room was slightly better but dresser was also broken. Towels were also very worn. Friday and Saturday were very noisy. Dance music played during breakfast was very loud. More subdued music is recommended. Ice cream was only available to members at Scoop the ice cream parlor. They should have ice cream available for all regardless of membership status.

I would not return to this hotel because of the outdated and dilapidated rooms.

Unless you are a member of the timeshare property, you get no amenities, you get poor treatment at the front desk could care less about the customers, two different parties and associated with my reservation how to change rooms twice this property is a scam and not at all worth the money They don’t care about your experience and I’ve even though they claim you have multiple restaurants you literally only have two unless you pay an extra extraordinary amount of money to be part of the timeshare ownership club.
The food was the same every day and very subpar

Our stay was a 2 night stay we came on Sunday afternoon and leaving Tuesday afternoon. As far as customer service the concierge of Expedia Yennifer Perez went above and beyond to accommodate for every complaint that went wrong as far as rooms. Rooms were said to be newly renovated but definitely were missing alot necessary things. As far as my room there were missing shower caps, toothpaste, shaver & a towel for our 4 guests. We complained multiple times and Yennifer reached out multiple times to staff about amenities and tried and failed but we appreciated her concern. The buffet around our area was semi descent. There were so many places we can go around here but unfortunately we didnt get to. It was my fathers birthday yesterday made a reservation to a restaurant and it was pretty good . Best meal we had all the resort. The pool and jacuzzi in our area was fun but they closed really early which was a down part. I really didnt get to explore how i wanted because the walk to get to places was really far. We were from expedia and we woke up Monday early to enjoy our whole day and we were disturbed mostly.by the fact that after our morning food we were stopped by representatives from the Lifestyle resort VIP that we were lured by a free bottle.of.liquor but were then taken through a long speech and a long tour of the VIP accommodations packages for about 4 hours after telling them multiple times we werent interested. It took up our whole morning and in the end we didnt want .

First of all. The ac was leaking in every room. They fist put us in one where there was a puddle of water at the entrance of the room. The pools were very dated and I even cut my toe. The food. Oh man. Just very bland and not enough variety.its literally the same food everyday. Their snack bar was non existent. To call yourself a resort and lack common decency is insane. The property itself is really nice. It’s a bunch of hotels in one property. The staff is very nice too. They gave us a room which was in a lower level. The room was humid and smelled of mildew. We had no internet service the whole stay. By the time they decided to check if it was fixed (which it wasn’t) was the night before we left. When you go to this property they try to sell you a membership. They called us on the room phone and said after breakfast they had a present for us. They take you to the membership office where someone tries to sell you a membership. After their sales pitch they give you a bottle of rum. When you’re leaving this place someone else picks you up to supposedly take you to your room but instead they say since you sat through that presentation they want to give you a tshirt. They took us to another location where the guy here was so rude and pushy. At this point our whole morning and afternoon was wasted. We said no a thousand times to the membership but we’re still being pushed and insulted by the second guy. It was really disgusting. I would never stay at this property again. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone neither.

The check in was very slow, kept telling us to come back while we watched 2 bus loads of locals getting rooms after arriving 1/2 hour after we did. hot water only ,3 days out of ten, put on 70 year old folks on top floor.

I booked this resort for my parents, hoping they would enjoy a relaxing and comfortable vacation. Unfortunately, their experience was far from what we expected.
The first bedroom given was dirty and had a bad smell. When we requested a change, the second room had a very similar problem. It took two changes to finally get them into a somewhat acceptable room, which was frustrating and stressful.
The buffet served the same food every day with little to no variety. This quickly became repetitive and disappointing.
The staff was attentive and kind, but overall impression left they very unsatisfied.

Coming down in October for our 1 year anniversary. this will be our 4th time at this resort in 1 year. Staff is excellent everytime, in every department. Looking forward to seeing our friends again

It's not a 5-star hotel, nor is it a hotel for relaxing. It's a good hotel for a weekend with family or friends. It has many areas for improvement. If you're used to luxury hotels, this isn't the option for you.

resort was terrible stay.My 1st night I had a clogged toilet no hot water and a clogged sink. I called downstairs and the phone did not work. I had to use the bathroom outside in the middle of the night. went to the front desk in the morning cause it was raining really hard that night. Front desk girl told me she spoke to her supv and to come back at 3:30 to have my room changed. I missed half of my friends retirement party because I had to pack up my stuff in the room and go back downstairs to speak with the front desk to see where I was going. When I got to the desk they knew nothing about moving me to another room and now had no other room to move me too. They eventually sent someone to the room to fix some of the issues but never fixed the phone. I had warm water for 1/2 a day and it went cold soon after. Phone never fixed. The next day came back to my room after an excursion and i almost fell because there was now a leak in my ceiling. It was late and I was exhausted and couldn't call downstairs. I put 2 towels on the floor and went to bed. In the morning everything was dry. I went to breakfast and when I came back housekeeping was cleaning the room and there was a flood on the floor. They called for someone to fix the leak and I stayed in my room while they did that missing some of my day. guest services came upstairs and saw the phone was broken and felt the water and tells me \"This is the water temp Dominicans bathe with\" terrible cust service to tell me this.
