I really enjoyed my stay in the apartment adjacent to the inn. I had a fabulous time but wished the restaurant was open for dinner although the front desk helped order me a pizza that was delivered. I will definitely return as it’s a lovely place to stay and spa.

Grand Hotel

Beautiful old school grand hotel. Would be perfect for a weekend getaway.

I was passing through, just a one night last minute booking. The hotel had a wedding booked so the restaurant and bar were closed. The hotel staff messaged me ahead of time to warn me, but I didn’t receive in time. Unfortunately, there is nothing within walking distance. It would have been nice if they offered room service or to send a bottle of wine to the room. It all worked out.

The sauna and thermal areas were very nice and clean.

What an amazing place. Close for driving passes and easy to get into Bormio. Were initially booked for 2 days but added an extra one on arrival. The spa is definitely a must do. The most impressive one I’ve ever visited.

The best part of our trip so far!!

My daughter and I stayed here in late April. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and our room was clean, spacious and welcoming.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious and the restaurant staff were perfect.

We did the spa and massage and the facilities were amazing.

We are leaving feeling refreshed and ready to continue our travels.

Perfect stay - except for breakfast

2nd stay at the hotel, last time was 2 years ago. The hotel is beyond beautiful, the aperetivo is the most fun twist and the pools/spa/sauna are beyond imagine.
The breakfast was super rich - however, no options at all for vegan individuals. Everything is pastries, yogurt, cheese, eggs and meat. The only vegan thing was a basket of fruit - but no vegetables. When we did ask the waitress for some, she said the kitchen could fix us a salad for an additional fee. Really unfortunate, as everything else was perfect.

One of my all time favourite hotels. It is a unique property with grand architecture of the 1830’s when it was built and majestic views. The pools are delightful, food excellent and the service was superb. I stayed 7 nights and enjoyed it all.

This is our go-to Hotel in Bormio and we have stayed here several times. We love the location, food, cleanliness, staff attention, service but this time they slip in one area: room type/size. I usually pick the Jr Suite but decide to do a small upgrade and picked the suite. Be careful. The hotel room configurations vary and the \"suite\" we were signed was divided into 2 small rooms...very small in total space and nothing close to the photos on Expedia. We asked the reception about it and were told that it's a suite with a different arrangement. They did check if we could be moved, but all suites were booked. The only option was to go back to a Jr Suite but since we did the reservation by Expedia an adjustment in the rate was not done (not even an amenity or something else to compensate the misunderstanding),a bit cheap on their side. I did this reservation 7 months in advanced so not sure how they allocate the rooms once a reservation is made. For a 5 Star hotel they should have gone a little bit farther since we ended up spending +$3K USD on 3 days and we do plan to keep using the hotel next year with a few friends. So bottom line....the best option in Bormio, excellent Spa, great food, but do check the room type and arrangement directly with the hotel.

Hotel Good - but staff issues here

Nice location and perfect base before driving over the Alps. Service marked down because plates were taken from our table when we had not finished eating....and we were asked to leave the restaurant early as they wanted to get the tables done - most strange as it was not that late. The Sommelier was brilliant, truly professional, and due to staff shortage had to run the bar as well as look after guests in the restaurant. Too many new staff here though - probably a seasonal thing, I hope. Ambience was good, and we may stay again for the drive back to the UK from Monaco as its perfectly positioned.

Spectacular spa, pretty average hotel

On arrival we pulled up at the front of the hotel and were a little surprised that for a 5 star hotel there was nobody to help with bags or directions for parking. Check in took ages though the sweets and drinks available were a nice touch. We stayed in a suite which was lovely and some of the little touches were great; blankets and a little bottle of liqueur left in the room for sunset was particularly thoughtful. The spa itself is truly spectacular and well worth a visit, one of the best spas I think I’ve ever visited but not sure it’s worth staying at the hotel. Dinner was disappointing but the sommelier was very well informed and the wine list was expansive. Cocktails in the bar were okay and the canapés were great, wish we’d just done this rather than booking in for dinner. Overall I would say the spa is incredible but the hotel is overpriced, for a 5 star the service was pretty awful and the food decidedly average. I would suggest spending the day at the spa, maybe do drinks in the bar afterwards but not worth staying the night.

Hotel Bagno Nuove, Bormio

The restaurant, bar and bedroom staff were excellent, dining experience fabulous. Reception staff were very poor and also we noticed were not resolving problems for other guests! There were outside building works in the grounds of the spa which started before 8.30 am and so was not relaxing - we feel that we should have been informed about this before our stay. The spa was overcrowded and we didn't visit Bagno Romani or Vecchio as there was a large queue and over 30 people in the small pool even though we had prebooked. Guests are also supposed to have exclusive use of facilities before 11 am - but we found that the outside pool, sauna and other facilities were closed for cleaning until 11 am which was our check out time. We have visited this Bormio spa many times over many years, but have found that it has become increasingly overcrowded and noisy with children and other clientele, which is not conducive to the Spa experience. This is the most beautiful and historical building in a unique location and setting and we do not want to see this decline in standards.

Expectacular Hotel In Bormio!

If you are into sports (cycling/skying, hiking, etc...) Bormio is a great destination in Italy and QC Terme Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi is probably the best hotel in the whole area. The Spa is just wonderful and the attention to detail and professionalism of the staff is impeccable. Can't wait to go back!

Great but could be better

There is a lot to like about Hotel Bagni Nuovi but there is also a lot to dislike. First impressions when we walked into our room were fairly disappointing as the room was confusing to get to (had to go up an elevator then walk around and go down another elevator) and the rooms are due for a make over. But once you walk around and see how incredible the natural thermal baths are and all the relaxation rooms you forget about how underwhelming and out-dated your hotel room is. It's a shame that they open the baths to the public after 11am...we were lucky we were there during the week but we did notice groups of people going through on the friday so can only imagine what the weekends are like. Disappointed in the staff in the restaurant...fine dining but as we were english speaking we felt that the staff tried to avoid us and paid a lot more attention to those who spoke Italian. My boyfriend and I are in our 20's and chose to splurge in Bormio on our accommodation and I guess we just expected more from the rooms and staff. With that being said, if we were to return to Bormio we would probably return to Hotel Bagni Nuovi for the thermal baths as we just loved them. Such a huge variety.

Nice hotel with access to therms where one can spend the whole day and only 5 min drive to ski area. You can walk around the hotel in spa robe, including breakfast. Breakfast is nice too. WiFi is free and enough for surfing for basic needs. One very disappointing thing is the number of people in therms. Probably should not go there on weekends especially in the evenings.

Spectacular Location.. truly terrible restaurant

In summary, a strange experience; the spa, the rooms, the condition of the hotel were all excellent. But the dining experience - albeit in a ballroom sized dining room that appeared beautiful - was thoroughly marred by spotty service, and very limited menu choices. The \"traditional menu\" food was good - not spectacular - and the limited choices were repeated the following evening. The alternative side of the menu offered prawns on a skewer with vegetables - they were clearly from a frozen package - served steamed or boiled (I'm not sure which) - and served with absolutely no flavoring or seasoning, with poorly cooked vegetables. I label this review a strange experience as it seemed to be a hotel of past magnificence but now a faded glory - certainly not as reflected in the environment, decoration, or surroundings, but very much so in the dining room. I mention this as to eat elsewhere would involve a drive - so you are stuck! With so many choices of good hotels in the world it's a pity in a way that this has to be crossed off the list - it has huge potential to improve and be a great experience - but not at my family and friends expense until others tell us it is worth visiting again!

Bellissime le terme e tutta la spa ultra rilassante, le definirei le terme dal punto di vista paesaggistico più belle d'Italia forse d'Europa.
Non è chiaro quali piscine hanno l'acqua riscaldata e quali no.
Trovo che bisognerebbe lasciare che i prodotti a pagamento siano richiesti e non lasciati a disposizione come se non lo fossero e che sia ben specificato davanti che lo siano.( es cose all'esterno del frigobar mescolate con cose gratuite).

Auch nach dem dritten Mal zu Besuch im Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi Bormio sind wir begeistert von dem Hotel und der Therme. Ein toller Ort zum Entspannen. Einzig die Abendkarte im Restaurant ist etwas gar überladen mit schwerer Kost und irgendwie nicht passend zum restlichen Standard des Hotels und des Bades. Wünschte mir da etwas frischere Küche.

La struttura non è male ma le terme sono dispersive, mi aspettavo di più... bisogna addizionare la visita i bagni vecchi per avere una terma completa.
Ci sono poche doccie (una sola a reazione).
Siamo andati durante la settimana, gente non ce n'era molta, figuriamoci nei weekend e festività.
L'aperitivo serale era accettabile ma faceva molto freddo all'interno del locale.
C'era solo un tipo di thé a disposizione e nessun break nelle terme.
Non posso paragonare a quelle di Milano... che però consiglio.
Riguardo le stanze sono carine ma non era disponibile niente per farsi un thé o un caffé in camera (nessun bollitore e/o nespresso).
Nota molto positiva: ambiente esterno molto bello e che paga per un simile soggiorno.

Considerato il prezzo delle camere alle terme dovrebbero esserci delle zone o vasche riservate per gli ospiti. Gli ospiti si ritrovano insieme a mille persone che entrano in giornata in vasche super affollate. Ritengo che anche il numero di persone a cui viene permesso l’accesso sia eccessivo. Non lo ho trovato un posto rilassante ed wsclusivo ma sembrava un posto di massa e assolutamente caotico.

Ho soggiornato presso questa struttura e devo dire che è stata una vacanza perfetta. Personale cortese e sempre disponibile, attenzione al cliente, ottima la pulizia anche delle stanze. Parco termale stupendo. Colazione fantastica e buona anche la cucina del ristorante però avrei qualche appunto da fare:
- in una struttura così non farei pagare il parcheggio per chi soggiorna
- farei divieto di bagnare i capelli perché ritrovarsi i capelli nelle piscine, pur essendoci sicuramente una pulizia quotidiana, in un 5 stelle di questa levatura non è consono e piacevole,
- non farei pagare, seppure scontato, l’accesso alle piscine del Qc terme bagni vecchi in quanto se sono nelle piscine dell’uno non sono in quelle dell’altro per cui non occupo più posti contemporaneamente... almeno un accesso gratuito di prova lo farei fare,
-indicherei la temperatura dell’acqua per ogni vasca
Per il resto nulla da dire.

Noi abbiamo soggiornato presso i bagni nuovi. Camera ampia, bagno con tutti i comfort e terrazza con vista spettacolare sulle montagne. Il personale della reception, della sala colazione e del centro benessere è gentilissimo e molto disponibile. La cosa che mia ha colpito é stata la sensazione di vero relax che ha accompagnato la mia permanenza.

Et paradis på jord

Hotellet og omgivelserne med bjergene, haven og Spa-området er noget af det smukkeste, vi har oplevet. Personalet talte godt engelsk og var yderst professionelle og venlige. Morgenbuffetten var overdådig og havde alt fra det sunde til det syndige. Værelset var rent og rengøringen tilså værelset to gange dagligt, og vi fik hele tiden rene håndklæder og badekåber. Alt i alt en vidunderlig oplevelse et vidunderligt sted, som vi helt sikkert vil tilbage til.

Very bad experience booked a suite 450€ a night to find that it was on the ground floor looking at the park my place with smoking table outside so we could have not open the Window outside, people walking by we had to keep closed the window to avoid people looking inside, they did not offer accompaniment to the suite (which is normal in a 5*) and I understand why....a shame
I have complained and they offer me a junior suite (pretending it was a suite) they did not offer any compensation or excuse
They offered me to go back to bagni vecchi where I have booked a suite the previous night and luckily it was still available
Poor service poor professionalism
