Stayed at Sunrise and Grand, both have excellent and courteous staff. Lots of amenities that you can spend several days in the resort without getting bored. Excellent Food quality. Only thing that turned me off is the cleanliness, we checked in and the counters and tables look un-sanitized, there are glass ring marks and some parts are sticky that I have to clean it again. We have a big group and everyone of us noticed that Checking in took too long compared to other hotels considering they are a luxury resort we are expecting that checking in would be faster.

There is so much to say about our family vacation—7 days and 6 nights! The food and restaurant were top-notch—absolutely no complaints there. However, the pool had no filtration; the water was yellow and reeked. All our swimsuits ended up in the trash—they were stained and impossible to wash clean. The area around the pool was extremely slippery; many people fell, myself included! Children even suffered bloody head injuries from falling. The shoreline was filthy—you couldn't even get into the water! The whole beach was covered in seaweed and smelled terrible. I wouldn't come back here again! It looks amazing in the photos, but that’s far from the reality. The kids' area is tiny, and there is absolutely nothing here for teenagers! We were very dissatisfied!!!

I had an overall nice stay. The staff was amazing, very attentive, and warm. However, the upkeep of the hotel was a little off. It is not the cheapest resort so I definitely think they could maintain the place a little better. Some parts of the pool floor were breaking which caused my sister to get a cut on her foot. There was a black substances all around the pool on the last day of our stay there which was staining everyone's swim suits and even our skin, not even scrubbing in the shower helped get rid of it in one day; it was like a scum line, very gross honestly. There was a roach in my sister's room. Honestly these things did not break our stay, but they are definitely worth mentioning, and could use some improvement, the property does look like it could use a little maintenance. Nonetheless, it was not all negatives, like I said before, the staff was amazing, which to me is one of the most important factors that play a role in having a nice stay :) Also, the resort is so large that it never felt crowded, the AC system in the rooms was great, it would get really cold at night (I love that), the Hibachi restaurant was my favorite, transportation to go from one hotel to the next was always available without a long wait time, and despite the things I mentioned, the pool is always very fun at these resorts because they're immense!

Everything to be expected from an All-inclusive resort. Great staff, good food, amenities were nice. Only complaint, low water pressure and a bug and insect problem and odor in the room. Staying on the 1st floor probably didnt help the situation but the room was overrun with mosquitoes, again not as concerned about the mosquitoes as much but we did have more than our fair share of roaches making appearances in the room. I did voice my concerns with customer service, they did come and fix water pressure issue and sprayed the perimeter for insects. We still saw roaches the following day. With only a day left on our stay i did not complain to customer service a 2nd time. We didnt stay in the room that much just glad to be back home in my own insect free bedroom now. Minus the room everything was good.

The pool quite frankly was disgusting and in severe disrepair. Several members of our party got sick from the seafood restaurant on site. Service at check in and check out was slow and staff was not rude but also not courteous to weary travelers.

I was really excited about this trip and expected a great experience. Needless to say we were really disappointed. I think there are a lot of options in Cancun and I would not recommend this one.

There was a staff member at the surfing area who prioritized other ethnicities over me. It was very obvious and his words confirmed my thoughts. He tried to scare me off by approaching me at the bar, tried to ignore me, while trying to talk to my wife instead of confronting me. Very unprofessional. The pool area was very dirty, the pool tiles were all coming off, had mold between the tiles, there were dead geckos in the pool, grease from food, etc. As soon as you step into the hotel, there is a musty smell. I had very high expectations because of the reviews online. Some good things I would say this hotel has is the choice of alcohol, the transportation all throughout the hotel, the entertainment is good, and the food was very good. I would rate this hotel a 6/10. I would not recommend it to family or friends.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The resort was filthy, rarely were dishes and towels picked up from the premises. The only wait staff that was helpful were the pool side ones and those trying to sell us a side trip. Everything took forever when asking for help. Staff expected us to move from the sidewalks as they barged through each time. Room service dishes remained in the hallways for days. We have stayed at several other resorts and this was our least favorite, we will not be returning

We kept getting woken up by sales call at 8:30am. They don’t even apologize for waking us up on our vacation. We declined numerous time but they keep calling. Even as we were leaving on our last day they kept pushing. The buffet food wasn’t great. Most of the food tasted horrible and Not enough choices for kids. The cocktails at the pool seemed watered down. Didn’t taste any alcohol. The Nizuc hotel in the middle buffet was MUCH better as well as their restaurants. I would recommend going there as soon as you can to try first. We enjoyed the night time entertainment.

Excellent stay. Hotel was busy but very clean, staff very helpful and we used the app to make our dinner reservations so no issues there. Buffet was very good and items changed over from time to time so good selection. We had a ground floor garden view room. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked extremely well and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. Bar fridge cold, stocked with beer, pop and water. Refilled daily if needed. This was my first time to a Palace Resort and I was impressed with the overall service and quality.

El hotel muy bonito, pero hay cosas que no quedan claro cuando uno reserva, como por ejemplo, que si estas en Sunrise o Nizuc, no puedes ir a The Grand.

Además, pasa lo mismo con los créditos que te dan, cuando reservas no queda claro en que o donde se pueden utilizar y por lo mismo al final nosotros los desperdiciamos.

Claridad en lo incluido hace falta y bastante.

My husband for Mother’s Day had purchased flowers which would be delivered at 1 they never did so he contacted them at 730 and then they got to me. But he wanted it a surprise. Food honestly I would give it 2 stars. Very mediocre at best. Pool was very clean.

The resort is big and has lots to offer, but the condition of the rooms are really bad. We had initially booked a room at the sunrise resort which had a horrific room. Stains on the walls, furniture, countertops and even towels.

We paid another 1600usd to upgrade to the grand which was supposed to have nicers rooms, but it was literally the same condition, just much bigger since we upgraded to the governor suite since thats all they claimed was available.

Its a nice resort, good amount of activities and restaurants with kind staff.

But the rooms are trash. Room service also took 1-2 hours to deliver anything from toiletries to food and this was slow season for them.

This is one of the best resort we come back to every year. We tried a more expensive one not too far from Moon Palace because it had 5 stars all across the board and NEVER again will make that mistake.
Everytime we come here they get better. It was a group of 10 to celebrate my 50th birthday and for Mother’s Day weekend and we had a blast plus the shows and food was amazing. I will ALWAYS recommend this resort!!

We had a really great 3-night stay at Cancún resort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our trip. The staff were honestly one of the best parts of the experience , everyone was friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything we needed, which made us feel very welcomed.

The food options were awesome with plenty of variety, and we really enjoyed trying different meals throughout our stay. The resort atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

The only small issue we noticed was that the swimming pool seemed a little dirty at times, but aside from that, we had no major complaints at all.

Overall, it was a memorable stay and we had an amazing time in Cancun. We would definitely consider coming back again.

Where do I begin? We got scammed by this hotel on day one. When we arrived, the front desk person advised me that there were no king size beds available, even though we had this room booked months in advanced. However, they offered to upgrade up for an additional $620 to a \"honey moon suite\". When we got to the room, it was the SAME exact room we had booked online. No upgrades, no upgraded liquor bottles, NOTHING! We got SCAMMED.. and when we went to the guest relations department to speak with Raul, he too confirmed it was the same exact room with no upgrades. We asked for our money back and he said no. We are not trying to dispute this with out credit card and it's not going well because we have no proof they did not upgrade us, only our word against moon palaces' word. This set the whole experience off on a bad note. Imagine going on vacation and getting scammed by a place you trust? Sad.

The pool was mediocre at best. My friend cut the bottom of her foot on a loose tile in the pool. The pool also closes at 7pm and the outdoor bars close at 6pm??. Forget about aperol spritz, they are constantly out of it. The staff CALL YOU at 8 AM EVERY.. SINGLE... DAY.. trying to sell you upgrades and packages. If you do not answer they will call exactly 30 minutes later. It felt like harassment. The whole stay was dampened at how money hungry the place is.

Extremely unpleasant on all accounts. First, stench of sea weed everywhere. Beach was closed. The pools were very crowded and noisy. Service everywhere was very slow. Tried to upsell time shares at the Grand - signed us up without consent and then kept calling at 7:30 am to find out why we were not there for the \"tour.\" Food at the buffets was minimal, cold and stale. Other restaurants barely gave any food - portion sizes small. Room service was always 1-1:30 hr wait no matter what time of day or night. And they never picked up after - had to wait for housekeeping the next day. Transport within the facility was very sporadic. We had seniors and had to wait nearly 1 hour to get transport from the wedding lawn to the hotel room despite asking staff to call for the golf carts. Housekeeping did not respect the privacy sign. As Expedia VIP, we were supposed to get an upgrade - which did not materialize. Spa service was pathetic. we had to pay $12 for oil! And, it was CBD oil - which we were not told ahead of time. They gouge you at every turn. They entice you with $500 credits which you can barely use on anything useful, and they charge 16% \"tax\" on it. Please stay way from this resort.

We had a wonderful stay at Moon Palace Cancun. The resort was beautiful, the food was great, and there were so many activities for kids—my children had an amazing time, and we truly enjoyed our vacation.

However, there was one issue that affected our experience. We traveled as two families and requested rooms close to each other, but we were placed far apart. Unfortunately, when we spoke with the staff, the situation was not resolved, which was disappointing.

Overall, it is a fantastic resort for families, and we had a great time, but I hope they improve how they handle room placement for guests traveling together.

We did 6 night as moon palace cancun from April 19-25th. We were little nervous before going there. There are alot of reviews that confuse you.
At first we were worried that we been put into moon palace sunrise instead of the grand(expedia pictures shows mostly grand) and it might not be good. But after spending 4 nights at sunrise and 2 and grand
I realized that sunrise has more activity and shows for kids. Even sunrise pool are well maintained and good fun for kids.
Overall trip was great with no issues. Staff was really helpful and kids had great time.
I will want to thank Fabricio for making your stay comfortable and made sure all our needs are met. Highly recommend great resort with great service.

The pool entertainment staff was awesome! They rotate the activities a bit every day for variety. The room was a bit small for the 2 large suitcases we brought so one was relegated to the floor. The bartenders were all great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Lastly, this is a very large property and they have golf carts which can take you anywhere you want to go -- take advantage of them!

The staff are wonderful, the resort is very clean, food at the restaurants is particularly good, and there are lots of things for the kids to do. This would have been 5 stars except we really disliked being sold-to during our vacation. They offered us a room upgrade if we agreed to a 90 minute presentation. This turned into a nearly 3 hour sales pitch for Palace Membership where they tried to get us to buy a $55,000 time share. Also, the resort credits are nearly worthless; there are strict limits on what you can use them for and how much you can use on any given stay. They even tried to sell us a $300 “coupon” for our next stay at checkout. It’s a shame that the company’s policies are so scammy because the actual staff (even the sales people) are quite lovely.

We had a wonderful stay at this large resort, which offers plenty of activities for families with young children. Our boys especially enjoyed the wired lounge after dinner, and the evening shows were a highlight for all of us.

The food overall was excellent, with a wide variety to choose from. We also loved the coffee shop, which had a great selection of snacks, desserts, and drinks.

There were multiple pools with lots of space around them, making it easy to relax. The photoshoot experience was a special touch, and the morning gym classes felt almost like private sessions with only a few participants.

If there is one area for improvement, it would be the beach. There was a noticeable fishy smell and quite a bit of seaweed, even though we visited in February, which is typically not peak season for it.

So I will start with the good:
Loved the overall resort. There was a lot to do, the entire staff was very attentive and kind, there was enough seating space in the pool, loved the kids Playroom, riding the golf carts was fun and they came by pretty frequently- we never waiting more than 10 minutes. The rooms were clean and loved that room service is available 24/7.

The bad:
I will start with he more general - expect about an hour or more from the moment you enter the hotel to when you finally get to your room. Check-in took longer than expected. I waited in line for about 25 minutes ( and i was in the express lane) . Then they have sales people try to upsell you on other things which took an additional 20 minutes. After a long flight, we just wanted to get to our rooms as soon as possible. When we got to our room, our room keys did not work so we had to go back to the lobby and get them re-scanned.

We also had a particular bad experience where our elevator did not work. We were in the third floor and I am currently 7 mo pregnant so it was pretty rough going up and down like that. on our second night the electricity went out 3 times. I finally called support when it was night time and requested to get our rooms changed since it was taking a while to get it resolved and it was hot and humid in our room.

The new room was better since it was closer to the lobby and pool- they also gave me a free spa/ foot massage due to the incontinence.

The facility looks dated, though for an older facility it is well maintained. It does show some signs of wear and tear but nothing outstanding.

I had roaches inside my room, but I wasn't too concerned as we are in a tropical area. The staff was helpful to provide pest control upon letting them know of the cockroaches.

The only downside of the trip was they were very pushy with their sales pitch for us to become members. Pushy to the point of rude and turning you off.

Customer service was good, food was good for an all inclusive, better alcohol options. Resort entertainment staff was meh, not great at getting people involved in activities. Lots to do for kids, adults not so much besides drinking and listening to some music.

Clean room, family friendly atmosphere.
Room could have more storage for a family of four. Also there were very few power outlets for charging devices.
Staff was mostly good, but a few were rude - especially at one of the restaurants- Agra. Also front desk and check out staff were pushy with pitches for either time share presentation or paid vouchers for future stays.
