Prince Albert is a ruff town, the hotel rooms are in equally ruff condition. A lot of late night violence, noise, and disruption. The manager doesn't give a damn and ignored me a paying customer that doesn't cause issues while dealing with whatever nonsense or booking is happening. The rooms smell of smoke, the hot water takes 5 minutes or more to get warm. This was an immediate booking for a work project that I needed until the end of month to find a monthly living arrangement, it was not great, would not recommend.

The hotel itself is not in a very desirable location with hotel having security on site 24/7.

The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very dated, in need of repair and updates. Our room particularly had a ceiling tile in the bathroom falling down, part of the chain missing to chain the door and stained carpet, with a note stating it had been cleaned and to basically ignore it. The sheet on one of our beds had burn holes in it.
The ice machine was broken and you needed to get it from the front desk. This was not told to us upon checkin. While looking for it a security guard came off the elevator on our floor and when I asked him where to find the ice machine he informed me that it was “damaged by a previous…guest” and then proceeded to inform me how busy the night guard had been and asking if I found it loud over night. This did not give me a good feeling about the safety of the building.
Needless to say we will not be staying there again if we need to return.

The walls are paper thin and even seem flimsy which is apparent when closing/opening the room door. The walls are so thin, you can almost make out normal-volume conversations of the neighbours in the adjacent rooms. The neighbourhood is somewhat convenient, with restaurants and shopping nearby, but its a bit sketchy, so be careful at night.

The overall room decor screams late 70’s with a touch of the 80’s. Most of the room furniture and decor (walls / floor covering / drapes / furniture / fixtures) are either minorly broken, or are very visibly dirty, and or might include mystery stains.

Other than all of that, it was cheap and clean enough and quiet once the people next door finally passed out.

This hotel should not be associated with the Travel Lodge or Wyndam Hotels. It was unsafe due tpeople hanging out and doing drugs right outside the doors. Blood stained carpets. Filthy! It is unfair that unsuspecting people could book into such a horrible place.

Liked the room and the price, a few homeless outside but they didn’t bother us. Check-in / checkout was simple. Tub didn’t have a stopper to take a bath but minor inconvenience. Air conditioning unit worked really well. Liked that the room came with a microwave most places usually have to request

The thermostats did not work. Could not turn it to heat and it ran on A/C all night. Had to put pillows over the unit to keep from being to cold.
The plug by the bed was totally wore out. The side light and my phone charger would not stay in the plug. Kept falling out.

I booked and paid through Expedia for one night. I decided to extend the stay one night and was told, when I called the hotel to book another night through expedia for a similar room. I did not pay for the 2nd night because I wanted to make sure I could stay in the same room.

When I checked in the 1st night, the front desk demanded payment for the 1st night, even though I gave them the confirmation number from expedia that showed I had already paid.

The front desk would not extend my stay using the the 2nd expedia booking. They required me to check out before 11am and then re-register for the 2nd night. I told them that defeated my entire purpose, as I was going to up very late and the reason I booked the 2nd night was so that I could sleep past 11am. They let me stay in the room, but I had to get up, come down and pay before 11am.

When I got home, I checked my VISA transactions and discovered that I was billed both by expedia and by the Travelodge for the 1st night.

I called to try to resolve this and the desk clerk told me I would have to get the refund from expedia - ?
I sent all the documents and an email to the hotel manager, and I'm waiting to hear back.

My stay in the city was for medical reasons - surgery for a loved one - and I was not emotionally well enough to fight with the desk staff or change hotels. This hotel needs to do better.

Cons: very old building and it’s dirty, seedy area, Lobby is dark, room door locks continually beep after closing, room floors dirty- my white socks were filthy - no bathroom fan, advertised as full bath but no plug for tub and taps permanently set to shower, tv remote poor, windows filthy, room air conditioner too loud to run at night, no decaf coffee, restaurant offered nothing gluten free (how hard is it to have a gf loaf of bread in the freezer to offer gf toast with eggs?), miscommunication between expedia and front desk, some staff have poor English, my coffee pot had an old coffee pod in it so cleaning of room was poor

First room we were in wasn’t so good, they gave us a bigger room. Had a better stay except for the loud partying going on in the next room. But security escorted them out eventually. Probably should clean your carpets regularly because it was very sticky. Other than that I’ll probably stay again.

The carpet was dirty and not vacuumed, hair in the bathroom, dirty diapers and garbage behind the dresser and under the bed. Food in the freezer compartment of the fridge. I expected it to be cleaned the next day but was not.
I worked for a Travelodge property for 20 years as a housekeeping supervisor and was disgusted by the state of the room. Will never stay there again!

This used to be the best hotel in Prince Albert. It is still not too bad, but it smells old and despite the fact that there are lots of non-smoking rooms, the place smells of smoke everywhere. The restaurant used to be one of the top restaurants in town, not now. High food price, very slow service. We went to another place for food.

Avoid avoid avoid, stayed 4 nights for a business trip, it’s an old hotel in an old area of the city I knew that going in….. but the coffee pot didn’t work it took them a day and a half to get us a new one, the shower didn’t work, 4 days without a shower. Good thing the jacuzzi tub worked so we could at least clean ourselves. The floor was extremely sticky yes house keeping took care of that my thought was why didn’t they do that before we got there. There was an empty bag of chips beside the bed and empty bottle caps under the couch. I’ve stayed in old hotels before and they were just fine. $160 per night and we couldn’t shower? This was the “Executive Suite” no less. Travelodge used to be good hotels to stay at. Humph this was an embarrassment. I usually find the good and not worry so much about the bad but this was beyond terrible. This was the first time I EVER asked for money back, unfortunately they told me since it was booked through hotels.com they couldn’t do any thing. I am truly lost for words.

Only stayed here because spouse smoked. Stayed five (5) nights. Unbearably hot room temp, until weather turned colder. Smelly room forgiven because hubby smoked. We covered visibly soiled furniture with clean towels. We wiped visibly dirty tables/end tables ourselves. Asked housekeeping for window cleaner and paper towels to clean very marked up windows myself. Housekeeping only comes every 3 days. Bathroom seemed very clean. No plugs for bathtub; used facecloth. Bedding linen very cheap and nasty, but seemed very clean. Rug gross, stained with a couple of cigarette burns. Restaurant 6 out of 10.

They red flagged me before they made a mistake on my payment, they under charged me and they wanted me to pay the difference on the day I checked out. I didn’t want to pay the remaining because when I got to my room there was some random man on my bed claiming it was his room and the housekeeper let him in. My bag was missing which was downstairs with not all my other stuff that was in the room. So I decided not the pay the differences. Now I am red flagged. Is there any other way I his can be lifted??? The location was perfect. Close to where i needed to be for my meetings and close to a mall and multiple restaurants and shops. The suite was large with 2 bathrooms so it was great. Will definitely book again.

The TV in the room was not working. I told the front desk the first day I checked in and repeated again the next day to let them know it's not working. I was there 4 nights and they never fixed or replaced it. This hotel needs to be updated and cleaned up. Hotel is a dump.

It was far below expectations. The AC barely worked considering the heat wave and the lady at the front desk never showed up to have a look at it after promising to do so. The bathroom sink flowed so slowly and the room worst of all was filled with bugs and mosquitoes. We could not wait to leave as fast as possible.
