We stayed for 4 nights . Lukewarm welcome from reception on arrival , However there was a wonderful view from the bedroom window and the champagne we had ordered for our celebration was in an ice bucket on the table . The bed was comfortable.
The housekeeping was disappointing . There was only one towel each in bathroom when we arrived, which seemed odd, but there were the usual one large , one hand towel on each of the other days . The soap and shampoo in the dispenser ran out after a couple of days and was not replaced so we had to go to reception to ask for new ones.
Unfortunately the coffee and tea sachets in our room were never replenished . The dirty cups and glasses were never exchanged for clean ones, so we had to go to reception and ask for clean cups and coffee each day . The other receptioinsts were very pleasant.
The breakfast was varied and plentiful . There is a facility to fill your water bottle up with cold water .
We had chosen the hotel for out special celebration , but the lack of attention to detail was a bit irritating.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after a seven-night stay, I feel obligated to share my experience. I booked a room with a king-size bed and was given a queen instead. While disappointing, that was minor compared to the real issues.
Our room was directly in front of the elevator, and we were repeatedly awakened throughout the night by guests coming and going. The biggest problem, however, was that the air conditioning did not work. The room remained around 30°C (86°F), making it nearly impossible to sleep.
After the first sleepless night, we reported the issue. We were repeatedly told it had been fixed, but it never was. Several fans were provided over the course of our stay; some did not work, and one turned out to be a heater. Every day we spent enjoying Paris was followed by another miserable night of heat, noise, and interrupted sleep.
What made the situation especially frustrating was that this continued for nearly the entire stay. Rather than moving us to a room with functioning air conditioning, the hotel repeatedly assured us the problem had been resolved when it had not. We even witnessed another guest complaining about the same AC issue.
By the end of the trip, exhaustion had significantly impacted our experience in Paris. The manager offered a 10% discount, but the issue was never about money. The lost sleep, discomfort, and frustration cannot be refunded.
A hotel’s primary purpose is to provide a comfortable place to rest, and unfortunately this hotel failed.

I’m leaving this review because the check-in experience put a damper on our first day in Paris.

After a long flight from California, my family of four arrived exhausted and ready to start our vacation. While the front desk agent was pleasant, the manager became hostile when she realized we were a family of four.

The issue wasn’t the hotel’s occupancy policy—it was how it was handled. Instead of discussing options calmly, we were told to contact Expedia, find another hotel, and that they would “do us a favor” by only charging one night if we left. The interaction felt dismissive and lacking empathy, especially after traveling with two young children.

We ultimately paid extra and stayed. The room was clean and the location convenient, but the poor customer service left a lasting impression.

I hope management treats guests with more courtesy and professionalism when resolving booking issues.
Would not recommend this hotel for families and would definitely not be back.

Room 203 has a beautiful view and was very clean. From morning until evening, every staff member was incredibly kind and welcoming. Even though I don’t speak French, they made me feel completely comfortable and well taken care of.

When I asked about the breakfast buffet, the staff kindly suggested I look at it first and only charge me after my stay if I decided I liked it. That level of trust and care really stood out—it felt like they genuinely cared about my experience, not just the money.

Check-in and check-out were smooth and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Amazing service and wonderful people. 10/10

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and have had a good experience with the exception of one afternoon at about 3 PM. I was laying in bed and a man literally knocked and then opened my door! He apologized and immediately left, but it made absolutely no sense as my room had already been cleaned for the day and he was definitely not housekeeping staff.

Staff was friendly. Rooms are very small even for European standards. If you want to be close to the main shopping area, this hotel is not very convenient (plan for good walking). East walk to the Eiffel Tower but you are really in a more residential area. Very nice and some cafe near by. Good value for the price though.

The room and location were absolutely amazing! Access to transit is just steps away, making it incredibly convenient. Within a 15-minute walk, you can reach the Eiffel Tower. The staff were absolutely wonderful throughout our entire stay, always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this property!

Booked a twin room for my daughter's birthday, arrived at the hotel to be told they had no room for us despite prepaying for the booking.
They eventually found a room in their sister hotel, 20-min drive away, not near the Eiffel Tower, which I had specifically booked for my daughter.
We had to pay for taxis to get back and forth to the centre, no compensation offered.

The room was quite small & the bathroom was very cramped but the reason I struggle to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting is for 1.5 days of our 2 day trip, the hot water was not running. No one informed us of this & there was no apology for this. When we submitted a complaint they offered us a free breakfast or 20 euros as a discount. In Paris, you’re walking around a lot in the day and not being able to wash after 8-9 hours of travelling/walking was very unacceptable

We were really happy with our stay. Great staff, breakfast, location. The room, a twin, was small but we made it work. Comfy bed and pillows. Updated bathroom, though the tub was very deep and lacked hand rails. Would stay there again.

We had one at the end of the hall that ended in 07, and it was quite crowded compared to the others in our party that got street-facing rooms.

Very deceiving from the photos to reality. Upon arrival the hotel looks extremely run down and like an inn. The lobby is very tight and the halls are extremely small especially in the mornings with housekeepers taking up most of the walkways. Booked a queen room that showed on website a view of the street with landmark but instead got a second story inside room with a broken ac unit that was full of dust and was tiny! Asked to switch rooms and the staff was nice but we got another interior room on 4th floor with no view per advertised. The restaurant that’s under the hotel isn’t owned by the hotel, and the optional breakfast for 15euros per person is in the basement in a compact area. Very disappointed and gave up other options in similar price range for this very mediocre hotel.

We stayed 4 nights, and while the triple room is quite small/crowded we had what we needed. There’s a kettle to boil water in the room, and a very small fridge. There’s also drinking water available to refill water bottles behind the reception which was very much appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is amazing, right next to Hotel des Invalides. About 15-20mins walk from the Eiffel Tower, 6-7mins from metro stop.

The hotel was very good value for money. We had breakfast which again was good value for money. Overall excellent just had two grumpy encounters, the first when we went for breakfast there were not eggs or bread as I think it had been busy before we arrived, when myself and another lady asked about them we got quite an angry reply. But they did get more.
Then when our room key stopped working the staff member was very sharp saying it was us, but then he banged his head on the door when it wouldn’t open for us.
Would definitely stay again.
Cocktails are really good and very cheap at €7
Rooms were very clean and a really good location, metro was a 5 min walk.

This was our family's first trip to Paris, and we chose this hotel because of its proximity to major attractions. However, upon checking in, we noticed a strong, unpleasant odor in one of the rooms. The smell appeared to be coming from the toilet and had a strong, sewage-like odor. We tried flushing the toilet and opening the window, but the smell persisted. It was so overpowering that we couldn’t even rest.

I contacted the front desk, and after about thirty minutes, a staff member came to inspect the room. She acknowledged the odor and said she needed to consult her manager. Later, she called to inform us that we could leave and find another hotel, as there were no available rooms to move us to. Unfortunately, it was already late, and we were exhausted from our travels.

I was shocked by how poorly we were treated as guests. We had no choice but to spend the night in that room and checked out the next morning. I could not sleep that night with the bad odor in the room, and my daughter had very bad headache after that night. The experience tainted our trip to Paris. The only compensation offered was a free breakfast, which was not pleasant.

Great location, friendly staff generally, and excellent breakfast. We opted to push the twin beds into a king and it would have been nice if they were made up as a king. Hotel had the option for cocktails, but we chose Tourville down the street and around the corner for great cocktails and bottomless crisps (potato chips) made fresh in the kitchen. Staff arranged a private car to the airport for around €70. Great service.

My room was small, as expected in Paris for the price. I was in the older portion of the hotel and the door to my room had swollen with humidity, making it difficult to open and close. Twice, I returned to from an outing to find that the cleaning service had not fully closed and locked the door. The staff at the reception desk seemed unconcerned about the issue.

I recently stayed at Hôtel de France Invalides and had a truly enjoyable experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, just steps away from the École Militaire metro station and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. It made exploring Paris effortless and convenient.

The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with directions, restaurant recommendations, and anything else we needed. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and professional.

Our room was clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated, with a view of the charming courtyard. While the room wasn’t very large (typical for Paris), it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom modern and spotless.

We also appreciated the daily housekeeping service and included breakfast, which featured fresh croissants, baguettes, cheeses, and hot drinks—a perfect start to the day.

Overall, I would highly recommend Hôtel de France Invalides to anyone visiting Paris. It offers excellent value, a central location, and warm hospitality in the heart of the city.
