We were a group of 8 mature guys. We found the hotel and its facilities perfect for our skiing holiday. But the real stand out thing about our stay were the excellent, friendly welcoming staff, who made a good stay into a great experience. Breakfast choices were extensive and great quality and the one night we had dinner in the hotel, it was lovely. It was as good as any of the other 6 in the town we sampled.
There was one issue we all agreed on that the bedrooms were all a bit hot for ideal sleeping conditions

I had booked a massage, but when the time came and the masseuse didn’t show up. Also, the breakfast was only at 9 AM on Sunday. I was not giving a discount for having me sit it since it says in order places that the breakfast is until 1030.

Friendly staff. Hotel maybe a little tired but a good base for skiing holiday. An 8 min walk from the Town centre and a little longer to the ski lift. For some reason the hotel shuttle did not go to courmayeur ski lift but only to Dolonne lift.

This is not a 4 star hotel. It is incredibly expensive for services offered. The facilities are outdated and below what you would find at a chain hotel (motel 6etc). Rooms are sparse. Our room was located on a first floor with direct outside access to a public walkway. My wife and I checked out and found another hotel within 2 hours of arrival. In this case, the poor google reviews reflect this hotel quite accurately. After checking out before staying even one of two nights booked we were charged for the entirety of 2 nights booked. Avoid this hotel.

It's ok as a base for skiing, that's about it

The hotel is....ok. It's just ok. I was a ski trip for me, my wife and my 2 teenage children. We had a quadruple room with a mezzanine floor above. It wouldn't pass UK health and safety for sure. Incredibly narrow rickety staircase, the electrics were horribly old, most plug sockets didn't work. The room is beyond basic, we just had to accept it as a place we came to sleep after skiing. It's a base, and that's about it. What I would say is it was immaculately clean, with the room thoroughly cleaned every day, it's just that the room itself was exhausted. Location of the hotel is ok, a 5 minute walk into the centre of Courmayeur. Breakfast was just about ok. Very little hot food, just a tray of bacon and some scrambled egg, otherwise just really pastries, breads and a coupe of cereals. To say the hotel is 4 star is really really stretching things, it just isn't. In the UK I'm not sure it would get a star rating. The place isn't awful, it's just so very very tired. As somewhere to sleep and get ready for skiing, it's ok, but it's really nothing else

Unfortunately, the lead picture features the pool and spa that is only available for an extra charge, depending on the room booked and availability. No information on hotels.com to help you discern the room to book to include the pool. The hotel blamed hotels.com and vice-versa. The experience was less than desirable.

The Spa is the main reason we booked the hotel. No where on the Expedia page does it say they charge 20 euro per person for use. In the end we stayed away.

2-star hotel charging for 4-star price

Don't be fooled by the photos of the spa, there is an extra charge of EUR20 per person, you need to make a reservation, and it closes at 8pm.

The room had beams in the ceiling, which made the room to be effectively 5.5ft high, my husband (6ft) could not walk around without bending...

Breakfast was disappointing with a cheap coffee machine, vending machine juice station and below average pastries.

We stay in the town every year and there are plenty of 2-3 star hotels in the town that offer much more comfortable room, better breakfast with waiter/waitress, and a complimentary sauna for half the price.

There is also a separate charge to use the parking but you have to take out the car at 11am which is not possible if you are skiing.

Hotel is a very clean, well kept property. We had a nice triple room with balcony. Restaurant and bar area/common areas are well taken care of and available to all. Walkable area to other restaurants and shops. My only complaint is the road noise as it is on a major street, and our room was facing the street.

The staff were pleasant enough but the hotel was understaffed. Our first room was on the highway with poorly insulated windows and very noisy. The view out the window was literally of the highway panels. After our first sleepless night, the staff did change our room which was quieter but still a bit sad. A hall light outside of the bathroom was impossible to turn off and flickered all night.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The location is an easy walk to both the village and the ski area but nothing felt special, happy or appealing at this hotel. We left after 2 nights and were not reimbursed for the remaining 2 nights on the reservation.

Very nice. Staff excellent. Clean and very comfortable. Rooms are small and beds are as well. Lobby and entire downstairs is as great as it gets. Warm fireplaces with lots of people to share a conversant over a glass of wine. Liked this hotel very much. Parking garage is small and a little gloomy. Good but not great breakfast. Wonderful scenery right outside front door. Highly recommend!!

It's a hotel close to downtown, just around 5 minutes walk. The room was tidy and clean, but the second floor of the room was a bit hot. However, the breakfast surprised me with delicious scrambled eggs! It's generally worth staying there.

Very friendly staff, especially the lady on reception, Michael in the bar and Lorenzo in dining hall. They offer a free bus to and from the ski lift. Breakfast is the standard Italian mix of cake, pastry and a bit of cereal, egg and meat. They kindly made us an omelette each day. Location is 5 mins walk from town centre. Hotel is decent and fine for a ski hoiday.

What a let down!

We were transferred to another hotel as the hotel mont blanc decided not to open despite having taken our booking. And the room we were given in the hotel del viale was an attic room with no balcony and cramped by having too many beds in it. Once we complained we were transferred to a better room after 1 night, We chose the hotel mont blanc due to it's proximity to town centre facilities and the fact that it did hald board. The substitute hotel was 10 minutes walk away and did not do half board so we had to find somewhere to eat out every night. All in all we felt very let down by the hotel Mont Blanc and hotels.com.

The hotel is lovely. My room was pefect with an increduble view of the mountains. I stayed here on the off seasom and got a great rate. It really was a treat after 4 days on the TMB. The location is perfect, just behind the bus station and a 3 minute walk to the center of town. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I loved everthing about my stay!

Good for skiing holiday with friends

Skiing trip with friends. Late February. Perfect conditions. The town is quite quiet although restaurants are packed (make reservations).
Although the hotel looks like it is on a main road, this was not an issue (rear facing room might have helped) and the walk to town was not along the road and was only a few minutes.
Hotel bar is nice and all the staff are really friendly - I think they are a large family. Slightly surprised when Massimo the minibus driver was singing for the evening entertainment in the bar but we enjoyed it.

Lovely food, cater for all allergies and offer a great breakfast. Part of the main strip but opposite end of main lift and shops. Very functional and was a lovely stay. Good value for money but not a four star as you might expect.

Hot, noisy, smokey, waste of money

It was 33°C in the room at night making it incredibly uncomfortable for sleeping. We had to keep the window open, but the room was right above the terrace with music playing and people smoking. It was like trying to sleep in a bar. The “balcony” looks at the back of the hotel’s façade, making it difficult to get a breeze let alone a view of anything but a wood wall. Absolutely horrible night’s sleep. I stayed here a year earlier and had the end room, which was great. But this room was on the front side of the hotel and as far as I can tell most of the rooms on the front side of the hotel have balconies without views that simply face a wood wall. But the worst part is that the seating for the bar is right below with smoke wafting up all night. Even if the rooms on the backside of the hotel are better, you have a 50/50 chance of a decent room. Nice and cordial staff. But sadly overpriced and incredibly uncomfortable place to stay if you plan on trying to sleep at night during the summer.

For comedic reasons we ended up staying in a variety of rooms.. all the rooms are very different in terms of bathroom, size, views etc so ask for what is most important for your needs. It is possible to walk to the ski lifts but it will quickly wear your ski boots out! We walked the first few days and then took the car and parked at the Dolonne lift, easy!

Great value hotel

I stayed in two different rooms and both were in very good condition, with renovated bathrooms and the bar-fridge was handy. One room even had a balcony with a view of the mountains. Location, while not in the old part of town (which is just five minutes away on foot), was just a short stroll from the bus terminus and tourist office.

Perfect for skiing

The receptionists were lovely, one Italian lady from Rome and one Polish lady. They were more than willing to help but sometimes couldn't necessarily offer all advice on say restaurants because they were not locals. The breakfast staff were ok, bit slow sometimes but I think that is the Italian way. The breakfast was fine, I missed brown bread, only pieces of white baguette but were generally fresh. Usual meats, slices of cheese and a few basic hot breakfast items like scrambled egg and European sausages, bacon or hard boiled eggs. Cereals, tinned fruit, some fresh fruit if you were quick! Discounts from the hotel for the spa in the next village and some other opportunities - the local ski hire shop picked you up and dropped you at their shop, 2 minutes walk to the ski lift!

Located next to the main road in Courma, walking distance to city center. Driving distance to ski lifts. Big garage in basement. Rooms have average quality typical alp finish with lots of heavy wood. Beds were clean and comforable. Bathrooms in very good condition. The breakfast was a bit higher quality than normal in Italy. Service from staff was good. All in all an OK hotel but not great.

The Mont Blanc Hotel Courmayer - Great Staff

This hotel is within easy reach of the slopes as well as local restaurants, bars and shops,
The staff were excellent, on day one the hotel provided (free of charge) our own Ski guide 'Babu' who helped us with ski hire, passes and showed us the slopes.
During our visit it was my daughters birthday and we ate in the hotel restaurant, the chef produced a lovely birthday cake for us and three staff members sang her Happy Birthday, a delightful touch.
There was a kids club which seemed well managed by passionate hotel staff.
Good breakfasts which consisted of a buffet with ample pastries, cereals, fruit etc.
All in all I would strongly recommend this hotel mainly due to the quality of staff and value for money.

Rooms a bit dated and dark, but not really an issue for us as only stopping for one night on route to Turin.
Carparking was a bit hit and miss out the front and there was a chance of being blocked in by coaches.
No Wifi working, as advertised and the bar was closed all evening. (It was not the ski season though)
The restaurant was fabulous though. The staff were very attentive and the food was plentiful and authentic.
Probably better options in Courmayeur, but in a good location on main road and good value for money.

Vi hadde 2 netter på hotellet. God beliggenhet, med nærhet til gågate. Bra lobbyområdet, men hotellet trenger virkelig renovering. Rommene er gamle og veldig slitte. Gulvene er veldig dårlige og har mye fuktskader. Renholdet var dårlig, med masse hår fra tidligere gjester osv. Ikke ventilasjon så man må sove med vinduet oppe, og man sover da dårlig med all trafikk. En person i resepsjonen var veldig hyggelig og servicevennlig, også i baren men i frokostsalen var noen av dem langt fra servicevennlige og ble sure når man ga beskjed om mangel på vann.

Soggiornato con la famiglia in camera quadrupla posta su due livelli con grazioso balconcino in legno contornato di fiori e vista sulla montagna e grazioso omaggio di benvenuto. Accoglienza, gentilezza, disponibilità impeccabili sin dal momento dell'arrivo.
La posizione è strategica per il centro e per la comodità di parcheggio (gratuito quello esterno con barra di chiusura videosorvegliato, praticissimo e conveniente quello interno coperto). Ottima la posizione logistica con rapida e comoda accessibilità allo sky way poco distante, ma al contempo servita quest'estate da giugno ad agosto dalla fermata nelle vicinanze di una comoda navetta gratuita per la Val Ferret che ha consentito, su sagace suggerimento della receptionist, ai miei famigliari che non salivano sul monte bianco una bellissima alternativa turistica per la giornata così rendendo indimenticabile il soggiorno per tutti. Ottima e variegata l'offerta per la colazione che lascia a bocca aperta e pancia piena nel piacevole e tipico contesto della sala ristorante che, preciso, abbiamo utilizzato con gusto al sabato sera con gusto, atmosfere piacevoli ed elasticità di prenotazione. Che dire un'esperienza da ripetere :)

Adorei o Hotel, cama boa, estacionamento facil, otimo cafe da manha, SPA com piscina aquecida e sauna, tamanho do quarto bom, a tarde senpre tem chocolate quente e um doce italiano, o atendimento do Andrea no Bar e formidavel, pontos negativos elevador muito devagar, chave sem cartao e demora muito a agua do chuveiro para ficar quente, hoje consertaram e esta funcionando perfeitamente, entao voltaria a ficar aqui mesmo com esses defeitos

Bene, ma non benissimo...

Struttura con parti in comune da 4 stelle, compresa la posizione e la vista, camera quadrupla da tre stelle assolutamente non di più, prezzo altissimo. Colazione perfetta, cena semplice, buona, ma eccessivamente costosa.
Personale di sala, cortese, ma troppi occhi addosso quando si cena... girano di continuo con gli occhi sempre sul tavolo, cena senza neanche un buffet di verdure, buona qualità del cibo, se non si prende il menu, comunque € 38, prendere i songoli piatti, prezzi altissimi.

Ottima esperienza, anche se la nuvolosità diffusa non ha permesso la vista del Monte Bianco. Ottima colazione e stanza confortevole. Ottima posizione per le Terme di Pre Saint Didier

I prezzi riportati non sono corretti, ci hanno chiesto 10€ all’ora per la spa anche se doveva essere inclusa e ci hanno fatto pagare per il cane 15€ al posto di 10. Personale al desk davvero insolente e maleducato. Assolutamente sconsigliato.
