Beautiful location, friendly people

The additional breakfast charges of EUR 13 per day are extreme. But the staff is very welcoming and helpful, and the hotel is in a lovely spot right in the heart of the pedestrian zone of Cottbus. I would definitely stay here again!

Quality Hotel in Old Town Area

My wife and I have stayed at Sorat Hotel Cottbus on several occasions, and we have never been disappointed. The Sorat has an excellent location in the old town area. It provides quality lodging at a reasonable price with clean and comfortable rooms and wifi that works well. There are numerous restaurants in the area.

Quality Hotel in the Altstadt

Sorat Hotel Cottbus provided its typical high quality lodging experience. Well located in the Altstadt area, the Sorat provided a clean and comfortable room at a very reasonable price. The wifi worked well. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel. One issue: I extended my three night stay by one additional night, for which I pre-paid to Hotels.com/Expedia. However, the Sorat double-billed me for the fourth night at check-out. (I am confident the Sorat will resolve this issue.)

Comfortable hotel in the midst of a historic town

The hotel is located just a short walk from the market center of town, where a number of welcoming cafes and restaurants are located. The town has many buildings with interesting historical architecture. While staying at the Sorat Hotel, I attended an excellent opera performance of \"Wozzeck\" at the Staatstheater. The Staatstheater dates from the first decade of the 20th century, is built in the Jugendstil style and is well worth a visit even if just to see the building itself.

Not worth the money

One and the only big advantage of staying at this hotel is its location directly in the city center - Altstadt. Apart from that, this hotel was a big disappointment for us. At checking in, the receptionist had problems finding our reservation not to mention the fact she could barely speak English. That affected the whole process of checking in as she could not welcome us properly, answer our questions or give us hints and tips concerning places of interest in the vicinity of the hotel. Other receptionists we talked to later could speak English on a sufficient level though. Even though we had requested a room with one Queen sized bed, we had to make do with two beds put together. The shower bath was pretty small for one person so couples will experience trouble \"fitting\" in it. The hotel sauna was nice but you cannot book it for a specific period of time, i.e. any hotel guest may decide to enter it while you are using it and the problem is that it is terribly small - 3 - 4 persons max. Regarding the breakfast buffet, it costs EUR 13. There are several really nice cafes close to the hotel where you can get a sumptuous breakfast for less than EUR 10 and with a better choice. One last thing. The hotel offers free WiFi. Unfortunately, it is incredibly slow. It makes no sense to offer anything for free if it doesn't work properly. It just leads to greater disappointment and disillusionment. There are several other hotels in Cottbus so book a room at one of them.

Wonderful stay

We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel was well maintained, the room and bathroom modern and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet, while pricey, offered a huge selection and since it was all you can eat, a late-ish breakfast could serve as lunch too. Since the room rate was ridiculously low for the quality, we didn't mind the breakfast price. Delightful extra touches were towel warmer (especially welcome since we were there during the coldest, snowiest December in recent memory) and lending library in the lobby, including guidebooks and novels in English. The only thing that was less than perfect as far as we were concerned was that the room was actually too warm at night, especially under those cushy featherbed covers, and we couldn't seem to get it adjusted down. Finally opened the window a crack and that solved that. All in all, a great stay and we would definitely go back.

Ein kleines und sehr gemütliches Stadthotel, welches super gelegen ist. Die Innenstadt und Restaurants sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Hotel ist super gemütlich und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und ruhig. Insbesondere das Frühstück ist hervorzuheben. Wir würden immer wieder kommen!

Ich kam mir wie in einen zwei Sterne Hotel, komplette Selbsbedinung. z.B. nur Margarine im Angebot ,keine Butter , kein Bratei usw.
Angebot für zwei bis maximal drei ausreichent.
Im Zimmer sehr lauter und lang Eingestellter Toilettenlüfter.

Leider ist das Hotel sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Es müsste dringend renoviert werden. Die Betten sind sehr unbequem. Leider hatten wir auch nachdem ein Techniker kam kein richtig heisses Wasser. Das Duschen war sehr unangenehm.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, mitten in der Innenstadt. Parken ist in einer öffentlichen Tiefgarage mit direktem Zugang zum Hotel möglich.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist wunderbar, man konnte sogar draußen sitzen.

Das Zimmer und die Lage des Hotels sind empfehlenswert.
Nicht schön ist die Klimaanlage auf dem Dach und im Flur, die sehr störende Geräusche macht.
Für ein als „ruhig“ gebuchtes Comfortzimmer ist das nicht in Ordnung.
Da ich über Expedia gebucht habe, hat mir das Hotel keine Rechnung ausgestellt und Expedia auch nicht. Das ist enttäuschend.

Die Lage des Hotels ist unschlagbar gut. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nur mit der Sauberkeit im Zimmer bekommt es das Hotel wiederholt nicht wirklich hin. Diesmal lagen lange blonde Damenhaare auf dem Schreibtisch und die Glasplatte am Beistelltisch war mal wieder nicht richtig geputzt.

Beim Check out wurde mir die Zusendung der Rechnung per mail angeboten. Darauf warte ich immer noch. Das ist andernorts eine Sache von einer Minute.
Nach Bezahlung der Tiefgarage an der Rezeption wurde mir ein Ausfahrtticket des Vortages gegeben und meine Frage, ob das so richtig sei mit ja beantwortet. Natürlich kam ich so nicht raus, musste das Auto wieder abstellen und mir ein aktuelles Ticket geben lassen. Was soll so etwas? Wird mit Ausfahrttickets gehandelt oder was?

Das wirklich gute am Hotel ist die zentrale Lage. Das Zimmer war äusserst eng und klein, sehr stark aufgewärmt und sehr alt und verbraucht. Die Qualität entspricht nicht den vorgegebenen 4,5 Sternen.

Ein wunderbares zentral gelegenes Hotel, schön eingerichtet und ruhig.
Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet ist echt groß.
Es gab jedoch zwei kleine Sachen die verbesserungswürdig sind.
Die Gläser der Minibar waren leider fleckig.. Der Wasserkocher ist schon ein älteres Semester. Kabel zu kurz! und noch ohne Abschaltautomatik!
Das ist sehr gefährlich! Verbrennungsgefahr beim eingießen!

auch, weil der Wasserkocher sich eben nicht abschaltet !
Trotzdem würde ich das Sorat immer wieder buchen wenn ich in Cottbus zu tun habe!
Denn das Gesamtpaket stimmt letztendlich!

Geht so. Preis Leistung passt nicht.

WLAN extrem langsam und Fernseher kann man schon kaputt nennen.Bild extrem dunkel und kein HD. Das Model gab´s schon vor 10 Jahren.Und das bei den heutigen Preisen für TV- Geräte.
Dusche sehr klein und eng.
Einfach mal schauen wie es das Sorat in Regensburg macht.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Wir sind immer wieder Gäste im Sorathotel und schätzen die Nähe zum Marktplatz, zu den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die gute Verkehrsanbindung. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber.
Ein Nachteil ist das teure Parken, aber in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es ein günstigeres Parkhaus.
Alles in allem ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen!!

Insgesamt war das Personal sehr freundlich, bis auf eine Ausnahme. Aber ich denke der junge Mann wird sich zukünftig seine Art mit Gästen umzugehen gut überlegen. Aber durch sein Verhalten haben wir eine andere, tolle Lokalität kennen gelernt. (daher die Überschrift) Die Lage ist jedenfalls toll für Leute, die gerne die Stadt erkunden wollen. Und in der Nähe sind viele Möglichkeiten um sich zu versorgen. Parkmöglichkeiten direkt unter dem Hotel zu vernünftigen Preisen.

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Es als design-orientiert zu bewerben, ist lächerlich. Das Frühstück ist mit EUR 13 nicht teuer, aber eigentlich nur höchstens die Hälfte wert.
Das gesamte Hotel und insbesondere die Teppichböden und die hausbackenen Bäder sollten renoviert werden.

Das Sorat Hotel Cottbus ist sehr zentral, mitten in der Cottbuser Altstadt gelegen.
Man kann die Stadt gut zu Fuß erkunden und hat auch eine große Auswahl an Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber, groß und komfortabel.
Das Frühstück war hervorragend!
Wir waren für ein Wochenende dort, um ein Spiel von Energie Cottbus zu sehen, zum Stadion konnten wir zu Fuß laufen, da es nur 15 Minuten entfernt liegt.

Paras mahdollinen sijainti

Hotelli on huippupaikalla vanhassa kaupungissa kävelykaun kupeessa, pienellä historiallisella aukiolla jolla on myös muinainen linnankirkko joka toimii nyt synagogana. Hotellilla on aukiolla oma terassipaikka, ja viereiset varjot kuuluvat kivalle bistrobaarille. Aukiolla on myös pieni posti. Joka paikkaan voi kävellä. Hyvä aamiainen, siistit huoneet.
