The hotel was easy to find and the location was excellent. We had a smooth check in and the staff was friendly and helpful on every encounter. Every room there appeared to be different with unique view and size so choose well.
The breakfast is cheap but you can do better at the coffee shop on the ground floor or the McDonalds next door. The bed was on a round base which made it difficult to get out of but it was comfortable once you got in.
The view was delightful and the beach was perfect.
Hope we get the opportunity to go back.

I also love that the hotel is in close proximity to a lof of things. Lastly, the room was very clean, organized, and had all the needed amenities. The staff were friendly. The rooms and furniture are old and don't seem clean. The price is too high for what you get.
I stayed in a cheaper hotel that was much nicer and cleaner.
For the price they charge I would suggest changing the carpet in the rooms and updating the decor.

The best part about this hotel was the location; if you are looking for a place to stay for a night near the beach, this isn't a bad option at all for the price. However, for anything longer than a night or two, I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel. I stayed 4 nights and it was fine, but next time I'll probably look elsewhere for a long stay in Pohang.
Pros: The check in/out process was very easy, and the mechanical parking garage was easy to access from the road. Location was great. McDonald's next door made breakfast easy. Pillows were soft and comfortable. Toilet had a bidet. The view from the room was nothing to write home about, but there was a partial ocean view that I didn't expect to have. The room was very quiet, and I couldn't hear any neighbors or other noises from within the hotel.
Cons: The bed was very... Korean, but I don't really count that against the hotel. But it was very hard, and not what a foreigner would expect from a hotel. The furniture in the room seemed older, and though I'm sure they clean the room well, it only goes so far to cover up the aging room. The bathroom ceiling was cracked and I could see the pipes and wiring above the bathroom. The carpet seemed old as well, and on the surface it was clean, but I didn't feel comfortable that it was deep-cleaned regularly.

Galaxy Hotel is a fantastic and prime location for Pohang. You’re literally across the street from Yeongildae Beach, and seconds away from having the day’s catch of fresh seafood.

Thw hotwl was a but expensive, but it was worth it. The hotel is right on the beach, and the room had a small kitchen so i could eat in if i wanted to.

Arrived a few minutes before check in time and got key... no one was manning the desk so I waited a while, then started calling the phone number...eventually the clerk arrived...he did not give a normal greeting which made it awkward... I guess thats how they treat foreigners...

I went back to the clerk and told him the room was not clean... he clearly did not believe him and had to coach him to come to the room to see the problem.
Told me come back in 30 minutes....did not offer any discount, meal voucher, swag bag, nothing... I don't know the protocol for such mistakes in Korea but an apology would do... none given ..

The bed and pillows were so fluffy and comfortable. The hotel was very clean, quite new. Service was friendly and approachable. There are many extra amenities that were thoughtful, such as the 'cosmetics fridge'. It's easy to catch public transport, the location is a pretty nice local area, with good restaurants and cafes.
The only weird thing was where the drain was located in the showers -- it may more easily flood the bathroom if a towel is not placed strategically... luckily there are lots of spare towels. I will stay again.

Perhaps it might have helped to have some English translation on the wall commands, as the air conditioner did not cool as we would have liked it to be be and the room became warm. Other than that, not a bad experience.

There are other choices in the neighborhood...
Average "hotel", right in front of the Pohang beach, but no direct view of the beach. Location is great, but once again, not much view. No "hotel" amenities to speak of. This is more like a motel. Room was clean but small, no closet, and bathroom has no bath, just stand-up shower.

바다뷰 예술이예요. 기본 어매니티가 잘 갖추어져 있어 편했습니다. 숙소 깨끗하고 깔끔해요
바다뷰로 예약했었는데 숙소 청결했고 깨끗했고 깔끔했어요. 무엇보다 큰 통창에서 바라보는 바다뷰가 예술이였습니다. 주차장이 주차타워로 되어있어 왔다갔다 하기 조금 불편한것 말고는 모두 만족했습니다. 그리고 화장품냉장고를 따로두어 낱개포장으로 기본 어매니티가 (첫솔 치약 스킨 로션 폼클렌징 비누 빗 변도기 샤워타올) 모두 갖추어져있어 편했습니다. 바로 앞에서 바다뷰를보며 1박2일동안 아주편아하고 힐링되었습니다.
