Great shuttle service too and from the airport €5 euro extra per person. The hotel is tired but I guess reasonable for the price. No tea/coffee making facility either. Our room was large but smelled musty if I’d have been staying more than the 7 hours I was in the room I’d probably have found more issues.

The beds were comfortable, but the room had a mouldy smell upon entry. We located the mould (near to the window) just before we checked out. The tv only had channels in italian. Unfortunatey the 4 star rating felt slightly incongruous with our experience of the hotel.

The hotel was good and met all our requirements for our one-night stay. It is conveniently located near an outstanding restaurant named Samacanda. I highly recommend this establishment to all.

I selected a single room equipped with two double beds. The room offered ample space for six suitcases and featured a reasonably sized bathroom. However, the absence of a shower curtain was quite unusual, leading to potential water spillage in the bathroom when opting for a shower over a bath.

The hotel also offered transfers to the airport at €5 euro each per a person therefore we booked the 6am transfer which was prompt and manged to accompany all 6 suitcases.

Definitely would recommend for minimum 1 night stay as it is an airport hotel nothing much to do around .

Check in was very efficient, the room very clean, bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Only had cappuccino before we left for an early flight but did have dinner the evening before. The menu has many different choices and the bar is fully stocked. Absolutely nothing at all wrong with this hotel for a night before a flight.

The toom we were assigned had a broken thermostat and was hotter than the desert, both days we stayed. We mentioned it to the staff members but they suggested just turning it off as a solution. They said that they shut it off from a station behind the reception counter they did nothing, to rectify the situation. We brought it to their attention a couple of times to no resolve. I will be contacting Expedia when I’m done travelling and have more time to address it. I will be looking for compensation for our stay as it was very disappointing. We were told that the room was one of the “older ones” and were placed at the back of the hotel on the first floor right above their recycling bins that they continually used at the most inappropriate times of the night and early morning?! The first nights dinner was also disappointing in the fact that the staff was very brash at collecting/cleaning the table after our first course and removed my son’s cutlery of his dishes and basically threw them down on the place mat in front of him as opposed to just clearing the plates and giving him a new set of cutlery. When I finished the other lady attendant did take my plans cutlery away and brought me knew cutlery for my second course, (the way it should be handled). We were led to believe by their posting that the shuttle to the airport was provided by the hotel until we were surprised to find out when getting on the shuttle that there was a $5 euro charge??

No, it was not. Breakfast was a bit better than dinner...but not great. The place was filthy...stains on the floors, extra hard pillows...sad looking comforters. I would never recommend it to anyone or would I go back. The shuttle was Euros 5 and the driver left me on the opposite of the airport, even though I told him I was flying Delta, which departs always from the same gates. Stay away from that hotel...FILTHY!

The room was quiet, bed was comfortable, able to control room temp. One of the shower handles was broken and the shower drained so slowly we were afraid it was going to flood the bathroom. Notified management. The on site restaurant was the big surprise! Had a delicious salmon dinner , my husband had the Milanese osso buca. The breakfast buffet offered many hot and cold options-enough to carry us through the day. We also appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport. We’d stay again!

Whenever I go to Italy. I fly in/out Milan. Every time I go to Milan to transit to somewhere in Italy, I stay this hotel. close to the airport and shuttle bus every time I come to Italy. The room is spacious, very clean. The breakfast is served from 5 am. Even thought your flight is very early, you won't miss a fabulous, full breakfast.

The entry door lock was broken. We were sold a room with a broken door, and since there was no other room available when we arrived at 2 a.m., we had no choice but to sleep in the room despite the risk that anyone could have entered by mistake. It was obvious the lock was already known to be broken, as it was taped when we approached the door. Our room number was 1108. Very disappointed.

The best hotel in Milan near the airport

Whenever I come to Milan, I always stay at this hotel near the airport. There is a shuttle bus from the airport (5 euro). The stuff is very friendly; the room is clean. the fabulous breakfast is served from 5-10. When I have to leave early morning, I can still have a breakfast. Perfect!!!

But it’s an absolute nightmare to get to from airport. It’s only 2.4km but taxis wanted €25. The hotel does have a shuttle but this needs to be highlighted more, otherwise it’s a taxi or local bus and that then involves a 750m walk

Agreeing with fellow reviews, it was a bit of a trek to get to the hotel from the airport, we did not know about the shuttle on the way there, on the way back the lady kindly dropped us otherwise it would have been an hour wait for 5EURpp.

Room was very clean and spacious and we were also given a twin room with two queen-sized beds – which was great.

The air conditioning was good as well as the lovely hot shower, breakfast was decent, did the job.

Good value for money and friendly check in staff.

When i booked the hotel it was saying that it was only 17 minutes walk from the airport, whan infact it was 35 minutes and you have to walk on a busy road without any pavement.

The hotel was clean and bed comfortable. However, it's proximity to the airport and a church meant it was noisy, planes taking off every few minutes and the church bell was going off every hour. There was no kettle and you had to pay €2.00 for a bottle of water from the fridge.

There was mold in the shower, thus ruining the whole purpose of sleeping a few hours and showering before our flight. This hotel only survives because it is the nearest to the airport. Seemingly every room was booked, but every guest shared the same thousand-yard stare of disappointed tourists. Don’t make the same mistake we did, in that we thought it was closest to the airport and the pictures were ok. It’s not. There has not been one ounce of maintenance done on this property in years. They simply exist on tourists coming in by the busload, with no expectation of a single repeat customer

Very convenient to the airport however it was very costly to take their shuttle service. $24 for 4 to go less thank 2 miles. The beds were awful. they both sank in the middle of them and we were given only 2 pillows per bed. The shower DID NOT drain. We had to stop the water 3-4 times each time we showered so it could slowly drain down. Stood there, cold waiting for it to drain to start the water again.

The actual hotel was good. The room was exactly the amount of space me and my family needed. The temperature we were able to control in the room. The bathroom was amazing. However, when I woke up in the morning, there was the smell of cigarette smoke in the halls. I had to pay for breakfast, which was €10 per person. The food was subpar. The coffee was burnt. I could not eat any of it. My children wound up eating cereal. The bacon was undercooked and the eggs just didn’t even smell right or taste right. I also had to pay for transportation from the hotel to the airport and it is the hotels minibus. It was part of the listing, and I didn’t think I had to pay extra for it. Especially after spending the amount of money I spent for just one night.

The description of the Idea Hotel Milano online definitely did not align with the actual hotel in person. The rooms were in poor condition and poorly maintained. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent. I was not able to access any websites because of the constant dropping of my connection. The employees at the front desk were not very friendly. They gave us incorrect information regarding shuttle bus arrivals and instructed us to walk over to the Holiday Inn hotel to catch a shuttle bus. That shuttle never came and we ended up having to walk quite a distance to catch the bus. Do not give people incorrect information. If you do not know say so. I will never ever stay at this establishment again.

Well what can I say. Very average hotel. Good for a night only. Decent breakfast nothing wow. Rooms basic and dated. Price should be less for what u get. The only other positive is that is a shuttle to/from airport but is paid (5 EUR/pers/one way). Also don't forget that is a night turist charge per person of 1 EUR. I know is not much but ads up to other things don't forget. Free parking around. I think if u park in the \"official\" parkimg is a fee after a certain time. Apparently is a charge of water bottles in the room of 2 eur/bottle but to be fair the guy from reception offer us as a gesture of good will for free. Btw if u want to walk from airport to hotel is a bit tricky because u need to walk on the road for a while and then on a path so think about it.

I arrived late and left early in the morning, not much time spent at the property but was good enough for a short sleep and a nice shower. Convenient location to MXP and has a shuttle bus for €5 euro each way. I would definitely lodge here again if the situation arises.

Near MXP. Large hotel with self parking. Looks well kept, however, rooms are dated and mattress and pillows extremely hard. Had neck and back aches. Only one sheet between me and stained mattress. No bed bugs found. Staff extremely nice and professional. Asked for extra sheet and softer pillow. Had a high step in tub with no shower curtain. Advised hotel they need to install anti-slip strips as I slipped badly four times. Would put a towel in tub for safety. Had to use one bath towel to mop up floor. Room was clean and very basic. Breakfast was good except they leave out yogurt and butter without refrigeration. Gave me stomach problems. Need to refrigerate all dairy! Airport shuttle available for small per person fee (minors free) every 30 minutes. Nothing in walking distance except an extremely good restaurant with a two minute walk. Recommend reservations or going early. Paid Euro500 for two nights. Gas station on road to airport to refuel. Crazy priest who rings church bells next door until late. Said city cannot do anything. Ask for room on opposite side which I could not hear them. Countryside views. Based on condition of mattress and pillows, no bed protector, and dangerous tub, I would not stay again and give 1 Star. Front desk staff 5 Star for great attitude to help. 5 Star to cafe and cleaning staff for their efforts. Although, please refrigerate your dairy!

They did not put me in booked superior room with bathrobes as advertised on your site, but the room itself was very good, maybe a bit worn and the safe did not work. I also did not like the chaid, which was very cold to sit on.

Everything else wad really good: receptionists, wending machines, breakfast, proximity to the airport, transportation options, location, peace and quiet and the price.

If you want to have a city break this is a far better option than to pay double price for a much worse hotel in Milan.

Front desk gave excellent service. The exterior of the hotel almost looked post Soviet block. Older neighborhood but was safe. Room was dated but clean. Funny point. There was a restaurant not 50 m down the street. That was the best place we’ve eaten at since we have been in Italy!

Could not connect with the hotel van from the airport to the hotel. Made several phone attempts and no answer. Had to take a costly taxi for a five minute drive. Hotel stated that the number we were calling was to the driver but those were the directions stated on the their site. Staff at the hotel were pleasant.

The hotel was fine for what we needed it for. Staff was nice. I wasn’t aware that we needed to make parking arrangements. They had parking on the side that was full but there was street parking which was fine as well. It was a little dated. But other then that with was okay and plus is that it’s next to the airport. We were able to organize our luggage situation while the kids slept and we at the airport in less than 10 mins.

Although check in took a long time, the staff were very helpful and the location was great for the airport as long as you are happy to pay the extra EUR5 per person for the transfer bus which was very regular and on time. There is also a brilliant restaurant a few 100m from the hotel, but needs to be booked in advance, but the food is outstanding and very reasonable.

Ok hotel for a one-night stay before a flight. Has a restaurant on property, which is convenient. Rooms are clean, if simple, but ours was too hot (in February) and the a/c unit would only put out heat no matter what temp was set. We turned it off entirely in the end and eventually the room cooled to something resembling acceptable. The area around the hotel is basically an abandoned lot, but there is free parking available, which is a plus if you have a car rental, as we did.

This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but had no hand soap in the bath for when you use the toilet. They don't cater for children. They don't cater for children and when requested boiled eggs the chef said only the buffet that has been prepared is available. No hot chocolate or other beverage for the children. The juices were too sweet and the bacon tasted like jerky and scrambled eggs like something out of a box. Heating cannot be regulated and bath facilities were broken. Actual door key to get in. Would not recommend and it should not be classed as a 4 start hotel.
