Lovely facility but no temperature control

The facility was lovely and it's proximity to the Salt Museum ideal. However, I have never been in a hotel room where we could not regulate the temperature before. Apparently, there is a master control and we froze all night. Opening the window to warm up was not an option because of insects, so there was no way to regulate the temperature. Also, the 10 am check out is a bit premature given the isolation -- 11 would be better. The breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is lovely. In the nature reserve next to the salt museum. Everything really clean, had a really great breakfast. Friendly staff. Lots of parking.
The pool looked lovely too but didn't have time to use.
Would definitely recommend.

We loved the proximity to salt marshes for seeing flamingos and other birds plus the salt museum was interesting. The hotel is delightful, staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast was outstanding! This all made for an ideal location for us for a couple of nights.

Although the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, apart from the salt museum being within walking distance, there is not much else around. The building where the museum is, is also the restaurant for the hotel, should you wish to use it. There are no other options for an evening meal.
The hotel itself, is very good. Breakfast is excellent and all the staff are brilliant. The hotel is very clean, and we were sorry to leave.

The property is in a quiet location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only negative aspect was related to their restaurant where they completely forgot my food order (my wife was served promptly) which only appeared after two hours and several requests by which time we had finished the wine. We had a long travel day and by that time is was very late so I refused the food. Incidentally the restaurant appears to be a separate operation in a location remote from the hotel so my previous positive comments relate to the hotel not the restaurant.

Peaceful Hotel Next to Salt Pans

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in March 2018. It is easy to get to by car, and there is a large parking lot. For first time drivers in Sicily, this is a very welcome feature. While the location is somewhat isolated, we appreciated the peace and serenity after staying in Siracusa, Taormina, and Cefalù. There is a small grocery store about 10 minutes away by car, so you can easily get what you need.

The staff members were friendly, and we had no issues with check in, our room, or checkout. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. We liked having an electric kettle in our room for tea. Our room had a huge, private terrace. It was fun to spend some time outside enjoying the warm afternoon sun.

The breakfast foods were of high quality and enough variety to keep things interesting. The breakfast room is bright and cheery - a great way to start the day!

We would recommend this hotel to other travelers, and we would definitely stay here again.

Romantic getaway from city routine

The hotel is not poshy, but has everything what is needed. The biggest advantage that it is very cosy.
I would say its suitable for 1 to max 3 days city getaway holidays or for car travelers to have longer rest.

The breakfast was just fine - basically Italian style, but also fresh natural orange juice and seasonal and usual fruits were available.

Before the trip I saw some negative comments about staff, but I must say that personnel was very polite and helpful.

Nice room, not sure about the restaurant

Hotel fine. Facilities as described. We were told where the restaurant was when we checked in, but not that we would need to book a table. They did give a table outside, which we took. It was a little late in the year for an outside table at a restaurant on the coast. Food was OK, but the poorest we have had during our stay in Sicily. Restaurant service was also poor. There is better to be had in Trapani. Only one meat dish on the menu.
Stay in the hotel, but eat elsewhere.

Nice hotel in an unusual but attractive setting

We had a really good week. Trapani is a 10 minute drive away. There are lots of restaurants and things to do in the town but we liked being able to get away from the crowds. There is the restaurant down the lane which is good and convenient if you don't want to go far.

A man's best friend

Expensive. Staff friendly and breakfast good. Room had no view with high level windows which made it a bit dark and cell like. The hotel has a wonderful Alsatian dog which escorted me to the restaurant at the Museum of Salt, appeared to wait outside and escorted me back to the hotel along a dark unlit track.

Fascinating location bit lacking 4 star features.

First, the good things. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The location is wonderful; right in the middle of the salt pans. It is fascinating to watch them producing the salt, and the area is a gift for photographers. The 'guard dog', Jeanne-Paul is a poppet!
The not so good things: Amazingly there are no electric sockets in the room. You have to unplug the TV to use a socket! The ground floor rooms have a barred window that is so high up the wall that you can't see out. The upgraded rooms on the first floor have larger windows (with a view). Since they have eradicated much of the old farmhouse in the conversion into a hotel they could easily have inserted large ground floor windows. There were no drinking glasses in the room, just a couple of flimsy plastic cups. We had to ask for wine glasses. There are no tea-making facilities. The shower, in the ground floor bathrooms at least, is small and cramped.
Overall, the hotel is pleasant, clean and friendly. Although in a fairly remote spot (a car is essential), it has a fascinating hinterland. I would hesitate to give it 4 stars though. A good three is more appropriate.

Not a four star property!

We stayed for one night, prior to flying home. We were looking for somewhere peaceful and close to the airport and this ticked the box. On arrival we were greeted warmly. However, the room was tired, the bathroom needed serious cleaning, as did surfaces in the bedroom. The decor of the whole place is very 80s. Bed mattresses have had the their best days. Pool towels had run out (!) so we were given bath towels. But not with a smile! Strange they ran out, as it's quite a small property. The in room mini bar was sparse. When we inquired to the whereabouts of the itemized white wine, we were told it had \"run out\" and to ask for glasses at the bar. We didn't get to the sample breakfast, because we had an early start, one which was jolted by the fact the hotel's large dog was waiting for us at reception, but no member of staff accompanying him. On the plus side the place is in the middle of the Salt Pans, definitely scenic around the Salt museum (which is v close by) at sunset and circa a 20min car journey to Trapani which is a MUST see place. Much prettier and more interesting in the centre of Trapani that we had thought..

A quiet paradise!

Our family of five have just returned from a perfect stay at Relais Antiche Saline. This Hotel is not for everybody. If you are looking for a wild and exciting time you won't find it and you simply must have a car. Accepting these conditions you will enjoy the most relaxing experience imaginable, lovely weather, lovely food, lovely ambience, lovely people, great service and Peace! The Hotel also boasts a uniqueness that is not easy to describe or quantify, but adds to the overall experience. All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending Relais Antiche Saline as a genuine 4-star product.

Wonderfully relaxing

This is a really lovely hotel, set among beautiful scenery, in a very tastefully restored old building. The quality of service was excellent, and the pool was the perfect place to relax. Food in the restaurant was very good, but pricey, so it is worth finding other places to eat for some nights.

Hôtel perdu dans les marais salants. On est donc loin de tout, mais ça a du charme et le mérite d'être très calme. La chambre est bien, spacieuse quoique un peu sombre. La douche est petite et l'eau chaude n'était pas très chaude. Pas de restauration sur place pour le dîner et on nous propose le restaurant la tour de Nubia qui est juste à côté mais très mal noté sur les sites spécialisés. Donc obligé de reprendre la voiture et d'aller vers Paceco ou Trapani pour manger. Le petit déjeuner est top. Très complet et très goûteux. Quasiment pas d'internet malgré le wifi de l'hôtel.

Ambiente tranquillo, lontano dal traffico, la camera assegnataci era troppo calda e il condizionatore doveva andare 24h. Personale gentilissimo e presente ad ogni richiesta. il ns breve soggiorno è stato caratterizzato dal non funzionamento del ristorante, di conseguenza per cenare ci si è dovuti spostare in una struttura esterna e anche se vicina, occorreva un mezzo.

Un’oasi di tranquillità

Bellissima struttura poco distante da Trapani. Un luogo perfetto dove immergersi nel silenzio e nella tranquillità, lontano dal traffico cittadino. Resort meraviglioso. Personale gentile, parcheggio comodissimo e pulizia al top. Piscina e idromassaggio fantastici in una location spettacolare. Il ristorante del resort( con annesso museo e mulino a vento) da raggiungere a piedi camminando in mezzo alle saline ( o anche in auto volendo) merita una cena romantica al tramonto. Relais immerso nelle saline di Trapani… che dire… silenzio e panorama stupendo. Personale gentile e disponibile. Molto bella la struttura, curata nei particolari. Bellissima la piscina e l’idtomassaggio. A circa 300 metri dal Relais c’è il ristorante: bellissima location dove abbiamo mangiato benissimo, con porzioni abbondanti e prezzi ok!

L’hotel è in una posizione incantevole, accanto alla riserva naturale delle saline di Paceco. La struttura è molto gradevole anche dal punto di vista estetico, e proprio rilassante, con un bel giardino con la piscina e molti spazi aperti per il relax. Spettacolare la vista sulle Egadi e sulle saline. Personale gentilissimo e super efficiente.

Tolles Hotel in mitten der Salinen von Trapani. Sehr schöne Anlage, welche zu einem Salzabbaubetrieb gehört, das auch das Museo del Sale und das Restaurant in Schrittdistanz betreibt. Alles sehr sauber und einladend. Tolle Aussicht auf die Salinen und aufs Meer, genügend Parkplätze und üppiges Frühstücksbuffet. Würden es wieder buchen.

Für Ruhesuchende in einzigartiger Umgebung

Das Hotel mit wunderbarem Pool liegt abseits bei Torre Nubia im Riserva Natural integrale Saline do Trapani e Paceco.
Wir waren bereits zum dritten Mal für ein paar Tage dort.
Alles ist sehr sauber und die wunderbare Poolanlage überzeugt.
Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und Klasse und das dazugehörige Restaurant beim nahe liegenden Salzmuseum ist zu empfehlen. Abends kann man herrliche Sonnenuntergänge beobachten.
Ausflüge in die Umgebung wie nach Trapani, Erice, die ägadischen Inseln, Mozia, Marsala und Mazza del Vallo Bitten sich aufgrund der Nähe auch an.

Tellement accueillant et chaleureux!
L’hôtel est magnifique.
Le personnel est tellement attentionné et gentil.
La chambre était grande, propre et confortable.
Il y a un jardin avec une piscine, jacussi et avec plusieurs chaises longues.
Le musée de sel est à 3 minutes de marche.
Il y a un excellent restaurant dans le moulin juste à côté.
Le déjeuner était très bon.
Je recommande cet hôtel.

Immerso nel verde, sono da apprezzare tranquillità e relax che si possono apprezzare. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, in particolare il barman che ci ha dato ottimi consigli. Unica pecca la posizione; occorre spostarsi sempre per la cena, a meno di non cenare nella vicina trattoria del sale. Nel complesso un buon hotel, forse non esattamente un 4 stelle ma consigliabile.

Bonito hotel en interesante enclave

Hotel ubicado en interesante lugar como son las salinas. Ideal para el descanso. Restaurante a 100 m., de los mismos propietarios, junto a un pequeño museo también de los mismos. Parking gratuito.

Nice quiet location away from it all.

Sadly, the hotel restaurant was closed and this was not mentioned on the website. Nearest restaurant was over 5 miles away. Great shame as we selected this hotel expecting to have dinner there.

Les Marais salants au bord de l'hôtel !!

Très bel établissement dans un emplacement naturel superbe et à proximité immédiate de Trapani. on peu juste regretter l'absence de connexion Wifi ailleurs que dans le hall d'accueil.

Rust en ontspanning

Fantastisch hotel. Ontbijt beetje beperkt maar dat is het enige minpuntje en wij zijn geen makkelijke mensen. Uitzicht vanaf ons terras is adembenemend. Niet twijfelen om wat meer te betalen voor het terras. Elke cent waard!!!!

We gaan het nooit vergeten!

Un trop court séjour

Le site des salines est sauvage et préservé, dans une réserve naturelle.
A proximité d'Erice et de Trapani qui méritent la visite.
Un havre de paix et de détente.
Tout est simple et de bon gout.
Profitez du couché de soleil sur les salines, depuis le restaurant de l’hôtel situé dans un vieux moulin.
Profitez du frais de la piscine après une chaude journée.

Avons séjourné dans 2 autres hôtels 4etoiles , celui ci est très en dessous pour la chambre , la restauration , les équipements et le personnel. On a l'impression que ce ne sont pas des professionnels de l'hôtellerie .

hotel situato in posizione strategica per raggiungere comodamente i dintorni. Particolare in mezzo alle saline, molto romantico. Personale gentilissimo e attento. Parcheggio comodissimo davanti l'hotel. Consigliato a chi vuole una base comoda per spostarsi nei dintorni con la macchina. A pochissimi -Km dall'aereoporto di Trapani

Excellent hôtel

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour (fin mars), la piscine n'était hélas pas encore fonctionnelle (mais on a pu se rabattre sur le jacuzzi) mais l'endroit est charmant et le petit déjeuner était excellent ! De plus, le prix de la chambre était plus que correct.

hotel charmant

nous sommes arrives très tard et nous avons était très bien accueilli le petit déjeuner est bon et copieux. chambre propre et au calme
l'attention sur le lit (petit sachet de sel ) est sympathique.
la seule difficulté est l'accès impossible a trouver sans GPS et encore! on est au bout du monde . il faudrait des panneaux
fléchés visibles cela favoriserait l'accès a cet hotel et serait un plus pour eux. séjour en mars donc peu de monde résultat sejour au calme tres bien.

Petit charme

Il relais è stato la base di appoggio per un viaggio itinerante di 10 giorni nel trapanese, alla scoperta delle insigni vestigia storiche, degli incantevoli scorci marini, dell'interessante entroterra.... e della cucina. Apprezzato l'ambiente delle saline in cui il relais si inserisce con armonia.
Eccellenti l'accoglienza e la professionalità del personale dello staff.
