Staff were positive and friendly however we had a burnt out lightbulb which didn’t get replaced.

Lights in the lounge at night are low wattage and the lounge is poorly lit making reading difficult.
Having said that - would we stay there again? Yes. Very handy to the village.

This is an adorable location in a quaint area. We arrived late in the evening and didn’t get to utilize the spa and pool, but they looked impressive. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitively recommend.

The hotel is quite dirty, and things were falling apart. For example our hotel room door handle fell off on both sides. The shower had black mould on the tiles, there were watermarks around the basin. The sofa was stained and generally everything was quite poor. I am just glad that we only had to stay for one night.

Great location and comfortable beds but carpets and furniture need replacement throughout. Bathtub shower has no glass or curtain and water ended up everywhere. Also in the apartment, a dish towel and soap would be helpful since they ask for the dishes to be clean and put away.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable and overall clean. The lobby area rugs and walkways are dirty. The room cleaning service was very poor. They made the bed halfway, they left dirty towels untouched, they left the tv remote within the bed sheets. One of the light bulbs in the room was burnt out. The bathroom is “italian style” (no shower curtain) and the water would flood the entire bathroom very easily.

The kitchenette had no sponges to wash, or tea towels to dry pots with. And yet they want to charge you €50 extra if you don’t wash the pots and put them away! No dishwasher tablets provided either. This is a 4* hotel, not a youth hostel….or is it? I could not sit on the sofa because it was so uncomfortable and uneven. The two shower heads could not be used independently. Which meant the rainfall shower head was on permanently which I don’t like as I get my hair wet, and don’t always want to wash it. The hot tub was very nice. The suite we had was in need of refurbishment, I felt. I did wonder if we’d been given that suite because we had a dog. I’ve stayed once before. And again I think the whole establishment is in need of refurbishment. The greatest plus for this hotel is its proximity to Pezenas centre.

Beautiful hotel with great suite on the roof with own whirlpool. Great team. City center is literally 3 minutes walk. Only disadvantage is breakfast. Was very busy, coffee is not what you would expect from France. Next time i would have breakfast in the city.

We used the spa this time and it was very good, 2 hours booked for just two people to use the facilities.

We booked this place based on the incredible photos of the pool and suites. It exceeded expectations. Views from the huge balcony were amazing and the two bedroom suite was massive. Staff were super helpful, especially with arranging taxi service (in a town where there's very few options). Would definitely stay here again.

Property itself is fine. We had a huge suite, but the kitchenette lacked basic cooking utensils and we even had to ask for a couple of bowls. So they need to make a trip to IKEA and stock up the rooms a little. Interesting location with it’s private bridge over the drainage canal to get into town.

A lovely, quirky, very French hotel. It is perfectly placed to walk into Pezenas, one of our favourite French towns. Our suite was huge with two rooms and a small balcony. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only drawback for me was the set up in the bathroom - the mirror was so high, I had to stand on tiptoe and the wet room floor ( which also contained the toilet) stayed wet all day. This would not stop us returning however and I am sure we will.

Beautiful place for an overnight stay. Parking was very tight as the car park was full but we managed, the accommodation is lovely and with in a short walking distance to the town where there are many opportunities for food and beverage. Had a lovely big room with a hot tub which was made full use of. Would happily stay again and wished we'd stayed longer.

We phoned the day before we arrived for our 10 day stay and was told everything was still ok! when we arrived we were THEN told we could only stay for three nights as they were closing on the Friday! Because there was a fete day (11/11) in the middle of the following week.
due to Covid it was very difficult to find some where else at short notice if we had been told when we phoned we may have had more chance. We saw NO cleaners and our rooms were not cleaned while we were there I even had to ask for toilet paper, the fridge in the room hadn’t been cleaned and the freezer compartment was disgusting old freezer bags still in there!
I am very disappointed with the whole thing as we weren’t even given an apology, discount or anything by luck someone we work with got us a villa. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!

Just slightly off the beaten track!

Stopped off on a cross country trip from Barcelona.
Warm greeting from Andrew and off to a very pleasant room on the third floor with a small terrace.
Considering the price paid the room was well above what I had expected.
This is a hotel where the rooms actually look like the pictures!
Will use again for sure.
We did not try the bistro as it was empty as we left. On returning later that night it was busy and we would definitely give it a try on our next visit.

We love Pèzenas and this hotel is in a great location to explore it - right in the centre, but with easy access to the hotel by car and free car parking. Our room was more a mini apartment with kitchenette and decent facilities. This hotel could be amazing with a little more attention to detail- some of fixtures and fittings are a bit tired and worn, lots of dead plants in pots on terraces etc. Our room was in the eaves and therefore had really limited head height in bedroom and kitchen area- not ideal. The staff were pleasant enough when you saw them - just not very forthcoming or visible. Reception often vacant, no one in Spa, bar left unattended- felt like they were busy doing other things- just not sure what! Would we return? Probably yes. Could it be better with a little TLC? Definitely yes!

The hotel has fantastic facilities and is extremely close to the centre of Pezenas via a private bridge across the canal. Onsite parking is excellent especially as Pezenas parking is hectic at best. There is a carrifour 5 mins drive away if you are self catering or if you prefer you can take advantage of the superb restaurants the village has to offer.

Hotel was beautiful. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Only criticism is lack of privacy on the balcony, they had planters as dividers with no plants in them so you can see right in to your neighbour.
The staff were amazing, Stephan and his team were superb.

Great hotel in a great town

We stayed two nights in the Executive Suite, chosen because it had a private hot tub on the balcony - wonderful! The kitchenette was a big disappointment, as though it had a hob, microwave and fridge, there was nothing else - no pans, plates, or cutlery even. Clearly, they don’t want any food prep going on. Everything else about the suite was great - comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the building itself - an old distillery - is interesting, with an excellent location for both visiting the lovely town of Pézenas on foot by day, and being in a little haven of peace and quiet by night.

Lovely peaceful Hotel

WE stayed at Garrigae for three nights. The room was minimalistic and could have done with more hangers in the wardrobe and also some drawer space. The lighting was very subdued even with all the lights on. Lovely large bed, very comfortable. The kitchenette area was depleted, 1 wine glass and 2 mugs!
The shower was in the WC cubicle and so however careful you were the area all round the WC and into the bathroom were flooded every time it was used. Breakfast overpriced. Did not use Bistro as all the table were very high with high stools which I was unable to get up onto. Good position for visiting the town.

Fantastic Hotel, wonderful staff,great food.

My wife and I have just returned from a weeks stay at this Hotel. We were greeted by Stefan at reception who was absolutely brilliant. He was extremely helpful, with excellent English and he assisted us throughout our stay. The room was great, clean and had a kettle, fridge, microwave and tea/coffee supplies. The spa consisted of a sauna and large jacuzzi which could hold about 10 or 12 people, some beds and a cushioned area for relaxing. (Various Treatments are also available if pre-booked). The Restaurant was of a very high standard and was run by Ronolfo who did a really great job. He took care of us really well and friends and family who visited us at the hotel during our stay were really impressed. The hotel itself is chic and peaceful with a really relaxed and informal atmosphere which everyone enjoyed. The continental breakfast is good value and worth booking. We were so impressed we have booked rooms there along with about 50 of our family and friends for a wedding weekend. I cannot give a better endorsement than that.

A very French hotel.

Our stay was in an upgraded apartment (with no request on our part) consisting of a large sitting, dining and kitchenette space, bedroom and large bathroom with shower and bath. The apartment had a large balcony with loungers and a table and chairs. The room was thoroughly cleaned and serviced daily with changes of towels, and a partly blocked sink was dealt with promptly.The comfortable accommodation and friendly staff made our stay very enjoyable.
Pezenas is a very interesting small town with an extensive historic centre, many antique shops, good restaurants and a large Saturday street market. Some terrific vineyards and the coast are half an hour away.

The hotel, staff and our room were all lovely. The room was immaculate and a lot of care and attention put into the decoration around the hotel and the room. Our suite had a small kitchen area with a fridge. The room would have benefitted from a mini bar. There was no room service that I was aware of, as there was no information in the room as you normally get with other hotels. The reception staff were very helpful, and would get you a drink from the bistro if you asked for one. A very lovely and relaxing hotel, very laid back. Great location.

Absolute hidden treasure of a hotel

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. We had a warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay all staff were friendly and polite. We didn't eat here as we were visiting family and had made plans prior to our arrival. However the menu looked delicious and I was sorry not to have the opportunity to dine.

A quirky, charming hotel in the middle of Pezenas

Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night, but will definitely return to spend more time there and the Pezenas area. The facilities were also good with a pool and a spa. The dinner at the Bistro was delicious and also the breakfast.We loved the location and it's proximity to the old town and the numerous squares and individual shops.If you like ice cream, there are a LOT of places to choose!

There was a problem when we arrived as the restaurant/bar was not open due to a private function. This was a disappointment as we were looking forward to dinner in the hotel. When we mentioned this the staff were fantastic and we were offered a complimentary meal in the restaurant the following night which was excellent. Everything in this hotel was great the food in the restaurant was very very good and value for money, the service in the hotel was marvellous, we had one small problem and that was the shower curtain it was very dirty and also there was a brown top cover on the bed that had marks on it, I think that maybe there housekeeper needs to do more checking on the cleaners, but having said that our stay went very well.

2 day stay. Staff very good. A bit basic but OK. The self catering aspect of rooms will appeal to many. Pool not in the best condition but may have been due to high winds which caused debris to float in it. Good position to walk to town and in quiet area. Would not pay the full advertised price of €250 or so a day. Hotels.com had an offer at just under €180 for 2 days and that was about right.

Excellent location with easy walk into town. Furnishings and decor very nice and restaurant excellent. However several things let it down badly! Lighting in room was appalling and not helped by having to ask 3 times for a replacement light bulb which took 48 hours to arrive. Also impossible to shave using bathroom mirror as lighting was so bad. Shower curtain was a bit grubby and, along with lack of anywhere to hang towels near the shower, let the swish bathroom down. Car parking also a problem when busy - when it's full you are told to park in the town car park which is free but also full at weekends! In spite of all this we would still consider using this hotel again as the location is so good.

I had booked 3 rooms for 6 people, however the hotel had only 2 rooms available for me and 0 options for a room on the night as our group was there for a wedding and everything was fully booked. They managed to squeeze four of us into a studio room with a bed and sofa bed. Not ideal but better than nothing.
The room was large but more for 3 people rather than 4.
I saw the other room I got which was huge.
The hotel is nice with good pool,parking, facilities.
Worth the stay but call ahead to make sure the rooms are booked correctly.

Very nice and spacy rooms. We did not try out the food or the pool. But nice to have it's own jaccuzi on the balcony. The hotel had only one (!) iron, so it was many frustrated guest who did not get to iron the shirts before a wedding that we jained. It was also somewhat frustrating at times when we needed help from the reseption that had not 24 hour service.

The Distillery is a lovely property in the charming town of Pézenas. Large rooms with really comfortable beds. We had many a nice glass of wine, coffee or light meal at the lovely wrought iron bistro-table in our room. Very impersonal but convenient for Pezenas centre

We stayed here 2 years ago and noticed a general lowering of standards this time. For example we arrived on a Sunday and asked about dinner - to be told that the restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday! Not only that - the bar is too!! There are only three sun loungers around the rather murky pool and the gardens are scruffy Breakfast although pricey was acceptable though. This hotel warrants a rating of maximum 3.

Great service and location

Excellent. Very helpful and informative staff; good table d'hote menus and fine selection of wine - some by the glass. Enjoyable outdoor pool with sunbeds and so comfortable Fatboys; probably in cooler times the indoor spa would be available but that was not a problem in July. The only downside was the inability to regulate the air conditioning: that was done centrally with the result that on some days when it was really not required it was running at a temperature set by the hotel; but not a major issue. We will certainly revisit.

A huge but.....

Although the location is ideal and our room was very aesthetically pleasing... This hotel lacks a lot!! The service was something to be desired.
We spent our time in France travelling around several different places in towns and hotels.
The breakfast was by far the worst... Despite the complete lack of choice for €15 each, it seemed to be a largely first come first served. When we arrived down at 9am, there was one piece of hardened bread and a few odds and ends of cheese. When we asked the waiter she said all the croissants and pain au chocolats where finished. We cancelled breakfast for the next morning and found much nicer places to serve is breakfast in the town for much less.
The wifi in our room never worked, we had to ask at reception several times before some eventually came up to have a look, albeit that the man let himself into the room while I was changing. He merely unplugged the device and replugged it, the wifi worked for all of 30seconds allowing him time to leave the room. I again returned to reception to explain this, where I was told to just deal with it and use the wifi in the library.
The air conditioning is controlled from the front desk, so we where unable to make any adjustments ourselves despite having quite a variance of weather.
There was no shower curtain for the shower, therefore each time we had a shower it left the bathroom floor in a completely hazardous condition, we had to lay extra towels on the floor to help maintain out safety.
This hotel has the potential to be so much better....

Great hotel in heart of historic town

Make sure you ask for a room with a terrace as rooms are a little dark without any outside space

En magisk byggnad. Ett gammalt distilleri som blivit hotell. Kunde varit topp. Men rummen känns opersonliga utan charm. Badrummet fuktskadat.
Men på plussidan. Proffsigt mottagande i receptionen. Stora rum med fina sängar och duntäcke. Stor TV med skön soffa. Frukosten kunde varit mer personlig och i frukostmatsalen sitter man på rad.Närhet till mysiga centrum

Très bien placé. Chambre familiale avec terrasse et bien rénovée, vue superbe… et Jacuzzi sur la terrasse ! Génial !

Quel dommage que le petit déjeuner soit médiocre et très cher !!!
